The long trek to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel tomorrow at King Saud Stadium began for the WWE Superstars yesterday, after production crew started their journey around this time last week.

This was the perfect opportunity for TMZ Sports to question some of the Superstars about all of the controversy surrounding the event, more specifically John Cena and Daniel Bryan refusing to take part in the show. After being one of the first Superstars to comment on the problems revolving around the location of Crown Jewel (see that here), TMZ Sports caught up with ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton for his thoughts on Cena not going. Orton’s reply has been received as a shot at ‘The Leader of the Cenation’:

TMZ Sports would also catch The Miz and Big Show at the airport, however it was current SmackDown Tag Team Champion ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus who was asked about Cena and Bryan’s non-participation, to which he would offer up an answer that is much different than Orton:

EA’s Take: Look, we all know Randy’s a dick and he’s going to say what he thinks. I actually respect that. More than I respect Cena getting praised as a real “stand-up guy” of sorts although his decision is based purely on public relations. I’m not saying it’s not smart and I’m not discrediting any of the charitable, good-natured things he does in his free time, but I’m not going to trumpet him as some “do-gooder” based off of this specific choice. As it pertains to Sheamus, who knows if that’s actually how he feels. Regardless of your stance on the country or the event itself though, there’s still truth in what he’s saying.
