We’re kicking off the festivities with a bang, BAYBAY! But will Cole show Freshly Squeezed it’s all about the boom?
The bell rings, fans rally and duel, and Cole talks trash as he steps to Cassidy. Cole dares Cassidy to cross the line in the sand, and Cassidy… walks around it! And then Cassidy dares Cole to do the same! Cole and Cassidy get face to face, Cole winds it up, “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” Cassidy makes Cole put his hands in Cassidy’s pockets! Coles shoves Cassidy, Cassidy dodges to get a headlock and takeover. Cole fights but Cassidy gives him a kiss on the cheek. Cole throws Cassidy away, kicks low and returns the headlock takeover. Cole says, “Don’t you EVER do that again!” Cassidy rolls Cole to a cover, TWO! Cassidy hits an arm-drag! Then he avoids Cole’s arm-drag! Oklahoma Roll, TWO!
Cassidy gets the headlock takeover back and fans cheer the exchange. Cole fights up, brings Cassidy to a knee and slips out the back to hammerlock then headlock. Cassidy returns the favor, steps over the arm, then gets the headlock. Cole throws elbows, then ROCKS Cassidy with a forearm! Cole headlocks, Cassidy powers out to get the headlock. Cole powers out, Cassidy avoids the headlock to get the headlock and takeover! Fans cheer but Cole fights with forearms to Cassidy’s face. Cole gets a headscissor, Cassidy bounces around to pop free, and then he stands up. Cassidy checks his neck, and fans cheer as the two reset.
Cassidy and Cole circle. they tie up but Cole kicks low! Cole wrenches to a wristlock, Cassidy reaches for rope but Cole keeps him away. Cole keeps Cassidy from the ropes again, so Cassidy rolls, handsprings and wrenches back! Fans cheer as Cassidy has the wristlock, then the headlock then the arm-drag! Then he rolls Cole around to a ghost pin, TWO! Cole kicks low, snapmares, and wraps on a chinlock. Cassidy endures, fans rally up, and Cassidy fights up. Cassidy pries free, gets a headlock, but Cole powers out. Cassidy goes up and over in the corner to schoolboy, TWO! Cole swings into a backslide! TWO, but Cassidy whips Cole.
Cole reverses, Cassidy goes up and over again but into a BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! Cole throws hands on Cassidy, wrenches and whips him corner to corner hard, and Cassidy bounces off buckles! Cole flexes but fans boo as he wrenches and whips Cassidy again. Cassidy hits buckles, Cole runs in, but Cassidy elbows him back. Cassidy boots Cole, then hops up, only for Cole to ROCK him with a right hand! Cole climbs up to join Cassidy, but Cassidy resists the superplex. Cole CLUBS Cassidy again and again, tries again, but Cassidy shoves Cole down! Cassidy leaps, CROSSBODY! Cassidy keeps moving, he ducks and dodges to tilt-o-whirl and DDT! Cover, TWO!
Fans rally as Cassidy goes to a corner. Cassidy climbs up, but the Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler creep out onto the stage. They head for ringside, but Cassidy LEAPS onto Cutler! No cold spray for you! But here come Best Friends! Trent, Chuck & Wheeler make sure the Bucks and Cutler stay down! Cassidy dodges Cole to DIVE onto the Bucks! The brawling continues up the ramp, but Cole RAMS Cassidy into steel steps! And then AGAIN! Cole is seething, but he brings the kneepad down. Cole lines it up, runs in, but Cassidy moves! The Boom hits steps! Cole clutches his knee and writhes as AEW goes picture in picture!
Cassidy gets up while the ref checks on Cole. Cole is okay to continue, Cassidy brings him up and RAMS him into railing! Cassidy “stalks” Cole, brings him up, lazy fist bumps the kid dressed as Cassidy, and then whips Cole into more railing! Cole flounders, Cassidy refreshes the ring count and even lounges a second before going back outside. Cassidy brings Cole up but Cole whips Cassidy into railing now! Cole walks off the pain in his knee to get in the ring and refresh the count. Cole drags Cassidy up to RAM him back into railing! Cole drags Cassidy up to put him in the ring, and then Cole JAMS his knee into Cassidy’s back. Cole gets the arms for a motorcycle stretch!
Cassidy endures, fights up, powers up, but Cole keeps him from putting hands in his pockets. Cassidy keeps trying, Cole keeps trying to stop him, so Cole throws a body shot! Cole whips, Cassidy ducks and dodges, DOUBLE LARIATS take both men down! Both men stir, a standing count begins, and AEW returns to single picture as fans count along. Both men sit up at 5 and Cole throws a forearm! Cassidy “chops” back! Cole ROCKS Cassidy with a forearm, dares Cassidy to hit him, so Cassidy “chops” again. Cole throws another forearm, Cassidy throws a “haymaker.” Cole throws another forearm, Cassidy “fires off” the shin kicks!
Cassidy powers up for Sweet Shin Music, but he dodges Cole’s clothesline to SUPERKICK! Cole uses 52 Fake Out! But Cassidy rolls Cole up, Cole rolls through, Cassidy SUPERKICKS! Cassidy gets Cole but Cole suplexes for GHOSTBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Cole is frustrated, he drags Cassidy up, fireman’s carries, but Cassidy fights free! Fans are fired up for Freshly Squeezed but Cole shoves and BOOTS! Then suplexes, STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! Cassidy runs in at the corner, but Cole moves! Cassidy goes out and up and FLYING DDT! Cover, TWO!! Cole survives and a new standing count begins!
Cassidy is up at 3 and he drags Cole up, but Cole fireman’s carries! USHIGOROSHI! Then a basement BOOT knocks Cassidy down! Cole wants Cassidy to stay down, but then Cole drags Cassidy to a drop zone. Cole hops up, takes aim, but Cassidy scoots back to stay away. Cole rushes over, but into a cradle! TWO!! Cassidy scoops, MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Cole survives again! Cassidy goes to a corner and he puts on the sunglasses! Fans fire up, Cassidy climbs again, hands in pockets, and jumps, into a SUPERKICK! Cole goes up the corner, takes aim, PANAMA SUNRISE!! Cover, TWO!!? HOW?! Cole is shocked, and Greensboro is thunderous!
Cole brings his kneepad back down, sits Cassidy up, but Cassidy ducks the Boom! Alabama lift, BEACH BREAK!! TWO!?!? Cole returns the favor of the shocking survival! Cassidy throws off his armband and fans fire up! Cassidy aims, runs but Cole bails out to avoid the Orange Punch! Bobby Fish rushes down now and gets in the ref’s face about this. But wait, from out of the crowd! It’s KYLE O’REILLY!! AX ‘N’ SMASH!! Bobby bails, Kyle hides, Cole hits THE BOOM!! Cover, Cole wins!

The Violent Artist has joined Cole and Fish in AEW, but are they friends or foes? The Best Friends rush back, Cole & Kyle fight them off! Fish helps out, and they’re mugging Trent & Chuck! Bobby & Kyle set up Chuck, Cole SUPERKICKS Chuck down! And then reDRagon gets Trent up for HIGH LOW!! The Bucks return, they’re wondering what’s going on here. Is this the Christmas gift Cole meant? Apparently, but is Cole Elite or Undisputed? Can’t he be both?

After their ONE HOUR time limit draw at Winter is Coming, we’re getting Hangman Page VS Bryan Danielson II for Dynamite on January 5th! Will TBS see that Dynamite is “The Best Show?”
Tony Schiavone is in the ring!
Nothing like being in the Greensboro Coliseum! But let’s welcome from Virginia, the AEW World Champion, Hangman Page! The Cowboy is here and fans are fired up! Schiavone welcomes the champion, and says in two weeks, the rematch is part of the TBS debut. Schiavone wants to say that last week’s match was one of the greats in AEW history, and Hangman was so close to winning before time ran out. Hangman is handed the mic and he says he’ll stop that all here. After 60 minutes, covered in sweat and blood, his one arm barely hanging on and barely any air in his body, Hangman was handed back the title.
As AEW went to commercial, Hangman managed to get up the ramp, and he looked back at the title. He saw his reflection in it, and thought that it was a bit funny. In his three years in AEW, last week, he’d never felt less of a champion. “So the feeling from last week, the only feeling that I have, is disappointment.” But here comes Bryan Danielson to say, “Wait, wait, wait! Wait. Wait. Wait.” Fans chant, “YES! YES! YES!” but Bryan still wants us to wait. “Entitled Millennial Cowboy still has the AEW Championship around his shoulder, and he’s disappointed. Aww…! Poor cowboy! Let’s show all the people your emotions about how disappointed you are.”
You know who should be disappointed? The AEW fans! Bryan says he kicked Hangman’s ass for sixty minutes, and if anyone should be champion, it should be him! Fans are torn on that one. But Bryan isn’t someone who’s gonna come out and cry about things, or say how sad he is. No. The rematch is January 5th, and Bryan will just kick Hangman’s ass again. But here’s what Bryan doesn’t want to happen. Hangman survived sixty minutes because Bryan’s match with John Silver, he hurt his leg a little, or else he would’ve destroyed Hangman. But Bryan won’t wrestle in front of these idiots here tonight, or next week, or until January 5th!
But here’s another problem: if Hangman Page goes out there on the 5th, and stalls for sixty minutes to escape with the title, we just end up in the same situation, where the rightful champion standing right here empty handed, “and that piece of Cowboy Shit standing in the ring with the title.” But Bryan isn’t here to complain, he is not entitled. He came here with a solution! Here’s what Bryan proposes: January 5th, there are judges, so that if Hangman tries to stall, everyone will see and know that the true AEW World Heavyweight Champion is Bryan Danielson! Fans are chanting no? They don’t want that? Surely these idiots know he won that match!
Hangman says that Bryan’s real creative. Did it take him all week to come up with judges? Because Hangman came up with an Ironman match, Ladder match, Cage match, hell even an Inferno match, and just a match with no time limits. Because Bryan did something that no one’s done: took Hangman past 30, 40 and 50 minutes, out into those deep waters. Bryan tried to hold Hangman under, but the final seconds, the ones that counted, Hangman swam. If Hangman had three more seconds, he would’ve drowned Bryan. But y’know what? If they keep the time limit and they add judges, fine! Give some old guys a payday.
But Bryan better make sure he pays them in advance, cuz they won’t earn it. Hangman’s come way too far for this title. Hangman’s spilled far too much blood for this title! He has given way too much of himself for this title to have some old pricks sit at ringside to tell Hangman he’s not good enough, he’s not a champion, he’s only a B+ player. Because that’s just horseshit. So if the question is, “Can Hangman Adam Page beat Bryan Danielson in less than one hour?” In two weeks, the answer is… “YES!” Bryan says, “How dare you!” Hangman dares Bryan to do more, but enough’s been said! Who will be the title match judges? And will they be needed if we get another time limit draw?
MJF speaks with The Pinnacle.
He didn’t want the cameras here for this, but whatever. MJF thanks Shawn Spears being a great accountabilibuddy, and Wardlow did great with the post-match acquisition of champagne. That should’ve been done way before the match was over, and way before MJF & FTR got attacked by “those three Mid shmucks,” CM Punk, Sting & Darby Allin. Just outta curiosity, MJF’s paying Wardlow a lot of money to protect him, correct? He sure does. Well then they can only blame Punk. This is what Punk does to people. He drives them insane, and has burned every single bridge in his career.
That’s why MJF isn’t worried tonight. #MJFTR isn’t a team, it’s a family! And Punk knows nothing about that cuz he’s a loner. “Much like that emo skateboarding punk and his creepy clown uncle,” those three aren’t going to be able to coexist. Fans might’ve been fooled but not MJF. MJF knows Punk made the save for himself. Everything has to be about Punk, and when it’s not, that’s when the REAL Punk comes out to play. Is that more low hanging fruit? Punk just says that to hide the truth. But here’s the truth: inside the ring, Punk is rustier than the knife Darby uses to skin small animals. The fact is, that fake nice guy mask is slipping off faster than Sting’s Crusty the Clown make-up. And the fact is, when MJF gave Punk the opportunity to shake his hand and walked away, he chose early retirement!
Dax Harwood speaks up, saying FTR had no problems with Punk. But when someone threatens Dax’s position, his livelihood, his family, then there is a problem. The Pinnacle is Dax’s family. You’re looking at the three kings of pro-wrestling! If you wanna be a king, you gotta kill one, and those three don’t have the balls to do it. The Pinnacle is a family, a unified group, the absolute best unit in this world! Cuz when you’re Pinnacle, you’re always on top. But will MJFTR be knocked down from their perch by those they call misfits?
Wardlow w/ Shawn Spears VS Shawn Dean!
Obviously, the accountabilibuddy is with Pinnacle’s War Dog again. Will Spears keep Wardlow from going overboard against the Captain?
The bell rings and fans chant, “Wardlow’s gonna kill~ you!” Wardlow and Dean tie up, and Wardlow throws Dean down! Wardlow reels Dean in and fans know what’s coming! POWERBOMB! That’s one, and Spears wants Wardlow to leave it at that. But fans want “ONE MORE TIME!” so Wardlow obliges! ANOTHER POWERBOMB! Spears says that’s good, but Wardlow gets Dean up for a THIRD POWERBOMB! The Symphony is only getting going! A FOURTH POWERBOMB! Cocky cover, Wardlow wins!

And then Spears adds on with chair shots! Wardlow rolls his eyes but Spears raises Wardlow’s hand in victory. Spears says it’s time to go, and Wardlow seems very annoyed. When will the Pinnacle’s most powerful member get the respect he deserves?
AEW looks at the Christmas TNT Championship match.
Excalibur says Christmas is a great night for pro-wrestling. Sammy Guevara remembers back to the very first Dynamite, and his match with Cody Rhodes. That was Sammy’s biggest match then, but now tides have turned. Schiavone reminds us that Cody was the inaugural TNT Champion, and he put in the work defending that title. He cut such a frantic pace, but so has Sammy. A win over that former champion could cement Sammy’s reign. But if Cody can become a two-time TNT Champion, and on Christmas night, a night Dusty Rhodes once reigned supreme, it’d be a very special moment. Sammy says, “You think this is gonna be your present? Hell no!” All Cody’s getting is coal and an ass kicking. Will the Spanish God reign on the American Nightmare’s holidays?
Dan Lambert & The Men of the Year are in the nosebleeds.
Lambert quotes Shakespeare, “Heavy is the head that wears the crown.” Kings and queens of yesteryear knew that their position to make decisions over the lives of other people was not just a great privilege, but also a responsibility for justice. Lambert doesn’t expect people here to understand that. Their greatest difficulties are whether or not to download the latest updates on their cellphones, or to turn off the light in the mother’s basement and get outta the house. But to leaders like himself, Lambert knows those words ring true today. He leads the most successful MMA gym on the planet! He knows that every decision he makes must be fair to create a level playing field so the most successful are also the most deserving.
But Tony CONMAN is the flipside to that! Khan uses the buddy system! If you’re his buddy, you’re an EVP and you get every chance to shine. If not, it’s opening match status or backstage vignettes for the rest of your career. Scorpio Sky was one of the first AEW World Tag Team Champions. He’s the only man to pin Chris Jericho twice. Ethan Page has dressed better, wrestled better and won better than anybody since he got here. Yet these two studs are stuck on the sidelines Christmas night watching Cody get yet another title shot, against Sammy Guevara. If that doesn’t prove Lambert’s point, here’s the most blatant example of all of how Khan sets someone he doesn’t like up for failure.
Just look how they’re treating Lambert! “Put yourself in an impossible situation. An utterly hopeless condition. Given an assignment you can never successfully complete! He actually wants me to get you to cheer for Cody Rhodes!” The Men of the Year laugh as Lambert says Cody’s a bigger dick than Lambert! “Newsflash: I don’t give a damn who you cheer for or who you boo. I don’t care if it’s Cody or Sammy standing tall at the end of that match on Christmas night. My only concern is that one of these guys gets the next title match. And when they do, we won’t need any help from the owner of the company to bring that title back to American Top Team!”
Lambert leaves it at that as the Closer and All Ego both claim next. Will either of them be ready for whoever comes out of Holiday Bash Part 2 the TNT Champion?
Schiavone interviews Britt Baker backstage.
Britt says Merry Christmas and wishes us a Happy AEW Holiday Bash. Ew, was that a bug on her chair? They’re never coming back to Greensboro. Schiavone wanted to talk about Battle of the Belts and Britt’s title match with Riho. Britt’s never beaten Riho 1v1. Yeah, well, she’s bigger, stronger and most importantly, the AEW Women’s World Champion, and she also has Jamie Hayter by her side. Uh, Rebel’s here, too. Well, even Hayter lost to Riho recently. Hayter slashes her throat at Schiavone for that comment. Britt says if they’re going to bring up the past, then let’s talk about all of 2021. You can’t bring up this year without calling it the Era of the DMD.
And here’s why: Britt didn’t slide in and take someone’s spot, and she didn’t inherit a throne. In fact, Britt built her own throne and her own kingdom! She’s built the division from the ground up, and she’s a pillar of this entire company! She is the pulse of AEW! And if you think 2022 is going to start with Riho, that little brat who just gets a title match whenever she wants, dethroning Britt, you have another thing coming. Riho should’ve just stayed under the bottom rope at All Out. Britt knows Riho wants a title for Christmas, but Riho’s outta her league. “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid.” Merry Christmas from Yours Truly, Britt Baker, DMD.
AEW looks back on Owen Hart.
To Mark Henry, Owen Hart represented family. Owen taught Mark a lot about how to get into the business. If someone ribs you, rib ’em back. Adam Cole says Owen was very influential. He made Cole appreciate the technical side of pro-wrestling. Cole loved watching Owen and Bret, and then Owen in NJPW. Owen was one of the best. Matt Hardy says Owen’s mark on the industry is showing the smaller, athletic and acrobatic wrestlers are absolutely important to pro-wrestling. 2point0 saw Owen Hart as the coolest guy, it was mind-blowing.
Hardy adds Owen was a groundbreaker, an innovator, and he really opened up the style of pro-wrestling, especially for “smaller” guys, the ones who weren’t 6’8″ and 380 pounds. Eddie Kingston, the way he grew up, a real man takes care of his family. That was Owen Hart. Dusty Rhodes says Owen was an incredible family man, an incredible wrestler and story teller, as well as ribber. One of the all time greats. Mark says Owen will go down as someone who brought fun and life to pro-wrestling. Shawn Spears says everyone should strive to be that kind of person. If you’re as gifted as Owen, and to have a beautiful soul, how much more can you ask for?
Cole says the reason Owen’s legacy will go on is because of how you constantly hear about the kind of man he was. Those who shared a locker room with him tell stories of how wonderful he was, and so it isn’t just about what he did in the ring, but who he was as a person.
TBS Championship Tournament Semifinal: Nyla Rose w/ Vickie Guerrero VS Ruby Soho!
The Native Beast got a first round bye and crushed Hikaru Shida. But the Runaway fought her way from round one against Penelope Ford to then defeat the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien, Kris Statlander. Will Ruby keep that run going? Or will she be eaten alive by this Vicious Vixen?
But while Ruby’s on the ropes waving to the fans, Nyla attacks! The bell rings as Nyla stomps away then throws body shots! Nyla pulls Ruby’s jacket off, stomps her down, then rains down fists! Fans boo, Nyla drags Ruby up and CLUBS her down! Nyla says Ruby’s’ jacket is stupid cuz it can’t even come off properly. Ruby finally gets free of her jacket, and she fires off CHOPS and forearms on Nyla! Ruby stomps a foot, sobats then front kicks, but runs into a SWAT! Nyla stomps Ruby more, then claws Ruby’s face! The ref reprimands and counts, Nyla lets off to bump Ruby off buckles. Nyla TOSSES Ruby corner to corner, then drags Ruby up to whip to ropes.
Ruby tilt-o-whirls through, and has the cording hold! Ruby fires off forearms and elbows, then ducks the clothesline. But Nyla blocks the STO with pure power, to URENAGE Ruby right down! Nyla drags Ruby back up, reels her in, but Ruby fights free to wrench, only for Nyla to CLOBBER her! Nyla drags Ruby back up, throws her out of the ring, and goes out after her. Nyla leaps from the apron to AX HANDLE Ruby down! Nyla fish hooks Ruby’s face to make her look at the camera and puppet her mouth. Ruby fights free to CHOP and CHOP back! Nyla kicks low, but Ruby blocks the apron bump to ROCK Nyla with forearms and uppercuts!
Ruby headbutts Nyla again and again and again as fans fire up! Vickie is furious as Ruby runs in, but Vickie gets Nyla out of the way! Ruby hits steps and Vickie laughs at Ruby’s pain. Nyla gets in the ring while AEW goes picture in picture.
Nyla goes back out to scoop and SLAM Ruby on the floor! Nyla then gets back in the ring to soak up the heat. Ruby writhes, a ring count starts, and it’s already 5 of 10 while Ruby is still down. Ruby drags herself up at and in at 7! Nyla scoops Ruby to SLAM her again! And then Nyla drops a leg! Cocky one hand cover, TWO! Nyla is frustrated, so she takes Ruby’s hand and BITES it! The ref reprimands, Nyla stops, then drags Ruby up. Ruby throws body shots and forearms, then she whips. Nyla blocks with power, whips Ruby to a corner, but Ruby elbows her back! Ruby goes up to headscissors, but Nyla pops her up to an Electric Chair!
Ruby fights back, but Nyla blocks the Poison-Rana to INVERTED ALABAMA SLAM Ruby into buckles! The ref checks on Ruby but somehow she’s okay to continue. Nyla drags her to a cover, TWO!! Ruby lives and Nyla is annoyed. Nyla stands on Ruby’s hand while raining down rights! Cover, TWO! Vickie shouts at the ref but Nyla drags Ruby up to scoop and SLAM again. Nyla runs and SPLASHES onto knees! AEW returns to single picture as Ruby LARIATS! Nyla stays up, so Ruby LARIATS again! Ruby dodges Nyla, blocks a kick to KNEE and SUPERKICK and ENZIGURI! Fans fire up with Ruby as she runs at the ropes, but Nyla blocks the monkey flip!
Nyla bounces Ruby off ropes, but Ruby uses that to TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO!! Ruby is beside herself as Nyla bails out. Ruby goes to the apron, but Nyla looks under the ring? Nyla gets a chair! But Ruby DROPKICKS it into Nyla’s face! Vickie is upset while Nyla is down on the outside! Fans rally up, Ruby drags Nyla up and into the ring. Ruby climbs a corner, the ref checks on Nyla, and Vickie gets up on the apron to shove Ruby down! Ruby hotshots off ropes, and Nyla hurries to get Ruby draped over them! Nyla goes up, FLYING KNEE! Cover, TWO?!? Vickie is fuming and Nyla is shocked! Ruby clutches her arm, the ref has Nyla stay back.
The ref checks on Ruby but Ruby refuses to quit. So Nyla drags Ruby up to wrench and hammerlock the arm, to RAM it into the buckles! Nyla runs in, but Ruby BOOTS her! Ruby fires forearms with the good arm, and even CHOPS! Nyla CHOPS, then scoops Ruby, but Ruby turns that to a dragon sleeper! Nyla calls to Vickie, the ref is busy with Vickie again! Ruby lets Nyla go and then KICKS Vickie down! Nyla gets Ruby up for a BEAST BOMB!! Cover, TWO?!?!? HOW?!?! Nyla is foaming at the mouth! Nyla drags Ruby but Greensboro is thunderous! Nyla drags Ruby up the corner, but Ruby turns that into a SUPER NO FUTURE!!! Cover, Ruby wins!!!

You cheated your way to another tainted victory!” Shida has never decisively beaten Deeb, and this is far from over! This will go on and on until Deeb finishes her! Next time, Shida will be begging Khan to keep Deeb away from her for good! A bit revisionist from the Woman of 1000 Holds, but is nothing going to hold her back from breaking the Full Metal Warrior?
Malakai Black VS Griff Garrison w/ Brian Pillman Jr!
Talk about a nightmare before Christmas! The Dark Father stained Julia Hart with the dark mist, and the Ivy League MVP is furious over it! Will Griff avenge the Varsity Blond’s two-time cheerleading champion? Or will he be the next soul to Fade to Black?
The bell rings and Griff goes right at Malakai, but gets a ROUNDHOUSE for it! Griff goes down and sits up in a daze. Malakai crouches to talk to Griff, then runs, to go out and target BPJ! BPJ throws off his jacket, he’s ready! But then Griff DIVES and takes Malakai down at the ramp! Griff gets Malakai in, throws forearms, and Greensboro is behind their hometown hero! Griff fires off, but spins into Malakai’s KICK! And another! And another! Malakai then hits body scissor takedown to have the HEEL HOOK! Griff endures, scrambles over and gets the ROPEBREAK! Malakai holds on until 4, then takes his time. Fans rally for Griff and Griff ROCKS Malakai back!
Malakai fires off strikes and then KICKS away in the corner! Malakai throws a forearm then KICKS the leg! Malakai wants the leg but Griff hits back, so Malakai KICKS again. Malakai whips but Griff reverses to send Malakai into ropes! Malakai sputters, fans rally up, and Malakai storms over, into a BOOT! Griff hits a ROLLING ELBOW! Cover, TWO!! Malakai survives that Ivy League level elbow, but Griff gets him up for a back suplex. But Malakai fights that and Griff’s leg gives out! Malakai KICKS that leg, then JUMP KNEES Griff right down! Griff sits up, flounders, but Malakai kicks his arm away.
Malakai lifts Griff with his foot, but then kisses him goodnight before going after that leg! DEEP HALF CRAB!! Griff taps, Malakai wins!
Winner: Malakai Black, by submission
Malakai won’t stop, either! BPJ gets in and shoves Malakai away. BPJ checks on Griff, but turns around into the BLACK MASS!! BPJ goes down, Black has destroyed the Blonds! What more will Malakai do to tear down the shining lights in AEW?
Matt Hardy & Private Party speak.
“Jurassic Express, what an adorable moment you shared with the Lucha Bros.” Marq Quen mockingly says it almost made him cry. But congratulations, Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus are still #1 contenders to the tag team titles. But Hardy wants to see Private Party to take that from them! So for Christmas Rampage, Isiah Kassidy will pound Jungle Boy’s ass, and even injure him! Kassidy pretends to get a phone call, and he says that all he has to do is take JB out, and Private Party are the new #1 contenders. Nice! If JB is injured, that status is DELETED!
Jurassic Express & Christian Cage respond.
Kassidy thinks he’s going to pound JB’s ass? Don’t think so. What is going to happen is that Jurassic Express will wake up on Christmas morning, open their presents, hit the boards real quick, then head to the arena. JB will bring a big lump of coal to shove up Kassidy’s ass! And after Rampage, Kassidy will be spittin’ out diamonds. Christian adds that “those two little dipshits, Private Party can wear as many watches as they want. It will never be their time so long as Jurassic Express is here!” The Hardy Family Office won’t walk away with Jurassic Express’ #1 contender spot, but it is Christmas. They should get something nice, so how about going to AEW Shop and buying some of these limited edition Jurassic Express Christmas shirts? Merry Christmas!
Six Man Tag: MJF & FTR VS CM Punk, Darby Allin & Sting!
Max, Dax & Cash claim they’re family, living legends, and the top guys of AEW. But will they be able to win without using that Dynamite Diamond Ring, those AAA Tag Team Championships or Tully Blanchard? Or is MJFTR just SOL against the Best in the World, the Relentless One & The Icon?
The trios sort out, MJF starts against Punk. Punk’s sporting the Bladerunner surfer Sting face paint from the 90s and fans are fired up as Punk and MJF circle. MJF then tags out to Dax and fans boo. MJF soaks up the heat like he did something great, and Dax circles with Punk. Dax gets to a corner as fans chant for Punk. Dax and Punk tie up, Punk puts Dax back in the corner, but Dax powers his way out to get a headlock and takeover. Punk headscissors, Dax kips free and hits another headlock takeover, only for Punk to headscissor again. Dax kips free again, hits a third headlock takeover, but Punk again headscissors, and again Dax kips free.
Dax shoves Punk, but Punk smirks and shoves back. Dax SLAPS Punk, so Punk SLAPS Dax! MJF & Cash hurry to Dax’s side but Sting & Darby are ready behind Punk. The ref has the teams back off, Punk and Dax tie up again. Dax headlocks, Punk powers out but Dax runs him over. Things keep moving, Punk hip tosses Dax down! And then arm-drags! Punk wrenches the arm, has the wristlock, but Dax ROCKS him with a forearm! Tag to Cash, but Cash runs into a scoop and SLAM! Punk wrenches Cash’s arm, tags in Darby, and Darby grinds the headlock. Cash powers out, drops down, then CLOBBERS Darby with an elbow! MJF dares fans to chant for Darby now!
Cash drags Darby up to ROCK him with a EuroUpper! Cash brings Darby in to scoop but Darby slips out and drop steps to dropkick! Then a deep arm-drag, a wrench and a wristlock! Cash gets away before Darby can tag out. Fans chant, “We Want Sting!” but MJF tags in. MJF dares Darby to tag someone, and Punk gets in! MJF bails out and runs away! They go around the ring, MJF tags to Cash, but Punk is ready! Cash stays back, fans boo, Punk and Cash knuckle lock. Cash kicks the arm, wrenches it and has the wristlock. Punk fights up, pushes through to wrench and wristlock back! Punk points to him, and tags in STIIIING!
Fans go nuts as Sting wrenches the arm and YANKS it! And YANKS it, and YANKS it! Cash kicks back, whips, but Sting reverses to send Cash at the corner. Cash bumps off buckles, Sting sweeps the legs! Sting grabs those legs but Cash bails out to regroup with Dax. MJF joins FTR to talk it out, but Sting storms over. Cash hotshots Sting down! Tag to MJF, MJF CHOPS, but Sting doesn’t even flinch! MJF grins and dusts Sting off, trying to make nice. MJF gives a thumbs up, Sting grabs that arm! MJF reaches out, Sting brings MJF over, but MJF fights his way back! They tug-o-war, Sting short arm LARIATS MJF down! Tag to Punk, MJF scrambles away! The chase is on again!
MJF goes to the crowd! Punk pursues but MJF is hauling ass up the stairs! They go to the back, run around in the concourse, and then return, going down other steps. They’re heading back for ringside, and MJF baseball slides into the ring! Tag to Cash, MJFTR scramble and Punk has FTR in the way. So Darby DIVES and bowls them all over!! Fans are fired up as AEW goes picture in picture!
Darby drags Cash up and puts him in the ring. Punk kicks Cash around, brings him over and bumps him off buckles. Punk fires forearms again and again, then tags Darby. They mug Cash, Darby fires off, then tags Sting. Sting gets to mug Cash now, and he brings Cash around for a BELL CLAP! And CLAWS to the back! Cash goes to the apron, Sting drags him up to suplex back in! Tag to Punk, he stays between Cash and the corner to stomp him down. Punk hits a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Cover, TWO! Dax gets in to talk trash but Punk keeps Cash down with a cording hold. Punk slaps Cash around, puts him in a corner and climbs up to rain down fists! Punk gets all ten!
Punk hops off to then DECK Cash with a right hand! Cover, TWO! Punk keeps Cash down with a facelock and brings him over. Tag to Darby, they mug Cash more, and Darby fires off knees! The ref reprimands the hair pulling but Darby CHOPS Cash in the corner. Darby cravats and has a standing neck wrench but Cash endures. AEW returns to single picture, Cash reaches out, Dax tags in. Darby throws Cash away to fire off on MJF and Dax! JAWBREAKER for Dax, but Cash FLAPJACK HOTSHOTS Darby! Darby tumbles to apron then to floor, Dax gets Darby up to whip him into railing! MJF stomps away on Darby and then Dax drags Darby up.
Dax suplexes Darby high and hard to the floor, and MJF gloats, “That’s what it’s all about!” MJF puts Darby in for Cash, he tags Dax. Dax drags Darby around to drop the leg, drop the elbow, then drop a headbutt! Dax drags Darby up, tags Cash, and FTR mug Darby with double headbutts! Tag to MJF, he spits water at Punk! The ref is busy with Punk storming in and MJF CHOKES Darby in the corner! Dax adds on, then MJF snapmares Darby to a chinlock. Darby endures, fans rally up and Darby fights up! MJF rakes Darby’s eyes! MJF scoops and SLAMS Darby, then tags Dax. Dax drags Darby up, CHOPS him to ropes, then scoops him to SLAM him again!
Tag to Cash, he steps on Darby’s face! Cash drags Darby up to scoop and SLAM! Tag to MJF, MJF drags Darby up while taunting Punk. MJF scoops to SLAM Darby, steps on his face, and tags Dax. Dax taunts Darby to go tag his partners, and MJF soaks up the heat. Dax scoops and SLAMS Darby again! Tag back to Cash, he stays between Darby and his corner, then taunts Darby to get up. Punk rallies the fans, Cash scoops Darby but Darby makes it a cradle! TWO!! Cash runs in but misses and hits buckles! Darby scoops and SLAMS Cash! Both men are down and fans are thunderous! Hot tag to Sting! Sting rallies on FTR while MJF stays away!
Sting whips Dax corner to corner to bump him off buckles again and again, all three levels! Cash runs in but Sting dodges to then BACK DROP him! MJF runs in, to get a SPINEBUSTER! Sting back bumps Dax, to then STINGER SPLASH Cash! And then one for Dax! Cash runs in but is sent into Dax! Sting holds them back, for Darby to COFFIN SPLASH them both! Punk runs in to SHINING WIZARD them both! Sting then runs in to STINGER SPLASH Dax! Dax flops down, Sting gets the legs! SCORPION DEATHLOCK! But Cash distracts the ref and MJF has Sting for a BULLDOG! Fans boo but Dax covers, TWO! MJF grins while AEW goes picture in picture again.
Dax puts Sting in a corner, throws EuroUppers, but Sting hits back with haymakers! They go back and forth, Sting gets the edge but Dax drop toeholds to then tag in Cash! Cash stomps Sting down, tags MJF, and Cash holds Sting up so MJF can wind up, and rake the eyes! MJF soaks up the heat, then he stomps Sting’s leg! MJF taunts Punk, the ref has to keep him back again, and then MJF CHOKES Sting! MJF covers, TWO! MJF drags Sting over, wrenches, and tags in Dax. They mug Sting, Dax wrenches and wrangles Sting to the mat. Dax thrashes the arm, but Sting endures and fights up. Dax knuckle locks, but Sting fights up, and AEW goes to break.
AEW returns again and Cash has Sting in a cobra twist. Sting endures, fans rally up, and Sting throws Cash off! Cash runs in, DOUBLE LARIATS take both men down! Fans rally, the two men crawl, hot tag to Dax! Dax fires off on Sting in a corner, then whips him corner to corner. Dax mocks Sting and runs in, but into a scoop and SLAM! Sting flounders but Cash helps Dax get back to the corner. MJF tags in to keep Sting from the corner, but Sting hits a BULLDOG in return! Cash grabs at Sting, but Sting falls, head first into MJF’s nuts! MJF writhes in pain, but he manages to tag in Cash. But Sting tags in Punk! Punk jumps in, rallies on FTR, CALF KICK for Cash!
Punk dodges Dax to CALF KICK him! SHINING WIZARD for Cash, SHINING WIZARD for Dax in the other! BULLDOG CLOTHESLINE COMBO! Punk keeps going and he DIVES out onto Dax! Punk then goes to the corner, climbs up top, and CROSSBODIES Cash! Cover, TWO! Fans fire up with Punk as he says it’s time for bed! Punk gets Cash up, but Cash holds ropes! Dax saves Cash and tags, but Punk still fights FTR off with forearms! ROUNDHOUSE for Cash, then a spin and NECKBREAKER for Dax! Cover, TWO! Punk goes back to the corner, but Cash anchors his foot! Punk kicks Cash away, adjusts, but Dax trips him up!
Dax CHOPS Punk, climbs up top to join him, but Punk fights back with body shots! MONGOLIAN CHOPS! Dax fires forearms, Punk gives them back! They brawl up top, Dax wobbles and Punk DECKs him! But Dax gets right back up, Cash tags in! SUPERPLEX and FLYING SPLASH! The Power Play works out, Dax DECKS Sting and Darby! Cash covers, TWO!! Punk survives and FTR is frustrated! Cash DECKS Sting off the apron again, tag to Dax. FTR drags Punk up to double whip, but Punk ducks, and Darby runs in to CROSSBODY Cash and himself out of the ring! Punk O’Conner Rolls Dax, TWO! MJF and Darby CRASH into the timekeeper’s table on the outside!
Dax ROCKS Punk with a right! Punk ROUNDHOUSES Dax down! Fans fire up as both men are on the mat and a standing count begins! Darby crawls from the wreckage, MJF is right behind him. Punk and Dax throw forearm after forearm, then even haymakers! Dax has a busted eyebrow but he’s just firing off more! Punk fires forearms, but spins into a HAYMAKER! Dax runs, into a fireman’s carry! But Dax blocks the GTS, Cash gets in, BIG RIG!! Sting gets in to break the cover! Sting DECKS Cash, but MJF slithers in! MJF kicks Sting, reels him in and smirks, to DDT! But Sting’s right back up while MJF gloats! MJF runs away but Sting YANKS the ropes to jam MJF’s junk!!
Sting brings MJF back in to CHOP and whip to HIP TOSS MJF out onto FTR!! The ref hurries to check on MJF, who hit hard at the railing. But Sting climbs up to aim at FTR! SUPER CROSSBODY onto the Pinnacle!!! Greensboro is losing their minds for the Icon throwing caution to the wind! Sting gets MJF up and in for Punk. MJF flounders, Punk says it’s time for bed! But Dax gets MJF out, and Punk fireman’s carries! G T S, to SCORPION DEATH LOCK! Darby is up top, COFFIN DROP!! Punk covers, Punk’s team wins!!

That was definitely clobbering time! The Best in the World, the Relentless One & The Icon stand tall, but MJF complains on commentary that Punk was the one avoiding him the entire match! MJF says CM Punk is a literal punk and a coward! If that’s so, then when and where will MJF finally back up his words and take on CM Punk?
My Thoughts:
Another great Dynamite, but not much of a holiday related one. Britt’s Christmas party with Schiavone was just that interview, and she was in a comfy armchair with a glass of wine, barely anything else to make it a party. Though I suppose it works in kayfabe as no one else likes Britt. But she had a good promo to hype up her title match with Riho for Battle of the Belts, that is going to be a really good one, but I would think Britt retains. She did have a good point that Riho isn’t always around from how Riho goes back and forth between Japan and the US. We got a great TBS Championship Tournament match out of Nyla VS Ruby, and they did a great job making Ruby’s win a hard earned one.
Speaking of Battle of the Belts, but what is the world title supposed to do if they’re giving us Hangman VS Bryan II on the Dynamite before? Bryan and Hangman had a good promo segment to hype up the rematch, and I do like that Hangman brought up a lot of great alternates for their rematch’s stipulation. Honestly, I forgot until Bryan brought up judges that there were judges at Jericho VS Cody, where Cody lost all rights to challenge for the top title. Will something screwy happen in the rematch to where they’ll give us the third just days later at Battle of the Belts? Or will there be a decisive winner and then they immediately bring up the next contender?
We got an awesome vignette for people to share their feelings about Owen Hart and also plug the Owen Hart Foundation tournaments. I never got a chance to watch him myself, but it’s just as they said: you hear about Owen from those who did know him and can attest to how great he was as both wrestler and person. We got a really good vignette to hype up Sammy VS Cody for Christmas, but I do have to admit Lambert had a good promo to point out the kayfabe of Cody getting stuff just because. Cody really could pile on the heat from the fans by winning on Christmas, and then take on Scorpio and Ethan in consecutive matches and see how fans react to that. It’d be really something if it was either this Christmas Rampage match or the Men of the Year that brought out Cody’s true Heel nature.
We got great stuff all in one segment for the Elite tonight with how Cole VS Cassidy went down. All logical stuff with Best Friends thwarting The Bucks, and then Fish trying it, to then give us the AEW debut of Kyle O’Reilly! For one, this was a given, and I like that we’re already getting this feeling of Cole having to choose between The Elite and the Undisputed Era. Or to put it another way, Cole has to choose between Bullet Club and NJPW or ROH and Future Shock. I really hope this means that when Omega returns, we end up with Elite OG VS Undisputed Era, that is going to be awesome stuff. Also, getting reDRagon back together when WWE dropped the ball in the latter days of NXT 1.0 is a great win for AEW.
We got a good back and forth in the promos from Hardy Family Office and Jurassic Express to hype up some of that, but I would think that’s Jungle Boy’s win. We also got great stuff from Malakai Black and the Varsity Blonds. I almost thought this was going to be where Malakai’s faction started coming together but I guess we’re getting that more for New Year’s Smash or the TBS debut. Deeb had a good promo to hype up the fact that she and Shida are going to be having an extended series of matches. And then we got great stuff out of The Pinnacle. Really good group promo and the passive aggressive disrespect towards Wardlow.
And then of course, we got an awesome Six Man main event, and holy crap MJF taking that bit of a header. Everybody was going pretty hot by the end, but that was the scarier moment in the match. The Faces win, of course, to put it on MJF to man up and face Punk 1v1. I’m also thinking, maybe FTR take on Darby & Sting 2v2. Maybe with the AAA titles on the line? And FTR can even cheat Darby & Sting so that a team signed with AAA can be the ones to dethrone FTR.

The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?
The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. The fans boo, Bravo headlocks, but Briscoe powers up, out, and headlocks in return. Bravo powers up and out but Briscoe RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Briscoe runs. Bravo drops down, hurdles, but Briscoe hits a crane stance! Bravo says that’s stupid! But Briscoe ducks Bravo’s punch to UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Bravo reverses to ROCK Briscoe! The forearms go back and forth, Briscoe fires a flurry, but Bravo CLAWS Briscoe’s face!
Bravo runs, but Briscoe winds up to UPPERCUT! The fans cheer the Redneck Kung-Fu! Lee tags in and hits his tiger stance. But then Kyle calls to Briscoe, and Briscoe tags Kyle! The fans cheer as Kyle and Lee tie up, go around, and Kyle wrenches. Lee wrenches, slips through, and waistlocks. They go around, Lee switches but Kyle has the arm. Kyle arm-drags Lee down, double wristlock, but Lee fights around. Kyle body scissors, rolls to the cover, TWO! The fans fire up as the two go again, knuckle lock, and Lee headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, Lee goes up and around, but Kyle does the same to slide under.
Lee ducks a kick, then wheelbarrows to victory roll, then EURO CLUTCH! TWO! Kyle is up, Lee backs off, and the fans cheer the exchange. Lee points to Nigel McGuinness, wanting him to remember the Euro Clutch did him in the last time they faced off. Kyle storms up on Lee, Lee headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Lee RUNS Kyle, keeps moving, but Kyle drops down. Lee sunset flips but Kyle stays up! Kyle shakes his head, drops down into the ARMBAR, but here comes The Infantry! Briscoe & Cassidy intercept Dean & Bravo, fire off hands in corners, and Kyle shifts to an ANKLE LOCK! But Lee reels Kyle into a headlock.
Briscoe & Cassidy TOSS The Infantry, then go out after them. Lee waistlocks, Kyle fires elbows, and Kyle climbs up in the corner. The fans count along as Kyle goes all the way to TEN! Tag to Briscoe, he climbs up, and he rains down fists! Briscoe goes all the way to TEN, then he tags Cassidy! The fans fire up again as Cassidy winds up, climbs up, and rains down ONE! Cassidy tries again, but the CARLIE CROSSOVER hits, then a feed to the SLINGSHOT SPEAR! Lee drags Cassidy to the apron, the ref is still distracted, Shane Taylor hits a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans boo but STP has taken control while Collision goes to picture in picture!
Lee drags Cassidy up, puts him in the ring, and Dean covers, TWO! Dean drags Cassidy up, whips him to ropes, then BODY BLOWS! Cassidy falls in a heap but Dean soaks up heat. This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Cassidy says Willow needs to say something.
Willow says sure, okay. Great job, guys, really. But for her, Double or Nothing, it will be TRIPLE or nothing, because she has THIS bad boy, the TBS Championship! But she’s also coming for The Owen, and the World Championship! As for tonight, Red Velvet may have beaten Willow to qualify for The Owen, but that won’t happen tonight. Before making her entrance, the ROH Women’s World TV Champion tells Willow, “The Comeback Killer,” that she’s still salty that Willow is in The Owen and Velvet is not. Tonight, she takes out all her frustrations every time she stirs it up and punches Willow in the face. Yeah, Velvet beat Willow before. And in fact, she’ll beat Willow for that TBS title right now!
The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see if The Babe with The Power is still the Face of TBS!
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, Willow powers Velvet to a corner, and the ref counts. Willow backs off, and she flexes as she fires the fans up. The two reset, tie up, and Willow SHOVES Velvet away. Velvet is frustrated as she comes back and resets with Willow again. Velvet then slips around Willow, waistlocks, but Willow wrenches out. Velvet wrenches back, top wristlocks, but Willow stays up. Velvet kicks and TRIPS Willow, then steps over to LEG DROP on the arm scissor! The fans rally as Willow rolls and stacks Velvet, TWO! Willow gut wrenches, but Velvet slips through! Willow ducks, but the superkick still scuffs her!
Willow says okay, okay, and she resets with Velvet. The fans rally behind Willow as she offers a handshake. Velvet accepts, but then arm- NO! Willow stops the arm-drag, and the next one, then whips Velvet to RUN her over! Willow fires up, the fans cheer, and things keep moving. Velvet runs up to CALF KICK! Willow flounders to a corner and Velvet storms up on her. Velvet fires body shots, then stomps Willow down. The ref counts but Velvet does the splits as she digs her boot in! But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Or is this one Collision Darby will not walk away from?

Tommaso Ciampa is CHOKING Mark Briscoe out! The Psycho Killer SMACKS Briscoe off road cases, and says how dare Briscoe call him out! Their brawl now moves onto the stage! The fans boo as Ciampa fires hands on Briscoe as they go down the ramp! Ciampa whips, Briscoe reverses, and Ciampa hits barriers hard! Briscoe stomps away on Ciampa, the fans fire up, and Briscoe whips Ciampa into more barriers! Briscoe throws a chair into the ring, then he drags Ciampa up and in. Ciampa bails out, but Briscoe DIVES! Down goes Ciampa, and Briscoe just throws another chair into the ring! Briscoe CLUBS away on Ciampa, then brings him up.
Ciampa BODY SHOTS, but Briscoe sends Ciampa into the steel steps! Briscoe puts Ciampa in the ring, stomps him, then positions the chairs. Briscoe reels Ciampa in, underhooks, but Ciampa fights the lift! Ciampa then LOW BLOWS Briscoe! The fans boo but Ciampa just scowls. Ciampa then grabs a chair, and he SMACKS Briscoe on the back! Briscoe writhes, the fans boo, but Ciampa just stalks Briscoe to a corner. Ciampa DIGS a chair into Briscoe’s bad shoulder! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up heat. Ciampa then brings Briscoe up, bumps him off buckles, and hoists him up top. Ciampa CHOPS, Briscoe sputters, but Ciampa gets the chairs!
Ciampa wants to recreate what put Briscoe on the shelf the past month! Ciampa JAMS Briscoe up with a chair first before putting it side-by-side with the other. Ciampa then climbs up, soaks up heat, and vows to end Briscoe once and for all! But then Kyle & Cassidy rush out here! Ciampa runs away from The Conglomeration, but he warns them all that he’ll get them for this! Briscoe grabs a mic to shout at Ciampa, “You ain’t nothin’ but a punk, son! You wanna do it like that? Sounds like to me Wednesday night, the only right thing to do is to make this ANYTHING GOES! NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!” The fans like the sound of that!

Joe just shrugs it off while the fans chant, “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” Lethal taunts Joe as the two reset, then Lethal slips around, only for Joe to JAB! JAB! JAB! Joe fires fast hands, a KICK, and Lethal flounders away! The fans cheer while Joe digs his boot into Lethal’s face, then scrapes him!
Joe storms up on Lee, Lee backs off, but Lethal bails out. The fans boo but Joe just tags Bowens in. Bowens dares Lethal to come back, but Lethal tags Lee. The fans cheer Bowens as he circles with Lee. They tie up, Bowens headlocks, but Lee powers up and out. Bowens RUNS Lee over, then runs the ropes, but Lee drops down, blows past, and slides under to then headlock takeover. Bowens headscissors, Lee kips free, but roles reverse as Bowens hits a headlock takeover. Lee headscissors, Bowens kips free, but Lee kicks low! Lee mocks the scissor fingers, then whips corner to corner. Bowens goes up, over, but Lee goes up and over in return!
Lee flips Bowens off, but Bowens THROWS Lee to the corner! Bowens CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS, then stomps, stomps, stomps! The ref counts, Bowens backs off, and the fans cheer the Pride of Pro-Wrestling as he jukes the ref to stomp Lee again! The ref counts, Bowens stops, and Lee bails out. Bowens goes outside after Lee, but Lethal runs up! Bowens mule kicks Lethal first, then RAMS him into the apron! And again! And again! The ref reprimands, Joe has his guy back off, but he is definitely impressed. Bowens hurries back into the ring to storm up on Lee, but Lee throat chops! Lee goes for a corner but Bowens blocks the bump to give a bump!
Tag to Joe, and Bowens clinches Lee into the RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Joe then runs up to SENTON! Cover, TWO! Lee toughs it out but Joe looms over him. Joe drags Lee up, puts him in a corner, then whips corner to corner. Lethal hurries to soften the impact, Lee runs up on Joe, but Joe dodges Lee so he can CHOP Lethal on the back! Blake gets up, but backflips away before Joe can grab him! Lee HOTSHOT BULLDOGS Joe, and Lethal MISSILE DROPKICKS! The Lethal Twist makes the numbers game work in their favor, but fans boo while Collision goes picture in picture.
Lee RAMS Joe into the corner, RAMS him again, and Lethal tags in. Lethal RAMS Joe again and again, then he tags Lee. The Lethal Twist mugs Joe, Lee stomps away, but the ref counts. Lee backs off, but that lets Lethal and Blake mug Joe! Bowens protests but The Lethal Twist gets away with it all. Lee then tags Lethal back in, and Lethal grabs a leg to trip Joe. Lethal then turns Joe over for the HALF CRAB! Joe endures, reaches out, and fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! Lethal lets go as the ref counts, but he sucker punches Bowens! Bowens says if you’re asking what this change of attitude is about… This man, Samoa Joe, has been teaching Bowens all he needs to know: choices have consequences; and if you don’t like the way the table is set, you flip that table over and you choose violence! The fans cheer, and now Joe speaks on the mic. “Oh, Ospreaaaay~…! Do you understand what I do for my friends? But unfortunately, decisions have consequences, and you chose a different road, Will. So allow me to say this: I am truly beyond honored that you consider facing me a dream match.” The fans cheer that, but Joe says it’s just unfortunate that when he gets Ospreay in the ring, “it’ll be nothing but a nightmare.”
Joe & Bowens have made it clear that no matter who, no matter where, and no matter what, The Opps will not show mercy. Will nothing stop The Opps from taking it all here in AEW?
Backstage interview with #Brodido.
Lexy Nair is with Brody King & Bandido, and wants to talk the Owen Hart Tournament. Brody is set to face Claudio while Bandido is up against Swerve Strickland. Now, if they both win their matches, that pits them against teach other in the semifinals. But what they also needs to talk about is last night, Supercard of Honor, Bandido retained the title, only for Swerve to attack. Brody tells Swerve that he warned him about what would happen if Swerve messed with the people Brody cared about! Next time Brody sees Swerve, he’ll- Bandido stops Brody there, and says no, no, hermano. Bandido loves you, but this is Bandido’s battle, and Brody needs to respect that.
So Bandido tells Swerve that this is a battle Swerve will not win! Swerve may be the Most Dangerous, but Bandido is the Most Wanted! And after Double or Nothing when Bandido beats Swerve, Swerve won’t be a danger to anyone anymore! Both sides of Brodido have spoken, but will either of them knock down Swerve’s House? Or will Swerve’s thirst for power be satiated with the Owen Hart Cup?

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross established just how dominant they are in the first 5 Minute Challenge last week, yet it seems two more poor souls want to test their might. Will Allie & Kaia at least last longer than the previous team? Or will The Megasus & Aussie Amazon score the fatality?
The teams sort out, Megan starts against Allie, and the bell rings. We’re on the clock as Megan and Allie circle, then tie up. Megan powers Allie to the ropes, then CHOPS! Megan whips, Allie blocks the lariat to wrench and PELE! But then Megan just rebounds to SHOTGUN BOOT Allie down! Allie flounders, Megan puts her in the corner, and CLUBS away from all sides! Tag to Lena, she whips Allie back into the corner, then ROCKS her! And ELBOWS her! And fires more elbows! The fans cheer, Lena BLASTS Kaia, then scoops Allie for a SPIN-OUT SIDEWALK SLAM! Lena grins, she drags Allie up, and she tags Megan.
Kaia runs up but Megan scoops her! The Divine Dominion SANDWICH the two, then FALL AWAY SLAM them both! And they SPLASH in the corners! And then another SPLASH! They send their opponents into each other, then DOUBLE LEAPING LARIAT! The fans fire up as Lena & Megan focus on Allie, DIVINE INTERVENTION! Cover, Divine Dominion wins!

Kris Statlander says, “At Double or Nothing, I face three women, one who I hate, one who I respect, and one who I’m still not sure about.” The hated one, Thekla, says there’s only one way this ends when she’s up against dumb b*tch after dumb b*tch after dumb b*tch. The respected one, Jamie Hayter, says she had the title stripped away from her and it’s eluded her ever since. And the uncertainty, Hikaru Shida, says even though it is every one for themselves, she knows she and Kris will be on the same page, just like always! Kris says y’know who really has her back? Kris herself! That’s all she needs! Jamie warns Thekla that she’s gonna find out, unfinished business is her favorite kind!
Thekla says Double or Nothing, the Toxic Spider destroys New York! A Fatal 4 Way of epic proportions await, will there be nothing left after the dust clears?
Backstage interview with Athena and Mina Shirakawa.
Lexy Nair is with the ROH Women’s World Champion and the Fighting Gravure Idol, and thanks them for accepting the No Physicality Agreement. They are on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Tournament, this has gotta be a tough one. Athena says maybe, maybe not, but the facts are this: Athena has been the ROH Women’s World Champion for over 1252 DAYS, and has left of dozens of bodies in her wake. Pretty sure Mina’s one of them. Mina says last year at All In, Athena broke Mina’s hand. Athena says so what! Last year at Death Before Dishonor, she kicked Mina’s ass all over the arena! Why does Mina think this match will be any different?
Mina laughs and says last night at Supercard, when she locked in the Figure Four on her opponent, she dreamt it was Athena. Athena says Mina is dreaming of her! So flattered! But she hopes Mina has the best dream tonight: Mina’s dead body in a ditch, next to her precious Toni Storm! Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. They argue, but Lexy keeps them from getting physical! Will the Fallen Goddess be unstoppable even in AEW? Or will The Owen will be about #MinaNow?
Backstage interview with Lio Rush.
Nigel McGuinness tracked down The Problem Child, and walks over. Lio says hey, Nigel! Good to see you! He saw Nigel put in that work last night, he did great. He did really good. Nigel appreciates that, that’s what he wants to talk about. Specifically, what happened between Lio and his former tag team partner, Action Andretti. Action cost Lio the ROH World TV Championship, what is Lio’s response? Lio says it’s all fine! It’s fine! These things happen, Nigel. Losses happen, friends get upset. It’s fine. It’s fine. Lio keeps saying that, and Nigel says that is the official response. Lio again says it’s good to see Nigel.
But then Lio takes off his sunglasses to show off those creepy eyes. He smiles, and that black goo drools out… Lio continues to say it’s fine, but is it anything but fine? Or should Action learn to sleep with one eye open?
Six Man Tag: Mark Davis & The Dogs VS The Rascalz!
Before they team up for Stadium Stampede, the AEW National Champion teams with David Finlay & Clark Connors to test their chemistry. Will Dunkzilla, The Rebel & 100 Proof sink their teeth into Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed? Or will The Rascalz light ’em up and smoke ’em in Salisbury?
The trios sort out and Davis starts against Dez. They circle, but then The Dogs rush in! The ref stops them, Davis runs up on Dez, but Dez dodges! Dez dodges again, SHOTGUNS The Dogs, then SUPERKICKS Davis! Dez jumps on for a SLEEPER, Zach tags in, and Myron helps out as The Rascalz mug Davis! They beat Davis down in the corner and the fans fire up! The ref counts, The Rascalz back off, then Zach tags Dez back in. They double whip but The dogs bail Davis out. The fans boo but The Rascalz run up to TRIPLE BOOT Davis & The Dogs down! Then they build speed, only for The Dogs to CLOBBER Zach & Myron!
Dez DIVES, but Davis catches him! And CHOPS him down! The Dogs beat up on Zach & Myron on the outside, Davis CHOKES Dez with a chair, but the ref reprimands. Davis puts Dez in the ring, Finlay CHOKES Myron while Connors whips, but Zach reverses! Connors hits railing hard and writhes on the floor. Myron whips Finlay into railing, and Dez dodges Davis as Davis runs up in the corner! Dez ENZIGIRIS again and again and again! Then Zach joins in, ENZIGIRI GAMANGIRI SANDWICH! Tag to Zach, they speed blitz Davis, then Myron joins in with a DOUBLE STOMP! The Rascalz combine, but The Dogs catch Dez!
The Dogs use Dez to CLOBBER Zach, and THROW him at Myron! The Dogs whip Zach, DOUBLE ELBOW, then SENTON! SLIDING SHOULDER! Davis SENTONS on top! The fans boo but Davis & The Dogs soak it up while Collision goes picture in picture.
Davis drags Zach up just to CLUB him down. Then he drags Zach up to whip hard into the corner. Davis tags Connors, Connors ROCKS Zach, then ROCKS him again. But Zach hits back! Zach backs Connors down, but Connors UPPERCUTS him down! Connors taunts the fans and The Rascalz, then drags Zach back up. Connors RAMS Zach into the corner, tags Finlay, and Finlay stomps away on Zach. The ref counts, Finlay stops, but then Davis CHOKES Zach behinds the ref’s back! Davis gets away with it, then flexes to soak up heat. Finlay puts Zach on the ropes, backs off as the ref reprimands, but that lets Connors CLOBBER Zach!
Finlay then hoists Zach up, BROKEN ARROW! Zach gets distance from that throw, and Finlay flexes. Cover, TWO! Finlay drags Zach into shoulder claws, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as Zach fires body shots on Finlay, but Finlay throat chops! Zach sputters, Finlay tags Connors, and they double whip Zach, but Zach BLASTS Davis! Finlay runs up, blocks a boot, but Zach reels him in, pushes him down, then hops over! Zach then slips under Connors, but Connors gets a leg! Zach BOOTS Connors into Finlay! Zach crawls, but Connors BLASTS The Rascalz! The fans boo but Connors CLOBBERS Zach, too! Connors soaks up heat then drags Zach up. Connors whips, Zach handsprings, JUMP KNEE! The fans fire up, both men crawl, and we get hot tags on Finlay and Myron! Myron ducks Finlay to then dodge and GUILLOTINE LEG DROP!
Myron goes up, up, and he leaps, but Finlay gets under. Finlay blocks a kick, spins Myron, but Myron DRAGON WHIPS! Connors runs up, Myron dodges, and Dez UPPERCUTS! SUPERKICKS! And CUTTERS! Myron runs up on Finlay, whips, but Finlay reverses. Finlay ducks a boot but the SUPERKICK hits! Dez joins in, DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! The Rascalz hoist Finlay up, SLINGSHOT NECKBREAKER BOMB COMBO! Cover, TWO!! Finlay survives but Myron tags Zach. Zach & Myron get Finlay up for a torture rack while Dez climbs, but Davis SHOVES Dez down! Connors saves Finlay, then Finlay hits an IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER on Myron!
Connors SNAP POWERSLAMS Zach! The fans boo but Finlay tags Davis. Davis goes up top, Finlay and Connors get Zach and Myron up in Electric Chair Lifts, but Myron & Zach each POISON-RANA free! Dez goes up to get Davis! SUPERPLEX! The fans fire up while everyone is down around ringside! The Rascalz rise and regroup, then they build speed! TRIPLE TOPES!! The fans are all fired up as The Rascalz get Davis in! “This is Awesome!” as The Rascalz then combine for the SWING OUT TRIPLE DROPKICK!! The fans fire up while Davis is in the drop zone! Zach goes up, Dez tags in, and Zach SWANTON BOMBS!
Dez climbs up top, Myron tags in, Dez FROG SPLASHES! Myron goes up, he adds the 450 SPLASH! Cover, THE DOGS BREAK IT! The fans can’t believe it but The Rascalz go after The Dogs! They TOSS The Dogs out, but then the brawling continues! Finlay fireman’s carries Dez for a SNAKE EYES off the railing! Connors JEEP FLIPS Zach! The Dogs then go after Myron, but he goes Matrix to dodge! DOUBLE CUTTERS on the kip up! Myron runs, FLYING- NO! Davis stops the cutter to LARIAT Myron back in! Then Davis runs, hits the REBOUNDER!! Lexy Nair is with the Queenslayer and commends her on that great return match against Willow Nightingale a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop the Comeback Killer. Anna gives all the respect to Willow, her moves hurt. Maybe Anna dove into the deep end, but she didn’t drown. So while Willow is still TBS Champion, maybe Willow isn’t quite the Comeback Killer. Anna came back, is still here, and there is still a lot left for them to do. And by that, she means her and Tay Melo! The besties reunite, and Tay says if Anna is back, and she is back, then there’s one thing they gotta do.
Anna tells if they wanna find out what that is, #JustTryUs! TayJay is back again, but are they going to fight their way right to the Divine Dominion’s tag titles?
AEW World Championship No Count Outs: Darby Allin VS Sammy Guevara!
The Relentless One may have gotten MJF to accept the Double or Nothing challenge, but he is always up for a fight! The Spanish God still has the ROH World Tag Team Championship around his waist, but he wants even more gold to show off to his wife and daughter! Who gets what they want tonight to then head for Queens, New York?
As he makes his entrance, Sammy brings a table out from under the ring and sets it up ringside, planning ahead for the wild fight he and Darby are about to have! The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! Sammy puts the belt aside, the bell rings, and Sammy KNEES Darby right outta the ring! Sammy THROWS Darby into railing, THROWS him in again, then goes back to his table! Sammy puts the table by the stage, then he drags Darby up. Sammy THROWS Darby into more railing! And more railing!
Sammy grabs a ladder and he brings it over to his table! The ref reprimands, there are no count outs but there are still disqualifications! Sammy doesn’t seem to care, he still stands his ladder up near that table. Sammy then lines up a shot, and he JUMP KNEES Darby back down! “I’m gonna be the world champion! Me! Not him!” Sammy drags Darby up, puts him on the table, and he rains down fists! Sammy climbs the ladder, goes to the very top, and reminds us that he’s loco! SUPER SWANTON BOMB through the table!! The fans go nuts as Darby and Sammy are both down in the wreckage!
The ref checks both men, and Sammy sits up first. Sammy drags Darby up with a headlock, brings him to the ring, and Sammy covers, TWO!! Darby survives and Sammy is furious! Sammy drags Darby up, torture racks, and GO TO- NO, Darby blocks and turns Sammy over! SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Sammy endures, reaches out, but Darby is looking dizzy! Darby falls over?! Sammy grins as Darby sputters, but the ref has Sammy hold on, he needs to check! Darby is conscious but dazed, and Sammy hurries to the apron. Springboard FROG SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and Sammy is beside himself!
Sammy pushes Darby to a cover, TWO! Darby refuses to give up, despite how it looks. Sammy puts Darby up top, but Darby fires body shots! Darby HEADBUTTS Sammy down, then adjusts, but Sammy trips Darby up! Darby hits buckle, then apron, then floor! Sammy soaks up the heat while the ref checks Darby again. Darby flounders and crawls but refuses to stop, so Sammy fires hands! Sammy climbs up on Darby but Darby fires hands in return! Darby shoves Sammy, Sammy goes up the steps and JUMP SOBATS! Sammy says #AndNew AEW World Champion! Sammy soaks up more heat, then he drags Darby up.
Sammy puts Darby in the ring, drags him up, then KNEES him low! Sammy grins, suplexes, and that’s just Uno Amigo! That means “One Friend.” Sammy hits Dos Amigos! Then THREE AMIGOS! Cover, TWO! Sammy is frustrated as Darby survives again. Sammy clamps on with a chinlock, not quite a bulldog choke, but Darby is still sputtering for air. The fans rally as hard as they can, and Darby rises up to fire body shots! Darby runs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS! Darby falls, Sammy covers, TWO!! Darby scrambles away but Sammy stalks him, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Sammy digs his boot into Darby’s face at the ropes, but the ref counts. Sammy stops, talks some trash, then stalks Darby to a corner. Sammy drags Darby up, whips him corner to corner hard, and Darby flounders out of the ring. Sammy pursues, drags Darby up, and he talks more trash on the fans. Sammy stands Darby up to ROCK him, then push him around. Sammy drags Darby up and THROWS him into railing! Sammy talks more trash, then walks around commentary so he can take a headset and tell everyone what he’s doing as he does it! He stomps Darby, taunts him, then has to go follow Darby around the way.
Sammy follows Darby into the ring, stands him up, but Darby fires hands! Sammy KNEES low, KNEES again and again, then ROCKS Darby! Darby falls over, but Sammy CHOKES Darby on the ropes! The ref counts, Sammy stops, and Darby coughs and sputters again. Sammy has the legs, he puts Darby under the ring, CATAPULT GUILLOTINE! Darby writhes and coughs again, but Sammy steps out to the apron. Sammy looms over Darby, drags him up by his chain, and Collision returns to single picture. Darby fights the suplex, then blocks a kick to FLIP Sammy! Sammy lands on his feet, but Darby SHOTGUNS Sammy down!
The fans fire up as Darby rises again! Darby has his second wind and he builds speed to DIVE! Into a CUTTER on the floor! Sammy puts Darby back in, Sammy springboards in, but into a REAR NAKED CHOKE!! Darby catches Sammy now and the fans fire up! Sammy flails, reaches out, but Darby pushes him down with his body weight! Sammy still endures, crawls forward, and reaches the ROPEBREAK! Darby lets go and the fans rally up again. Fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow. Darby sees Sammy on the apron, and he goes to the corner! Darby climbs, but Sammy rolls to the far side.
Darby hops down, waits on Sammy to stand, and he runs up, but into an eye poke! Sammy hoe up, and he APRON DOUBLE STOMPS Darby down! Cover, TWO!! Sammy is frustrated but he drags Darby up to the top rope. Sammy climbs up to join Darby, but Darby fights the suplex! They trade body shots, and Darby SHOVES Sammy! Sammy backflips through! Sammy is right back up top, SUPER SPANISH FLY!! Sammy crawls to the cover, TWO! Sammy clutches his knee and grits his teeth. Sammy brings the kneepad down to release some pressure, then stands up. The fans rally as Sammy hobbles over to Darby, but Darby JAWBREAKERS!
Sammy staggers, Darby runs up and fires forearms! The fans fire up as Darby roars and runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Darby wobbles, Sammy runs, but Darby blows past! Springboard and COFFIN SPLASH! The fans fire up again as Darby fires fast hands, RAMS low, then hops on, CODE RED! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and Darby is stunned! The fans rally up as Darby has Sammy in the dragon sleeper! But Sammy fires knees, snapmares free, only for Darby to ELBOW him away! Darby climbs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS the legs! Torture rack and GO TO HOSPITAL! Darby staggers around, but Sammy torture racks again! GO TO HOSPITAL!!
Darby flops down and Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy goes up top, FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO?!?! Sammy has no words, English or Spanish, but Darby flops out of the ring. Sammy goes out after Darby, and he brings out the other table! The fans rally as Sammy brings it over to set up by ringside. Sammy makes sure it is angled just right before he puts Darby on it. The fans boo, but then Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy climbs, reminds us again that he’s loco, and Sammy SUPER 630s only through the table!! Darby avoids disaster, then he puts Sammy back in! COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.
Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.
Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.
Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.
And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.

We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?
The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!
Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands! Cope DECKS Dax, and wait, Christian and Cash are brawling in the crowd! Same for Matt and Connors! The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.
Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.
But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. But Christian slips around to chicken wing the arms! Dax shoves Christian away, but Christian turns around, NOGGIN KNOCKER! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Cope snarls as he rises up, hot tags to Cope and Connors!
The fans fire up as The Rated R Superstar rallies on everyone! LARIAT for Cash! ELBOW for Dax! Cope TOSSES Finlay out onto Ciampa and Cash! BOOT for Connors! The fans fire up again and Cope goes to a corner. Cope is feeling it, and he aims at Connors. But then Finlay grabs a leg! The fans boo, but Nick SUPERKICKS Finlay! Connors runs up, Nick RAMS him low! Then slingshot FACEBUSTER! And cartwheel ASAI MOONSAULT! COPE-O-SETIC for Connors, TWO! The fans rally as Cope keeps focus on Connors. Cope drags Connors up, whips him to the corner, then Nick runs up! Connors puts Nick out, then he puts Matt out!
But Christian is back, and he coordinates with The Bucks, LARIAT DOUBLE ENZIGIRI on Connors! Then Cassidy somersaults for a “powerful” back elbow! Finlay runs up, Cassidy kicks the legs out! Finlay hits buckles but Ciampa runs up! Christian sends him into Cash, then dragon sleepers Ciampa. Christian sees Dax run up, kicks him low, and gets him in the same hold, DOUBLE REVERSE DDTS! The fans fire up as FTR, Ciampa and Finlay are all in drop zones! “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy, Christian and The Bucks climb the corners. Connors runs up on Cope, but Cope snatches him into a facelock!
Cope acts as air traffic control as he coordinates everyone, QUADRUPLE MACHO ELBOWS before an IMPALER!! Cover, TWO!! Connors survives and the fans can’t believe it! Ciampa and Finlay get up, The Bucks BLAST them, then DIVE! Down they go at ramp side, then Christian and Cassidy bump into each other. The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this the opener! Cassidy puts his hands up, but Christian stops him. Christian shakes his head, but then Cassidy makes Christian put his hands in his pockets! Cope calls out a shot, runs, but into a SHATTER MACHINE!! FTR snatches Cope outta nowhere, Connors makes the cover, but Cassidy breaks it! The fans fire up as now FTR has Cassidy surrounded. But Cassidy “unleashes” his kicks! The fans go nuts with every shot, but FTR shoves Cassidy! SHATTER- DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on Cash! Cassidy fights free of Dax, but Dax blocks Nick’s Superkick! Dax sends it into Matt! Nick SUPERKICKS through after all! Finlay clinches, IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER on Nick! Matt feints the kick to DDT! But then Ciampa KNEES Matt down! Connors JEEP FLIPS Christian! Connors then stalks Cope while the fans boo. Connors lines up a shot, Cope rises to his feet, Connors runs in! But Cope jumps over Connors’ spear, sending it into Dax! Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

Knight practically falls into the laps of the front row! But Cage brings Knight around to CHOP him down! Cage soaks up the cheers and jeers before he brings Knight around again. Cage SMACKS Knight off the apron, then puts him in the ring. Cage storms into the ring, drags Knight by his legs, and ties the legs up into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Knight endures as Cage sits deep! Knight powers up, fights his way forward, and he reaches to the ROPEBREAK!

AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!
This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! The winner of each tournament will then challenge for THE AEW World Championship and AEW Women’s World Championships on August 30th at All In: London! And so, for the opening round, it will be: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Mark Davis; Claudio Castagnoli VS Brody King; then Double or Nothing has both Samoa Joe VS Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland VS Bandido!

We’ve seen the Aerial Assassin training with The Death Riders, he’s won gold with his old friends in The United Empire, and now he’s about to face a dangerous man at Double or Nothing. Will Ospreay be more than ready for Samoa Joe after tonight? Or will he fail to even get past The Inevitable?
The bell rings and the fans cheer Ospreay as he stares down with Ace. Ospreay offers a handshake, Ace accepts, and the fans cheer the sportsmanship. They circle, tie up, and Ospreay wrenches to wristlock. Ace rolls, handsprings, and wrenches, but Ospreay rolls, kips up, and wrenches back. Ospreay hammerlocks, Ace rolls to kip up and wrench to then armlock. Ospreay endures the grind, fights around, and he arm-drags Ace down. Ace endures, fights around, and rises up. Ace shoots through to waistlock but Ospreay switches. Ospreay hits the headlock takeover, Ace headscissors, but Ospreay kips free.
The fans cheer the standoff, and the two reset. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength. The fans rally as Ace pushes Ospreay back. Ace has Ospreay down for a knuckle lock cover, ONE as Ospreay gets his arm up. Ace pushes it down, cover, ONE as Ospreay gets the other arm up. Ace tries again, ONE as Ospreay bridges! Ace jumps up, but Ospreay holds the bridge! That training truly pays off! Ace jumps, Ospreay gets him for a MONKEY FLIP! The fans fire up as Ospreay then arm-drags! Ospreay wristlocks and he bends the fingers! Ospreay isolates the arm to then STOMP it!
Ace clutches his arm as Ospreay shows his training already. Ospreay wrenches, ELBOW BREAKERS, then whips Ace. Ace reverses, he blocks a boot, but not the AX KICK! Ace is frustrated already, but he stalks Ospreay to ropes. Ace kicks Ospreay around, CLUBS him down, but Ospreay fires back. Ace bumps Ospreay off buckles, kicks and ROCKS him, then snapmares. Ace KNEES Ospreay in the back, then clamps on with a chinlock. Ospreay endures, even as Ace cranks the neck, and Ospreay fires shots from below. Ace DECKS Ospreay for it! Down goes Ospreay and the fans fire up! Ace drags Ospreay up, but Ospreay puts him int he ring! Ace rewinds to headscissor, but Ospreay pops Ace up to SUPERKICK the arm out! Ospreay then climbs up, takes aim, and BLINDSIDE FOREARM!
The fans fire up as Ospreay springboards, OSCUTTER! Cover, TWO! Ace survives and Ospreay is stunned! Ospreay just shakes it off, goes to the corner, and takes aim. Ace slowly rises up, but he ducks the Hidden Blade to DOUBLE STOMP! Ospreay sputters, Ace falls back, and now Ace takes aim. Ace runs corner to corner to A-LIST LARIAT! The fans fire up as Ace survives again! Ospreay roars, the fans are with him, and he ROCKS Ace! Ace ROCKS Ospreay, and repeat! They go back and forth, then Ospreay KICKS! Ace fires another forearm, Ospreay kicks, then Ace CHOPS! They go back and forth again, but Ace CHOPS and ROKCS, until Ospreay fires Kawada Kicks! CHOP! Ace HEEL KICKS! Ace shakes out the bad arm, runs up, but Ospreay dodges to then ROLLING ELBOW! And HOOK KICK! Then the underhooks for the STORM- NO, Ace pops free, then goes to a corner. The fans fire up as Ace shuffles the deck, and runs up for the0 NO, Ospreay BACKDROPS Ace, but Ace lands on his feet! HIDDEN BLADE!! Ospreay isn’t done with just one, he aims from the corner and… Ace flops over! The fans boo but Ospreay shows no mercy. He just runs up to PENALTY KICK the bad arm! Then a FLYING ARMBAR TAKEDOWN!! Ace TAPS, Ospreay wins!!

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?
AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!
Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?
The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!
Windsor, Jamie & Shida all go to nine, then wind up for TEN! The fans cheer again while Thekla sputters. Jamie snap suplexes, but Skye ROCKS Shida! Jamie stomps Thekla, Windsor SLAMS Julia off barriers, and Jamie stomps a mudhole in the corner. The ref counts, Jamie lets off, but Skye and Windsor meet while tightrope walking the barriers! Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!

Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!
Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!
Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.
Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!
Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!
Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!

The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!
The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
