WWE News: Results From Tonight’s Starrcade In Cincinnati (11/24/18)
Results from tonight’s WWE Starrcade Live Event in Cincinnati!
After all the anticipation from fans who planned on attending, the WWE was in Cincinnati, Ohio this evening for its incarnation of the classic NWA/WCW namesake event, Starrcade, the second such event for the company.
After learning earlier today of what matches and segments from tonight’s action will air tomorrow night at 8PM EST on the WWE Network’s one hour special (for more on that go here), you may not want to read on if you wouldn’t like any of that to be spoiled. On top of those, tonight’s card also would pit AJ Styles against Samoa Joe inside of a Steel Cage, as well as Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. Below are the results:
- Elias opens the show with a live concert and is joined by Ric Flair. The two enjoy some banter before Nia Jax interrupts, followed by Alicia Fox, Mickie James and others in a segment that can be described as very ‘on the line’ of being PG
- Sasha Banks, Bayley, Dana Brooke & Ember Moon defeated Alicia Fox, Mickie James, Nia Jax & Tamina
- Drew McIntyre w/Dolph Ziggler defeated Finn Balor
- The B-Team defeated The Revival
- SmackDown Tag Titles: The Bar retained over The New Day
- Acting RAW General Manager comes out and talks about taking out Braun Strowman, then issues an open challenge
- Bray Wyatt defeated Baron Corbin, Corbin then restarts the match as No DQ and loses again this time with McIntyre, Ziggler, Balor and Elias all getting involved
- Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka
- The Miz is joined by Shinsuke Nakamura and Rey Mysterio for MizTV. Mysterio is wearing a neck brace and they talk about the history of Starrcade before thing break down leading into the US Title match
- United States Title: Rey Mysterio defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by DQ after The Miz interfered, Rusev then comes out with Lana and we have a tag match
- Rusev & Rey Mysterio w/Lana defeated The Miz & Shinsuke Nakamura

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
