EA’s Weekly RAW YouTube Report (10/29/18)
As we all know, social media and other outlets have become a huge means of drawing in interaction and viewers for WWE. Most people will point to television ratings like they did during the Monday Night Wars in the late 1990’s, however that can be skewed with so many various means of watching today that do not include cable television.
As you’ve become accustomed to, here is this week’s RAW YouTube Report (2:30 PM EST, 10/31/18):
- Seth Rollins vows to make Dean Ambrose’s life Hell – 3 million views
- D-Generation X gets one over on The Brothers Of Destruction – 2.4 million views
- Braun Strowman & Brock Lesnar clash before Crown Jewel – 1.7 million views
- Becky Lynch confronted Ronda Rousey after Evolution – 951k views
- 10-Woman Tag Team Match – 569k views
- Baron Corbin rewards Bobby Lashley with John Cena’s World Cup spot – 250k views
- Ember Moon vs. Nia Jax – 245k views
With Roman Reigns gone and Ronda Rousey surprisingly not appearing live the night after Evolution, the field was wide open for someone to start trying to takeover the weekly top spot. Just as I suspected, it’s reserved for the fallout of Dean Ambrose turning on Seth Rollins last week. Some people aren’t pleased with Roman’s cancer being in any way involved with this angle, but if anything I think it’s only made it even better than what I anticipated out of the eventual Ambrose turn. You know they wouldn’t be doing it if Roman wasn’t cool with it either.
Sliding into the second spot this week is the closing segment from RAW where DX was able to outsmart The Brothers Of Destruction, leading to The Undertaker being dropped by Sweet Chin Music. It’s really a shame that the issues surrounding Crown Jewel are overshadowing Shawn Michaels’ ring return. I could live without it, but a lot of fans have been waiting a long time for it and it’s merely become a sidebar.
Number three goes to our Universal Championship feud, which despite being thrown a curveball due to Reigns vacating the title, the name value is enough to keep people interested. Nobody will ever be able to tell me that Brock’s not a draw still…and did you hear that pop when he came out? Sorry, hate on him all you want, but facts are facts. Lesnar is still money. Last week I wondered if Braun Strowman could get back the momentum he had before he was turned heel, now that it appears he’s in line to be the guy. Tough to say this week because of who he was opposite from in this segment.
She didn’t appear live, but this video from after Evolution with Ronda Rousey is good enough to get into the fourth position this week. The match against Becky is the first to become official for Survivor Series and a bit unexpected after previous reports that this year’s event may not be so focused on brand vs. brand. Obviously that’s not the case and even though Becky’s on fire right now, expect her to do much better on YouTube leading into Survivor Series considering who the opponent is.
The rest of our top seven shows some less than stellar numbers to say the least and therefore, I’m grouping it all together into the “best of the rest”. Number five is driven by your Hall Of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus in their first match on RAW in years, but doesn’t draw what you’d think from Attitude Era Superstars with notoriety. Numbers six and seven are just…yikes. Both fall under 300k views and due to the amount of injuries we’ve got on the red brand, I think we could see a trend begin where the last couple of spots in our RAW YouTube Reports draw low, low views.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
