WWE Royal Rumble Probability and Predictions
The Royal Rumble is right around the corner. Who are your odds-on favorites? You might be surprised who the betting experts have targeted.
The Royal Rumble is right around the corner. Who are your odds-on favorites? You might be surprised who the betting experts have targeted.
There is never a shortage of things to talk about when it comes to WWE and professional wrestling in general. Whether is big, bombastic storylines, heel turns, or exciting match ups in major events, the WWE always gives us something to gab about. Sure, sometimes we are complaining about what crappy writers they have, but often we are excited about the way a story might be developing and the upcoming matches … it’s a heck of a roller coaster.
Latest Odds on Who’ll Win the Royal Rumble
It’s hard to believe that we are only a couple of months away from the 2020 Royal Rumble! Last season the Rumble was the key to Seth Rollins Beast Slaying ways and of course, Becky Lynch may have had the best Royal Rumble victory ever …
So where do we start, Men’s or Women’s? OK, Men’s.
A lot of folks seem to think that Kofi Kingston should get the win at Royal Rumble. Many are still upset with how quickly he was smashed by the Beast. But, if we look at the betting odds, it’s probably not going to happen. Kingston is 20-1 win the Royal Rumble in January – remember to compare your options with this 5Dimes review before getting into the action.
If you think that Seth Rollins is going to win back to back Rumbles, think again … he is way, way back at 25-1 to repeat. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rollins in the Final 4 and set up to look like he is about to win two straight years … just to get hit beaten at the very end.
The odds-on leader is Roman Reigns at 9-2 or +450. It’s about time that he got another Royal Rumble win and we have to think that he can beat Lesner if Rollins can … I mean, He did beat him in SummerSlam, so …
If we were going strictly by the probability that is implied by the odds on the massive match, the Final Four would be:
- Roman Reigns 9/2
- Bray Wyatt 6/1
- Finn Balor 9/1
- Cain Velasquez 10/1
Sitting just outside the Top 4 are Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, and AJ Styles. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Drew McIntyre or Kevin Owens in the No. 4 spot because I just can’t see Cain Velasquez in the Final 4 … I mean, the guy can’t even throw a believable punch.
Ok. On to the Women. Last year was amazing, and we should expect just as much mayhem this time around, especially given the venue.
Fans, as well as I, expect Sasha Banks to go deep into the Royal Rumble. She’s amid a career high-point after her turn to heel and is legitimately one of the biggest stars in the WWE. But she isn’t at the top of the odds boards. Well, she isn’t far from it either. The Big Boss Lady is 10-1, tied for that No. 4 spot with Nikki Cross and Charlotte Flair. That said, let’s make one thing clear: I do not think Nikki Cross is still alive and fighting come Final 4 time.
What about Naomi? We could see her return to the spotlight in Royal Rumble to gather up some fans again for the rest of the year … but her odds to win are back at 40-1, which means, NFL.
The Top 3 on the odds boards are:
- Rhonda Rousey 4/1
- Kairi Sane 6/1
- Shayna Baszler 8/1
Sure, many might get upset about a Rowdy win … but I do think it will happen. She got a bit of a debut last year, but she was still kind of in transition from real fighting to fake fighting … and her pro wrestling skills were not quite up to par yet. Now, they are. In fact, Rhonda has the best odds out of any individual, male or female to win. At the moment, her chance of winning is set at 20%. Not bad at all when you look at how big the field is.
I think the Women’s Royal Rumble comes down to Rhonda, Sasha, Kairi Sane, and Charlotte Flair … even though I hope Flair gets a tooth knocked out beforehand.

Chris King: Is Brock Lesnar Truly Retired?
Brock Lesnar retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, right? Are we totally sure? Chris King asks…
Brock Lesnar retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, right? Are we totally sure? Chris King asks…
At WrestleMania 42, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar took off his boots and gloves following his loss to Oba Femi. Lesnar has done it all inside of his twenty-four-year career in professional wrestling. He’s a ten-time WWE Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion, and he’s one who ended The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania.
While Lesnar was in the ring, he was visibly overwhelmed with emotion and crying while he thanked the fans in his own way. The Beast even threw up an x to signal to Paul Heyman, his longtime friend and advocate, that this was not scripted and was real. There had been rumors that Lesnar and Oba were supposed to have a series of matches before everything went down at Mania.
‘The Career Killer’ Gunther was doing Heyman’s bidding as he faced Seth Rollins for a favor. For a while now since Gunther retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, the rumor has been Gunther was set to retire Lesnar in his hometown at this year’s SummerSlam event. There’s been no confirmation if Lesnar is truly retired, but on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we saw Heyman talking with General Manager Nick Aldis. Later that night following Rhodes’ match against the debuting Ricky Saints, Gunther choked out the WWE Champion. Could this be the favor from Heyman?
I know in the world of professional wrestling we live by the mantra of “never say never,” but what if Lesnar is actually retired and this was WWE’s way of shutting down those rumors about Gunther and Lesnar? What if Gunther’s next program is chasing after the WWE title, and where is Randy Orton at in all of these plans? There are so many questions that need to be answered, hopefully soon!

Chris King: Defend The Intercontinental Championship At Backlash!
With WWE Backlash upon us, Chris King wants to see Penta defend the Intercontinental Championship in Tampa!
With WWE Backlash upon us, Chris King wants to see Penta defend the Intercontinental Championship in Tampa!
This year’s annual Backlash showcase is only a few days away, and while there are many big matches announced, one that definitely should be isn’t on the card. In my opinion, outside of Roman Reigns/Jacob Fatu and Seth Rollins/Bron Breakker, the Intercontinental Championship scene has been stellar over the last month.
Penta has been an excellent champion, especially after his triumphant title defense in a ladder match against JeVon Evans, Rusev, Dragon Lee, and the Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 42. Their ladder match at Mania was one of the best that WWE has produced in a while.
The momentum never stopped, as on the post-Mania episode of Monday Night Raw, ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page made his debut and was quickly inserted into the Intercontinental title scene. Page had a fantastic showing against his longtime NXT rival Evans and picked up a big win in his debut match thanks to an assist from Rusev.
All Ego immediately joined forces with ‘The Bulgarian Brute’ Rusev, who was also vying for the Intercontinental Title in his own right. On this week’s episode of Raw, Page and Rusev defeated Evans and Penta. All Ego pinned the champion, making a huge statement and putting him one step closer to getting a title shot. For the past few weeks I’ve been anxiously waiting to see if WWE was going to add this incredible fatal four-way match for the Intercontinental Championship, but it hasn’t happened yet.
As much as the WWE Universe enjoys witnessing great matches on free television, I truly believe all four superstars deserve the chance to showcase their talents on the PLE. While Penta has done a terrific job as the intercontinental champion, it’s time for a fresh face to hold the prestigious title. Page would make a great braggadocious heel that would help elevate the Intercontinental Championship to new heights!
