The Young Bucks Discuss What Will Factor Into Decision On Their Future
As we’re on the verge of the big All In event this Saturday from the Sears Centre in Chicago, many fans still wonder what the future holds beyond the show for some of the bigger stars who will be competing on September 1st. As has been noted, Cody, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega all have contracts that will be expiring at the beginning of 2019 and it remains to be seen where they will take their careers next.
While it was revealed that WWE is set to make some big offers to all four men (read about that here), of course the decision ultimately resides in the hands of the performers. Last week, The Young Bucks appeared on The Ross Report with WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross and addressed what will factor into the decision on where they go next:
Matt Jackson: “Family is number one for us, it’s top priority. We both have two young kids and we care so much about them and we want to have quality time with them. And we’re gone a lot – I was just telling you before we started this thing – we’re coming off a two week stretch, in Japan for a week. We came home for twelve hours, which people thought we were afraid to do by the way, instead of going direct we went home for twelve hours and then went to the UK for a week, but we just got home two days ago and we just try to make the most of it. You know, that’s our own doing, we’re independent contractors. We make it really crazy for ourselves sometimes, but then like in July, Nick and I…we took it easy and we had a nice Summer with the kids. So yeah, family’s absolutely everything and we wanna…our goal is to be able to retire at a young age and spend even more quality years with our family and I wanna give my kids a great life.
And yeah, to answer your question I dunno, I guess. What are we gonna do, our contracts are up in like four months it’s like, it’s getting down to the eleventh hour almost now, we kinda have to make a decision. You know, if we’re gonna stay put, if we’re gonna go somewhere else, we’re gonna go back to just being independent guys. I dunno, the best thing is we’re in a great spot right now and I feel like we can’t really make a bad decision because whatever we do right now, we’re in one of those rare instances in someone’s career where whatever we do right now, it works. So I think we’re gonna make the right decision no matter what the decision ends up being.”

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
