EA’s Weekly RAW YouTube Report (12/10/18)
A look at the YouTube performance for this week’s WWE RAW!
As we all know, social media and other outlets have become a huge means of drawing in interaction and viewers for WWE. Most people will point to television ratings like they did during the Monday Night Wars in the late 1990’s, however that can be skewed with so many various means of watching today that do not incluode cable television.
As you’ve become accustomed to, here is this week’s RAW YouTube Report (2:30 PM EST, 12/12/18):
- TLC Match: Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin – 1 million views
- Ronda Rousey & Nia Jax go face-to-face – 644k views
- RAW Tag Title Match: AOP & Maverick vs. Roode & Gable – 568k views
- Seth Rollins addresses Baron Corbin’s failures – 546k views
- Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler – 373k views
- Ember Moon vs. Tamina – 320k views
- Seth Rollins feels the effects of a TLC Match – 308k views
Much like the ratings and Cable Top 150 Rankings this week, RAW sees some pretty big drops on YouTube for a go-home pay-per-view show. Unseating Ronda Rousey and dominating our list this week is Seth Rollins, who shows up three times, but appears at number one with the RAW main event Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match for his Intercontinental Title. Everything surrounding Rollins and Corbin was the main storyline of the whole show, also putting it at number three and seven as both guys are on the brink of big matches at TLC.
Sliding down to number two this week is our RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Any guesses as to why? Bueller? Anything we’ve discussed regarding Ronda’s YouTube clips before? Physicality. When she’s not getting physically involved, her YouTube numbers fall significantly, as evidenced again this week. Now on the other hand, numbers for every clip seem to be down, so there’s another factor to add in with regards to why she’s not number one this week. Her effect is still there though, helping pull Ember Moon vs. Tamina into the sixth spot.
At number three this week comes some unfamiliar names in our YouTube Reports, as AOP defended their RAW Tag Titles alongside Drake Maverick in a Handicap Match against Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. Aside from overall numbers being lower, much like Rousey there is another reason I’ve discussed before why a clip like this would be ranked so high up for those who follow along every week. The key here is the title change. Always a help when it comes to YouTube regardless of the participants.
Lastly, down at number five this week was my favorite match from RAW as former friends Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler put on a tremendous match. You know, Dolph Ziggler is STILL so underrated. Just look at the performances he’s had over the past…Hell, just the last month. This was no different, as it made both guys look strong with McIntyre essentially escaping with a victory. Unfortunately, the low views will have to change for Drew should WWE want to keep heading towards having him at the top of the card.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
