With it being reported earlier today that WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will not be defending his title again until the August 19th SummerSlam event (which you can see here), questions have arisen surrounding what the card for Extreme Rules could look like. Extreme Rules is set for July 15th, the next WWE PPV after June 17th’s Money In The Bank.

Currently, the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is already advertising a number of matches for Extreme Rules, which are as follows:

• Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley & Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Jinder Mahal
• Daniel Bryan vs. Samoa Joe

Additionally, the following Superstars are being advertised to appear:

• AJ Styles
• Seth Rollins
• Jeff Hardy
• Finn Balor
• Shinsuke Nakamura
• Charlotte Flair
• Carmella
• Sasha Banks
• Nia Jax
• The New Day
• Alexa Bliss
• Asuka

It should be noted that RAW Superstar Ronda Rousey has yet to be advertised and of course, cards are always subject to change.

EA’s Take: The most important part of this story is the last six words, “cards are always subject to change”. We really won’t know anything for sure about Extreme Rules until likely the RAW after Money In The Bank. I could see a scenario where Daniel Bryan vs. Samoa Joe takes place, but that 6-Man can’t remain. Not as a standard 6-Man at least, there should be some sort of stipulation there. This is like trying to prognosticate a Live Event card, we just have to wait and see.
