This past week’s edition of Impact Wrestling on Pop TV featured a battle of the behemoths as Kongo Kong took on Moose. Did it help Impact’s viewership numbers? Well, this week’s episode brought in 263,000 viewers, down significantly from last week’s 326,000, making it the show’s lowest since February 22nd when they only drew 262,000.

This put Impact last week at #109 on the Top 150 Cable, while last week’s episode was ranked #108. To no surprise, the NBA Playoffs reigned supreme, coming in at #1. It’s been up-and-down recently for Impact, particularly the month of May:

May 3rd Episode: 299,000 viewers
May 10th Episode: 295,000 viewers
May 17th Episode: 326,000 viewers
May 24th Episode: 263,000 viewers

The show’s opposition has been the biggest detractor in-terms of viewership as Impact sees upticks on the nights there’s been no NBA action. I don’t see the numbers as a reflection on Impact, but more on the choices a viewer has. Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on MTV has also consistently given Impact fits, but that series (or season) will be wrapping up shortly, a plus for Impact on Pop. I don’t know what the schedule is yet for the NBA Finals, but if next week’s Under Pressure edition of Impact is free and clear of basketball, we could see a big jump.
