NXT UK TakeOver: WWE United Kingdom Championship, New Superstar Debuts
Joe Coffey challenged Pete Dunne for the WWE UK Title at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool!
After Toni Storm became the new NXT UK Women’s Champion, it was main event time at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool as Pete Dunne defended the WWE United Kingdom Championship against ‘The Iron King’ Joe Coffey (keep up with all the action with Mitchell’s Live Report).
It was a slow build with both Superstars feeling each other out to begin with ‘The Bruiserweight’ using his trademark joint manipulation to torture the challenger. The bigger, stronger Coffey would look to do some wearing down of his own before the pace finally picked up, then slowed back down as the champion went back to submissions to keep ‘The Iron King’ grounded.
That aforementioned power advantage would come back into play though, as Coffey would utilize to to nullify Dunne’s offense. As the battle moved to the outside, Coffey would continue to dominate ‘The Bruiserweight’, but eventually Dunne would pick the pace up. Surprisingly, ‘The Iron King’ would keep up with his smaller, quicker opponent, as both men pulled out some high-flying maneuvers as well in an effort to finish things off.
The finish would come with both guys seeming to be completely drained of energy after hitting their finishers for near falls. One more Bitter End from ‘The Bruiserweight’ would precede some more joint manipulation on Coffey, leading to the tap out.
After the match, a new Superstar would make his way out to the stage as NXT UK’s newest signing, WALTER, would approach the ring and lay out Coffey before going face-to-face with Dunne.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
