EA’s Weekly RAW YouTube Report (11/26/18)
A look at the YouTube performance for this week’s WWE RAW!
As we all know, social media and other outlets have become a huge means of drawing in interaction and viewers for WWE. Most people will point to television ratings like they did during the Monday Night Wars in the late 1990’s, however that can be skewed with so many various means of watching today that do not include cable television.
As you’ve become accustomed to, here is this week’s RAW YouTube Report (2:30 PM EST, 11/28/18):
- Ronda Rousey & Natalya fight off The Riott Squad – 1 million views
- Intercontinental Title: Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler – 699k views
- Sasha Banks & Bayley get ambushed – 548k views
- Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre & Baron Corbin – 540k views
- Baron Corbin says his match with Braun Strowman at TLC is still on – 481k views
- Dean Ambrose is away getting immunized – 458k views
- Baron Corbin puts Alexa Bliss in charge of RAW’s women – 445k views
Overall, it’s a pretty putrid effort not only on the screen this week for RAW, but in the YouTube numbers as well. Compared to last week where multiple clips surpassed the million mark (see last week’s report here), only one hits that number this week. To no surprise, that goes to our RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey who can hit big numbers on any given week as long as she gets physically involved with someone. With no Roman, no Strowman, no Lesnar…there’s no chance for anyone to keep up with her this week.
Coming in second is by far the best match from RAW, despite the groans of fans on social media that we’ve seen it too many times, as Seth Rollins retained his Intercontinental Title over longtime rival Dolph Ziggler. Personally, I felt like it was not a smart move to not have Dean Ambrose appear in the arena and found his promo, which comes in at number six, to be too corny. I do not understand why Ambrose has to continue trying to be funny. I don’t find him humorous AT ALL, so why can’t we just make him the sick bastard character that he should be?
Sliding into third this week was a bit of an unusual segment where the new boss of RAW’s Women’s Division brought Sasha Banks and Bayley into the ring for a Q and A with fans in the arena. Of course it was all just a setup in the end, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. With Bliss’ return to the ring still completely up in the air, it looks like they’re going to try and use her to help get some of the other girls more opportunities during her absence. You know, like the Dana Brooke’s or Alicia Fox’s. The only problem is, I don’t think anybody cares.
Finishing out spots four, five and seven was the running theme for the evening, as the show was dominated by the power hungry Baron Corbin. There’s really not a lot to say about the numbers here, RAW was just plain bad this week outside of a couple of segments. I enjoy what they’re doing with Corbin as long as it helps elevate guys like Balor and Elias. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will be the case and we’re simply seeing those two get involved so that WWE has a backup plan in place if Braun misses TLC. Great heels create great babyfaces, but sometimes they lead to dud shows like we got on Monday. If you watch Austin Creed and Tyler Breeze’s GM Mode series on Up Up Down Down, they’d refer to this as a “building show”.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
