A new report says Finn Balor is set for a push!

If you’ve been following along with the pro wrestling news world over the past handful of months, it’s been no small secret that the WWE is in on Drew McIntyre as a future star, which has played out on television as ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ went a number of months without taking a pinfall loss.

That changed recently though during his current feud with Finn Balor that has now added Dolph Ziggler, as McIntyre has taken multiple pinfalls lately. Now while some have taken this as a sign that perhaps the company has cooled on Drew, a new report offers up what may be a different explanation.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Balor is set to receive a push on the RAW brand in 2019. While at this time it hasn’t been specified exactly what that would entail for Finn, it sounds like we’ll be seeing him in a more prominent role moving forward.

EA’s Take: I have to buy this, it makes a lot of sense considering what’s happened lately between himself and McIntyre. Plus, we know the red brand is in need of some people to step up, so there’s not really a better option for RAW unless you want to take somebody away from SmackDown Live (which I don’t). If I had to take a guess as to what exactly this means, I don’t believe we’re talking the Universal Title picture. I think the more likely scenario would be to put Finn with Dean for the Intercontinental Championship. I’m not a fan of Ambrose in the least, but this is at least something new for both him and Balor, not to mention it gets Dean the hell away from Seth Rollins.
