WWE News: WWE Superstar Returns Tonight On SmackDown Live
It’s been quite some time now since SmackDown Live has been without arguably its highest profile member of Women’s Division, Charlotte Flair, after undergoing surgery that had been put off for an extended period of time to repair a ruptured breast implant.
Previously, ‘The Queen’ appeared on Conversations with Maria Menounos and spoke more in detail on her procedure (find that here), also stating that she would be cleared to return to the ring on July 31st. Tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live opened with the new number one contender for Carmella’s SmackDown Women’s Title at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch, to talk about her upcoming opportunity. ‘The Princess of Staten Island’ would come out though, offering up a different side of herself than we’re used to seeing.
Carmella would speak about how she’s had to fight for everything she has, dealing with detractors from fans to WWE legends alike on a daily basis. She seemed to be sincere and wished Becky good luck at SummerSlam, offering up a friendly handshake. James Ellsworth’s music would hit though and with ‘The Lass Kicker’ drawn to the entrance ramp, Carmella would attack. Unfortunately for Carmella, Charlotte Flair’s date to be cleared was indeed true and ‘The Queen’ ran out for the save.
After a break, we would see General Manager Paige backstage awaiting the arrival of the champion, ‘The Princess of Staten Island’ reading her the riot act for Charlotte’s interference. Paige wasn’t hearing it though and would go on to make a match for tonight, as Charlotte Flair will take on Carmella and if she wins, SummerSlam will be turned into a Triple Threat.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
