WWE News: RAW Live Event Results From Rapid City, South Dakota (6/29/18)
As the Superstars of WWE’s SmackDown Live are in ‘The Land Of The Rising Sun’, Japan, this weekend for back-to-back shows in Tokyo (go here for day one results, then here for day two), the highway to tomorrow evening’s Monday Night RAW in Sioux Falls began for the red brand Friday night for a Live Event in Rapid City, South Dakota.
A number of RAW’s top Superstars were in action such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, plus an appearance from ‘Mr. Monster In The Bank’ Braun Strowman. Sasha Banks and Bayley had previously been announced for the show, however ‘The Legit Boss’ would state on Twitter that her flight had been cancelled while Bayley stated she was “taking a personal day” due to General Manager Kurt Angle announcing last week she would have to go to counseling for her attack on Sasha. Additionally, neither Jojo Offerman or Mike Rome were on-hand to do the ring announcing, therefore Adam Pearce stepped in to fill the role.
Here are the results:
- RAW Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy defeated Mojo Rawley
- Dana Brooke defeated Ruby Riott w/Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan
- The Authors Of Pain defeated Heath Slater & Rhyno
- Roman Reigns defeated Jinder Mahal w/Sunil Singh
- Bobby Roode vs. Baron Corbin never got started as Braun Strowman would hit the ring and leave them both laying
- RAW Women’s Title: Alexa Bliss retained over Natalya
- Intercontinental Title 2/3 Falls: Dolph Ziggler w/Drew McIntyre retained over Seth Rollins

Still not sure how I feel about being forced to go to therapy over something that isn’t my fault. I’m gonna have to take a personal day today. Sorry #WWERapidCity ❤️

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
