Results from the last NJPW World Tag League event!

After 15 events that began in mid-November, New Japan Pro Wrestling completed its World Tag League tour today in Iwate after yesterday’s show in Akita (see those results here).

Today’s finale featured the top two finishers in the World Tag League standings battling for a shot at the IWGP Tag Titles (or to prevent one) as EVIL and SANADA took on The Guerrillas Of Destiny. On top of that, the NEVER Openweight Title was on the line as Kota Ibushi challenged Hirooko Goto, meanwhile the next challenger was determined as Will Ospreay went one-on-one with Taichi in a Number One Contender’s Match. Below are the results with New Japan’s next event on December 14th with the Road To Tokyo Dome:

• Satoshi Kojima, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Manabu Nakanishi & Yuji Nagata defeated Ayato Yoshida, Shota Umino, Toa Henare & Togi Makabe
• Takashi Iizuka, Minoru Suzuki & Killer Elite Squad defeated Best Friends, Jeff Cobb & Michael Elgin
• Tomohiro Ishii & Roppongi 3K defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru, El Desperado & Zack Sabre Jr.
• Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI & Shingo Takagi defeated Chase Owens, Hangman Page & Yujiro Takahashi
• Bad Luck Fale, Jay White & Taiji Ishimori defeated Toru Yano, KUSHIDA & Kazuchika Okada
• The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega & Marty Scurll defeated Ryusuke Taguchi, David Finlay, Juice Robinson & Hiroshi Tanahashi
• NEVER Openweight Title #1 Contender’s Match: Will Ospreay defeated Taichi
• NEVER Openweight Title: Kota Ibushi defeated Hirooki Goto to become the new champion
• World Tag League Finals: SANADA & EVIL defeated The Guerrillas Of Destiny
