In a very popular decision, WWE’s Renee Young became the company’s first ever regular female color commentator for Monday Night RAW back in September and according to a new report tonight, she’s about to make another big step for women.

Despite all of the controversy surrounding this Friday’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, WWE kept the location for the show as is. However, Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Crown Jewel will see a change from the last event in Saudi Arabia, Crown Jewel, as Renee Young will be joining commentary for the broadcast. It’s being said that it’s unclear what type of guidelines Renee will have to follow due to the country’s restrictions on females, but the company has reportedly been working on having her work the show since September.

At this time, neither WWE or Renee Young have made any public comments regarding the story.

EA’s Take: I have to be honest, I don’t particularly care for the move if it’s true. Not because of Renee, but just from a fan perspective. I can just picture all of the fans who have been against this show not seeing this for the big deal it is and believing it’s some kind of last second effort by the company to put some kind of positivity on it. And quite frankly, I could see a scenario where those people may even be correct. Let’s be real here though, this is a really big deal if it’s fact. Just be sure to really mind your P’s and Q’s over there Ms. Young.
