We’ve seen a lot of different crossover lately with contracted WWE talents competing for other promotions, most recently the news yesterday that NXT North American Champion Adam Cole will defend his title at EVOLVE 107 (you can find that story here). Today marks some more news on the crossover front.

Fight Club Pro has announced that WWE United Kingdom Superstar and former UK Champion, Tyler Bate, will be taking on Will Ospreay for the first time ever at ‘International Tekkers’. The event is set to take place on June 29th at the Starworks Warehouse in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom:

EA’s Take: So right after Dave Meltzer and The Wrestling Observer reports that talents signed to WWE United Kingdom deals aren’t allowed to work for promotions outside of the ones they have a relationship with (Insane Championship Wrestling, PROGRESS, EVOLVE), we get this news. You can take this one of two ways, either WWE has a relationship with Fight Club Pro now or they just flat out are allowing Bate to compete. It’s pretty interesting since Ospreay is a New Japan guy, so this is really a huge match for Fight Club Pro. Also, hard to believe it’s never happened before, but Bate’s pretty young and has been under the WWE umbrella for well over a year now.
