ROH News: Kelly Klein Officially Enters WOH World Women’s Title Match At Final Battle
The final participant in the WOH World Women’s Title Match at Final Battle is official!
Coming up on December 14th, Ring Of Honor will make its way to the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for Final Battle, which will be followed by the Final Battle Fallout television tapings the next night in Philadelphia.
While the card for Final Battle seems to primarily be rounded out at this time, one match that had yet to be finalized was the Four Corners Survival Match for the WOH World Women’s Championship as one spot remained open. While the champion Sumie Sakai, Madison Rayne and Karen Q waited to see who their last opponent was, the qualifying match between Kelly Klein and Jenny Rose has now aired with Klein picking up the win. Here’s the official announcement from ROH:
FIELD COMPLETE FOR WOH WORLD TITLE FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL MATCH AT FINAL BATTLE
Ring of Honor’s seminal event, Final Battle, emanates from Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday Dec. 14. Final Battle is ROH’s biggest card of the year and has been the site of some of ROH’s most memorable matches.
All roads lead to the G1 Supercard, co-promoted by ROH and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, at sold-out Madison Square Garden on April 6, 2019, and the results at Final Battle undoubtedly will have an impact on the historic show.
At last year’s Final Battle, the huge announcement was made that a tournament would take place in 2018 to crown the inaugural Women of Honor Champion. One year later, the title will be defended at Final Battle in a Four Corner Survival Match, as Sumie Sakai puts her championship on the line against Madison Rayne, Karen Q and Kelly Klein.
FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL MATCH FOR WOH WORLD TITLE
WOH WORLD CHAMPION SUMIE SAKAI vs. MADISON RAYNE vs. KAREN Q vs. KELLY KLEIN
Klein defeated rival Jenny Rose in a qualifying match on the most recent episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” to claim the last remaining spot in the Four Corner Survival Match. Rayne and Karen Q previously had won qualifying matches, over Dr. Britt Baker and Kaitlin Diemond, respectively.
Sakai, who won the WOH Title tournament at Supercard of Honor in April and has reigned ever since, has proved to be a fighting champion. Her willingness to defend the title against anyone anywhere around the globe led to the championship being renamed the WOH World Title a few months ago.
The veteran billed from Jersey Shore, Japan will face arguably her toughest test yet when she takes on three formidable challengers at Final Battle.
Klein has been a dominant force in WOH for three years. The “Pretty Badass” went more than 2½ years without being pinned or forced to submit before Sakai pinned her in the finals of the tournament.
Rayne, a 13-year veteran who is no stranger to winning titles, has been as good as ever since making her WOH debut a year ago. She would love to cap what has been an amazing 2018 for her by leaving Final Battle as WOH World Champion.
Karen Q has been impressive since her WOH debut last year, when she made waves by handing Klein her first loss in WOH (by countout). She also has scored victories over Sakai (before Sakai won the title) and Deonna Purrazzo.
Will Sakai defy the odds and retain her title at Final Battle, or will a new champion be crowned?

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
