Shawn Michaels recently did an interview with X-Pac regarding the Greatest Royal Rumble. We recently did an article speculating on how much WWE would be paid for having the event in Saudi Arabia. Michaels in the interview says there is “alot of money being thrown around”, when asked if he considered participating. Michaels would go on to say that he declined a spot in the match. can see the full quote below:

There’s a lot of money being thrown around,” said Waltman. “It’s an insane amount of money being thrown around. I know that this weekend I was in Baltimore and I was with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash and we were talking about that. They wanted to get Shawn [Michaels], and he was just like, ‘you know what, don’t even bother sending me an offer and trying to tempt me.’ Because there’s huge money offers. And he’s going, ‘I got a thing with one of my kids, and I’m doing that, and that’s all there is to it.'”

As a reminder the Greatest Royal Rumble will be held this Friday at 12pm EST with a one hour preshow. The show is being headlined by Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar inside a steel cage. The event can be seen exclusively on the WWE Network.
