CMLL Coverage

Dragon Lee was promoting something during the break between matches I missed some of it. It felt like just upcoming events. I’m not sure if he can be on any unless he got voted off the show he’s doing in Mexico. Will have an update in my weekly opinion…. which will have been out by the time this is posted so go back and check if you care.

El Audaz, Titan, and Triton vs Virus, Templario, and Tiger

El Audaz and Virus start off with some standing grappling, both trying to get a hold of each others arm. They move onto a test a strength which leads to a take down by Virus. Audaz is able to reverse it into a neck handstand which he gets into a pinning combination. Impressive dexterity. CMLL does on the ground grappling exchanges really well. Other than some of the whacky looking submission it actually looks like they are grappling. Finally they meet a stale mate after a few minutes and Triton and Tiger come in and go at a ridiculously quick pace. Triton hits a hurricanrana on him to the outside and feigns a dive and hits a pose. Templario and Titan get in there now. Titan hits a hurricanrana off the top which brings Templario to the outside. As he goes for a dive he’s intercepted. Audaz and Triton make the save and bring the other two the outside and slide to the outside to meet them. Back in the ring Templario catches Titan with a lung blower for the fall. First Fall: Templario pins Titan with a lung blower.

The start of this round sees Audaz getting triple teamed as Titan and Triton recover in the corner. Tiger hits a super kick on Triton and puts a foot on his chest for a pin but the ref isn’t having it. As Audaz makes the save, or tries to he gets teamed on too. He makes the tag to Triton who makes a come back. Audaz hits a dive to the outside, Titan submits Templario with a leg lock and Triton pins Virus with a swanton bomb. Second Fall: Triton pins Virus with a swanton bomb.

Tiger and Audaz start and Audaz does a bunch of acrobatic things. Hitting a hurricanrana. He hits a arm drag from outside the ring on the ramp on Templario when he comes in. He feigns a dive. Virus hits him from behind and Triton makes his way in. He hits a hurricanrana then feigns a dive and hits a pose. Titan and Templario are left in the ring now and Titan kicks him off the apron and hits a dive. Virus gets in there with Audaz and quickly gets him in a stretch for the submission. Tiger and Triton get in and Triton gets a handspring attack countered into a back stabber for the pin. Tiger pins Triton with a backstabber for the win. Third Fall: Tiger pins Triton with a backstabber.

Winners: Virus, Templario, and Tiger

Diamante Azul, Angel de Oro, and Niebla Roja vs Mephisto, Luciferno, and Ephesto

During introductions they get the jump on Azul, Oro, and Roja and start beating on them. Ephesto and Roja are brawling in the crowd. Mephisto and Luciferno beat on Oro, then double boot Azul. Mephisto hits a tiger face buster for the pin. First Fall: Mephisto pins Diamante Azul with a tiger face buster.

They beat on Oro to start the round. When Roja makes the save they move their attack to him. Azul tries his hand to stop the attack and he does, clotheslining two of them and hitting a huge hip toss on Mephisto for the pin. Second Fall: Diamante Azul pins Mephisto with a hip toss.

Oro gets the whole crowd pumped up in the ring. After all of that Azul and Mephisto stare down and go at each other. Oro gets in after those two hosses go at it. He hits a bunch of big moves on all three of them. He throws him up to kick him in the face but it looks like he caught his groin, on Mephisto. After that Azul hits a dive to the outside. Oro hits a stunner on Luciferno then goes for a victory roll into a leg drop on Ephesto for the pin, meanwhile Roja hits a leg drop off the top for the fall on Luciferno. Third Fall: Niebla Roja pins Luciferno with a leg drop off the top.

Winners: Diamante Azul, Angel de Oro, and Niebla Roja

Caristico, Rush, and Mistico vs Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia, and Gran Guerrero

Caristico and Ultimo Guerrero start out with some rough grappling. After some grappling Mistico and Gran Guerrero get in. They do some free style wrestling trying to better their position to get an advantage. Euforia and Rush come in next, and Los Guerrero’s quickly comes in to triple team getting Rush out of there. They go to take care of Mistico and Caristico. Ultimo Guerrero threw Mistico in the air and Euforia kicked him in the gut for the pin. Gran Guerrero submits Caristico with a neck crank. First Fall: Gran Guerrero submits Caristico with a neck crank.

Second round starts with Mistico getting kicked off the apron. Ultimo press slams Mistico onto the seats. Rush throws Mistico back in and he gets double pressed slammed off the top. This time Caristico throws Mistico back in. They double press slam him again. Rush throws him back in again. Los Guerrero’s have enough of that and chase Rush. Back in the ring Caristico and Mistico hit hurricanrana’s and Caristico goes to shake Mistico’s hand. Mistico ignores it and goes for a dive. Caristico stops him and goes for the dive instead. Clearly Mistico is being out casted here. Rush hits the drop kick in the corner for the pin fall. Second Fall: Rush pins Ultimo Guerrero with a drop kick in the corner.

Rush starts the round by chucking Mistico in the ring. So clearly he’s being fed to the wolves. Caristico and Ultimo pose and Caristico leaves the ring. Rush and Caristico wait on the ramp and Mistico goes back in to do some acrobatic stuff. Mistico runs wild hitting a head scissors take over on Ultimo and a double arm drag on Euforia and Gran Guerrero. Caristico comes in the ring mockingly congratulating him. Clapping in his face treating him like a child. Ultimo shook Mistico’s hand too and put him in his corner. What is even happening in this match.

Rush and Ultimo Guerrero go at it and Rush hits a belly to belly which leads to Gran and Euforia to enter and attack him. Caristico enters and Euforia gets a hold of him and tells Mistico to attack him. Mistico hesitates, then super kicks him. He then lays down for Euforia to be pinned cause he’s still on the other team. Caristico isn’t satisfied with that and confronts Mistico but Gran Guerrero and Euforia grab him and press slam him off the top rope. They go to pin Caristico to have a real fall. Third Fall: Gran Guerrero pins Caristico with a press slam off the top.

Los Guerrero’s leaves Mistico in the ring and Rush and Caristico assault Mistico. Caristico hits him with seats. Caristico removes his mask and Rush whips him with cable wires.

Winners: Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia, and Gran Guerrero
