MLW News: Marko Stunt Faces Big Task At Fightland In Chicago
Major League Wrestling will be heading to Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois for a set of Fusion television tapings for the very first time, as their event Fightland arrives on Thursday, November 8th.
The lineup for MLW’s ‘Windy City’ debut is starting to stack up the closer we get to that date. So far, we know that Low Ki will defend the MLW World Title against Shane Strickland, PCO meets Brody King in a No Disqualification Match, CMLL star Rush makes his debut against Sammy Guevara, Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix defend the Tag Titles against LA Park and El Hijo de LA Park, plus Joey Ryan and Swoggle against The Dirty Blondes.
Today, MLW has announced a match for Fightland with a huge size discrepancy as Marko Stunt will go one-on-one with Ace Romero:
ACE ROMERO RUMBLES WITH MARKO STUNT IN DAVID VS GOLIATH ENCOUNTER NOVEMBER 8 IN CHICAGO AT MLW FIGHTLAND
CHICAGO –David versus Goliath is an age-old saga. Yet never before has Goliath taken to the air or pounced like Ace Romero… nor has David ever broken gravity and awed spectators like Marko Stunt. That changes November 8th when Ace Romero rumbles with “Mr. Fun Size” Marko Stunt as Major League Wrestling presents FIGHTLAND in Chicago at Cicero Stadium. The November 8th card is an MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.
Tickets are on sale now starting at $10 at http://www.MLWTickets.com.
Super heavyweight Ace Romero stomps his way into MLW on a major stage looking to send shockwaves through the entire league. But will he be able to catch the evasive and innovative Marko Stunt? Employing a high-octane offense, the nimble and enigmatic newcomer looks to blitz the massive Romero with an aerial attack November 8th in Chicago.
“Ace Romero harkens back to the days of agile super heavies like Bigelow and Vader,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “He’s not only got size but the agility and technical game to make every match different. That makes him dangerous… but he’s facing an enigma in Marko Stunt. Any and EVERYTHING is possible when Stunt is in an MLW ring.”
Will the meteoric rise of Olive Branch, Mississippi’s favorite wrestler continue or will it be stomped out by the walking jumbo jet that is the agile Ace Romero? Find out November 8th LIVE in Chicago at MLW: FIGHTLAND November 8th.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
