While Monday Night RAW was on the air last night, the Superstars of WWE’s SmackDown Live took a short trip away from the Barclays Center for a Live Event in Atlantic City, New Jersey before returning to Brooklyn tonight for a new edition of the blue brand.

As has been noted, SmackDown Tag Team Champion Rowan of The Bludgeon Brothers suffered an unspecified arm injury at SummerSlam (check that out here) and therefore did not appear last night. However, Tye Dillinger returned to the ring after suffering a nasty fall recently (read about that here) as he teamed with The Usos to face The Bar and Shelton Benjamin. Plus, WWE Champion AJ Styles defended his title against Samoa Joe, as well as Charlotte Flair being challenged for the SmackDown Women’s Title by Carmella. Below are the results:

• SmackDown Women’s Title: Charlotte Flair retained over Carmella, Becky Lynch attacked Charlotte after the match
• WWE Title: AJ Styles retained over Samoa Joe
