MLW News: Tag Titles On The Line In Never Say Never Main Event
The main event for MLW’s Never Say Never in Miami has been announced!
On December 13th and 14th, Major League Wrestling heads to Miami, Florida for Never Say Never and Zero Hour, its next set of Fusion television tapings for beIN Sports.
After yesterday’s announcement that Konnan will be stepping back into the ring one more time to challenge Low Ki for the MLW World Heavyweight Title at Zero Hour (check that out here), we now know what the main event for Never Say Never will be. Late last night, MLW revealed that Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix will defend their MLW World Tag Team Championships with the aforementioned Konnan in their corner against The Hart Foundation:
WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS REY FENIX & PENTAGON JR. VS. HART FOUNDATION TITLE MATCH TO MAIN EVENT MLW’S MIAMI DECEMBER 13TH TV TAPING
The Hart family have been winning championships for 88 years and on December 13th, 2018 the new era Hart Foundation will have their dance with destiny as they challenge for the World Tag Team Championship in Miami. Their opponents? The reigning World Tag Team Champions Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix.
Major League Wrestling today announced the main event for MLW’s Thursday night December 13th‘s Never Say Never card. World Tag Team Champions Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fénix (cornered by Konnan) vs. the Hart Foundation is signed for the Miami Scottish Rite Temple. Both December 13 & 14th cards are FUSION TV tapings for beIN SPORTS.
Buy tickets starting at $15 at MLWTickets.com. For just $20 fans can see both the December 13th (Never Say Never) and December 14th (Zero Hour) shows as part of the holiday combo ticket.
Since being crowned the World Tag Team Champions this past June, the Luchas Bros (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fénix) have defeated every tag team in Major League Wrestling… but one: the Hart Foundation.
Equally impressive are the trio known as the Hart Foundation consisting of Teddy Hart, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Brian Pillman Jr. Since exploding on the scene this past summer, the Hart Foundation have dominated all in their path on the road to a title match.
On a collision course since the fall, the media and fans alike have been buzzing about the dream match; a match which will now main event MLW’s December 13th Never Say Nevercard.
The much-anticipated bout marks the first time both teams have squared off against each other in tag team competition. With the Harts representing Canada and the World Tag Team Champions fighting out of Mexico, this international encounter has captured the interest of fans around the world.
“This is a big match,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “Fénix and Penta have practically cleaned out the division while the Hart Foundation have not just dominated but straight up decimated everyone we’ve thrown at them. Miami is in for something special when these four throwdown.”
But which two members of the Hart Foundation will wrestle in the title fight? Good question… one the unpredictable trio isn’t disclosing at the moment. Ever the fighting champions, Pentagon and Fénix are unfazed by the unpredictable nature of the Hart Foundation: they just want to prove once and for all they are the true kings of tag team wrestling in the sport.
Will the Hart Foundation end their incredible 2018 by bringing championship gold back to Calgary, Alberta Canada or will the Lucha Bros. enter 2019 unstoppable? Find out live Friday night December 13th in Miami! Buy tickets at MLWTickets.com.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
