*SPOILERS* Tonight’s NXT TV Taping Results, Aleister’s Attacker Revealed (10/17/18)
Tonight’s episode of NXT on the WWE Network was the final episode that the brand had in waiting, therefore it was time to take back to Full Sail University this evening for another set of television tapings.
While it’s not known if tonight’s matches will air in the order they occurred, here are the results of tonight’s tapings to run into the month of November courtesy of @MrJacobCohen on Twitter:
- The first thing taped is a segment for Up Up Down Down with Xavier Woods in which WWE Superstars Seth Rollins, Ruby Riott, Cesaro and Tyler Breeze play League Of Legends against NXT Superstars Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Shayna Baszler and Dakota Kai
- NXT kicks off with a backstage promo in which General Manager William Regal tells security he needs to see Aleister Black as soon as he arrives
- The Undisputed Era comes to the ring for a promo and says they demolished the War Raiders so the rest of the roster should be on notice until EC3 interrupts
- Ec3 defeated Adam Cole, The Undisputed Era take out EC3 at the knee after the match
- Mia Yim defeated Aliyah
- Kassius Ohno defeated Justin Xavier, Nikki Cross comes out after the match and just laughs at Kassius
- William Regal makes his way out to announce the challenger for the NXT Title at War Games, but NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa interrupts. Velveteen Dream comes out and tells Regal to say his name, followed by Lars Sullivan coming out to claim the title shot for his own. Nikki Cross is back out and says that “he’s coming”, followed by Aleister Black hitting the ring and dropping Sullivan. Johnny Gargano then comes in from out of nowhere and lays Black out with a superkick, then puts his hood up to imply he was the one who attacked Aleister
- The Street Profits defeated The Mighty
- Nikki Cross defeated Merdeces Martinez, Candice LeRae comes out after the match and confronts Nikki. Aleister Black comes back out to stop Nikki from leaving, says something to Candice and then exits
- Matt Riddle defeated Luke Menzies
- Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch defeated Raul Mendoza & Humberto Carrillo
- The video screen shows a big brawl out in the parking lot between War Raiders, Ricochet and The Undisputed Era. Pete Dunne shows up and joins in, leading to Regal announcing this year’s War Games match will be Ricochet, Dunne & War Raiders vs. Undisputed Era (including Bobby Fish)
- Heavy Machinery defeated The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler)
- Dakota Kai defeated Taynara Conti
- Bianca Belair defeated Mia Yim

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
