We’re just over two weeks away now from New Japan Pro Wrestling’s next big event, Dominion on June 9th from Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka, Japan. Among the high-profile matches on the card will be Chris Jericho’s in-ring return to NJPW as he challenges Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.

The ‘Y2J’ in NJPW has been much different than what fans of his WWE work are used to, as Jericho has been given freedom to be much more aggressive than we’re familiar with. That continued today at New Japan’s Best Of The Super Juniors Night 4 at the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. With Naito in the ring, the lights went down and revealed Jericho on the big screen, cutting a promo on the leader of LIJ that included a number of F-bombs:

EA’s Take: At 47 years old, is there anybody smarter than Chris Jericho? He’s definitely lost a step in the ring, but good lord, this guy is entertaining as Hell still. Clearly, he wouldn’t be able to do a vast majority of what he’s done with NJPW in WWE and it seems he’s really enjoying being able to have freedom again. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a WWE lifer, but this kind of stuff appeals to me, a man in his early 30’s. Anybody that gripes about wanting the Attitude Era back, you’re watching the wrong company!
