The Charismatic Enigma takes on the Infamous One, with another spot in history on the line! Will Jeff deny the Undisputed Elite from having three men in the tournament? Or will this tournament be truly undisputed?
The bell rings and fans are fired up as the two stare down. They circle as fans rally, and they tie up. Hardy wrenches and CLUBS an arm, then wrenches and CLUBS it again. Hardy headlocks but Fish powers out, only for Hardy to run him over. Hardy does his dance, fans fire up, and things speed up. Cole says taunting is a mistake, but Hardy still reverses a hip toss into a hip toss! Cover, ONE, but Hardy keeps Fish down with a chinlock. Fans rally while Fish endures. Fish fights up and Cole says Fish is warming up. Hardy RAMS Fish into a corner, RAMS him some more, then whips corner to corner to bump him off buckles.
Fans duel, Fish kicks back but Hardy throws body shots. Hardy headbutts, RAMS into Fish, then bumps him off more buckles. Hardy whips but Fish reverses to RAM Hardy in return! Fish fires heavy shots in the corner, KICKS a leg, then he drags Hardy up to get the leg. Fish throws knees and kicks, then DRAGON SCREWS the leg! Fish stalks Hardy, runs and SLIDING LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Hardy is showing how hardy he is, but Fish drags him up. Fans rally, Fish BOOTS Hardy into a corner, and Fish fires more heavy hands. Fish brings Hardy around for knees, then he snapmares Hardy down.
Fish goes out then slingshot sentons but misses as Hardy bails out! Fish hurries after him but Hardy kicks back. Fish gets the leg again to DRAGON SCREW Hardy into railing! The ref checks on Jeff, Fish tells Matt to back up. Sting and Darby Allin watch from the rafters while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Fish stomps Hardy, drags him up, and RAMS him into the railing. Jeff slumps down but Fish tells Matt to back off again. Fish throws more shots on Jeff, then CLUBS him in the side. Fish refreshes the count while Jeff slumps against steps. Fish then brings Hardy around, only for Hardy to throw haymakers! Fish KNEES low, but Jeff gets in as Matt coaches him. Fish stares Matt down then gets back in the ring. Fish paces around Hardy, rains down fists and forearms, then paces again. Fish drags Hardy up to then clinch and bring him around. Hardy gets a cradle! TWO, and Fish KNEES Hardy down!
Fish paces around Hardy, drags him up, and wrenches an arm into a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Fish is frustrated but he drags Hardy up to CLUB him with crossface forearms. Dynamite returns to single picture, Cole still likes what he sees, but Hardy spin back kicks! Fans rally for “BROTHER NERO!” as Hardy and Fish slowly rise. They stand, Hardy wants a jawbreaker but is denied! Hardy blocks Fish’s kick and tries again, but the jawbreaker gets a KNEE from Fish! Fish swings but misses, Hardy hits the JAWBREAKER on the third try! Fans rally up and Cole coaches Fish from commentary.
Fish and Hardy stand again, and Fish KICKS Hardy off his feet! Hardy gets up but Fish KICKS him down again! Hardy ducks the third kick but the mule kick hits. Fish runs but into an elbow! And then a lariat! Hardy whips, Fish reverses but Hardy CLOBBERS Fish! Fans fire up and Hardy gives Fish an atomic drop! Leg trip, leg splitter leg drop! Then basement dropkick and elbow drop! Cover, TWO! Fish is still in this and Cole feels good about this. Hardy kicks and TWIST OF FATE! Fish is down, Hardy hurries to the corner and fans fire up! Cole shouts for Fish to get up but Hardy is up top!
Fish KICKS Hardy’s legs out! Hardy is stuck on the top rope and Fish throws haymakers. Fish climbs up after Hardy, for a SUPER FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!! Hardy survives but Fish has the KNEEBAR!! Cole says this is it! Squeeze, Bobby, squeeze! But Hardy endures, with his brother and the fans rallying! ROPEBREAK! Fish lets go at 4 in frustration, but Kyle is fired up for Fish. Cole says Fish has plenty in the tank, and he runs at Hardy corner to corner, but into an elbow! Hardy goes up, WHISPER IN THE WIND! Direct hit! Hardy crawls past Fish to go up the corner! Cole says big mistake, but Hardy’s up top! SWANTON BOMB! Cover, Jeff Hardy wins!
Winner: Jeff Hardy, by pinfall (advances to the Owen Hart Men’s Tournament)
Cole is upset because the sixth seed goes to the Charismatic Enigma! But then the Young Bucks make their way out! Cole says Matt & Nick Jackson are the sharpest dressed duo as they join the Hardys in the ring. Fans like where this is going and even Cole wants to see a match of those teams. Matt & Nick leave it at this as they check on Fish. But will the Bucks and the Hardys have a tag team war in AEW soon enough?

The people in the Blackpool Combat Club wouldn’t. We would you cut you on the cheek. Because being stabbed, you’ll forget about it in six months. I prefer to think that all of us would get more pleasure out of knowing that every morning, when you wake up, you’re going to look in the mirror, and you’re going to remember us because of the scars we left on you.” Who will the BCC scar on their way to the top?

We heard from their menacing mentor, now we will see those words put into action! The American Dragon, Maniac and Decoder have already gone two for two as a trio, will they make it three? Or will the Andrade Family Office finally gain some traction now that the South African Submission Specialist is back in action?
The AFO strike while Jon Moxley is still making his entrance! Butcher clobbers Moxley into railing and hammers away, Blade is stomping Bryan Danielson and Angelico is stomping Wheeler Yuta! Moxley hits back, Regal isn’t bothered at all, and Moxley throws Butcher into railing! Yuta and Angelico spill out of the ring but Blade chokes Bryan with his jacket! Yuta CHOPS Angelico, Angelico KNEES Yuta! The ref gets Blade to stop choking Bryan and then Blade gloats while raising his hands triumphantly. The bell rings to get this on record, and Blade CHOPS Bryan to a corner. And ROCK him with a right, and another CHOP!
Blade whips Bryan to ropes, to CLOBBER him! Blade drags Bryan over to tag Angelico, and they mug Bryan. Angelico wrenches an arm, hooks up both arms, then ties up both legs, for a HANGING BOW ‘N’ ARROW! But Bryan fights free to sunset flip, TWO! Bryan KICKS Angelico in the chest, then KICKS him again! Bryan bumps Angelico off buckles, CHOPS him, then keeps him up to KICK and KICK and KICK! Fans rally “YES! YES! YES!” and Bryan lets off, to then run in and DROPKICK! Bryan drags Angelico back in, wrenches and wristlocks then tags Yuta. They CLUB Angelico’s arm, then Yuta CHOPS!
Fans rally for Yuta but Angelico knees low. Angelico JABS Yuta, tags Blade, but Yuta back drops and arm-drags Blade to an armlock! Yuta wrenches the wrist, isolates the arm, then STOMPS it! Yuta then scoops but Blade slips off. Butcher tags in, Yuta dropkicks Blade then dropkicks Butcher, but Butcher stays up! Butcher eggs Yuta on, so Yuta fires forearms! Butcher shoves Yuta into Angelico’s cheap shot, but Yuta DECKS Angelico for it. Blade trips Yuta up, Butcher CROSSBODIES! Fans fire up, Butcher drags Yuta up and Dynamite goes picture in picture with the snap suplex!
Butcher drags Yuta up, bumps him off buckles, and he tags Blade. Blade fires haymakers, CHOPS, and then HCOKES Yuta! The ref counts, Blade lets off, but Yuta DECKS Angelico again! Butcher CLUBS Yuta down, Blade tags Angelico in, and they mug Yuta. Angelico drags Yuta down to trap one arm and pull the other into a modified triangle! Yuta endures, fans rally, Moxley shouts to Yuta, and Yuta moves around. ROPEBREAK, and Angelico thrashes the arms until the ref counts 4. Angelico drags Yuta up, tag to Butcher. They mug Yuta, then Butcher CHOPS Yuta against ropes. Yuta CHOPS back but Butcher CHOPS again!
Butcher CHOPS Yuta in the corner until Yuta falls down. Butcher bumps Yuta off buckles, tags Blade, and they double whip to run Yuta over. They roll Yuta to his feet to DOUBLE CHOP him down! Cover, TWO! Blade KICKS Yuta but now Yuta eggs him on. Blade scuffs Yuta but Yuta still wants more. Blade kicks, Yuta CHOPS, so Blade rakes eyes! Yuta ends up back in the AFO corner and gets mugged again. The ref counts and reprimands, Angelico tags in to add kicks and stomps and jabs! Tag to Butcher, he drags Yuta up to whip into the open corner hard! Yuta bounces off buckles, but Butcher whips him hard the other way!
Dynamite returns to single picture as Yuta stands back up. Butcher storms over and whips Yuta back to the other corner, but Yuta goes up and under and reaches for his corner! Butcher pulls him back but Yuta slips under and waistlocks. GERMAN SUPLEX on Butcher! Fans are fired up while both men are down. Yuta and Butcher crawl, hot tags to Moxley and Blade! Fans explode as Moxley rallies on Blade, then clotheslines him out of the ring! Moxley goes out after Blade to whip him into the timekeeper’s area! Moxley clears out space to dump Blade back over! Moxley whips Blade into steel steps!
Fans are thunderous as Moxley drags Blade up to put in the ring. Blade KICKS Moxley back then runs, into a CUTTER! Butcher gets in, Moxley BITES him! The ref counts, Moxley stops but Blade POSTS him! Tag to Angelico, he runs in to roll over Moxley’s back. Moxley jumps the sweep but the Eddy Gordo Kick hits! Angelico runs, into a LARIAT! Moxley shakes his head, tags Bryan in, and Moxley has Angelico by his ear! Bryan missile dropkicks Angelico down! Fans fire up as Bryan gets the wrists! Butcher and Blade rush in but are intercepted! REAR NAKED CHOKE for Blade, GUILLOTINE for Butcher!

Backstage interview with Ricky Starks & Will Hobbs.
Last week, we saw Team Taz put out the challenge to the AEW World Tag Team Champions, and Starks says, “Are you surprised, Tony?” Look at him and Powerhouse Hobbs! They ain’t scared. But then Jurassic Express walk in, and Jungle Boy lets them know he took a week to think about it. Starks & Hobbs VS Jurassic Express for the tag titles sounds like fun to JB & Luchasaurus. But then JB thought a little bit more on it, and Starks seems like a “spicy” kind of guy. Let’s spice it up more. Before Team Taz gets their shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships, Starks gives JB a shot at the FTW Championship.
Starks laughs it off, but Christian Cage points out the fake shades came off. This means Starks is serious. Don’t get Christian started on that title on Starks’ shoulder that he never seems to defend. Hold up! The shades ain’t fake! And as for JB’s challenge, it’s accepted! Starks is FTW Champion for a reason! And next week, Starks shows JB what a real man is all about! An absolute man! Team Taz heads out, will JB become a double champion on the road to Double or Nothing?
Backstage interview with Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland.
Tony Schiavone notes that Starks & Hobbs have a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships, but Keith & Swerve have unfinished business with them. Swerve says damn right. He peeped at Starks & Hobbs getting this shot. Rightfully so, as they’re a top five tag team. But there’s still business with Swerve and the Limitless One. Starks & Hobbs are going for prizes but there’s still payback coming! Keith adds that “dubious, questionable, unproven,” all describe what Team Taz did by using Taz himself against Keith & Swerve. Keith guarantees that when this is all said and done, Team Taz will have no choice but to #SwerveinOurGlory.
Wardlow VS ??? w/ MJF!
The security guards still escort a handcuffed War Dog from his “changing room” to ringside. Maxwell Jacob Friedman will not let him free from his contract until this ordeal is over. But is MJF just setting up another man for the Powerbomb Symphony? Or has MJF found the perfect opponent to put down the Piggy?
Speaking of, of course MJF and Shawn Spears have to make their way out. “I would love to say it’s great to be back here in Maryland, but then I’d be a lying piece of sh*t. Speaking of! Look, everybody, it’s Wardlow!” Fans cheer but MJF tells them to shut up. MJF tells Wardlow that MJF isn’t gonna stay out here because he can’t stand to look at the disgusting pigs in the crowd another second. He and Spears will watch this from the back. But Wardlow should be terrified of the man who is about to come out of the curtain! A man who is seven feet of sheer, unadulterated power and has never taken an L in his life! Ladies and gentlemen, the BIG DUB, WILLIAM MORRISSEY!
Impact’s mountainous Morrissey makes his way out, and MJF manages to give him a high-five on his way to the back. Morrissey and Wardlow stare down, the bell rings, and fans are fired up. Fans chant, “How You Doin?” as Morrissey and Wardlow tie up. Morrissey backs Wardlow down but Wardlow gets away. They go again, and Morrissey backs Wardlow down again, but Wardlow gets away again. Fans chant for “WARD~LOW!” as he and Morrissey reset. They tie up, Wardlow CARRIES Morrissey to the corner! Wardlow lets off but he does roar at Morrissey. Morrissey shrugs that off and the two reset again.
They tie up, Morrissey knees low then CLUBS Wardlow, then CLUBS him again. Morrissey CLUBS Wardlow once again, then gloats. Fans boo but Morrissey whips Wardlow into a corner. Morrissey runs in to SPLASH, and he keeps going, but Wardlow follows! Wardlow RAMS Morrissey, EuroUppers, then RAMS again! Wardlow repeats, but lets off as the ref counts. Wardlow runs back in but Morrissey leaps over him! Wardlow hits buckles, Morrissey keeps moving, and he BOOTS Wardlow down! Fans fire up and MJF is fired up, too, as he and Spears watch. MJF cheers on “Big Dub” as Morrissey clotheslines Wardlow out of the ring!
Wardlow gets up and Morrissey mocks the conducting of music. Morrissey then goes out after Wardlow with big haymakers. Wardlow staggers, fans duel now, “We Want Enzo!” “No We Don’t!” Wardlow hits back with haymakers and CLUBBING forearms, then he whips. Morrissey reverses and he POSTS Wardlow! Morrissey mocks the Enzo rope-a-dope then tells fans up theirs! Morrissey drags Wardlow up, CLUBS him, and then he refreshes the ring count. Morrissey SMACKS Wardlow off the apron, and again. Morrissey says Wardlow ain’t the big fish anymore, and then he dribbles Wardlow on the apron!
Fans chant for “WARD~LOW!” but Morrissey puts him in the ring. Morrissey takes his time returning into the ring, then he looms over Wardlow. Wardlow throws body shots and then haymakers! Wardlow backs Morrissey down, whips, but Morrissey reverses. Wardlow ducks and dodges, but runs into the SCRAPBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Morrissey snarls but he stands over Wardlow. Morrissey brings him up, hoists him up to the top rope, then CLUBS him on the back. Morrissey climbs up to join Wardlow, but Wardlow fights back with elbows! Morrissey hops down, Wardlow adjusts, and Wardlow MOONSAULTS!! Direct hit and he even lands on his feet!
Fans are thunderous and the straps come down! Wardlow gets Morrissey up, for a POWERBOMB! High stack, Wardlow wins!!

It didn’t take a symphony, just a single chord! MJF is FURIOUS! He even throws down Spears’ favorite chair! But of course, security approaches to cuff Wardlow. Wardlow puts out his hands, but then he HEADBUTTS the guard! And DECKS one, then BOOTS the other! Wardlow is fighting back against MJF’s contract! MJF and Spears rush out, but they’re just ushering in more guards. They all get CLOBBERED, one after another! BOOTS, FOREARMS, CHOPS, HAYMAKERS, this is the symphony of destruction Wardlow is putting on tonight! He even gets one up for a POWERBOMB outside the ring! The guards are all bowled over and Wardlow gets a mic!
“WHAT’D I TELL YOU!? I’M NOT GONNA STOP! It doesn’t matter how big they are. It doesn’t matter who they are. I will not stop until I get my hands on you and you release me from my contract!” MJF says everyone can just settle down. Let’s get this straight: Wardlow wants to get after MJF and to get his release, right? Fans chant “Wardlow’s gonna kill~ you!” at MJF. MJF says no! How would Wardlow feel if he and MJF had a match? And if Wardlow wins, he’s out of his contract with MJF. The fans wanna see it? “YES!” They wanna see it?! “YES!” Well then Wardlow’s on! But but but… MJF has some conditions. Of course he does.
MJF will give us these conditions in a contract signing. And MJF will assure us that it won’t happen in some dump like this! MJF is going to wait for when AEW is in “the most magical place in the world known as Long Island, New York!” MJF tosses the mic and waits until he has homefield advantage. But will that matter when Wardlow’s wrath is coming for his head?
Tony Schiavone interviews Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, Toni Storm & Ruby Soho.
Yet again, no physicality will happen backstage. But these four will make some history as their tag match opens Rampage, the first time Rampage has opened with a women’s match. Britt makes sure Schiavone refers to her as “Doctor Baker.” And she tells Hayter they clearly missed the memo to wear matching black pleather tank tops, all in mocking Storm & Soho. But c’mon, Schiavone. Every single page of the AEW history book has something about Britt Baker, so this Rampage opener only makes sense. You might as well call her Dr. Britt Baker, the History Maker. Hayter says that has such a good ring to it.
But Ruby says she cannot listen to Britt talk for one more second! Ruby doesn’t remember when anyone agreed to no physicality, but just know that Storm can’t wait to get at Hayter in the Owen Hart opening round. And Soho tells Britt that there’s a receipt coming. Soho & Storm are counting down the minutes until 5:30 Eastern on Friday when they can humble these two like they need so bad. And if Britt’s waiting for them to leave, “Bitch, we ain’t going nowhere.” Well they’re not leaving! What are they gonna do? Hit them? Schiavone wants them to keep the peace, and throws it to commercial.
AEW returns with Tony Schiavone in the ring.
Schiavone says that on May 29th, live on PPV, AEW Double or Nothing returns, and in the main event will be the AEW Heavyweight Champion of the World, HANGMAN PAGE! Fans fire up as the Cowboy makes his way out to the ring, pyro following him. Schiavone says Hangman is defending against CM Punk, who we heard from a week ago. Hangman’s response? “It would be real easy for me to come out here and say how much I love CM Punk, and how much I respect him. It’d be real easy to tell ya how much I look forward to shaking his hand in this ring, how much I look forward to standing across this ring from the Best in the World at Double or Nothing.”
And it’d be real, real easy for Hangman to tell us how much he’s looking forward to having an all time classic with CM Punk for the AEW World Championship. It’d be real, real easy… But that won’t happen. “At Double or Nothing, there’s not going to be a handshake. At Double or Nothing, there’s not going to be a masturbatory Bret Hart tribute match. I am going to destroy C M Punk!” Fans are torn on that proclamation, but plenty of fans chant for Punk. Hangman sees them out there with the shirts. They need to look Hangman in the eyes as he says this: from the bottom of Hangman’s heart, when he is done with Punk, those fans will be getting refunds, if they haven’t already burned those damn things.
Hangman hates to be the bearer of bad news, but as champion, it is his responsibility to tell us that the beloved Punk is not here tonight. And if Hangman were a betting man, and he sure is one, Punk is probably filming some other TV show. How ironic. But Punk, wherever you are, Hangman wants you to hear everything he is saying: “I am going to embarrass you! You said that you wanted a fight? Well you’ve got one. And Punk, it will be the fight of your life!” Hangman throws down the mic while throwing down the gauntlet! Will the Best in the World be ready for some serious #CowboyShit?
Konosuke Takeshita makes his Rampage debut!
The DDT Pro star has had big moments in AEW already, from The House Always Wins last year to Dark and Elevation this last week. But will Konosuke go on a Rampage and come out the winner?
Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt & Satnam Singh are laughing backstage.
Lethal says that video package for Konosuke was “cute,” and Sonjay says AEW is rolling out the red carpet for all these international stars. But what about for the greatest pro-wrestler from India, Satnam Singh? The one in a billion seven footer! Or for Sonjay and Lethal? Lethal is the longest reigning ROH World Television Champion ever! Where’s his red carpet? As for Konosuke, this isn’t even his fault. This is AEW’s fault! Lethal will prove AEW is backing the wrong horse! And on that special early Rampage, it’ll be Konosuke VS Lethal! Lethal will show us what a real international star is capable of! He’ll get that red carpet whether we like it or not!

The Jericho Appreciation Society tried to break Proud ‘n’ Powerful, but they might’ve burned Eddie Kingston and done permanent damage! Will Santana make sure to do some serious damage to the Influencer in return? Or will “the All Elite Wizard” have another dangerous trick up his sleeve?
Fans sing Judas as the JAS approach ringside, and then Santana DIVES onto Jericho and Matt Menard! They go down while the rest freak out, and Santana rains down fists on Jericho! Ortiz dares the JAS to do something, and Santana drags Jericho around by his jacket. Santana stomps Jericho, stands him up and CHOPS him. Santana follows Jericho around the way, throws haymakers, but Jericho hits back. Santana CHOPS again, then follows Jericho around to whip him into railing! Fans fire up, Ortiz watches the JAS, and Santana gets the steel steps. Santana positions it but Jericho CLUBS Santana.
Jericho brings Santana around to ram into railing. Jericho commandeers a camera, but Santana flips him off first! Then BOOTS Jericho down! Santana says, “Not today, papi!” Santana CHOPS Jericho, but Jericho uses Aubrey as a shield. Aubrey reprimands, gets away, and Santana BOOTS Jericho down! Santana drags Jericho up, smacks him off the steel steps, then pushes him into the ring. Santana tosses Jericho’s jacket away, then he gets in the ring. The bell rings to make this a match, and Menard grabs at Santana! Ortiz grabs Menard and Santana elbows Jericho away. Ortiz shoves Menard away and Menard says there’s no problem.

Aubrey also checks Santana, and somehow he’s okay to continue. Jericho gloats and the JAS cheer him on, and then Jericho flips the fans off. Santana drags himself up the steps but Jericho goes out to fetch him. The JAS shout at Ortiz, Jericho SMACKS Santana off the steps, then Jericho stands on the steps to soak up all the heat. Santana gets in the ring, and Jericho makes a big deal out of jumping from steps to apron. Jericho pretends to be Super Mario or something here as he jumps around. Then Jericho rains down furious fists on Santana! Jericho drags Santana up, reels him in, and hits a BIG back suplex!
Jericho takes a moment to catch his breath and soak up heat. He mocks the fans rallying for Santana, but Santana flips Jericho off. Jericho slaps Santana, Santana slaps Jericho! Jericho stomps Santana but Santana throws body shots. Jericho fires off forearms, then whips Santana to a corner to hit a clothesline! Jericho hoists Santana up top, CHOPS him, but Santana SLAPS back! Jericho distracts the ref, claiming he got hit in the eye, and Garcia shoves Santana off the top! Jericho pushes Santana down and chokes him while throwing down hands! Aubrey counts, Jericho stops, only to ROPE GUILLOTINE Santana!
Santana sputters and writhes while Aubrey reprimands Jericho. Jericho goes out to the apron to stomp and scuff Santana. Jericho then brings Santana to a corner, ROCKS him with a forearm, then climbs up top. Dynamite returns to single picture and Jericho jumps, into Santana’s dropkick! Both men are down and fans rally up. Jericho gets back up, he brings Santana up in a corner and CHOPS him. And CHOPS again. And CHOPS again! Jericho chokes but Santana turns things around to throw haymakers! Santana whips, Jericho reverses and Santana hits buckles. Jericho runs but Santana denies him the bulldog by THROWING him into the corner!

WALLS OF JERICHO! Santana endures as Jericho sits deep! Ortiz coaches Santana, he powers up and reaches out, but Menard is pulling the ropes back! Santana still gets the ROPEBREAK! Also, the key to their hearts. What does this mean, though? Billy says it means to stick it in, boys! They scissor with fingers! But no, not the real scissors, Max! That’s nuts! But will this new alliance make everyone love the Acclaimed and Gunn Club?
The Varsity Blonds are in the ring!

Fans cheer the Baltimore Ravens’ coach as he is here in person.
BPJ says this quote has been with him his entire life. “Attack each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.” But John, BPJ would be lying if he said he didn’t lose sight of that. He got comfortable, complacent, and the Blonds lost that enthusiasm. That’s when the greed and malice crept in and drove them apart. But BPJ is here to tell us that today is a new day, and he is feeling gaddamn enthusiastic! He’s fired up about protecting the one thing that made them whole! He’s fired up about keeping the Blonds together! Ladies and gentlemen, the Varsity Blonds want to fight the House of Black in Baltimore!
The lights go out because they’re getting what they wanted! The eerie light shines behind the back of Malakai Black. Brody King and Buddy Matthews emerge from the shadows and follow their dark leader to the ring. And they surround BPJ and Griff! Julia hides in the corner, but no one makes a move. BPJ and Griff don’t get it, and then the brawling begins! The numbers are in the House of Black’s advantage, Brody fires off on Griff in a corner while Malakai BOOTS BPJ into Buddy’s tilt-o-whirl and LAWN DART into Griff! BPJ tumbles out, Brody CANNONBALLS Griff! Julia can only watch as Griff is put before Malakai.
But then Malakai stares at Julia. Julia is shivering in fear, but then Buddy helps her step forward. Brody holds out a chair and fans chant, “House of Black!” Brody stomps Griff to keep him down as Julia takes the chair! Julia raises the chair, and Griff begs for mercy! But she can’t do it! She drops the chair while starting to sob! Malakai storms up on Julia and rips away the eyepatch! He tells her to finish the transformation! But here comes DEATH TRIANGLE! Pac, Fenix and Penta rush in and run the House of Black off! Alex Abrahantes makes sure Julia is okay, but will she ever be okay?

Jade Cargill, undefeated, 30-0, still the TBS Champion.” Then last week, the world is talking about their trios debut. And then Red Velvet is also in the Owen Hart Cup! Great job! Thank you, Mark, that’s very sweet. Not only did Velvet qualify, but she’s gonna win the whole damn thing! Of course! And that’ll make two champions within The Baddies. The introductions are being made but Death Triangle is still helping Julia. She seems to have calmed down and takes her leave. Dante makes his entrance and gets in the ring with Fenix. The bell rings and fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, Fenix backs Dante down but Dante powers his way back. Fenix turns things around to put Dante on ropes, then lets off as the ref counts. Dante pushes Fenix but Fenix rolls. Fenix runs in but Dante goes up and over! Fenix rewinds, Dante ducks the kick and kicks back. Danite whips, Fenix reverses and DROPKICKS Dante out! Fans fire up and Fenix goes up the corner to tightrope CROSSBODY! Direct hit!
Fans fire up and Fenix puts Dante in as Dynamite goes picture in picture. Fenix fires up, he springboards, but Dante kips up so Fenix bails out of the 450. The two stare down and fans fire up again. Dante rushes in but Fenix pops him up into a Gory Especial, only for Dante to arm-drag and Dragon’s Lair! ONE and Fenix has a ghost pin! TWO, Dante cradles, TWO, and Fenix sunset flips! TWO, Dante sits on the pin, TWO! Fenix spins around on the mat but Dante jackknife bridges, TWO!! Fenix manages to escape, and he has Dante down with a facelock while fans rally. Fenix drags Dante up, turns him, Gory Especial for the GORY- SUNSET FLIP! TWO!
Dante gets up, dodges and RANAS Fenix away! Fenix steadies himself in the corner, but he comes back, only for Dante to jump over him! Fenix can’t help but chuckle at Dante’s agility, and then he shows his own. Dante shoves Fenix, and hurdles him back! This is becoming a oneupsmanship about high jumps! Fenix rushes in again, they RAM shoulders, and then they come back to each try and hurdle! Dante bops Fenix in the air, then hops on for a DESTROYER! Fans are fired up as Fenix flops out of the ring! Dante builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit at the ramp! Dante is fired up now and he gets Fenix up.

Dante goes up the ropes but Fenix shoves him away! Dante lands on his feet, Fenix GAMANGIRIS! Fenix slingshots for a clinch, but Dante fights the bomb! Fenix tries again, to give Dante a POP-UP CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Dante is still in this, fans hope they “Fight Forever!” but this has to end somehow! And it was… I fought hard to defend and retain this title against Nyla Rose in Texas. I love you, too.” But guys, when she first came to AEW, she came with no expectations. She just wanted to elevate Women’s Wrestling. Little did she know that she’d become a bloodline and backbone of the division.
She carried a heavy weight for a long time. But with a lot of hard work, she was able to become who she is today. And she was even able to elevate a division that some continue to criticize. Today, she can tell us with confidence that she IS La Mera Mera of AEW! She is the top competitor among some of the best. And as such, she wants to take on the best and the most experienced. Which brings us to another story. Before she was Thunder Rosa, she went along California’s coast just to see one wrestler an done wrestler only. The one that inspired her to become the best version of herself. And with that said, Rosa wants to call out the #1 contender: Serena Deeb!
The Professor of Pro-Wrestling makes her way out! Deeb solidified her spot as the #1 contender after defeating Hikaru Shida in that Philly Street Fight. And Deeb says it’s been a long time for these two. Deeb’s watched Rosa scratch and claw her way to the top, and she has earned where she is right now. Deeb respects Rosa. Well, thank you. But y’know what? Deeb truly believes that these two can make this the best Women’s Division in the world! Rosa agrees and so do the fans. But… In order for that to happen, the best woman wrestler has to be champion. Well, what is Deeb saying? Doesn’t she see that this title MAKES Rosa the best woman wrestler?
Deeb says sure, Rosa is champion, that suggests Rosa is the best. But to be real, everyone is thinking but no one wants to say. Everyone knows deep down, from the fans to the wrestlers to the coaches! Deeb is on another level! Deeb is in a class all her own! And it’s about time Deeb has a title to show it. Oh? You wanna place a bet? Sure. Deeb places a bet that Rosa is about to have the shortest reign in AEW history! At Double or Nothing, Deeb takes Rosa’s championship! See you in Vegas! Undisputed ROH Women’s World Championship Match: Deonna Purrazzo VS Mercedes Martinez!
Speaking of championships, the Virtuosa is not impressed with the OG Badass being just an “interim” champion. But Mercedes still had to earn becoming interim champion like any other champion! Will Mercedes also earn the right to be THE champion in ROH? Or will Deonna deny Mercedes and stand alone as the one true Woman of Honor?
The introductions are made by Bobby Cruz, both belts are raised, and only one leaves Baltimore with both!
Deonna refuses the Code of Honor but Mercedes shrugs that off. They circle, fans rally and duel, and the two tie up. They go around, break, and Deonna grins as she and Mercedes reset. They tie up again, are in another deadlock, but Deonna wrenches the arm and wristlocks. Mercedes rolls then wrenches Deonna back, and fans rally up more. Deonna powers through and headlocks, then grinds Mercedes. Mercedes fights up, puts Deonna in a corner, but lets off as the ref counts. Deonna shoos Mercedes and the two reset again. They tie up, go around, and Mercedes puts Deonna back in a corner.
The ref counts the break, Mercedes lets off slowly, but Deonna avoids the chop! Mercedes avoids Deonna’s chop, and the two get forehead to forehead. Fans fire up and Deonna shoves Mercedes. Mercedes shoves back, they go again, feeling out the knuckle lock. Deonna wrenches to have a wristlock, then she gets the arm between her legs to TWEAK it! Mercedes goes to a corner while Deonna struts about and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Deonna storms up on Mercedes and stomps a mudhole into her. The ref counts, Deonna digs her boot in but lets off at 4. Deonna brings Mercedes up to ROCK her with a forearm, then ROCK her again. Mercedes goes back to a corner, Deonna brings her up to reel her in for a short arm LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Deonna is annoyed but Mercedes clutches the bad arm as she goes to ropes. Deonna stalks Mercedes, toys with her, but Mercedes throws body shots and haymakers! Deonna flounders, Mercedes stands her up to CHOP her down. Mercedes stands Deonna up to CLUB her, too, then stomp her at ropes.
Deonna goes to the apron, Mercedes follows her out, but Deonna wrenches the bad arm to wrap around the ropes! The ref counts but Deonna wrenches that arm before letting off at 4. Deonna then hops down to drag Mercedes into the corner, and she SLAMS the arm against the post! Mercedes writhes and drags herself up. Deonna is after Mercedes with forearms, then gets space. Mercedes blocks the boot to SPEAR Deonna onto the apron! Mercedes flops down and shakes out the bad arm while Deonna writhes on the apron. Deonna drops off, goes after Mercedes, and she throws forearms. Mercedes hits back, and they brawl right at ringside!
Mercedes gets the edge, CHOPS, then whips. But Deonna reverses to POST Mercedes! Deonna crawls away while the ring count is climbing. Dynamite returns to single picture and the count is 17 of 20! Both women get in at 19! Fans fire up and Deonna is furious! Deonna and Mercedes crawl towards the other, and the forearms start flying! They go back and forth, over and over, but Deonna shoves. Mercedes CLOBBERS Deonna! Mercedes rallies, and SAIDOS! Deonna flounders to a corner, Mercedes gets her bad arm moving, BIG clothesline in the corner! Mercedes runs side to side and BOOTS Deonna down! Then she goes again, HESITATION DROPKICK! Cover, TWO!
Fans rally up while Mercedes gets back to her feet. Mercedes scuffs Deonna, drags her up, and fires off forearms. Mercedes ROCKS Deonna, whips, but Deonna reverses to a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP, into the FUJIWARA! Mercedes gets up, rolls away, but Deonna BOOTS her down! STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Deonna is growing frustrated that Mercedes is still in this. Deonna drags Mercedes up, reels her in, but Mercedes back drops the piledriver away! Deonna sunset flips but Mercedes rolls through to KNEE Deonna down! Mercedes drags Deonna up, FISHERMAN BUSTER! Cover, TWO!!

Mercedes then hooks the legs, SLAPS Deonna and gets the arms again, DRAGON SLEEPER SURFBOARD! But Deonna BITES the arm!! So Mercedes BITES Deonna’s head!! DRAGON SLEEPER!! Deonna taps, Mercedes wins!!

Interim no more, the OG Badass is THE ONE AND ONLY! She made the Virtuosa tap out, so Deonna shakes Mercedes’ hand. With as hard as she fought to become champion, how much harder will Mercedes fight to stay champion?
My Thoughts:
A great episode for Dynamite here, and what a great main event. Deonna and Mercedes gave us a great match, and a great moment for Mercedes to come out the winner. Thunder Rosa also had a very good promo segment with Serena Deeb to set up their title match, but also to confront the criticism of the AEW Women’s Division. The irony is, I don’t think people say AEW has a weak women’s division. They just don’t show it off enough. But getting to close out the night was a great move, as is the women’s tag match for Rampage. A good part of the promo from Britt, Hayter, Ruby and Toni is that the Faces were fed up with just having promos. The tag match is going to be a lot of fun, as will the Owen Hart Cup matches.
Speaking of, the men’s qualifiers from tonight were awesome stuff. We got a great opening with Jeff VS Fish, as well as Cole on commentary. Jeff winning makes a lot of sense, since the Undisputed Elite can’t just fill up the bracket. Plus, Jeff VS Darby is going to be awesome for the opening round. Bucks coming out to tease a tag match in AEW with the Hardys was also great, because that’ll be awesome stuff. Dante VS Fenix was just incredible with the innovation and the agility, and Fenix winning also makes sense. Fenix VS Kyle is going to be a great clash of styles match. And I can’t wait to see who the joker/wild card will be, they’ll give Joe a great match.
Joe has a really good promo to respond to Lethal and his team talking trash on Konosuke. I’d be a little disappointed if Lethal was the joker, and not someone from NJPW. And with Kyle and Cole on opposite ends of the bracket, I would love if AEW gave us Kyle VS Cole as a way to reference NXT but also put some tension within the Undisputed Elite. Really good segment out of Varsity Blonds and House of Black, and they really dangled that Julia Hart turn in front of us. Death Triangle going after House of Black was good, though, and I bet we get some more matches before Julia gives into that dark side and joins House of Black.
We got a good segment out of Gunn Club and Acclaimed to create a sorta super group. But this is totally falling apart as soon as they lose and one side blames the other. Good promo from The Baddies, though not much development. Very good promos from Team Taz and Jurassic Express, and I was hoping the FTW Championship would come into this. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland also have a good promo to remind Team Taz that they’re not done with each other. I feel like Team Taz cheats to keep the FTW title on Starks, but then maybe Keith & Swerve find a way to keep Team Taz from getting the tag titles, setting up a tag title blow-off for Double or Nothing.
A great promo from William Regal, and a great trios match from the Blackpool Combat Club. I kinda want BCC to feud with the AFO to keep building up that trios record. They can take all sorts of combinations, from Private Party and Angelico to Private Party and Blade, and eventually Andrade gets added to the mix. Though, with NJPW’s BOSJ coming up, they may have to pull back a bit on trios matches since Yuta will be participating and that obviously means being away in Japan. But Moxley and Bryan can still feud 2v2 with Private Party, Butcher & Blade, and… Oh, well, no The Hybrid2 since AEW let Jack Evans go…
Great match out of Jericho VS Santana, but of course the JAS cheats to help Jericho win. Fans wanted Eddie Kingston but of course he didn’t show up, he’s still recovering from the fireball. But surely Kingston will be back before Double or Nothing, and maybe with reinforcements. I’d love a 10 Man Tag for Double or Nothing. And then a great promo from Hangman because you’d think this was a Heel turn, but it’s really just him upping things with Punk. Punk VS Silver is going to be good next week but of course Punk will win. Hangman VS Punk is going to be great stuff, and there’s a chance Punk does win the title. But it won’t hurt Hangman that much since it is CM Punk.

Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?
The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. The fans boo, Bravo headlocks, but Briscoe powers up, out, and headlocks in return. Bravo powers up and out but Briscoe RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Briscoe runs. Bravo drops down, hurdles, but Briscoe hits a crane stance! Bravo says that’s stupid! But Briscoe ducks Bravo’s punch to UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Bravo reverses to ROCK Briscoe! The forearms go back and forth, Briscoe fires a flurry, but Bravo CLAWS Briscoe’s face!
Bravo runs, but Briscoe winds up to UPPERCUT! The fans cheer the Redneck Kung-Fu! Lee tags in and hits his tiger stance. But then Kyle calls to Briscoe, and Briscoe tags Kyle! The fans cheer as Kyle and Lee tie up, go around, and Kyle wrenches. Lee wrenches, slips through, and waistlocks. They go around, Lee switches but Kyle has the arm. Kyle arm-drags Lee down, double wristlock, but Lee fights around. Kyle body scissors, rolls to the cover, TWO! The fans fire up as the two go again, knuckle lock, and Lee headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, Lee goes up and around, but Kyle does the same to slide under.
Lee ducks a kick, then wheelbarrows to victory roll, then EURO CLUTCH! TWO! Kyle is up, Lee backs off, and the fans cheer the exchange. Lee points to Nigel McGuinness, wanting him to remember the Euro Clutch did him in the last time they faced off. Kyle storms up on Lee, Lee headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Lee RUNS Kyle, keeps moving, but Kyle drops down. Lee sunset flips but Kyle stays up! Kyle shakes his head, drops down into the ARMBAR, but here comes The Infantry! Briscoe & Cassidy intercept Dean & Bravo, fire off hands in corners, and Kyle shifts to an ANKLE LOCK! But Lee reels Kyle into a headlock.
Briscoe & Cassidy TOSS The Infantry, then go out after them. Lee waistlocks, Kyle fires elbows, and Kyle climbs up in the corner. The fans count along as Kyle goes all the way to TEN! Tag to Briscoe, he climbs up, and he rains down fists! Briscoe goes all the way to TEN, then he tags Cassidy! The fans fire up again as Cassidy winds up, climbs up, and rains down ONE! The fans cheer Cassidy while Lee stumbles. Lee tags Dean, and now The Captain steps to Cassidy. Dean says go ahead, put the hands in the pockets. Cassidy says okay, and he raises his hands, to then slowly, slowly, put them in his pockets!
The fans cheer as Cassidy then ducks ‘n’ dodges Dean, and still arm-drags Dean away! Dean runs up, Cassidy drops down to MONKEY FLIP! Then Cassidy kips up! The fans fire up, but Bravo storms in and whips him to a corner. Cassidy goes up, out, and ducks Bravo to bump him off buckles! Dean tries, but Cassidy bumps him off buckles! Bravo tries again, he just gets buckles! Dean tries again, he just gets buckles! The fans fire up as Cassidy climbs, but Lee trips him up! The fans boo while Cassidy falls to the mat, but the ref has to keep Kyle & Briscoe from going after Lee! The Infantry flanks Cassidy, but Cassidy bobs n’ weaves to dodge the shots!
Cassidy tries again, but the CARLIE CROSSOVER hits, then a feed to the SLINGSHOT SPEAR! Lee drags Cassidy to the apron, the ref is still distracted, Shane Taylor hits a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans boo but STP has taken control while Collision goes to picture in picture!
Lee drags Cassidy up, puts him in the ring, and Dean covers, TWO! Dean drags Cassidy up, whips him to ropes, then BODY BLOWS! Cassidy falls in a heap but Dean soaks up heat. Dean stomps Cassidy, drags him up, then bumps him off buckles. Dean tags Bravo to send him in for the SPLASH! Dean adds a SPLASH, then scoops while Bravo goes up, KNEE DROP SIDEWALK SLAM COMBO! Cover, Briscoe breaks it! Bravo is upset, but he CLUBS Cassidy. Cassidy fights the suplex, Bravo CLUBS him again and again, then suplexes through! Cover, TWO! Cassidy toughs it out but Bravo drags Cassidy over to the corner.
Dean tags in, The Infantry stomps away on Cassidy, but the ref counts. Dean stops to kneel on Cassidy, then steps off again. Cassidy throws “shots” on the leg, but Dean stomps Cassidy down! Dean then BLASTS Briscoe & Kyle! The ref reprimands but that just lets Bravo CHOKE Cassidy! The ref reprimands Bravo now as Collision returns to single picture. Dean asks, “Is this camera on me? B! B! C!” BRONCO BUSTER CAPTAIN! Dean bounces, Bravo says if you see Cap in that corner, yo’ ass is a goner! Dean drags Cassidy up, tags Bravo, and Dean sends Bravo in for the SPLASH! Then feed to Dean, but Cassidy tilt-o-whirl DDTS!
The fans fire up but Bravo hurries to anchor a foot! Cassidy reaches out, reaches out, but Bravo drags him back! Cassidy BOOTS Bravo away, Lee tags in, and Lee BOOTS Briscoe down! The fans boo but Cassidy swings! Lee blocks the lariat to wrench Cassidy into the COBRA TWIST! The fans boo, the ref keeps Kyle back, and STP links up on the twist! Four men strong and they make Cassidy suffer! The ref sees that, Dean lets go to defend his innocence, but that causes him to fall onto Bravo! Cassidy powers up to HIP TOSS free! Hot tag to Kyle! Kyle BOOTS Lee, KICKS him, then fires off a strike fest! LEG SWEEP!
Lee flounders to a corner but Kyle runs up to forearm SMASH! Kyle wrenches and ELBOW BREAKERS, then cravats for some knees! Snapmare and a PENALTY KICK! Cover, TWO! ARMBAR! The Infantry attacks Kyle! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Bravo drags Lee to safety. Bravo tags in, then he tags Dean. Bravo jukes around Kyle, lifts him up, BACK SUPLEX NECKBREAKER COMBO! Cover, TWO! Kyle survives but Bravo runs up! Kyle ELBOWS Bravo away, BOOTS Dean, then goes up! FLYING KNEE for Dean, LARIAT for Bravo! The fans fire up again because Chicken is rising! Kyle crawls, hot tags to Briscoe and Lee!
Briscoe fires off JAB after JAB on Lee, then whips, but Lee grabs ropes. Lee BOOTS back, runs up, but Briscoe dodges! FLYING FOREARM! The Infantry is back, but Briscoe dodges Bravo to ROCK Dean! Briscoe CHOPS Bravo, then repeat! Dean slips around, but Briscoe BOOTS Bravo away! Then Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Dean falls out of the ring, Briscoe reels Bravo in! Briscoe underhooks but Bravo fights free! Bravo whips but Briscoe WRECKS Dean with a dropkick! Then he RAMS Bravo and DUMPS him out! Cassidy DIVES to hit Lee! Briscoe gets a chair! The fans fire up as the chair is set up, and Briscoe runs, only for Shane to stand in the way!

“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?

Lexy Nair congratulates them on their win tonight, and brings up that Moxley has accepted Kyle’s challenge. Kyle says yes, Moxley is right, Kyle has his number. But facing Moxley has been the biggest test of Kyle’s career, so what’s one more test? This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Cassidy says Willow needs to say something.
Willow says sure, okay. Great job, guys, really. But for her, Double or Nothing, it will be TRIPLE or nothing, because she has THIS bad boy, the TBS Championship! But she’s also coming for The Owen, and the World Championship! As for tonight, Red Velvet may have beaten Willow to qualify for The Owen, but that won’t happen tonight. Welcome back to AEW, time to meet the Comeback Killer. Lexy says by the way, that match is next. Willow fires up, hurries off to make her entrance, but will she be ready to cook with The Chef?
AEW TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale VS Red Velvet!
Before making her entrance, the ROH Women’s World TV Champion tells Willow, “The Comeback Killer,” that she’s still salty that Willow is in The Owen and Velvet is not. Tonight, she takes out all her frustrations every time she stirs it up and punches Willow in the face. Yeah, Velvet beat Willow before. And in fact, she’ll beat Willow for that TBS title right now!
The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see if The Babe with The Power is still the Face of TBS!
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, Willow powers Velvet to a corner, and the ref counts. Willow backs off, and she flexes as she fires the fans up. The two reset, tie up, and Willow SHOVES Velvet away. Velvet is frustrated as she comes back and resets with Willow again. Velvet then slips around Willow, waistlocks, but Willow wrenches out. Velvet wrenches back, top wristlocks, but Willow stays up. Velvet kicks and TRIPS Willow, then steps over to LEG DROP on the arm scissor! The fans rally as Willow rolls and stacks Velvet, TWO! Willow gut wrenches, but Velvet slips through! Willow ducks, but the superkick still scuffs her!
Willow says okay, okay, and she resets with Velvet. The fans rally behind Willow as she offers a handshake. Velvet accepts, but then arm- NO! Willow stops the arm-drag, and the next one, then whips Velvet to RUN her over! Willow fires up, the fans cheer, and things keep moving. Velvet runs up to CALF KICK! Willow flounders to a corner and Velvet storms up on her. Velvet fires body shots, then stomps Willow down. The ref counts but Velvet does the splits as she digs her boot in! The fans are torn but Willow pushes the foot away. Velvet runs back up, but Willow dodges to LARIAT again and again! The fans count all the way to TEN!
Willow short arm- NO, Velvet ducks the shot, but Willow ELBOWS her! Willow fireman’s carries, Velvet sunset flips, but Velvet avoids the hip drop! Ghost pin, TWO! Willow FISHERMAN SUPLEXES! A deep bridge, TWO! Not quite perfect but Willow shrugs that off. Willow runs, but Velvet avoids the senton! Velvet hurries to STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Velvet snarls while Willow bails out. Velvet pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Willow! Velvet DOUBLE CHOPS Willow, then CLUBS away on Willow! Velvet reels Willow in, talks trash on the fans, but Willow suplexes instead! Willow stalls then SLAMS Velvet on the floor!
The fans cheer as Willow flexes and high-fives, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Willow drags Velvet up, puts her in the ring, then CLUBS her on the back. Willow stands Velvet up but Velvet fires hands. Willow CLUBS Velvet again, then scoops to SLAM! Willow pushes Velvet down to SENTON! Cover, TWO! Velvet toughs it out but Willow stirs it up. Willow stands Velvet up to CHOP, Velvet CHOPS back, but Willow ROCKS her! Fireman’s carry, AIRPLANE SPIN! Willow goes around and around, then back the other way! Willow then SAMOAN DROPS! Willow says that’s how you stir it up! Cover, TWO! Velvet survives but Willow reels her into a KOJI KLUTCH! Velvet endures, even as Willow puts on the pressure, and Collision goes to break!
Collision returns as Willow has Velvet in a corner. Willow runs corner to corner, but Velvet slips to the outside! Willow ROCKS Velvet first, then goes outside to fireman’s carry! But Velvet fights free! Velvet ROCKS Willow, Willow ROCKS Velvet, and Velvet sits down! Willow fires the fans up, then lines up her shot. Velvet stands up, Willow runs, but Velvet dodges! Cannonball crashes ‘n’ burns!! Willow writhes and clutches her back, but she’s somehow still in this! A ring count starts, Velvet rolls in before 3, but Willow rises up at 5. Willow hobbles her way over, rolls into the ring, but Velvet SUPERKICKS her down! Cover, TWO!
The fans rally as Velvet brings Willow up. Willow shoves Velvet, Velvet counter punches! And counter punches! Velvet fires a flurry, but Willow slips around to waistlock. The fans fire up as Velvet dragon sleepers, STRAIGHT OUT THE- NO! Willow stops Velvet to POWERSLAM through! The fans fire up as Willow gut wrenches, BABE WITH THE POWER- RANA! Velvet puts Willow back on ropes, and DOUBLE KNEES again! Velvet snaps Willow back, but Willow is up! Wheelbarrow and- FULL NELSON SLAM! Cover, TWO!! Velvet survives but Willow keeps on her. Willow ROCKS Velvet, Velvet ROCKS Willow, repeat! Willow rebounds to LARIAT! Both women are down again and the fans fire back up! Velvet rolls away to a corner, but Willow rises up! Red Velvet brought the fire, but she couldn’t cook Willow! Willow is now rolling towards Double or Nothing and her match with Alex Windsor, but will she then head for her second Owen Hart Cup win?

Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”

Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Or is this one Collision Darby will not walk away from?

Tommaso Ciampa is CHOKING Mark Briscoe out! The Psycho Killer SMACKS Briscoe off road cases, and says how dare Briscoe call him out! Their brawl now moves onto the stage! The fans boo as Ciampa fires hands on Briscoe as they go down the ramp! Ciampa whips, Briscoe reverses, and Ciampa hits barriers hard! Briscoe stomps away on Ciampa, the fans fire up, and Briscoe whips Ciampa into more barriers! Briscoe throws a chair into the ring, then he drags Ciampa up and in. Ciampa bails out, but Briscoe DIVES! Down goes Ciampa, and Briscoe just throws another chair into the ring! Briscoe CLUBS away on Ciampa, then brings him up.
Ciampa BODY SHOTS, but Briscoe sends Ciampa into the steel steps! Briscoe puts Ciampa in the ring, stomps him, then positions the chairs. Briscoe reels Ciampa in, underhooks, but Ciampa fights the lift! Ciampa then LOW BLOWS Briscoe! The fans boo but Ciampa just scowls. Ciampa then grabs a chair, and he SMACKS Briscoe on the back! Briscoe writhes, the fans boo, but Ciampa just stalks Briscoe to a corner. Ciampa DIGS a chair into Briscoe’s bad shoulder! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up heat. Ciampa then brings Briscoe up, bumps him off buckles, and hoists him up top. Ciampa CHOPS, Briscoe sputters, but Ciampa gets the chairs!
Ciampa wants to recreate what put Briscoe on the shelf the past month! Ciampa JAMS Briscoe up with a chair first before putting it side-by-side with the other. Ciampa then climbs up, soaks up heat, and vows to end Briscoe once and for all! But then Kyle & Cassidy rush out here! Now, if they both win their matches, that pits them against teach other in the semifinals. But what they also needs to talk about is last night, Supercard of Honor, Bandido retained the title, only for Swerve to attack. Brody tells Swerve that he warned him about what would happen if Swerve messed with the people Brody cared about! Next time Brody sees Swerve, he’ll- Bandido stops Brody there, and says no, no, hermano. Bandido loves you, but this is Bandido’s battle, and Brody needs to respect that.
So Bandido tells Swerve that this is a battle Swerve will not win! Swerve may be the Most Dangerous, but Bandido is the Most Wanted! And after Double or Nothing when Bandido beats Swerve, Swerve won’t be a danger to anyone anymore! Both sides of Brodido have spoken, but will either of them knock down Swerve’s House? They are on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Tournament, this has gotta be a tough one. Athena says maybe, maybe not, but the facts are this: Athena has been the ROH Women’s World Champion for over 1252 DAYS, and has left of dozens of bodies in her wake. Pretty sure Mina’s one of them. Mina says last year at All In, Athena broke Mina’s hand. Athena says so what! Last year at Death Before Dishonor, she kicked Mina’s ass all over the arena! Why does Mina think this match will be any different?
Mina laughs and says last night at Supercard, when she locked in the Figure Four on her opponent, she dreamt it was Athena. Athena says Mina is dreaming of her! So flattered! But she hopes Mina has the best dream tonight: Mina’s dead body in a ditch, next to her precious Toni Storm! Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. They argue, but Lexy keeps them from getting physical! Will the Fallen Goddess be unstoppable even in AEW? Or will The Owen will be about #MinaNow?

Nigel appreciates that, that’s what he wants to talk about. Specifically, what happened between Lio and his former tag team partner, Action Andretti. Action cost Lio the ROH World TV Championship, what is Lio’s response? Lio says it’s all fine! It’s fine! These things happen, Nigel. Losses happen, friends get upset. It’s fine. It’s fine. Lio keeps saying that, and Nigel says that is the official response. Lio again says it’s good to see Nigel.
But then Lio takes off his sunglasses to show off those creepy eyes. He smiles, and that black goo drools out… Lio continues to say it’s fine, but is it anything but fine? Or should Action learn to sleep with one eye open?

The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! Sammy puts the belt aside, the bell rings, and Sammy KNEES Darby right outta the ring! Sammy THROWS Darby into railing, THROWS him in again, then goes back to his table! Sammy puts the table by the stage, then he drags Darby up. Sammy THROWS Darby into more railing! And more railing!
Sammy grabs a ladder and he brings it over to his table! The ref reprimands, there are no count outs but there are still disqualifications! The ref counts, Sammy stops, and Darby coughs and sputters again. Sammy has the legs, he puts Darby under the ring, CATAPULT GUILLOTINE! Darby writhes and coughs again, but Sammy steps out to the apron. Sammy looms over Darby, drags him up by his chain, and Collision returns to single picture. Darby fights the suplex, then blocks a kick to FLIP Sammy! Sammy lands on his feet, but Darby SHOTGUNS Sammy down!
The fans fire up as Darby rises again! Darby has his second wind and he builds speed to DIVE! Into a CUTTER on the floor! Sammy puts Darby back in, Sammy springboards in, but into a REAR NAKED CHOKE!! Darby catches Sammy now and the fans fire up! Sammy flails, reaches out, but Darby pushes him down with his body weight! Sammy still endures, crawls forward, and reaches the ROPEBREAK! Darby lets go and the fans rally up again. Fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow. Darby sees Sammy on the apron, and he goes to the corner! Darby climbs, but Sammy rolls to the far side.
Darby hops down, waits on Sammy to stand, and he runs up, but into an eye poke! Sammy hoe up, and he APRON DOUBLE STOMPS Darby down! Cover, TWO!! Sammy is frustrated but he drags Darby up to the top rope. Sammy climbs up to join Darby, but Darby fights the suplex! They trade body shots, and Darby SHOVES Sammy! Sammy backflips through! Sammy is right back up top, SUPER SPANISH FLY!! Sammy crawls to the cover, TWO! Sammy clutches his knee and grits his teeth. Sammy brings the kneepad down to release some pressure, then stands up. The fans rally as Sammy hobbles over to Darby, but Darby JAWBREAKERS!
Sammy staggers, Darby runs up and fires forearms! The fans fire up as Darby roars and runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Darby wobbles, Sammy runs, but Darby blows past! Springboard and COFFIN SPLASH! The fans fire up again as Darby fires fast hands, RAMS low, then hops on, CODE RED! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and Darby is stunned! The fans rally up as Darby has Sammy in the dragon sleeper! But Sammy fires knees, snapmares free, only for Darby to ELBOW him away! Darby climbs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS the legs! Torture rack and GO TO HOSPITAL! Darby staggers around, but Sammy torture racks again! GO TO HOSPITAL!!
Darby flops down and Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy goes up top, FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO?!?! Sammy has no words, English or Spanish, but Darby flops out of the ring. Sammy goes out after Darby, and he brings out the other table! The fans rally as Sammy brings it over to set up by ringside. Sammy makes sure it is angled just right before he puts Darby on it. The fans boo, but then Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy climbs, reminds us again that he’s loco, and Sammy SUPER 630s only through the table!! Darby avoids disaster, then he puts Sammy back in! COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.
Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.
Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.
Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.
And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.

If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?
The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!
Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands! Cope DECKS Dax, and wait, Christian and Cash are brawling in the crowd! Same for Matt and Connors! Finlay CLAWS Nick’s face, Cassidy ROCKS Dax, and Cassidy whips. Dax reverses, Cassidy goes up and out to then SMACK Dax off buckles! Cassidy goes up, Ciampa BOOTS Nick, and Dax trips Cassidy. Dax CHOPS Cassidy, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans boo but Dax stands Cassidy up, SUPER DUPER PLEX!
Dax then rolls through to suplex again, but Cassidy STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRES! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!
Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!
Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!
The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!
The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.
Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.
But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. But Christian slips around to chicken wing the arms! Dax shoves Christian away, but Christian turns around, NOGGIN KNOCKER! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Cope snarls as he rises up, hot tags to Cope and Connors!
The fans fire up as The Rated R Superstar rallies on everyone! LARIAT for Cash! ELBOW for Dax! Cope TOSSES Finlay out onto Ciampa and Cash! BOOT for Connors! The fans fire up again and Cope goes to a corner. Cope is feeling it, and he aims at Connors. But then Finlay grabs a leg! The fans boo, but Nick SUPERKICKS Finlay! Connors runs up, Nick RAMS him low! Then slingshot FACEBUSTER! And cartwheel ASAI MOONSAULT! COPE-O-SETIC for Connors, TWO! The fans rally as Cope keeps focus on Connors. Cope drags Connors up, whips him to the corner, then Nick runs up! Connors puts Nick out, then he puts Matt out!
But Christian is back, and he coordinates with The Bucks, LARIAT DOUBLE ENZIGIRI on Connors! Then Cassidy somersaults for a “powerful” back elbow! Finlay runs up, Cassidy kicks the legs out! Finlay hits buckles but Ciampa runs up! Christian sends him into Cash, then dragon sleepers Ciampa. Christian sees Dax run up, kicks him low, and gets him in the same hold, DOUBLE REVERSE DDTS! The fans fire up as FTR, Ciampa and Finlay are all in drop zones! “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy, Christian and The Bucks climb the corners. Connors runs up on Cope, but Cope snatches him into a facelock!
Cope acts as air traffic control as he coordinates everyone, QUADRUPLE MACHO ELBOWS before an IMPALER!! Cover, TWO!! Connors survives and the fans can’t believe it! Ciampa and Finlay get up, The Bucks BLAST them, then DIVE! Down they go at ramp side, then Christian and Cassidy bump into each other. The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this the opener! Cassidy puts his hands up, but Christian stops him. Christian shakes his head, but then Cassidy makes Christian put his hands in his pockets! The fans fire up as Christian just THROWS Cassidy out onto FTR! Christian then goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES The Dogs!
Cope calls out a shot, runs, but into a SHATTER MACHINE!! FTR snatches Cope outta nowhere, Connors makes the cover, but Cassidy breaks it! The fans fire up as now FTR has Cassidy surrounded. But Cassidy “unleashes” his kicks! The fans go nuts with every shot, but FTR shoves Cassidy! SHATTER- DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on Cash! Cassidy fights free of Dax, but Dax blocks Nick’s Superkick! Dax sends it into Matt! Nick SUPERKICKS through after all! Finlay clinches, IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER on Nick! Matt feints the kick to DDT! But then Ciampa KNEES Matt down! Christian chicken wings Ciampa, turns him around, KILLSWITCH!
Connors JEEP FLIPS Christian! Connors then stalks Cope while the fans boo. Connors lines up a shot, Cope rises to his feet, Connors runs in! But Cope jumps over Connors’ spear, sending it into Dax! The fans fire up, Stoke freaks out, and The Bucks join Cope in the ring. They TRIPLE SUPERKICK Connors! Cassidy is in, ORANGE PUNCH! SPEAR from Cope!! Cover, C&C Conglomeration Bucks win!

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!
Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Knight staggers, Cage SUPERKICKS him down! “Who betta than Cage?!” The fans fire up as Cage storms up on Knight, stands him up, and bumps him off buckles. Cage RAMS into Knight, stands him up, then RAMS again! The ref counts, Cage CHOPS, and the fans cheer. Bailey rallies the fans but Archer coaches Cage, and Cage whips Knight hard into the corner! The fans are torn as Cage hauls Knight up. Cage ROCKS Knight, CHOPS him, then CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Cage stops at 4, then Cage stalks Knight. Cage stands Knight up, whips him to the corner, then runs in, only for Knight to BOOT! Cage still LARIATS!
Cage hauls Knight up, whips him to ropes, but Knight grabs ropes. Knight DUMPS Cage out, then DROPKICKS him down! Cage sputters, the fans fire up, and Knight builds speed to DIVE! But he bounces off Cage! Cage then fireman’s carries, APRON F5! Knight sputters but Cage goes up the steps to soak up cheers and jeers, all while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Cage refreshes the ring count, drags Knight up again, and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Knight writhes, Cage refreshes the count again, then he whips Knight into barriers! Knight practically falls into the laps of the front row! But Cage brings Knight around to CHOP him down! Cage soaks up the cheers and jeers before he brings Knight around again. Cage SMACKS Knight off the apron, then puts him in the ring. Cage storms into the ring, drags Knight by his legs, and ties the legs up into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Knight endures as Cage sits deep! Knight powers up, fights his way forward, and he reaches to the ROPEBREAK!
The ref counts, Cage lets go at 4, but Cage brings Knight up. Knight CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS, but Cage still doesn’t back down. Knight fires more shots, but Cage UPPERCUTS him down! Cage digs his boot into Knight at the corner, but he stops as the ref counts. Cage drags Knight up, puts him in a corner, and LARIATS! Cage wrenches to then SAIDO Knight away! Knight flounders to the apron, Cage soaks up more cheers and jeers, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Knight rises to fire forearms on Cage, but Cage ROCKS Knight in return! Cage slingshots Knight into a facelock, for a SPIRALING SUPLEX! Cover, TWO!
Knight survives and Cage is frustrated, but Cage decides to write Knight off. Cage drags Knight up, reels him in, and suplexes, DRILL- NO, Knight slips free to waistlock. But Cage ELBOWS Knight, whips, but Knight jumps up! SATELLITE- NO, Cage goes for ropes! Knight HOTSHOTS Cage for it! Then Knight springboards back in, MISSILE DROPKICK! The fans fire up while both men are down! A standing count starts while the fans rally up. Cage goes to a corner but he runs up on Knight. Knight bobs ‘n’ weaves, fires off shots, then fires a flurry of haymakers! But Cage grabs and TOSSES Knight to a corner!
Cage runs up, Knight dodges, and Knight runs back in. Knight ducks ‘n ‘dodges, FLAPJACK DROPKICK! The fans fire up as Cage bails out! Knight builds speed and FLIES! Cage catches him?!? The fans go nuts as Cage lifts, but Knight RANAS Cage into POST! The fans cheer as Knight hurries to get space. Knight runs, goes up the apron, and LEAPING LARIATS! Down goes Cage! The fans fire up with Knight, he puts Cage in the ring, and he hurries up the corner. Archer creeps up, but Bailey SUPERKICKS him! The fans cheer, but Cage CLUBS Knight! AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!
This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! The winner of each tournament will then challenge for THE AEW World Championship and AEW Women’s World Championships on August 30th at All In: London! And so, for the opening round, it will be: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Mark Davis; Claudio Castagnoli VS Brody King; then Double or Nothing has both Samoa Joe VS Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland VS Bandido!

We’ve seen the Aerial Assassin training with The Death Riders, he’s won gold with his old friends in The United Empire, and now he’s about to face a dangerous man at Double or Nothing. Will Ospreay be more than ready for Samoa Joe after tonight? Or will he fail to even get past The Inevitable?
The bell rings and the fans cheer Ospreay as he stares down with Ace. Ospreay offers a handshake, Ace accepts, and the fans cheer the sportsmanship. They circle, tie up, and Ospreay wrenches to wristlock. Ace rolls, handsprings, and wrenches, but Ospreay rolls, kips up, and wrenches back. Ospreay hammerlocks, Ace rolls to kip up and wrench to then armlock. Ospreay endures the grind, fights around, and he arm-drags Ace down. Ace endures, fights around, and rises up. Ace shoots through to waistlock but Ospreay switches. Ospreay hits the headlock takeover, Ace headscissors, but Ospreay kips free.
The fans cheer the standoff, and the two reset. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength. The fans rally as Ace pushes Ospreay back. Ace has Ospreay down for a knuckle lock cover, ONE as Ospreay gets his arm up. Ace pushes it down, cover, ONE as Ospreay gets the other arm up. Ace tries again, ONE as Ospreay bridges! Ace jumps up, but Ospreay holds the bridge! That training truly pays off! Ace jumps, Ospreay gets him for a MONKEY FLIP! The fans fire up as Ospreay then arm-drags! Down goes Ospreay and the fans fire up! Ace drags Ospreay up, but Ospreay puts him int he ring! Ace rewinds to headscissor, but Ospreay pops Ace up to SUPERKICK the arm out! Ospreay then climbs up, takes aim, and BLINDSIDE FOREARM!
The fans fire up as Ospreay springboards, OSCUTTER! Cover, TWO! Ace survives and Ospreay is stunned! Ospreay just shakes it off, goes to the corner, and takes aim. Ospreay isn’t done with just one, he aims from the corner and… Ace flops over! The fans boo but Ospreay shows no mercy. He just runs up to PENALTY KICK the bad arm! Then a FLYING ARMBAR TAKEDOWN!! That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?
AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!
Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!
With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?
The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!

Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!

Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!
Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!
Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.
Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!
Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!
Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!
Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification
The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!
The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.
Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!
The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
