After the WWE was on tour this weekend for shows in Bangor, Maine then Portland, Maine on Friday and Saturday, a Supershow on Saturday in Hartford and then another yesterday in Boston, a number of people have wondered the whereabouts of Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

‘The Big Dog’ did not appear at any weekend Live Events despite being advertised, which of course left a lot of fans disappointed. According to Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports, Reigns is suffering from an unspecified injury, something a rumor that Bryan Alvarez also brought up on Wrestling Observer Radio. However, it looks like this is all just a rumor as PWInsider is reporting that Roman is backstage for tonight’s episode of RAW in Providence, Rhode Island. Additionally, PWInsider notes that a source has indicated Reigns was simply given a weekend off and has been working out in the ring at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence. There’s no word on any injury at this time.

Another man that was absent from some of the action this weekend is that of the freshly returned Rey Mysterio, who kickstarted his latest WWE run last Tuesday on SmackDown 1000. While Rey was scheduled for yesterday’s Supershow in Boston and today’s SmackDown Live Event in White Plains, New York, Mysterio didn’t appear yesterday and will not be appearing tonight. This has led to more injury speculation, however PWInsider has been told by WWE sources that there was simply a change made and Rey is not injured. At this time, Mysterio is still set for tomorrow night’s SmackDown Live in Newark, New Jersey.
