NXT Spoilers: Complete NXT Television Taping Results For May & Early June
While tonight’s episode of NXT was airing on the WWE Network, the WWE’s third brand was at Full Sail University at the same time for its next set of television tapings. Below are the results which should lead us up into NXT TakeOver: Chicago on June 16th. It should also be noted that matches are not necessarily taped in the same order they will air:
- Lio Rush defeated Marcel Bartel
Tomasso Ciampa comes out to Johnny Gargano’s music and cuts a promo, leading to Candice LeRae making her way out. Back-and-forth leads to Ciampa getting slapped in the face.
- Lacey Evans defeated Brandi Lauren (Ava Storie), Kairi Sane attacks Lacey post-match
- Ricochet vs. The Velveteen Dream, Lars Sullivan interferes to cause a No Contest
- Kona Reeves defeated Raul Mendoza
- Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch defeated The Undisputed Era (Cole, O’Reilly, Strong)
- TM61 defeated Heavy Machinery
- Lacey Evans defeated Kairi Sane
Johnny Gargano comes out in a neck brace with Candice LeRae, cuts a promo and rips the brace off. Tomasso Ciampa comes out, referees attempt to stop them, but it leads to Ciampa hitting Gargano with an elbow that knocks him into Candice.
- Vanessa Bourne defeated Steffanie Newell
It’s announced that Dakota Kai will get a shot at Shayna Baszler’s NXT Women’s Championship next week.
- Handicap Match: Lars Sullivan defeated Ricochet & The Velveteen Dream
- Kassius Ohno defeated Chad Lail
- War Raiders defeated two enhancement talents (unspecified)
- EC3 defeated Fabian Aichner, Johnny Gargano comes out during the match and announces he will face Tomasso Ciampa at TakeOver: Chicago in a Street Fight
- Kairi Sane defeated Lacey Evans
NXT Champion Aleister Black comes out for a promo, but gets interrupted by Lars Sullivan. NXT General Manager William Regal eventually makes his way out and makes Sullivan vs. Black at TakeOver: Chicago for the NXT Title.
- NXT Women’s Title: Shayna Baszler retained over Dakota Kai, Baszler continues attacking after the match which leads to Nikki Cross coming out to stop it
