It’s been a couple of weeks now since we’ve seen WWE United States Champion and SmackDown Live Superstar Jeff Hardy on television, last appearing in a losing effort against Daniel Bryan in the main event of the May 22nd episode of the blue brand. Recently, it was thought that ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ had been dealing with a knee injury after limping his way through parts of the WWE’s European Tour (check that story out here), however Hardy did not miss any ring time.

On a recent edition of the PWTorch’s Pro Wrestling Podcast, Jonny Fairplay stated that Jeff is currently dealing with a pinched nerve, causing him to have numbness in his fingers. While Jeff has not appeared on-screen since May 22nd, he has continued working SmackDown Live Events, also competed in a dark match prior to last week’s episode against Shelton Benjamin and then again this week in the dark main event following 205 Live, teaming with Daniel Bryan against Big Cass and The Miz.

EA’s Take: Damn it people, I’m a writer, not a doctor! Horrible Star Trek references aside, I’m no medical professional, but if Jeff’s having numbness in any limbs then I don’t see why WWE would still have him in the ring. It’s entirely possible the issue has already been diagnosed and it’s something that needs to just be rehabbed, but again, I can’t imagine they’d be allowing him to take bumps at the same time until he’s fully healed. Remember, this is the same company mind you, that just saw a defamation lawsuit by their own doctor against a former Superstar come to an end over alleged mistreatment. We don’t say it because it’s catchy, it’s also a way of life. ALWAYS USE YOUR HEAD.
