Winner: Jon Moxley, by submission (still Interim AEW World Champion)
Moxley even flips off La Faccion Ingobernables to make a good point that you don’t piss him off. But wait! Chris Jericho is headed out to the ring? And of course, he has the Jericho Appreciation Society with him! And that includes the newest member, Anna Jay! Angelo Parker has the music cut and says this garbage town of Worcester doesn’t get to sing Judas! But here IS something the AEW Galaxy can do: APPRECIATE THEM! Jericho knew he had to come out here and congratulate Moxley on an amazing match. Mox has done a great job as interim champion, he is on a roll! But it is nothing compared to the roll the JAS is on!
Look at tonight: in tonight’s main event, it’ll be Daniel Garcia VS Bryan Danielson. And Garcia will kick Bryan’s stupid head in to finish the job Jericho started! Sammy Guevara is gonna ANNIHILATE Dante Martin, Tay Conti by his side. And now they’ve got Anna! Anna called Jericho for an opportunity, the JAS gave her one, and it paid off huge! Anna has a mic to say, “You’re damn right I took that opportunity. I’m a new Anna Jay. Anna Jay A S!” She’s the sexiest and toughest, and she isn’t afraid to prove it! She’ll choke everyone out if she has to! And that’s the intensity Jericho had last week when Eddie Kingston brutalized him!
Kingston left Jericho in a pool of blood and broke his nose before throwing him into a barbed wire spiderweb where Jericho had to be cut out like a horsefly! Fans chant for Eddie Kingston but Jericho says he still BEAT Eddie Kingston! He beat Eddie! He did!! And Moxley, Jericho’s gonna beat you! After two-and-a-half years, Jericho is demanding a rematch for the AEW World Championship!! And in two weeks, Quake by the Lake, when Jericho wins, he’ll be the first-ever TWO-TIME AEW LE CHAMPION!! Moxley says, “God, I hate you, Chris Jericho.” And Moxley hates this “sports entertainment BS” they’re doing.
By the way, take this “interim” and shove it up your ass! Moxley IS a two-time world champion. And Moxley used to look up to Jericho, which is why this is so sad. Moxley believes that Jericho is in his own way the greatest. Jericho has done everything everywhere. But this JAS Wizard Le Champion stuff is all pathetic. And this isn’t the World Sports Entertainment Championship of the Galaxy, this is the AEW World Championship! THE Championship of Professional Wrestling! Moxley made it that way and he’ll keep it that way! If Jericho wants to step to Moxley, if he has the balls to do that, then leave all that trash at home.
He means all the ones carrying Jericho’s bags. Jericho can carry his own bags. Moxley doesn’t want the Wizard, Le Champion, the King of Trademarks or whatever he is this week> Moxley wants the guy he saw on VHS tapes and magazines. The guy in Super J Cup! Moxley wants THE LIONHEART!! And if the AEW World Championship is to be defended on Moxley’s watch, it’ll be Moxley VS the last survivor of the Hart Dungeon, Lionheart Chris Jericho! This is for the world title, and anyone else but the best need not apply. The Maniac throws down the gauntlet and the ball is now in Jericho’s court. Will Jericho bring back that Jericho to get back on top?
AEW is introducing the World Trios Championships!
The tournament to crown the inaugural Trios Champions is coming, and it will all culminate at ALL OUT! Who will be in? And who will go all the way to win these belts in the Windy City?
Backstage interview with Dante Martin.
Tony Schiavone reminds us that Dante is going 1v1 with Sammy Guevara later on, but that means Dante will have to keep his head on a swivel. Dante says he in fact is doing just that. He already knows Sammy will have Tay ringside, and that’s because Sammy knows he can’t hack it on this roster anymore. Sammy’s been taking too many vacations around the world, snacking on grapes and getting his feet rubbed while Dante’s been sitting in the ring, working week in and week out, earning the fans’ respect. Does Sammy remember what that’s like? But Dante has someone in his corner tonight, and that is Skye Blue! Angel Dorado has Skye watching his back, will he be feeling sky high taking out the Spanish God?
FTW Championship: Ricky Starks VS Danhausen!
The gold doesn’t stop flowing in AEW! Absolute Ricky Starks put out the open challenge, but he didn’t expect it to be answered by the Overlord! Will Starks avoid getting cursed this close to Boston? Or will this title soon be Very Nice, Very Evil?
Starks’ entrance has a video package to start. “What makes a champion? Is it the respect on his name? Is it the commas in his bank account? Is it the foes he’s conquered? Maybe what makes a champion is what he’s destined to do, and who he’s destined to be. And this man’s destiny isn’t written in stone, but in gold. A future this bright, a legacy this heavy, can only belong to one champion, and he is… Absolute.” Starks makes his way out to the ring, but will he keep that future of his as bright as he wants it to be?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we really will see what makes a champion!
Starks and Danhausen circle and fans rally up. They’re torn between the two, and Danhausen builds up power. To pose like Starks! But then Starks BOOTS him down for it! Starks hears the fans booing but he just mocks Danhausen’s curse pose, to then go into his pose extra hard. But Danhausen BOOTS back! And then NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, ONE!! Danhausen gets the arm and hooks Starks up but Starks elbows free and ENZIGURIS! Danhausen is in a corner, Starks runs in but Danhausen dodges! Starks hits buckles, Danhausen rolls him up, TWO!! Starks clutches his neck, but he still dodges the haymaker to SPEAR!! Cover, Starks wins!
Winner: Ricky Starks, by pinfall (still FTW Champion)
That was quick! But Starks gets a mic to say “HAH! Very nice, Very Evil, but you’re not Absolute! And just like last week, oh my God, I’ve still got a little bit left in the tank. So let’s bring out another challenger, and I’m for real this time.” Taz is confused but Starks wants another opponent! So who will answer this newest open challenge? HOOK!! Taz’s own son, the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil wants his dad’s belt! He’s even wearing orange shorts! Hook goes to the ring and fans are thunderous! Starks said he was for real, is he going to follow through? HE IS! The FTW Championship is on the line in back-to-back matches, but will it be back-to-back wins for the Absolute?
FTW Championship: Ricky Starks VS Hook!
The bell rings Hook steps to Starks. Fans are thunderous, Starks takes a deep breath, and he swings! Hooks ducks, fires off body shots, and he backs Starks down! Hook HEADBUTTS Starks, whips, but Starks reverses only for Hook to reverse back! Drop step and a clinch, pump handle, BLACK SUNSHINE SUPLEX! Starks flounders and fans fire up for Hook! Hook clamps onto Starks but Starks ROCKS him with a right! And CHOPS him! And brings him around to hit a BIG back suplex! Hook gets to ropes, Starks whips him but Hook flips through the hip toss! Hook hooks Starks up but Starks rolls him up! Hook rolls through, but Starks SPEARS!!
Starks fires up, drags Hook up and gut wrenches, but Hook slips around to the REDRUM!!! Starks flails, reaches out, drops but Hook rolls with him!! STARKS TAPS, HOOK WINS!!
Winner: Hook, by submission (NEW FTW Champion)
Starks sputters, he will surely regret that they decided to #SendHook! And Hook has his first title in AEW! Team Taz fist bumps to show respect. Will Hook take this title to new heights as an undefeated champion?
AEW returns with Tony Schiavone in the ring.
He is with Ricky Starks, and now “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, in the aftermath of the title match. Starks is no longer FTW Champion, but he did want a second match. What is Starks’ reaction to all this? Starks says he lost, and he’s no stranger to that, and he’s okay with that. But he wants everyone to know something: he was given that title when people thought it was a noose, and he turned it into a tie. He made the most of that metal and leather and made it into gold! He brought it back to prominence, no one else can say that! Starks did that! And Starks exceeded all expectations and busted his ass, never giving less than 100%.
Starks deserves to be here talking to all the fans for more than 40 seconds. He deserves that! Fans cheer that sentiment as Starks says people in the back are telling him, “Hey, be patient. Wait your turn. The time is gonna come.” Starks is sick of hearing that! His time was last month, last year, and it’s RIGHT NOW! Starks doesn’t want people to say this is a string of bad luck. It’s not a string of bad luck, but just bad timing. That is why Starks & Hobbs- HOBBS CLOBBERS STARKS!??! The Powerhouse betrays Starks and fans can’t believe it! Taz is furious, but Hobbs isn’t done! He drags Starks up for a SPINEBUSTER!
Hobbs snarls as he stands over Starks and fans boo! No one can believe Hobbs would do this to Starks, but what does this mean for Team Taz?
The Acclaimed speak.
Max Caster says, “Yo, listen! Last week on Rampage, The Acclaimed roasted the Ass Boys in a rap battle.” Anthony Bowens says, “That’s right.” Caster says that obviously the Gunn Club doesn’t like that, cuz they attacked The Acclaimed. So for that, The Acclaimed will just roast the Gunn Club again. That’s right! Y’know, just to be jerks about it. That’s right! And the Gunn Club will have to watch The Acclaimed’s new music video, because that is how you’ll find out the stipulations The Acclaimed and the Ass Boys are having.
Bowens says if the Ass Boys wanna hit The Acclaimed in the head with garbage cans, then they better get real comfy. Bring some ass wipes, bring some ass cream, and even wear chaps for all Bowens cares. Friday night, The Acclaimed is taking out the TRASH Boys! That’s right! Everyone loves The Acclaimed, and everyone’s gonna love this music video. Friday is trash day, and that’s a mic drop! Just how badly will Platinum Max burn the Gunn Club? And just how violent will their grudge match get?
Sammy Guevara w/ Tay Conti VS Dante Martin w/ Skye Blue!
The Spanish God has his Brazilian Goddess in his corner, but the numbers will be even for once. Will Sammy be able to survive against Angel Dorado when things are fair? Or will SamTay still be able to pull one over on Dante and Skye?
The bell rings and the two circle. Fans rally up, Dante and Sammy tie up, and Sammy arm-drags Dante. Dante comes back but Sammy runs him over. Sammy runs the ropes but he fakes out Dante’s drop down. Dante avoids Sammy’s stomp, kicks him in the butt, then headlocks. Sammy powers out, hurdles, and flips over Dante to DROPKICK! Sammy kips up smooth but fans boo. Sammy spins and poses, Tay laughs, but Dante storms up on him. Sammy CHOPS Dante, ROCKS him, then whips him to ropes. Things keep moving, Dante hurdles and shoves to drop and hurdle and DROPKICK back! Dante mocks Sammy’s muy loco.
Sammy gets up in a huff and rushes in, but Dante dodges Sammy and mocks his lounging pose! Dante kips up smooth, too! Anything Sammy can do, Dante can do, too! But Sammy ROCKS Dante, tosses him out, and builds speed to slide. Dante slides in at the same time! Then WRECKS Sammy with a dropkick! Dante builds speed, but he fakes Sammy out, springboarding backwards while Sammy slides in! Superhero landing to stare Sammy down! Fans fire up for the #INHUMAN Dante but Sammy bails out. Sammy calls to Tay, he says they don’t need this. Fans boo but Dante chases them down and CLOBBERS Sammy from behind!
Dante drags Sammy up to toss him off the ramp! Then Dante goes to the center to build speed and FLY!! Direct hit with the tope and fans are thunderous! Tay shouts at Dante but Dante gets back in the ring while fans lose their minds.
AEW goes picture in picture as Tay checks on Sammy. The ring count starts, Dante calls Skye over, and she hops onto the apron so he can give her a kiss on the cheek. Dante can fly and he can charm the ladies. Dante paces while waiting on Sammy. Sammy crawls, Tay shouts at fans taunting him, and Sammy manages to stand. Sammy goes up the steps and gets in the ring, but Dante DROPKICKS him right back out! Dante goes out after Sammy to put him in now, and Tay throws a bit of a fit. Dante gets in the ring, but Sammy kicks the ropes! The ropes hit Dante low, and Sammy snap suplexes! Cover, TWO!
Sammy is annoyed but he clamps onto Dante with a chinlock. Dante endures the squeeze while the fans rally up. Dante fights up, throws body shots, but Sammy CLUBS him. They brawl, Dante ROCKS Sammy, then goes up, but Sammy shoves him away! Sammy POSTS Dante! Dante flops to the steel steps and Skye check son him. Sammy spins and lounges again, then does “snow angels.” Dante manages to get back in the ring but Sammy is right on him. Sammy drags Dante around, kicks him around, then throws forearms. Dante leans against ropes but Sammy brings him in, only for Dante to block the bomb lift.
Dynamite returns to single picture as Sammy CLUBS away on Dante. Dante back drops Sammy up and out! Sammy tumbles to the floor and fans fire up! Dante builds speed to go up and springboard into the JUMP KNEE! Sammy shoots Dante out of the sky and he gets back in the ring. Sammy builds speed as fans boo, to TORNILLO! Direct hit and both men are down, but Sammy lounges at the ramp. Sammy puts Dante in, runs up, spins Dante around and SPANISH FLIES! Cover, TWO! Tay is frustrated on Sammy’s behalf but Sammy slashes his throat. He drags Dante up, torture racks, but Dante fights free!
Dante hooks the arms to backslide, TWO! Sammy knees but Dante blocks! Sammy boots Dante away, but Dante goes up and over to then get around and spin Sammy into a BACK SUPLEX FACEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Dante is furious but he hobbles his way to a corner. Dante takes aim, springboards, but Sammy goes up after him! Sammy stops the Nosedive with body shots, and SUPER BACK SUPLEXES! Only for Dante to land on his feet! Fans are thunderous and Sammy is furious! Sammy runs, into a SPANISH FLY from Dante!! Cover, TWO!! Dante hurries to hook Sammy up, HALF NELSON SIDE EFFECT! Cover, TWO!!
Dante snarls, Tay shouts at him but Dante goes out to the apron. Dante tells Tay to stay back, and he springboards. Sammy gets outside before the Nosedive, to copy the flight pattern and SUPER CUTTER!! Sammy vows to end this and he gets Dante up! Torture rack, GO TO HOSPITAL!! Cover, Sammy wins!
Winner: Sammy Guevara, by pinfall
Sammy talks trash on Skye then kisses Tay, but then Sammy stomps Dante! Tay even stomps Dante! Sammy drags Dante to a drop zone and climbs up top, but Skye gets in the ring! Tay turns Skye around and the ladies talk trash, but here comes Anna Jay! Anna CLOBBERS Skye from behind! TayJay are still BFFs and they beat up Skye! They set Skye up to SLAP her, but here comes RUBY SOHO! The Runaway isn’t alone, she has Ortiz and Eddie Kingston with her! They all run SamTayJay off and fans are fired up! The JAS rolls deep but so do their enemies! Will the “sports entertainers” be put in their place before the summer’s over?
Backstage interview with Daniel Garcia.
Schiavone says the main event for tonight is the returning Bryan Danielson taking on Daniel Garcia, so this must be one of the biggest nights of Garcia’s career. Garcia says he hasn’t heard Bryan’s name in a couple months. Where’s he been? Garcia knows he’s been in the ring, getting sharper, getting better. Has Bryan? Has Bryan been getting better? Or has he just been gardening with the wife and kids? Garcia is fresh and sharp, and if Bryan hesitates for even a moment tonight, Garcia will take advantage. Garcia will send Bryan back on vacation, and then they’ll be calling Garcia the Greatest Technical Sports Entertainer in the World.
Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt & Satnam Singh speak.
Sonjay starts by saying, “This past Saturday night, ROH Death Before Dishonor, my best friend, my man, Jay Lethal-” But speaking of which, Lethal cuts him off. Lethal doesn’t wanna talk about DBD, even though Samoa Joe won with an “illegal choke,” Lethal wants to talk about more pressing issues. Namely, the unfinished business between them and the Best Friends! Oh, those clowns call themselves “Best Friends?” This trio here are real best friends! But then in walk Best Friends! Trent can’t believe these guys are gonna talk trash when Best Friends are three feet away in their tie dye suits.
Chuck Taylor says, “Fellas, our dance card for Friday Night Rampage is looking pretty empty. And y’know ya bois like ta dance.” Trent lets Lethal and his guys know Chuck means “wrestle.” And they don’t really mean Sonjay, because they know he doesn’t have what it takes anymore. What?! He doesn’t have what it takes?! Look at these muscles! Sonjay still has it! So they’re on! Friday night, a TRIOS match! Best Friends VS “the Original Playa from the Himalayas” is back! Lethal asks Sonjay what he’s doing, and even Sonjay realizes what he just did! Why didn’t they stop him!? They’re screwed!
Schiavone is in the ring again.
“Ladies and gentlemen here in Worcester, let’s bring in the one and only, JUNGLE BOY!” Fans fire up to see JB, who came back after what Christian Cage did to him. And yes, Luchasaurus is with him! Jurassic Express is reunited and with a lot of pyro! They go to the ring, and the jacket JB is wearing is the very one Christian Cage draped over him a month ago. Schiavone says after weeks and weeks of horrible, disparaging remarks from Christian, finally, JB gets to respond. JB take a moment to gather his thoughts, then he shouts, “Christian Cage, you are the biggest P*SSY I have ever met in my entire life!!” Fans fire up for JB’s rage!
JB continues to say, “I have watched you come out here for weeks and talk all sorts of BS about my entire family. Congratulations, by the way. You are now the most relevant you have ever been in your entire career. But as soon as I get back here, you tuck your tail and you run! And I didn’t really get it at first, what you’re so angry about.” Christian says this was all because of that battle royal like a year ago. Guess Christian missed out on some bonus or whatever. But for someone who has been wrestling for as long as Christian has, that shouldn’t be that big of a deal, right?
But then JB thought a bit more and realized why Christian needed that money so badly. Christian is strapped for cash, because his wife had just divorced his ass! JB is returning fire on Christian, and even tells the former Mrs. Charisma to give JB a call. Schiavone has this calm down and asks about last week, the surprising reunion with Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus had been with Christian this whole time. JB says that just like all the villains in movies with the turtlenecks and small dongs–what do you think happened with the wife?–Christian needed someone to protect him. He found himself a monster in Luchasaurus.
But that monster is also JB’s best friend! And what Christian didn’t realize is that Luchasaurus was only protecting Christian from everyone but JB! Because no one is going to get their hands on Christian before Jungle Boy! And Christian’s made it clear that his only goal is to hurt JB. Well, if Christian wants to talk trash, he can talk trash. Say whatever you can think off, because JB can take it. If you wanna swing a chair and hit JB in the chair, swing it as hard as you can, because JB can take it! But three years ago, JB was standing in a dirt hole with his uncle Dave and a shovel, watching his tears fall into the dirt and turn it into mud. JB had to dig his father’s grave-
Christian interrupts from backstage and wants this all to stop. JB realizes what’s going on, and Christian says he doesn’t mean to interrupt anyone’s time here, but something real quick. Luchasaurus is JB’s best friend? Well, that was a big mistake, big man. We’ve seen where Christian can guide Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus was walking through people! His future was nothing but main events and gold for days, but he threw that all away just to remain JB’s lapdog. Now, JB thinks Christian ran off because he was scared of JB? No, Christian ran off because he was scared of what he was going to do to JB if he stayed.
See, if JB thinks that Con-Chair-To hurt, he ain’t seen nothing yet! And how fitting that JB has Christian’s old jacket that he draped over him. Because the next thing Christian drapes over JB will be a body bag! And JB won’t have to worry about Christian disparaging his dearly departed daddy, because JB can cozy up right beside him! Christian says JB may have the monster, but Christian has the advantage. JB told Christian all his secrets. So now Christian will prey on that weakness. What is Captain Charisma planning to do to Jurassic Express next?
The Young Bucks are on the Cutler Cam.
Brandon says they’re live, and Nick Jackson says they didn’t want to do this again. Matt tells Brandon to cut the camera feed, but Brandon says they got their time approved. No, it doesn’t matter, turn the camera off. But what about the Trios tournament? Oh? Tell us more about that. Well, they just announced it that there will be the first-ever AEW Trios Champions at All Out. All their other friends are gone, Cutler’s a pretty good third wheel. Uh, no chance, Brandon. Now cut the feed! Aw, c’mon, really? Cutler can get better! But then they bump into Hangman Page! The Cowboy was rehydrating and he says hey. They say happy birthday to him, he says thanks.
And Nick’s birthday is tomorrow, right? Happy birthday then. Thanks. Okay, okay, for the longest time, Matt has been meaning to talk to Hangman, but… And now the Dark Order walks over. They say happy birthday to Hangman, and John Silver says they would’ve brought cake but they kinda ate it. So instead, here’s some broccoli! Evil Uno points out that the Bucks are here. Is everything okay, Hangman? Yeah, guys, it’s fine. But the Bucks say it’s fine, good to see them all. The Bucks and Cutler head out, and Cutler says that was awkward. Shut up, Brandon, and cut the camera! Cutler lingers on the Dark Order talking birthday party ideas with Hangman, but could there perhaps be a chance of a reunion here?
2v1 Handicap Match: Tony Nese & Mark Sterling VS Swerve Strickland!
You’d think this was an unfair match, but considering The Premier Athlete has “Smart Mark” as his tag partner, it makes sense a ringside ban on Keith Lee was weaseled into effect. Will Nese & Sterling tipping the scales be enough to win? Or will Worcester become Swerve’s House?
The bell rings and Nese starts for his team. Fans rally, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” as Swerve and Nese circle. Swerve swipes at Sterling but he gets away, and Nese CLOBBERS Swerve in the corner! Nese stomps away, whips corner to corner, but Swerve goes up and over! Keith is at least watching backstage as Swerve O’Conner Rolls to an Eddy Gordo headscissors! Nese kicks but Swerve blocks to slip around, leg capture BACKBREAKER! Swerve runs to LARIAT! Fans fire up as Swerve goes out after Sterling! Sterling says he’s not legal, Swerve shouldn’t touch him! Nese slides out but Swerve ROCKS him first!
Swerve ROCKS Nese again, follows him around the ring and puts Nese in. Swerve brings Nese up but Nese throat chops! The ref reprimands but Sterling cheers. Nese runs in at the corner but Swerve puts him on the apron. Swerve ROCKS Nese, HOTSHOTS the arm, and Nese falls to the floor! Nese shakes out his arm, but Swerve is on the apron. Sterling grabs Swerve’s hair! The ref reprimands, Swerve swipes at Sterling, but Nese YANKS Swerve down! Swerve hits the apron on the way down and Nese mocks the “Whose House?” chants as AEW goes picture in picture.
Nese and Sterling soak up the heat while Nese stomps Swerve around. Nese drags Swerve up, ROCKS him with a haymaker, and puts Swerve in the ring. Nese stalks Swerve, brings him around to throw knees and body shots, then he whips Swerve to ropes. Nese CLOBBERS Swerve with an elbow, covers, TWO! Sterling applauds and tags in so he can stomp Swerve around. Swerve gets to a corner, Sterling stomps a mudhole in, and Sterling lets off to swagger and soak up the heat. Then he tags Nese back in and Nese stomps Swerve back down. Nese drags Swerve up, puts him in the corner and whips corner to corner hard!

And it was JAKE HAGER under the ring! Hager and Jericho celebrate with Garcia as the JAS screws Bryan over again! Jericho is going after Moxley’s title, will Garcia use this win to claim his own shot at some gold?
My Thoughts:
An awesome night for this year’s Fight for the Fallen! A rather surprising match order, but it all worked out for what AEW is setting up these next couple of months. Moxley VS Rush was a great opener, and of course Andrade tries to screw Moxley over, only for the Lucha Bros to run him off. And of course Moxley retains to keep going strong. Jericho making a challenge was expected, and I like that we’re getting it at a brand new themed episode instead of stretching it until All Out. Moxley had a great promo to not only state that he might as well be THE champion, and to dare Jericho to get even more serious than he just did against Eddie Kingston. That match at “Quake by the Lake” is going to be awesome, and honestly, it could go either way. Moxley and Jericho would both give Punk an awesome match.
Following the AEW World Championship right up with the FTW Championship was surprising, too, but also great. I should’ve figured Starks would put Danhausen away easily, but what a turn of events right after! Starks VS Hook was also quick, Hook gets a huge win and is now the champion. And then Hobbs turns on Starks after all the tease of Swerve and Keith breaking up, that was incredibly shocking. But given Taz was upset, Hobbs must be wanting to break away from Team Taz since it hasn’t gotten him anything but losses. Hobbs VS Starks will be great, Hobbs possibly going after Hook will be great, Hobbs going after any of the champions will be great, Hobbs is just great.
Speaking of champions, FINALLY! AEW World Trios Championships! The tournament is going to be awesome, and we got a great promo from the Bucks, Hangman and Dark Order to tease all the possibilities for that bracket. While the tease is that the #HungBucks will reunite, there could totally be a swerve that Kenny Omega returns and THE Elite go for the titles. And with the Undisputed Elite on their way back, I would love if the finals at All Out is Kenny & Bucks VS Undisputed Era to wrap up that story and crown champions all at once. At the same time, we’re getting Best Friends VS #LethalFriends, the winner of that can definitely claim a spot in the tournament.
Good promo from The Acclaimed to hype up what’s coming in their story with the Gunn Club. The lens flare on the lights behind them made this feel very 90’s but in a good way. And given the trash can thing on Rampage, I would hope we get some kind of No Disqualification match. Good promo from Dante to introduce Skye Blue as an ally, Dante VS Sammy was awesome stuff, but I figured Sammy would win. Soho, Eddie and Ortiz show up, I’m pretty sure we’re getting TayJay VS Soho & Skye on top of the other JAS feuds that need to settle out. And what powerful stuff out of JB and Christian Cage. They were hitting hard with those promos, and I can’t wait to see what we get as a match between them.
The 2v1 Handicap went as I expected, in that Swerve pins Sterling to win. But what a great way of integrating AEW Dark into things for once. Nese and Sterling were scouting Woods, Woods joins them, and now Nese & Woods are a team that wants after Swerve & Keith. If AEW sticks to their “wins and losses matter,” #PremierGoods will have to go on a tear through Dark and Elevation, and maybe even Rampage. Of course, they could try a Tag Title Eliminator, but we’ll wait and see. Strong promos from the House of Black, too. Malakai VS Miro and Brody VS Darby are going to be awesome stuff, and both could go either way.
The women’s title match was really good, and it referenced much of what they did at TJPW Summer Sun Princess. A little clumsy, though, when they were on the apron, maybe some miscommunication between them. I knew Rosa would retain, but I was more surprised that Britt Baker didn’t ruin the moment. But I suppose it is better overall if Britt just waits for the coming tag match of her and Hayter VS #ThunderStorm. And then Bryan VS Garcia was awesome stuff. Bryan did a great job selling being rattled by that missile dropkick landing, and of course he bleeds. But of course the JAS screws Bryan over. If Jericho loses to Moxley, I’d love if we got Jericho VS Bryan. I don’t think we’ve seen that 1v1 match in years, so it’d be great to see them do that in AEW.
My Score: 9/10

The Death Riders speak.
It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.
The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

Will Ospreay speaks.
It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.
“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?
“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.
Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”
Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?
Backstage interview with Darby Allin.
Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Lexy Nair is with the Queenslayer and commends her on that great return match against Willow Nightingale a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop the Comeback Killer. Anna gives all the respect to Willow, her moves hurt. Maybe Anna dove into the deep end, but she didn’t drown. So while Willow is still TBS Champion, maybe Willow isn’t quite the Comeback Killer. Anna came back, is still here, and there is still a lot left for them to do. And by that, she means her and Tay Melo! The besties reunite, and Tay says if Anna is back, and she is back, then there’s one thing they gotta do.
Anna tells if they wanna find out what that is, #JustTryUs! TayJay is back again, but are they going to fight their way right to the Divine Dominion’s tag titles?
AEW World Championship No Count Outs: Darby Allin VS Sammy Guevara!
The Relentless One may have gotten MJF to accept the Double or Nothing challenge, but he is always up for a fight! The Spanish God still has the ROH World Tag Team Championship around his waist, but he wants even more gold to show off to his wife and daughter! Who gets what they want tonight to then head for Queens, New York?
As he makes his entrance, Sammy brings a table out from under the ring and sets it up ringside, planning ahead for the wild fight he and Darby are about to have! The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! Sammy puts the belt aside, the bell rings, and Sammy KNEES Darby right outta the ring! Sammy THROWS Darby into railing, THROWS him in again, then goes back to his table! Sammy puts the table by the stage, then he drags Darby up. Sammy THROWS Darby into more railing! And more railing!
Sammy grabs a ladder and he brings it over to his table! The ref reprimands, there are no count outs but there are still disqualifications! Sammy doesn’t seem to care, he still stands his ladder up near that table. Sammy then lines up a shot, and he JUMP KNEES Darby back down! “I’m gonna be the world champion! Me! Not him!” Sammy drags Darby up, puts him on the table, and he rains down fists! Sammy climbs the ladder, goes to the very top, and reminds us that he’s loco! SUPER SWANTON BOMB through the table!! The fans go nuts as Darby and Sammy are both down in the wreckage!

Sammy says #AndNew AEW World Champion! Sammy soaks up more heat, then he drags Darby up.
Sammy puts Darby in the ring, drags him up, then KNEES him low! Sammy grins, suplexes, and that’s just Uno Amigo! That means “One Friend.” Sammy hits Dos Amigos! Then THREE AMIGOS! Cover, TWO! Sammy is frustrated as Darby survives again. Sammy clamps on with a chinlock, not quite a bulldog choke, but Darby is still sputtering for air. The fans rally as hard as they can, and Darby rises up to fire body shots! Darby runs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS! Darby falls, Sammy covers, TWO!! Darby scrambles away but Sammy stalks him, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Sammy digs his boot into Darby’s face at the ropes, but the ref counts. Sammy stops, talks some trash, then stalks Darby to a corner. Sammy drags Darby up, whips him corner to corner hard, and Darby flounders out of the ring. Sammy pursues, drags Darby up, and he talks more trash on the fans. Sammy stands Darby up to ROCK him, then push him around. Sammy drags Darby up and THROWS him into railing! Sammy talks more trash, then walks around commentary so he can take a headset and tell everyone what he’s doing as he does it! He stomps Darby, taunts him, then has to go follow Darby around the way.
Sammy follows Darby into the ring, stands him up, but Darby fires hands! Sammy KNEES low, KNEES again and again, then ROCKS Darby! Darby falls over, but Sammy CHOKES Darby on the ropes! The ref counts, Sammy stops, and Darby coughs and sputters again. Sammy has the legs, he puts Darby under the ring, CATAPULT GUILLOTINE! Darby writhes and coughs again, but Sammy steps out to the apron. Sammy looms over Darby, drags him up by his chain, and Collision returns to single picture. Sammy goes out after Darby, and he brings out the other table! The fans rally as Sammy brings it over to set up by ringside. Sammy makes sure it is angled just right before he puts Darby on it. The fans boo, but then Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy climbs, reminds us again that he’s loco, and Sammy SUPER 630s only through the table!! Darby avoids disaster, then he puts Sammy back in! COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.
Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.
Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.
Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.
And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.
My Score: 8.9/10

MJF arrives backstage.
Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?
10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!
While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?
The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!
The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.
Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! Winners: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks, by pinfall
Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?
Ricochet & The Demand respond.
They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!
JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!
Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!
Winner: Mike Bailey, by pinfall
Another fast ‘n’ furious finish, and Bailey’s on a hot streak! But now, the other side of JetSpeed looks to keep it up! But just who is Kevin Knight defending the TNT Championship against? It’s… BRIAN CAGE!? The Machine finally returns to action, and he has the Don Callis Family with him! Will Cage be able to ground Knight and take this title back to the family?
AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Kevin Knight w/ “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Brian Cage w/ The Don Callis Family!
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who betta!
The bell rings, Cage runs up, but Knight dodges! Knight fires haymakers, Cage shoves him, but Knight dodges. Knight CHPOS, but Cage doesn’t budge! Cage makes the pecs dance, so Knight CHOPS again! The fans cheer as Cage eggs Knight on. Knight urns, leaps, but into Cage’s arms! Cage uses Knight to do curls, then THROWS knight! Knight lands out, RAMS Cage, but Cage comes back! Knight RAMS Cage again, but it’s still not enough! Knight tries a bigger SHOULDER TACKLE, but Cage stays standing! Knight runs one more time, ducks ‘n’ dodges, SATELLITE- NO, Cage stops the DDT! Cage THROWS Knight away!
Knight staggers, Cage SUPERKICKS him down! “Who betta than Cage?!” The fans fire up as Cage storms up on Knight, stands him up, and bumps him off buckles. Cage RAMS into Knight, stands him up, then RAMS again! The ref counts, Cage CHOPS, and the fans cheer. Bailey rallies the fans but Archer coaches Cage, and Cage whips Knight hard into the corner! The fans are torn as Cage hauls Knight up. Cage ROCKS Knight, CHOPS him, then CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Cage stops at 4, then Cage stalks Knight. Cage stands Knight up, whips him to the corner, then runs in, only for Knight to BOOT! Cage still LARIATS!
Cage hauls Knight up, whips him to ropes, but Knight grabs ropes. Knight DUMPS Cage out, then DROPKICKS him down! Cage sputters, the fans fire up, and Knight builds speed to DIVE! But he bounces off Cage! Cage then fireman’s carries, APRON F5! Knight sputters but Cage goes up the steps to soak up cheers and jeers, all while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Cage refreshes the ring count, drags Knight up again, and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Knight writhes, Cage refreshes the count again, then he whips Knight into barriers! Knight practically falls into the laps of the front row! But Cage brings Knight around to CHOP him down! Cage soaks up the cheers and jeers before he brings Knight around again. Cage SMACKS Knight off the apron, then puts him in the ring. Cage storms into the ring, drags Knight by his legs, and ties the legs up into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Knight endures as Cage sits deep! Knight powers up, fights his way forward, and he reaches to the ROPEBREAK!
The ref counts, Cage lets go at 4, but Cage brings Knight up. Knight CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS, but Cage still doesn’t back down. Knight fires more shots, but Cage UPPERCUTS him down! Cage digs his boot into Knight at the corner, but he stops as the ref counts. Cage drags Knight up, puts him in a corner, and LARIATS! Cage wrenches to then SAIDO Knight away! Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.
Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?
AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.
But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
My Score: 9/10
