News Here! AJ Lee Returning? PG Era Dead? EVOLVE and More!

AJ Lee Open To Return?
Since the start of the Women’s Revolution in WWE, one of the names that has never been brought back for a Royal Rumble or the Evolution pay per view is AJ Lee. Since Lee left the WWE in 2015, she has remained rather quiet about a return to wrestling. Lee recently did an interview with Kristine Leahy of Fair Game, and the topic of a return to the ring was brought up.
“I say, never say never. Every time I have said never in my life, I have ended up doing the thing. Like, ‘Oh my god, I’m never going to date a wrestler. I will never date another wrestler.’ Then it keeps going and I married one. I say that I don’t know what the future holds, to not hold your breath, but never say never.”
Jason’s Take
Lee made her exit from the WWE literally months before the Women’s Revolution began in the company. She would have been someone who would have fit in and performed well with Lynch, Banks, Flair, and Bayley. Lee is still fairly young at 32, and appears to still be in shape. I wouldn’t expect her to return to WWE anytime soon, but could see her returning to wrestling if the right opportunity presented itself. Punk and Lee vs Rollins and Lynch anyone ?
Vince McMahon Ditching PG?
One of the most common complaints among wrestling fans is the PG Era of WWE. Many feel that the reason the company has been garnering low ratings is due to the less edgey product. According to Dave Meltzer and Wrestling Observer Radio, change may be on the way.
“They were very aware that they had lost touch with the teenagers. They were afraid of completely losing teenagers, especially when AEW starts. This is a direction they felt they had to go.”
Jason’s Take
WWE does seem to be taking a more edgey approach to the product with the opening segment of this weeks RAW, and Corey Graves dropping a “holy shit” while on commentary. Personally, I have never felt that WWE being in the PG Era has ever effected ratings to the point of them being some of the lowest in history. Creative decisions have more to do with that than anything.
EVOLVE/WWE Network Show Matchups
WWE has been criticized for streaming the upcoming EVOLVE 10th anniversary show, the same night AEW hosts Fight For The Fallen. Regardless, the card appears set for the show, and it looks stacked.
NXT Championship Match
Adam Cole (c) vs. Akira Tozawa
EVOLVE Champion vs. WWN Championship — Winner Take All
EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory vs. WWN Champion JD Drake
EVOLVE Tag Team Championship Match
Eddie Kingston & Joe Gacy (c) vs. AR Fox & Leon Ruff with Ayla & The Skulk
Catch Point Reunion Match
Matt Riddle vs. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak
Grudge Match
Anthony Henry vs. NXT Superstar Arturo Ruas
Special Challenge Match
NXT Superstar Babatunde vs. Colby Corino
Fatal 4-Way Match
Curt Stallion vs. Sean Maluta vs. Stephen Wolf vs. Harlem Bravado
Special Attraction Match
Josh Briggs vs. Anthony Greene with Brandi Lauren
Jason’s Take
This will be the first battle between WWE and AEW. While I don’t really considering much of a competition, it really gets under Kenny Omega’s skin, so I enjoy that.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
