Jordan Fox’s BLOG: Heroes of Wrestling’s First Episode
Disclaimer – Sometimes you might wonder what the point of the stories are… I’ll be honest, sometimes there isn’t going to be any meaning to what I’m blogging. I just simply want to share these really cool moments I get to experience. I get to experience these wonderful moments because I work in “The Business.” I work in wrestling, that might not mean much to a non fan, but to wrestling fans, being a full time wrestling employee, like I am, is the Holy Grail.
The wrestling business is my full time job, my “shoot” job & this blog details the fun I experience in our wacky world of wrestling… ENJOY!
Episode 1 is in the books! Heroes of Wrestling is officially an Indy Wrestling Promotion with a media outlet that can reach thousands. As of this writing in fact, it (or we) has reached over 1,400 people (in terms of views.)
I’m anxious to know what people thought of the show but it’s hard to get accurate poll numbers in a situation like this. I could run a poll off of the Heroes site but it would be biased because the majority of people that would see the poll are people that have liked the Heroes of Wrestling Facebook page.
So, I guess that is something we won’t be able to fully report on until we get a wider reach with our episodes. Until then, you are stuck with what I thought of the show lol.
We shot 4 awesome matches, each one I grew more & more jealous that I am not able to get in there & learn from each of these professional athletes.
*Fabio Estrada vs “Mr Studtacular” Brysin Scott – These two guys are pure workers. I’ve been able to scratch the surface with both of these guys & I can’t wait to have them both on the show. you absolutely need to watch this match.
*Randy Wayne vs Graham Bell – I called my first “bull rope match” which featured Randy Wayne & Graham Bell. Holy shit these two guys are tough. That was a lot of fun. I had met both guys earlier in the evening & both were really cool to talk with. I was in a couple of group convo’s with Randy & you can tell he knows a lot about the wrestling business so I hope to pick his brain more as I get to know him better. I didn’t want to be the douche bag that asks him for advice on the first night lol.
*”The Arab Legend” Al Farat & Akbar Farat (w/ DF Santos) vs Brent Mckenzie & Scott Mckenzie (w/ Andy Dalton) – This match featured Al Farat who is someone that I really look up to. He has given me advice multiple times since i came into the business & has even came on my show, Indy Wrestling Radio. It was a fun match with tons of antics. This is truly one of those matches that you suspend your disbelief during & have a hell of a time watching.
*Brock Baker vs. “The Young Gun” Chandler Hopkins – Very Entertaining match. These two guys are insane in the best way possible. both of them in great shape & both of them know their way around a wrestling ring in a way that I hope to accomplish someday.
This show brought back a great memory of mine from the night it was shot. The night started off with me getting ready in the locker room & as I was pulling my hair back, my friend & stablemate, Malico, came to me & said we need to shoot something short for our MadWorld web series we are developing. During the 30 second clip he called me by my character name for the first time, Sly. I was over the moon. Something I’ve worked so hard towards & dedicated so much time to felt like it was starting to come together at that moment. It’s still one of my favorite moments in this business.
I hope everyone that is reading this will go to the “Heroes of Wrestling” Facebook page & watch our first episode. For me, someone new to the wrestling business (that has been a life long fan) it was truly an honor to be a part of the making of this new show. I absolutely cannot wait to see our work on tv.
Till next time ladies & gents! Stay Strong & Too Sweet!!

Chris King: Is Brock Lesnar Truly Retired?
Brock Lesnar retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, right? Are we totally sure? Chris King asks…
Brock Lesnar retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, right? Are we totally sure? Chris King asks…
At WrestleMania 42, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar took off his boots and gloves following his loss to Oba Femi. Lesnar has done it all inside of his twenty-four-year career in professional wrestling. He’s a ten-time WWE Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion, and he’s one who ended The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania.
While Lesnar was in the ring, he was visibly overwhelmed with emotion and crying while he thanked the fans in his own way. The Beast even threw up an x to signal to Paul Heyman, his longtime friend and advocate, that this was not scripted and was real. There had been rumors that Lesnar and Oba were supposed to have a series of matches before everything went down at Mania.
‘The Career Killer’ Gunther was doing Heyman’s bidding as he faced Seth Rollins for a favor. For a while now since Gunther retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, the rumor has been Gunther was set to retire Lesnar in his hometown at this year’s SummerSlam event. There’s been no confirmation if Lesnar is truly retired, but on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we saw Heyman talking with General Manager Nick Aldis. Later that night following Rhodes’ match against the debuting Ricky Saints, Gunther choked out the WWE Champion. Could this be the favor from Heyman?
I know in the world of professional wrestling we live by the mantra of “never say never,” but what if Lesnar is actually retired and this was WWE’s way of shutting down those rumors about Gunther and Lesnar? What if Gunther’s next program is chasing after the WWE title, and where is Randy Orton at in all of these plans? There are so many questions that need to be answered, hopefully soon!

Chris King: Defend The Intercontinental Championship At Backlash!
With WWE Backlash upon us, Chris King wants to see Penta defend the Intercontinental Championship in Tampa!
With WWE Backlash upon us, Chris King wants to see Penta defend the Intercontinental Championship in Tampa!
This year’s annual Backlash showcase is only a few days away, and while there are many big matches announced, one that definitely should be isn’t on the card. In my opinion, outside of Roman Reigns/Jacob Fatu and Seth Rollins/Bron Breakker, the Intercontinental Championship scene has been stellar over the last month.
Penta has been an excellent champion, especially after his triumphant title defense in a ladder match against JeVon Evans, Rusev, Dragon Lee, and the Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 42. Their ladder match at Mania was one of the best that WWE has produced in a while.
The momentum never stopped, as on the post-Mania episode of Monday Night Raw, ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page made his debut and was quickly inserted into the Intercontinental title scene. Page had a fantastic showing against his longtime NXT rival Evans and picked up a big win in his debut match thanks to an assist from Rusev.
All Ego immediately joined forces with ‘The Bulgarian Brute’ Rusev, who was also vying for the Intercontinental Title in his own right. On this week’s episode of Raw, Page and Rusev defeated Evans and Penta. All Ego pinned the champion, making a huge statement and putting him one step closer to getting a title shot. For the past few weeks I’ve been anxiously waiting to see if WWE was going to add this incredible fatal four-way match for the Intercontinental Championship, but it hasn’t happened yet.
As much as the WWE Universe enjoys witnessing great matches on free television, I truly believe all four superstars deserve the chance to showcase their talents on the PLE. While Penta has done a terrific job as the intercontinental champion, it’s time for a fresh face to hold the prestigious title. Page would make a great braggadocious heel that would help elevate the Intercontinental Championship to new heights!
