Bodeen’s Top 5 Moments: WWE Raw (2/15/21)
Elimination Chamber is this weekend, and Bodeen provides his Top 5 for the go-home edition of WWE Monday Night Raw!
Elimination Chamber is this weekend, and Bodeen provides his Top 5 for the go-home edition of WWE Monday Night Raw!
With the Elimination Chamber PPV just a few days away the go-home edition of RAW this week felt slow to watch, leaving a very disappointing taste in the mouth with the only real highlight of the show being the gauntlet match for the Elimination Chamber entry order. With that in mind, it is time yet again to look at the top 5 moments.
5. Drew McIntyre and The Miz open the show
A large problem with RAW is that it begins with a long promo which drags on for way too long. While opening promos can do a nice job in setting up a show, most of the opening promos on RAW feel long and dragged out, drawing out excitement for the show.
Luckily The Miz and Drew McIntyre avoided this trend as they had a solid segment with each other with Drew showing no care for The Miz’s promo as he gave The Miz a headbutt before leaving.
Miz would later get up and grab the microphone to tell fans that he was vacating his Elimination Chamber spot due to him holding the Money In The Bank briefcase.
4. Riddle and Lucha House Party beat The Hurt Business
Despite this being yet another random 6 man tag team match on RAW, Riddle, Lucha House Party and The Hurt Business put on a good match, with Riddle gaining momentum heading into his United States Championship match at the Elimination Chamber as he pinned MVP.
Even though they were the side story of the match, Lucha House Party continued to show why they are extremely underrated as they put on some great action against The Hurt Business.
Bobby Lashley looked great once again as he destroyed Riddle ahead of their Triple Threat match with Keith Lee at the Elimination Chamber.
3. Kofi Kingston qualifies for the Elimination Chamber
Throughout his long career in WWE, Kofi Kingston has proven time and time again that he can step up to any occasion when required, with Kofi stepping up yet again this week on RAW as he beat The Miz in a solid match to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match this Sunday.
Miz and Kofi delivered one of the few good matches on RAW this week as Kofi once again showed off his high flying ability. Miz would target the leg of Kingston later in the match, affecting Kingston heading into the gauntlet match later in the night.
With Kofi Kingston back in the title picture, could this mean a sequel to Kofimania?
2. Drew McIntyre runs the gauntlet
Just over a year ago Drew won the 2020 Royal Rumble and gave himself a massive launching pad heading into WrestleMania 36. Fast forward a year later, Drew has had amazing matches for the WWE Championship with the likes of Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and AJ Styles, carrying RAW through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Drew would once again look strong as he ran the gauntlet, beating AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton only to be eliminated by his former best friend, Sheamus who won the gauntlet match to enter at number 6 in the Elimination Chamber match.
Despite losing, Drew would push Sheamus to the limit even after being in three matches making Drew look resilient in defeat.
1. The pre-chamber gauntlet match delivers once again
The pre-chamber gauntlet match once again delivered, putting on an amazing hour of wrestling. The match did a great job in showcasing the ability of all six men involved, as well as revisiting old and new rivalries such as the rivalry between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton.
Kofi Kingston and AJ Styles would do a great job in opening the match, with AJ targeting Kofi’s injured leg to win the match. Drew come on next and beat AJ in a hard-fought contest. Drew would keep on fighting, even beating Jeff Hardy.
Orton would come out next and dominate Drew, only for Orton to be distracted by Alexa Bliss, with Orton being counted out. Leaving Sheamus to beat his former best friend.
These were my top 5 moments from Monday Night RAW this week. What were your top 5 moments and what are your predictions for this Sunday? Let us know in the comments below

Chris King: Is Brock Lesnar Truly Retired?
Brock Lesnar retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, right? Are we totally sure? Chris King asks…
Brock Lesnar retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, right? Are we totally sure? Chris King asks…
At WrestleMania 42, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar took off his boots and gloves following his loss to Oba Femi. Lesnar has done it all inside of his twenty-four-year career in professional wrestling. He’s a ten-time WWE Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion, and he’s one who ended The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania.
While Lesnar was in the ring, he was visibly overwhelmed with emotion and crying while he thanked the fans in his own way. The Beast even threw up an x to signal to Paul Heyman, his longtime friend and advocate, that this was not scripted and was real. There had been rumors that Lesnar and Oba were supposed to have a series of matches before everything went down at Mania.
‘The Career Killer’ Gunther was doing Heyman’s bidding as he faced Seth Rollins for a favor. For a while now since Gunther retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, the rumor has been Gunther was set to retire Lesnar in his hometown at this year’s SummerSlam event. There’s been no confirmation if Lesnar is truly retired, but on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we saw Heyman talking with General Manager Nick Aldis. Later that night following Rhodes’ match against the debuting Ricky Saints, Gunther choked out the WWE Champion. Could this be the favor from Heyman?
I know in the world of professional wrestling we live by the mantra of “never say never,” but what if Lesnar is actually retired and this was WWE’s way of shutting down those rumors about Gunther and Lesnar? What if Gunther’s next program is chasing after the WWE title, and where is Randy Orton at in all of these plans? There are so many questions that need to be answered, hopefully soon!

Chris King: Defend The Intercontinental Championship At Backlash!
With WWE Backlash upon us, Chris King wants to see Penta defend the Intercontinental Championship in Tampa!
With WWE Backlash upon us, Chris King wants to see Penta defend the Intercontinental Championship in Tampa!
This year’s annual Backlash showcase is only a few days away, and while there are many big matches announced, one that definitely should be isn’t on the card. In my opinion, outside of Roman Reigns/Jacob Fatu and Seth Rollins/Bron Breakker, the Intercontinental Championship scene has been stellar over the last month.
Penta has been an excellent champion, especially after his triumphant title defense in a ladder match against JeVon Evans, Rusev, Dragon Lee, and the Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 42. Their ladder match at Mania was one of the best that WWE has produced in a while.
The momentum never stopped, as on the post-Mania episode of Monday Night Raw, ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page made his debut and was quickly inserted into the Intercontinental title scene. Page had a fantastic showing against his longtime NXT rival Evans and picked up a big win in his debut match thanks to an assist from Rusev.
All Ego immediately joined forces with ‘The Bulgarian Brute’ Rusev, who was also vying for the Intercontinental Title in his own right. On this week’s episode of Raw, Page and Rusev defeated Evans and Penta. All Ego pinned the champion, making a huge statement and putting him one step closer to getting a title shot. For the past few weeks I’ve been anxiously waiting to see if WWE was going to add this incredible fatal four-way match for the Intercontinental Championship, but it hasn’t happened yet.
As much as the WWE Universe enjoys witnessing great matches on free television, I truly believe all four superstars deserve the chance to showcase their talents on the PLE. While Penta has done a terrific job as the intercontinental champion, it’s time for a fresh face to hold the prestigious title. Page would make a great braggadocious heel that would help elevate the Intercontinental Championship to new heights!
