NJPW News: Fighting Spirit Unleashed Results (9/30/18)
New Japan Pro Wrestling returned to the United States last night in Long Beach, California for Fighting Spirit Unleashed.
The event featured some big matches including Juice Robinson defending the IWGP United States Title against NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion Cody, The Guerrillas Of Destiny challenged The Young Bucks for the IWGP Tag Team Titles, on top of Marty Scurll vs. Will Ospreay in the Semi-Finals of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Below are last night’s results, but you can watch the action this Friday night on AXS TV:
- ACH, Jyushin Thunder Liger & Ryusuke Taguchi defeated SHO, YOH & Rocky Romero
- Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian defeated Adam Page & Chase Owens
- Chris Sabin, Flip Gordon & Jeff Cobb defeated Hirooki Goto & Best Friends
- The Killer Elite Squad & Zack Sabre Jr. defeated EVIL, SANADA & Tetsuya Naito
- Jay White & Gedo defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi & KUSHIDA
- IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals: Marty Scurll defeated Will Ospreay
- IWGP Tag Team Titles: The Guerrillas Of Destiny defeated The Young Bucks to become the new champions
- IWGP United States Title: Cody defeated Juice Robinson to become the new champion
- The Golden Lovers defeated Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii, after the match Omega cuts a promo and challenges Ibushi for King Of Pro Wrestling. Cody comes out and says it should be a Triple Threat for the IWGP Heavyweight Title and they all agree
