WWE News: Braun Strowman’s Royal Rumble Title Shot Is No More
The Universal Title Match at Royal Rumble has changed!
Tonight just before Monday Night RAW went on the air, reports surfaced that we would be seeing an angle that would change a top match at Royal Rumble on January 27th.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, there have been in plans in place for one of the main event matches to be changed for some time, however there were no specifics given at the time. Interestingly enough, Meltzer would speculate that once other outlets got the story, they would report that the change would be because of an injury, but that’s not the case.
Since then, other outlets have indeed issued reports, one from Ringside News stating that their sources have said Braun Strowman will not be cleared in time for Royal Rumble for his scheduled match for the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar. On top of that, WrestleVotes would also report hearing the same:
Is the Royal Rumble poster missing anything? Hearing the Lesnar / Strowman matchup may indeed be changed tonight. Braun is still not 100%.
And yet, people were yelling at us that he was “definitely” wrestling at TLC. pic.twitter.com/DWyn0ovO9M

RAW kicked off this evening with Mr. McMahon stepping out of his limo in the parking lot before we would go inside the arena where the aforementioned ‘Monster Among Men’ would head to the ring. Braun would discuss his upcoming shot at ‘The Beast Incarnate’, but Baron Corbin would come out and get under Strowman’s skin, leading to a chase out to the parking lot. It’s here that Braun would find Corbin hiding in Mr. McMahon’s limo, busting out a window and ripping a door off to try and get at him.
Unfortunately for Braun, Baron would escape and ‘The Monster Among Men’ would turn to see an irate WWE Chairman. Initially, Mr. McMahon would levy a $100,000 fine on Strowman, but when Braun would raise his voice Vince would take away his Universal Title opportunity.
At this time, no reason for why the change is taking place or who could challenge Brock at the Royal Rumble has been confirmed. Follow along with Mitchell’s Live RAW Report and possibly find out tonight!

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
