WWE News: New Universal Title Match Now Set For Royal Rumble
Brock Lesnar has a new Royal Rumble challenger!
Now that Braun Strowman is officially out of the Universal Championship Match at Royal Rumble on January 27th (more on that here), we needed a new challenger to step up to the plate and that would be determined tonight on RAW (keep up with it all with Mitchell’s Live RAW Report).
After John Cena, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Finn Balor all got Mr. McMahon’s ear with regards to getting the opportunity, The Chairman would make a Fatal 4-Way tonight with the winner earning the opportunity. While a Fatal 4-Way Match with the likes of Cena, McIntyre and Corbin all involved was a tough enough task that even Vince would question he could pull of, Balor would be forced into action prior to that against Jinder Mahal just to hang onto that spot.
Finn would be victorious, but banged up as it came time for the main event and all the “beef” in the match Mr. McMahon referenced earlier in the night would dominate the majority of the match with Cena, Corbin and McIntyre all having chances at getting a win. The resilient Balor would fight his way back into it though, kicking out after the opportunistic former-constable nearly reaped the benefits of Cena delivering a second rope Attitude Adjustment.
In the end, Finn would take advantage of an opening and hit Cena with a Coup De Grace, getting the three count and a shot at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship:

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
