Renee Paquette is here!

Toronto goes wild as Mrs. Moxley makes her AEW debut! She introduces herself and welcomes us to Dynamite. “Joining me now is Canada’s own Christian Cage!” Fans are torn as Captain Charisma makes his way out on stage. She asks him how it feels to be back in Toronto, and he says it feels great. “And as the face of not only the city of Toronto but the country of Canada, I’m gonna go ahead right now and guarantee a victory tonight. And not just any guarantee, I’m talking this guarantee is locked in. This guarantee is 100%. It’s like the Toronto Maple Leafs losing in the first round of the playoffs guaranteed.” Toronto boos at being trolled.

But without further ado, Christian introduces his “Right Hand of Destruction,” Luchasaurus! The treacherous T-Rex makes his way out and Christian goes with him to the ring. Will this battle be what finally ends things between the former Jurassic Express members?

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry VS Luchasaurus w/ Christian Cage!

The bell rings and JB rushes to SHOTGUN Luchasaurus! JB fires off but Luchasaurus TOSSES JB into the corner! JB dodges Luchasaurus to fire off fast hands! Luchasaurus shoves him away, then pops JB up to throw him to the apron. JB shoulders in, slingshots up and over to keep moving, and he SHOTGUNS Luchasaurus onto ropes! Fans fire up while Christian is on commentary. JB copies Christian with how he stands on Luchasaurus! Then he slingshots to ROCK Luchasaurus with that same uppercut! Christian says that’s cute, JB learned something. But JB turns around into a choke grip! Christian says this is why he dropped JB.

But JB wrenches and HOTSHOTS Luchasaurus! JB slides in, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then leaps, but into Luchasaurus’ arms! Luchasaurus pops JB around, HIGH ANGLE GERMAN! Fans are torn but Christian likes what he sees as JB goes to a corner. Luchasaurus storms over, drags him up, but JB CHOPS! Luchasaurus doesn’t flinch, he sits JB up on top to DECK him to the floor! Fans chant, “WE WANT TABLES!” and Luchasaurus gut wrenches JB up.

JB fights free before disaster strikes, and he ROCKS Luchasaurus! Luchasaurus POSTS JB in return! Fans boo as Luchasaurus refreshes the count. Luchasaurus drags JB up and then swings, but JB ducks! Luchasaurus’ hand hits POST! JB grabs that arm and wraps it around the post! Fans fire up as JB BOOTS the arm! Luchasaurus staggers away, JB refreshes the count then pursues. JB KICKS the bad arm, CLUBS it, then wrenches it, but Luchasaurus RAMS JB into the apron! And into railing! Luchasaurus drags JB up to whip him hard into railing! JB falls over and Luchasaurus roars. Luchasaurus drags JB up and CHOPS him!

JB sputters but he CHOPS back! Luchasaurus whips JB corner to corner hard, and JB tumbles and lands on his head! Luchasaurus drags JB out of the corner to loom over him. Luchasaurus stands on JB’s face for a cover, TWO! Luchasaurus stands on JB’s face again but JB moves around. Luchasaurus digs his heel in, it’s basically a choke now and the ref counts. Luchasaurus steps off, but then stands on JB for another cover, TWO! Luchasaurus’ foot is in JB’s face but he bench presses it away! Dynamite returns to single picture as JB fights and gets free! Luchasaurus runs in but JB ducks and Luchasaurus POSTS himself!

Luchasaurus tumbles out and towards the table. Fans fire up as JB builds speed, JB DIVES! But Luchasaurus catches JB, for a CHOKE- RANA into the POST! Luchasaurus wobbles but Christian tries to stay confident. But JB fireman’s carries?! Luchasaurus is too big for that, especially with JB’s bad back. Christian says this is what he meant about JB has no brains. Luchasaurus gut wrenches but JB slips off! JB ROCKS Luchasaurus, Luchasaurus choke grips but JB WRINGS the arm and SUPERKICKS! Luchasaurus wobbles on the apron, JB RAMS into him! JB builds speed to SUNSET FLIP POWREBOMB Luchasaurus through the table!!

Fans lose their minds and Christian freaks out! That should be a disqualification! But the fine print is that Luchasaurus introduced the table, it was fair game! Winner: Luchasaurus, by pinfall

Captain Charisma gets a huge assist in this, and Luchasaurus stands tall! Is this the end of Jungle Boy’s mission of revenge? Or will he come back even more determined?

Backstage interview with The Firm.

Renee is with Ethan Page, Stokely Hathaway, and surprisingly, Jose the Assistant to La Faccion Ingobernable. It seems there is cause for celebration as a big deal has just been finalized. And then Matt Hardy storms in, Private Party behind them, and Hardy demands to know what they’ve done! Stokely says Hardy wanted his boys free, so they’re free! And guess what? Stokely purchased Private Party’s contracts using The Firm’s allowance, so now those contracts belong to Stokely! Hardy said he wanted them free from the likes of The Firm, too! So then how about Hardy fights All Ego in Toronto, the contracts on the line!

Everyone’s fired up, and Ethan says he’s down to fight in Toronto any time! Hardy cares about Private Party, right? Damn right he does! Then let them fight their own battles. Isiah Kassidy’s been smirking at Ethan, so how about a fight on Rampage this Friday? If Kassidy wins, the Private Party is free of The Firm. Hardy and Marq Quen pump up Kassidy to whip that ass. But then Ethan says in return, when Ethan wins, Hardy also belongs to The Firm! That seems to change things, but Hardy still pumps Kassidy up. Then they can do the Hardy Party right! Will Kassidy go on a Rampage and win their right to party?

WARJOE VS The Factory!

The dominant duo of the AEW TNT Champion and the ROH World TV Champion are back in action again, but we already have QT Marshall and his team in the ring. QT has a mic to say, “So WARJOE, huh? That’s how creative those two are? I mean, you take both your names and shorten them to put it together. War, Joe. War, Joe.” Fans chant for “WAR~ JOE!” and here they come! Will the Maestro of Mayhem and the Samoan Submission Specialist prove that a team by any other name would still kick major ass?

The teams sort out and QT sends Aaron Solo at Joe? Solo’s not even his tag partner! Joe TOSSES Solo, then QT and Comoroto attack! The ref rings the bell, Comoroto kicks Wardlow out but Joe isn’t bothered by QT’s haymakers. Wardlow drags Comoroto out, Joe atomic drops QT and BOOTS him down! SENTON! Wardlow smacks Comoroto off the apron, then CLUBS him down! Joe JABS and JABS and JABS away on QT to sit him down. Joe then drags QT up to the top rope, but Comoroto attacks! Joe CHOPS Comoroto! And CHOPS! And HEABUTTS! Comoroto falls out of the ring, but QT LEAPS! Only for Joe to walk out of the way.

Fans fire up and Joe tags Wardlow in! They mug QT, Wardlow uppercuts then RAMS QT, and repeat! Wardlow whips, QT KICKS back! Fans cheer for “WARD~LOW!” but QT says up theirs! But he turns around into a HEADBUTT! Wardlow then winds up to LARIAT QT down! QT flounders but tags Comoroto. Wardlow dodges to OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! And then OVERHEAD again! Wardlow clinches but Comoroto BELL CLAPS! Comoroto RAMS into Wardlow in the corner, then again and again! Comoroto lets off, scoops Wardlow, but Wardlow slips off, shoves and SPINEBUSTERS!

Tag to Joe and fans fire up! Joe gets Comoroto into the drop zone for Wardlow to SWANTON BOMB!! Fans are thunderous for the COQUINA CLUTCH!! Comoroto is OUT, WARJOE wins!

Winners: WARJOE, by submission

The match is over, but the fun’s just beginning! QT staggers in, Joe grabs him by the head and feeds him to Wardlow! POWERBOMB! Fans want that “ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME!” so WARJOE obliges! Joe feeds QT to Wardlow again, but here comes The Embassy! Prince Nana laughs as he leads Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona out. Nana says, “Ladies and gentlemen, WARJOE!” Those guys are so disappointing, sticking their noses where it doesn’t belong: in Embassy business! Cage takes the mic to say they’re cutting the symphony crap off. No one wants to see that again. Fans boo in disagreement.

But Cage says no one wants to see WARJOE interfere when The Embassy had FTR right where they wanted them! Fans boo in disagreement again. Cage says in fact, is FTR even here? Cage hasn’t seen them. Knowing them, if it was up to Cage, he wouldn’t even let them into Canada! But wait! HERE’S FTR! The ROH, IWGP and AAA Tag Team Champions are in Toronto and Toronto is thunderous for them! Dax Harwood has a mic but he loves the raucous crowd here tonight. But see, there’s three Embassy, but WARJOE just had a hard ass night of work here! Dax can’t let them work Friday, too.

So FTR has the perfect partner for this match. He’s an Ontario native, and Rampage on Friday is what? Cash Wheeler does the math. Ten? TEN! TEN! Fans like where this is going! This is The Pinnacle, after all. SHAWN SPEARS is back! Fans fire up as the Perfect Ten, PERFECT10N, the Chair Man, the missing piece of The Pinnacle, makes his return to AEW! And he grabs Solo to feed him to FTR’s BIG RIG!! Fans fire up as the Embassy bails for now. Will the Pinnacle go on a Rampage and take down The Machine and the Gates of Agony?

Backstage interview with the Jericho Appreciation Society.

Tony Schiavone is with Matt Menard, Angelo Parker and of course, the ROH World Champion, Chris Jericho, ahead of the ROH World Championship main event. Parker tells Bryan Danielson, “You’re a piece of garbage. Man, I wish I could stand here and say everything that’s happened recently has been strictly business, but that would make me a liar. Bryan, you made this personally by constantly trying to poach Daniel Garcia. YOU made this personal when you broke up our happy family.”

Menard shouts at Garcia! Then he gets quiet as he asks, “Do you think this is fun for us? Do you think it was fun for us when we sent you a giant, steaming piece of humble pie? I PROMISE YOU… It hurt us a lot more than it hurt you.” Chris Jericho says Garcia is family to them. He’s a son to Menard & Parker and a little brother to Jericho. And Bryan, last week, you forced Jericho to have to hurt his little brother. Garcia hasn’t returned Jericho’s calls or texts and it is tearing Jericho apart. Jericho has said sports entertainers beat pro-wrestlers every time. Schiavone again says it’s more like “systematic cheating.” Oh, of course you would, Schiavone.

But tonight, Jericho vows to be The Lionheart, “the greatest wrestler to ever come out of Stu Hart’s Dungeon. I’m gonna out wrestle you, Danielson. I’m gonna out fight you, Danielson. And I’m gonna leave T-Ront still Ring of Jericho Champion. The Ring of Jericho Era has arrived. All Honor the Ocho.” Will Jericho keep his promise and play things like a pro-wrestler? Or will he be unable to hep himself and do things like a sports entertainer?

Swerve Strickland VS Billy Gunn w/ The Acclaimed!

“Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” At least, that’s what Swerve wants it to be. But he isn’t here about houses, scissors, rapping or anything fun like that. Swerve wants to BREAK Daddy Ass so he can get back at Max Caster, Anthony Bowens and those AEW World Tag Team Championships. But first, Platinum Max drops another diss track! “Acclaimed on the mic, I’m a beast with words. Billy Gunn about to beat down Sneaky Swerve! Yo, you gonna need a new nose. Have your face swollen, lookin’ blacker than Trudeau’s! You wear fake gold, you’re a poser. How you gonna be a hoe in a hoser? Got the whole place laughing at you. We put you on the ice like Austin Matthews!”

Bowens gets the mic to say, “TOOOORONTOOOOOO~! The Acclaimed… have arrived! SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS!” And he does~! But will this be Daddy’s House? Or will Swerve be the rock that crushes his scissors?

The bell rings and fans sing, “OH~ SCISSOR ME, DADDY~!” Billy revels in it and Swerve says okay. Billy takes off the number one selling shirt to show off those abs! Billy and Swerve get in each other’s face and Swerve talks some trash. Swerve shoves Billy but Billy ROCKS him with a right! Billy bumps Swerve off buckles, then brings Swerve into a headlock. Swerve powers Billy to ropes, powers out of the hold, but Billy runs him over! Fans fire up and Billy shows off the Deep V! Things speed up, Billy hurdles and he runs Swerve over! Then Billy shows off more hip! Swerve is flustered, Billy whips him but Swerve goes up and out and elbows back.

Swerve slingshots in to dropkick a leg out! Swerve swaggers now while fans boo and AEW goes picture in picture.

Billy bails out, Swerve goes out and takes aim from around the way. Swerve runs up to CHOP BLOCK! Billy hobbles away, Swerve reels him back in to RAM him into steel steps! Swerve then drags Billy up with a fishhook to the face! The ref reprimands, Swerve lets off with a shove, then he puts Billy in the ring. Swerve covers, ONE!! Billy’s still got it but Swerve goes after a leg. Swerve has a unique toehold, he CLUBS Billy, and then he wraps Billy up with a chinbar so he can throw shots into the ribs. Swerve shifts to go for an arm, and he whips, but Billy reverses. Billy runs in but into a BOOT! Swerve goes up for a FLYING STOMP to the leg!

Billy goes down and Swerve smirks as he stalks Billy. Swerve drags Billy around by the bad leg to stand on it, and then SMASH the knee! Billy clutches his leg but Swerve mocks the singing. Swerve stomps Billy more, drags him around and gets the legs to go after the bad knee. Billy fights but Swerve pulls on the leg. Billy pulls hair to bring Swerve in for haymakers! Swerve lets go of the leg and Dynamite returns to single picture. Billy hobbles up but Swerve is after his leg. Swerve CLUBS the thigh, then he facelocks. But Billy suplexes first! Swerve slips out and shoves Billy out of the ring! Fans boo while Billy clutches his leg again.

Swerve aims, slingshots and KNEE DROPS Billy right there! Swerve taunts the fans and then gets in the ring. Billy hobbles, drags himself up and gets on the apron at 7 of 10. Swerve brings Billy in to throw body shots! Fans boo and Billy flops down onto the mat. Fans rally, “Let’s Go, Daddy!” but Swerve fishhooks Billy. Swerve runs but into a scoop and POWERSLAM! Billy is down again and Swerve drags himself to a corner. Fans fire up as Billy rises, and Swerve rushes in, into a LARIAT! And another! Billy suplexes to JACKHAMMER! Billy shows he’s still got it, and he drags Swerve back up. Billy tells Swerve… “SCISSOR IT!” Billy runs but Swerve dodges!

Swerve gets to another corner, runs back in, but he blocks a boot for a KNEE JAMMER! Billy hobbles, Swerve SOMERSAULT COMPLETE SHOTS! Fans boo but Swerve goes up the corner. Swerve says scissor this. KILL STOMPS!! Cover, TWO!?! Billy survives and Swerve can’t believe it! Fans fire up for Billy but Swerve aims from a corner. Billy rises, Swerve has a wily grin and he runs in, HOUSE- NO, Billy swats that away to roll Swerve, and then MILLION DOLLAR- NO, arm-drag to a cover, WITH ROPES! SWERVE STEALS THE WIN!!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

Fans boo but here come The Acclaimed! They didn’t like how Swerve did Daddy Ass dirty. They go to Billy’s side to check that leg but Swerve tells them all to “SUCK IT!” But The Acclaimed try to cheer Billy up. They… “HOLD ON A SECOND!” Really? Mark Sterling comes out with Tony Nese and another petition. Sterling sarcastically says, “Sorry, where you guys about to scissor in there? Yikes.” But that means they ignored his emails. They have a very important document here. This has been issued to them by the greatest country in the world, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

Toronto boos but Sterling says this document says he now owns the term, “SCISSOR ME” in professional wrestling! That means The Acclaimed can no longer do the hand symbols, they can no longer say the words, “Scissor Me,” and they can no longer sell their shirts! Fans tell Sterling off but Sterling tells the “potty mouths” to quiet down. Wait, hey! They can’t do what they’re doing! The Acclaimed go to scissor finger, but Sterling says fine! Do it! Because when they do, Sterling can sue them so hard, they’ll be stuck in the courts for months and have to forfeit their titles! Sterling says he is willing to work with them on this, though. There are some ideas.

“But until then, folks… SCISSOR ME, DADDY NESE!” And they do scissor! They rub it all in our faces, but is Sterling implying The Acclaimed will have to put up the titles to get back their favorite catchphrase?

Backstage interview with MJF.

Alex Marvez notes that last week, we started seeing a different side to Maxwell Jacob Friedman. After his win against Wheeler Yuta, Yuta offered a handshake, and it appeared MJF actually seriously considered that offer. That is, until The Firm attacked. And it was rather curious seeing MJF interact with William Regal during that moment. Just what is happening? MJF wants to explain but Stokely steps in to say, “Max, we did it! We caught Yuta lacking and we put that boy to sleep!” MJF, “Hey, I get it, dude! This is great! The ol’ Dynamite trope, I’m in the middle of an interview and you interrupt me. That’s hysterical!” MJF is sure everyone else finds this so funny.

But y’know who doesn’t? Daddy MJF doesn’t. Now Daddy MJF is gonna have to put Stokely on timeout. Okay, bud? And by the way, strike two. Strike one was when The Firm got involved in MJF’s business when he didn’t ask them to. If Stokely does that again, strike three, MJF will have to fire him. “So now here’s what’s gonna happen. For job security purposes, what you should do is take your Carlton Banks wardrobe wearing ass outta my shot. Buh-bye. Buh-bye, thank you.” MJF then turns to Marvez to finish the interview. You wanna know about MJF and Regal? “The Villain, right? Willie, by British little buddy, in my world, you’re about as villainous as Mary Poppins.”

MJF and Regal have a dark past, one Regal probably doesn’t remember while he was up on his high horse. But MJF assures us, Regal does not want to be reminded of it, and MJF is not afraid to tell. And for Yuta, was MJF going to shake his hands? Quite frankly, MJF isn’t even sure. He’s been doing a lot of self-reflection this week, and he has come to terms with the fact that at a very young age, MJF had to learn the hard way that nice guys finish last. And he’s no idiot. He knows everyone in the back hates his guts, probably wants him dead, and that makes up a large number of the fans, too.

But guess what? You don’t have a clue what it’s like to be MJF, waking up every morning, splashing water in his face, looking in the mirror and knowing he has no choice but to be the bad guy! MJF has broken his hand many times punching his own reflection. So if you don’t like him, TOUGH SH*T! Cuz guess what? When MJF walks through the curtain, he doesn’t like himself either! But that is what it takes to be world champion, then by hook or by crook, he’ll do it. He is the man with the plan, the man with the chip, and the man… who is a generational talent. We may have in fact seen a new side to MJF. Will this be what MJF needs to become AEW World Champion?

AEW returns with Tony Schiavone in the ring.

Schiavone says, “We’re live on Dynamite, and I don’t mind telling ya, in front of the greatest wrestling fans in the world here in Toronto, Canada, but next week, we are live on a Tuesday night, and we will be live in Cincinnati with a world title bout between Jon Moxley and Hangman Adam Page. With that in mind, the AEW Champion of the World, Jon… Moxley!” The Maniac makes his entrance from the crowd like always and fans fire up as he goes to the ring. Schiavone says we are six days away from seeing Moxley defend the title in his hometown, and not just against anyone but against a former world champion in Hangman Page.

Moxley says, “After three years, DAMN it’s good to be in Toronto!” Toronto cheers to have him here, too! “And for much of that three years, I have been the AEW World Champion, and they have come from far and wide, in all shapes and sizes and styles, to try and knock me from off the top of the mountain. They want what I got, but they ain’t walked a mile in my shoes. See, being world champion ain’t all fun ‘n’ games, it ain’t easy. You got a target on your back, everybody wants something from you, your time, your energy. You live every day in physical pain.

“Everybody wants to see you fall, and while other guys get there and they can’t handle it, they crumble under the pressure and self-destruct, some faster than others… The world champion does not have the luxury of being anxious, does not have the luxury of fear or doubt or hesitation or second guesses. Being the world champion is a dirty, dirty job, and you gotta be ruthless and indiscriminate. But gaddamn, I love this job.” And that brings Moxley to “our boy, The Cowboy, Hangman Page.” But speaking of, here he comes! Fans fire up as Hangman gets some pyro as he makes his way out to the ring!

Hangman circles with Moxley and he holds his hand out. Moxley hands over the mic and Hangman says, “Whatever you have to say about me, I want you to say it to my face. No, no, actually… You said it all last week. You said you respected who I was in the ring, you said you respected me as a person. And I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that coming from you, that meant the world to me. Because I have watched you for these past three years. And I’ve come to respect who you are in the ring and who you are outside of it, too. You are a hell of a champion, a hell of a father, a hell of a husband.

“And there have been times in the past three years when I looked at you, and I saw the kind of man I wanted to be.” Fans notice MJF is in the VIP box, though, holding onto his chip. Hangman says MJF can watch all he wants but he better listen. “Last week, you shattered the illusions I had about you when you called me a ‘nice kid.’ Is that how you feel about me, huh? You think I’m a kid? After all the niceties, the compliments, you wanna call me a kid? Is that how you feel about me? Answer me, I’m asking you a question! Am I a kid to you?” Moxley says, “That’s exactly what I think about you.” MJF chuckles at that.

Moxley says Hangman isn’t the same guy who knocked him off a 20 foot ladder one year ago. Next week in Cincy, if Hangman gets the shot to take Mox out, Mox doesn’t think Hangman has it in him to pull the trigger. Hangman says Mox might be right. He isn’t the same guy he was this time last year. Hangman hesitated in May and it cost him the title. He went through the Trios Tournament with his best friends and he failed! He’s had to watch week after week as his friends seemingly disappear. Hangman’s old friends have disappeared. And for all that Hangman did, he is left with nothing!

So no, he’s not the same! He’s angry, frustrated, can’t sleep at night, depressed and anxious! The medicine isn’t working, but Hangman is still here because he is a MAN! He is 31 years old, a former world tag team champion, a former world champion. He’s watched family members be lowered into the ground, and he’s brought new life into this world, just like Moxley. Hangman is a husband, father, has been choked until his face turned blue, and has been beaten in that same face over and over, but he keeps coming back because he is a MAN, DAMMIT!! Hangman even punches himself a couple times to get the point across! MJF’s even enjoying popcorn now.

Hangman knows what he has to do in Cincy, and he doesn’t care if Moxley’s cousins are there, if Moxley’s sister is there, or if his mother’s there. Hangman will beat Moxley within an inch of his life to take back the thing he never should’ve let slip away. And look at Hangman now! He has nothing but a shot and his word. Well, that and a bloody bruise he gave himself. But Hangman says next Tuesday, he has his shot, he gives Moxley his word, and he vows to be the NEW AEW World Champion. MJF is loving where this is going. Hangman wipes the blood from his brow and wipes it on Moxley’s shirt to say that is his word. But fans chant for MJF as he leans in with the chip.

Hangman says unlike MJF, Hangman wanted to come out here to tell Moxley all that face to face, man to man. Hangman drops the mic and pushes past Moxley, but then turns around to look at Moxley as he paces. These two leave it at this, but will there be any stopping this war in Cincinnati?

AEW hears from Chris Jericho and Bryan Danielson.

The Wizard says, “In just one week, a sports entertainer took over the entire history of ROH, changed the narrative.” The American Dragon says, “I am honored to be considered one of the many, as one of THE BEST ROH World Champions of all time. It made me who I am today.” Jericho says Ali VS Frazier, Steamboat VS Flair, those are all trumped by Jericho VS Danielson. It has been five YEARS since Jericho has wrestled in his home country of Canada, and he expects nothing less than a hero’s welcome. Bryan shouts, “I lose battles, Chris Jericho, but I don’t lose the war!” Jericho will pillage the legend of Bryan Danielson, but Bryan vows to take the ROH title where it belongs and win this war.

ROH World Championship: Chris Jericho VS Bryan Danielson!

Surprisingly, Bobby Cruise is willing to make the introductions for this match given what Jericho did to him last time. But Jericho also vows to “pillage” and ruin the legacies of every great ROH World Champion on the list. Will he continue that blasphemous crusade against ROH? Or will #THEOCHO stop here in the tiebreaker round?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and the bell rings. The Code of Honor is offered by Jericho. Bryan kicks it away! Then he ducks the kick to roll Jericho up, TWO! Bryan EuroUppers, Jericho CHOPS, repeat! Bryan then HEADBUTTS, HEADBUTTS and HEADBUTTS! Bryan fires off body shots and knees against the ropes, then he whips. Jericho reverses but Bryan turns dropkick into a CATAPULT! Jericho goes up and out and falls to the floor! Fans fire up and Bryan builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit at the ramp! Bryan drags Jericho up and scoops him to SLAM him on the floor!

Fans finish singing Judas on their own since Jericho used his Lionheart theme. Bryan puts Jericho in the ring, but Jericho CHOPS back. Bryan HEADBUTTS then throws body shots in the corner. Bryan SOBATS, KICKS, and climbs up to rain down fists! Fans count along, Bryan gets all TEN in! But Jericho CHOPS again! And again! And again! Jericho climbs up to then rain down fists of his own! Jericho gets TEN, then he lets off. Bryan CHOPS back! And CHOPS, and CHOPS, and CHOPS! Bryan KICKS Jericho in the corner, CHOPS, but Jericho CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS! Jericho has Bryan in a corner, hoists him up top, and he CHOPS again!

Jericho climbs up, fans fire up, and Jericho throws more hands! Jericho gets all TEN, then SUPER STEINERS! Fans fire up as Jericho flexes and AEW goes picture in picture.

Jericho soaks up the cheers from Toronto while Bryan gets to ropes. Jericho storms up on Bryan, SLAPS him around, but Bryan trips Jericho up! Fans are thunderous but the JAS hurry to grab the ROH belt! Menard slides that in to Jericho, Jericho takes hold of it, is he going to be a sports entertainer in the end? Jericho aims as Bryan slowly rises, but Bryan stares Jericho down. Wait! Here comes DANIEL GARCIA! He snatches the title from Jericho! Fans are torn as Garcia tells Jericho to do this the right way. Winner: Chris Jericho, by pinfall (still ROH World Champion)

The ROH Pure Champion stays loyal to the JAS and he hugs it out with Jericho! But here comes the BCC! Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli and William Regal will not stand for this! They chase off the JAS, is this the end of the war? Or just another battle lost?

Backstage interview with Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir & Vickie Guerrero.

Renee is with The Vicious Vixens as they shine up the AEW TBS Championship, and Vickie makes sure Renee addresses Nyla as the AEW TBS Champion. But with all due respect, she isn’t actually champion yet. No need to worry about details, Renee. Cuz, isn’t she, though? Renee, this may be your first day on the job here, but possession is nine-tenths of the law. So to quote Stallone, “I AM the law!” But then in walks Anna Jay “A S.” Jay tells Nyla that she sees her parading with the belt, acting like it’s hers. Here’s an idea: Nyla should wrestle the sports entertainer, Anna Jay, this Friday on Rampage so that Jay can take the belt so she can show Nyla and Jade what a REAL champion looks like.

Vickie wants to discuss this but Nyla says no, it’s cool. Let’s remix this. So Anna Jay A S, show up on Friday, and Nyla will whoop that A S S. Will the Native Beast prove she can be a better fighting champion than Jade Cargill? Or will the UNDEFEATED and actual champion have something to say about this?

Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida VS Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter w/ Rebel!

A match meant to happen months ago finally happens in Toronto! The Lightning From Down Under & The Full Metal Warrior want to finally get some payback on The Doctor and her assistants, will they find such satisfaction here tonight? The teams sort out and Hayter starts against Shida. Hayter waves to Storm but Shida calls out Britt. Hayter shoves Shida, so Shida ties up with Hayter. They go around, fans rally for Hayter, but Shida shoves her down! Shida wants Britt, so Britt reaches out. Hayter reaches out, only to sucker punch Shida! Hayter runs in to CHOKE Storm while the ref is busy with Shida now. Hayter drags Storm up, whips her to ropes and runs her over! Hayter kicks Storm around, keeps between her and Shida, then wraps on a chinlock. Storm endures as Hayter thrashes her around and leans on the hold. Storm endures, fights back up, and she throws body shots. Hayter throws Storm by her hair! Hayter “apologizes” to the ref, then she CLUBS Storm. The former AEW Women’s World Champion snatches this away from another former AEW Women’s World Champion! Will this earn Shida a shot at the Interim title? Or will she have to keep on fighting for that opportunity?

The Butcher & The Blade speak.

Andy Williams shouts, “Hey, Claudio! Hey, Mox! You crumbs! You tried to make Rush look bad by throwing around his kids.” Braxton Sutter says, “News flash, slick: good luck on Rampage this Friday when you’re in there with a couple of real men! The Butcher & The Blade, we kick ass!” Then they both shot, “FIGHT US!” back and forth. Bunny steps in to bite at the camera. Will the mercenaries of LFI take out the Blackpool Combat Club? Or will they be the ones taken out?

AEW All-Atlantic Championship: PAC VS Orange Cassidy!

The Bastard is still AEW’s first and only Double Champion, but through nefarious means each and every title match. He thought he hammered Orange Cassidy out of commission, but Freshly Squeezed is back for revenge! Will Cassidy be the one beating Pac to a pulp? Or will it be hammer time once again?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and Dynamite in Toronto has an explosive main event!

The bell rings, Pac dodges an Orange Punch! Pac SOBATS, KICKS, SOBATS again, then runs and SHOTGUNS Cassidy down! Pac roars, fans are torn, but Cassidy fires off forearms! Pac shoves Cassidy away to UPPERCUT him in the corner. Pac whips corner to corner, runs in and BOOTS Cassidy! Fans rally for “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” but Pac taunts the fans to keep going. Pac brings Cassidy up, puts Cassidy’s hands in his pockets for him, and then mocks Cassidy with “devastating” shin kicks! Cassidy sighs, but Pac “powers up,” and “powers up,” more, but Cassidy SHOTGUNS him! And no-hands kips up!

Pac bails out, Cassidy builds speed and DIVES! But Pac catches him!? And turns that into a FALCON ARROW to the floor! Fans fire up and lose their minds while Pac blows snot on Cassidy. Pac pretends he can’t hear the fans while AEW goes picture in picture.

Pac paces while the ring count climbs. Pac drags Cassidy up, brings him around, and he grins as he RAMS Cassidy into railing! Pac BOOTS Cassidy, drags him up and then brings Cassidy around to put him in the ring. Pac stalks Cassidy, circles like the shark he is, and he BOOTS Cassidy down! Pac dares Cassidy to get up, and Cassidy sits up, into a mule kick! Cassidy sits up again, kicks feebly, but Pac just eggs everyone on. Pac stomps away on Cassidy, then drags him out of the ring to drop him on the floor. The ref reprimands but Pac drags Cassidy even further away! They go all the way up the ramp!

The ref hurries after them as they just about reach the stage. The ref reprimands, but Pac drags Cassidy up to scoop and TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER to the ramp!! Pac talks trash in Cassidy’s face, then tells the ref to go back to the ring already. The Bastard leaves Cassidy behind, wanting a ring count to start. The ref argues with Pac, but Cassidy is stirring as the count begins. Dynamite returns to single picture, fans rally for Cassidy, but he’s so far away! Cassidy rolls down the ramp! Genius! Cassidy is already back to ringside, and he flounders the rest of the way! We’re past 5 of 10, we’re at 7, and Cassidy staggers and falls at 8!

The count is 9, but Cassidy surges in at 9.99!! Pac puts on the BRUTALIZER!! Cassidy kicks and flails, he starts fading, but then a second wind helps Cassidy fight his way around to the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Pac holds until 4! Pac is frustrated but the ref tells him to respect his authority. Pac cools off and he slides back out to go tot he timekeeper’s table. The ref intercepts him and tells him, “Not today!” We’ve seen this three times already, the ref knows to watch Pac. But Cassidy DIVES to take out Pac! And then again to DIVE for a TORNADO DDT!! Pac is bent and Cassidy puts him in! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTs!!

Fans are thunderous as Cassidy kips up, to ORANGE PUNCH!! Cover, TWO!?!? Pac survives impact after impact and Cassidy is beside himself! Fans rally, Cassidy goes to a corner and he goes up. “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy reaches the top. Cassidy watches Pac slow roll out to the apron, and Cassidy smirks. It’s a very Cassidy thing to do. Cassidy nods and adjusts, and he still leaps! But into a BOOT! Pac reels Cassidy in, but Cassidy turns that to an APRON BEACH BREAK!! Cassidy pushes Pac into the ring, he throws off the elbow pad, and fans fire up! Pac stands, for the ORANGE- NO, Pac ducks under to fireman’s carry! NORTHERN LIGHTS!

But Pac doesn’t cover, he wrenches to a BRUTALIZER!!! Cassidy endures as Pac pulls him back! Cassidy pushes through, rolls and gets the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Pac lets off in 4 and is even more frustrated. Pac has a bloody ear somehow, but he ignores that to go out. And he goes for the hammer! But then someone grabs Pac! Disguised as part of the ring staff, it’s DANHAUSEN~! The Very Nice, Very Evil Overlord is making sure this is fair and square! But he does… CURSE PAC!! Pac DECKS Danhausen! Pac blows snot at him, too! But then the ref gets in Pac’s face! Fans fire up as the ref tells Pac the law, so Pac hands the hammer over.

But while the ref puts that hammer back, Pac grabs a spare hammer from under the ring!! Pac aims at Cassidy, fans boo, but Cassidy RIGHT HOOKS first!! Cassidy grabs the hammer, the ref tells him not to do this, and Cassidy roars in anger. Cassidy grits his teeth, but he hands the hammer over. But Pac rolls Cassidy up! TWO!! Cassidy dodges to ORANGE PUNCH!! Cassidy is seething and fans are thunderous again! Cassidy reloads in the corner, roars with all his might, ORANGE PUNCH!!!! Cover, Cassidy wins!!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall (NEW AEW All-Atlantic Champion)

The Bastard tried his nasty tricks, but they all backfired! We have a Freshly Squeezed champion, and that is Orange Cassidy! Orange confetti flies as the Best Friends get in the ring. They all HUG! GOT to give the people what they want! Will Cassidy take this, his first title in AEW, to new heights?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for AEW here, great first time in Canada for them, and some great stuff set up for the weeks to come. Great main event for the All-Atlantic Championship, but I was rather surprised it was the main event with the ROH title also on the card. But I suppose if there was going to be a new champ crowned, it works to make that celebration be the closing moment so fans finish Dynamite happy. And now, as I’ve been saying, I see Cassidy VS Ethan Page happening for this title, after we see Ethan VS Kassidy. That is an interesting way to riff on the “poaching” stories, and I’m not really sure which way that match will go, either result could be a lot of fun.

Speaking of the ROH title, again surprised that wasn’t the main, but again, probably didn’t wanna leave fans feeling sour. The match itself was awesome, but I was very disappointed that they had Garcia go back to JAS. Feels like a missed opportunity like with Britt VS Hayter but whatever, I suppose this keeps the lines clear in BCC VS JAS. If we get Garcia VS Bryan again, that’s fine, that’d be an awesome ROH Pure Championship match to see what these two can do under those rules. Who knows who faces Jericho next, though I’ve said who is still out there to face that I’d wanna see. There’s a lot of possibilities going to Full Gear, so who knows.

Great to see Renee showing up, she already had great interview promos with the various stars tonight. Great bit from Nyla and Anna Jay, that will be a fun match but I think Jade will show up to snatch the belt back. Somehow, someway, we get Jade VS Nyla for Full Gear. Good opening with Christian for him to get Heel heat with Toronto, and an awesome match from Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. But of course Christian interferes to help Luchasaurus win. JB VS Christian will have to wait for Full Gear at earliest because of Christian’s legit arm injury, but when that finally happens, it’ll be a great one.

WARJOE is now a thing, so that’s cool. Of course they beat The Factory, and of course The Embassy starts trouble. And of course FTR shows up to put a stop to that. But what a great surprise that Shawn Spears is back! The Pinnacle minus MJF is all Face, and they’re going to have a great match against The Embassy for Rampage. It could go either way, but since FTR already beat the Gates of Agony, I feel like Pinnacle wins to get past them once and for all. Great stuff out of Billy VS Swerve, including Caster’s rap. But of course Swerve cheats to win as he is the Heel in all this. I just can’t believe Sterling’s gone from MJF’s attorney to frivolous lawsuits to trademark squatting. That titles VS trademark is totally happening, though.

Great tag match from Storm & Shida VS Britt & Hayter. Great win for Shida to get her back into the AEW Women’s title conversation. She’s already got two belts, I don’t think she’ll get the AEW title as a third, but she would give Storm one hell of a match. I still think Full Gear should be Storm VS Hayter for some real hot stuff, all it takes is Hayter getting another win in the next couple weeks to be #1 contender (not that AEW’s own site has updated in weeks). And it’ll definitely be Hayter, not Britt, as Britt might be reserved as Saraya’s opponent for Saraya’s highly anticipated return to in-ring action, assuming Saraya gets cleared in time for Full Gear.

And we got some just incredible promos tonight! MJF putting Stokely in his place and then sharing all that about his self-esteem, that was wild stuff. And then we got great promos from Moxley and Hangman to hype up their title match next week. Hangman’s was stronger, but I just don’t see Moxley losing the title in his hometown. But at the same time, I don’t think it matters which one wins, MJF could/should totally cash in, just to see how fans will react. Fans might compel MJF to go Face, he’s already walking that line. And should MJF get that belt, then it works that Full Gear will be in New Jersey, which isn’t too far from New York, so it’ll practically be a home game for MJF when he takes on Mox, Hangman or both.

My Score: 8.8/10

The Death Riders speak.

It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.

The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Dean tags in, The Infantry stomps away on Cassidy, but the ref counts. Dean stops to kneel on Cassidy, then steps off again. Cassidy throws “shots” on the leg, but Dean stomps Cassidy down! Dean then BLASTS Briscoe & Kyle! The ref reprimands but that just lets Bravo CHOKE Cassidy! The ref reprimands Bravo now as Collision returns to single picture. Dean asks, “Is this camera on me? B! B! C!” BRONCO BUSTER CAPTAIN! Dean bounces, Bravo says if you see Cap in that corner, yo’ ass is a goner! Dean drags Cassidy up, tags Bravo, and Dean sends Bravo in for the SPLASH! When it rains, it pours for STP! Will they just have to regroup and refocus taking over ROH? Will The Conglomeration continue to #ManUp here in AEW?

Will Ospreay speaks.

It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.

“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?

“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Lexy Nair congratulates them on their win tonight, and brings up that Moxley has accepted Kyle’s challenge. Kyle says yes, Moxley is right, Kyle has his number. But facing Moxley has been the biggest test of Kyle’s career, so what’s one more test? This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Cassidy says Willow needs to say something.

Willow says sure, okay. Great job, guys, really. But for her, Double or Nothing, it will be TRIPLE or nothing, because she has THIS bad boy, the TBS Championship! The fans rally as Velvet brings Willow up. Willow shoves Velvet, Velvet counter punches! And counter punches! Velvet fires a flurry, but Willow slips around to waistlock. Red Velvet brought the fire, but she couldn’t cook Willow! Willow is now rolling towards Double or Nothing and her match with Alex Windsor, but will she then head for her second Owen Hart Cup win?

Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.

Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.

“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”

Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?

Backstage interview with Darby Allin.

Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!

And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Or is this one Collision Darby will not walk away from?

He is your hero! And to be honest, for everything that he does, he deserves a standing ovation! Joe certainly applauds, and the fans here in Salisbury join in!

Bowens says if you’re asking what this change of attitude is about… This man, Samoa Joe, has been teaching Bowens all he needs to know: choices have consequences; and if you don’t like the way the table is set, you flip that table over and you choose violence! The fans cheer, and now Joe speaks on the mic. “Oh, Ospreaaaay~…! Do you understand what I do for my friends? But unfortunately, decisions have consequences, and you chose a different road, Will. So allow me to say this: I am truly beyond honored that you consider facing me a dream match.” The fans cheer that, but Joe says it’s just unfortunate that when he gets Ospreay in the ring, “it’ll be nothing but a nightmare.”

Joe & Bowens have made it clear that no matter who, no matter where, and no matter what, The Opps will not show mercy. Will nothing stop The Opps from taking it all here in AEW?

Backstage interview with #Brodido.

Lexy Nair is with Brody King & Bandido, and wants to talk the Owen Hart Tournament. Brody is set to face Claudio while Bandido is up against Swerve Strickland. Next time Brody sees Swerve, he’ll- Bandido stops Brody there, and says no, no, hermano. Bandido loves you, but this is Bandido’s battle, and Brody needs to respect that.

And after Double or Nothing when Bandido beats Swerve, Swerve won’t be a danger to anyone anymore! Both sides of Brodido have spoken, but will either of them knock down Swerve’s House? The respected one, Jamie Hayter, says she had the title stripped away from her and it’s eluded her ever since. Mina laughs and says last night at Supercard, when she locked in the Figure Four on her opponent, she dreamt it was Athena. Athena says Mina is dreaming of her! So flattered! But she hopes Mina has the best dream tonight: Mina’s dead body in a ditch, next to her precious Toni Storm! Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. They argue, but Lexy keeps them from getting physical! Will the Fallen Goddess be unstoppable even in AEW? Or will The Owen will be about #MinaNow?

The Savage King warns Chris Jericho and his team that if they want carnage, they’re gonna get carnage! Will anyone survive the star-studded 7 VS 7 Stadium Stampede?

Backstage interview with Anna Jay.

Lexy Nair is with the Queenslayer and commends her on that great return match against Willow Nightingale a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop the Comeback Killer. Anna gives all the respect to Willow, her moves hurt. Maybe Anna dove into the deep end, but she didn’t drown. So while Willow is still TBS Champion, maybe Willow isn’t quite the Comeback Killer. Anna came back, is still here, and there is still a lot left for them to do. And by that, she means her and Tay Melo! The besties reunite, and Tay says if Anna is back, and she is back, then there’s one thing they gotta do.

Anna tells if they wanna find out what that is, #JustTryUs! TayJay is back again, but are they going to fight their way right to the Divine Dominion’s tag titles?

AEW World Championship No Count Outs: Darby Allin VS Sammy Guevara!

The Relentless One may have gotten MJF to accept the Double or Nothing challenge, but he is always up for a fight! The Spanish God still has the ROH World Tag Team Championship around his waist, but he wants even more gold to show off to his wife and daughter! Who gets what they want tonight to then head for Queens, New York?

As he makes his entrance, Sammy brings a table out from under the ring and sets it up ringside, planning ahead for the wild fight he and Darby are about to have! The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! Sammy puts the belt aside, the bell rings, and Sammy KNEES Darby right outta the ring! Sammy THROWS Darby into railing, THROWS him in again, then goes back to his table! Sammy puts the table by the stage, then he drags Darby up. Sammy THROWS Darby into more railing! And more railing!

Sammy grabs a ladder and he brings it over to his table! The ref reprimands, there are no count outs but there are still disqualifications! Sammy doesn’t seem to care, he still stands his ladder up near that table. Sammy then lines up a shot, and he JUMP KNEES Darby back down! “I’m gonna be the world champion! Me! Not him!” Sammy drags Darby up, puts him on the table, and he rains down fists! Sammy climbs the ladder, goes to the very top, and reminds us that he’s loco! SUPER SWANTON BOMB through the table!! Sammy says #AndNew AEW World Champion! Sammy soaks up more heat, then he drags Darby up.

Sammy is frustrated as Darby survives again. Sammy clamps on with a chinlock, not quite a bulldog choke, but Darby is still sputtering for air. The fans rally as hard as they can, and Darby rises up to fire body shots! Darby runs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS! Darby falls, Sammy covers, TWO!! Darby scrambles away but Sammy stalks him, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Sammy digs his boot into Darby’s face at the ropes, but the ref counts. Sammy stops, talks some trash, then stalks Darby to a corner. Sammy stands Darby up to ROCK him, then push him around. Sammy drags Darby up and THROWS him into railing! Sammy talks more trash, then walks around commentary so he can take a headset and tell everyone what he’s doing as he does it! He stomps Darby, taunts him, then has to go follow Darby around the way.

Sammy follows Darby into the ring, stands him up, but Darby fires hands! Sammy KNEES low, KNEES again and again, then ROCKS Darby! Darby falls over, but Sammy CHOKES Darby on the ropes! The ref counts, Sammy stops, and Darby coughs and sputters again. Sammy has the legs, he puts Darby under the ring, CATAPULT GUILLOTINE! Darby flops down and Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy goes up top, FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO?!?! Sammy has no words, English or Spanish, but Darby flops out of the ring. Sammy goes out after Darby, and he brings out the other table! The fans rally as Sammy brings it over to set up by ringside. Sammy makes sure it is angled just right before he puts Darby on it. The fans boo, but then Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy climbs, reminds us again that he’s loco, and Sammy SUPER 630s only through the table!! Darby avoids disaster, then he puts Sammy back in! COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.

Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.

Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.

Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.

And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.

My Score: 8.9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!

Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.

But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. Winners: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks, by pinfall

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!

Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: Mike Bailey, by pinfall

Another fast ‘n’ furious finish, and Bailey’s on a hot streak! But now, the other side of JetSpeed looks to keep it up! But just who is Kevin Knight defending the TNT Championship against? It’s… BRIAN CAGE!? The Machine finally returns to action, and he has the Don Callis Family with him! Will Cage be able to ground Knight and take this title back to the family?

AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Kevin Knight w/ “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Brian Cage w/ The Don Callis Family!

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who betta!

The bell rings, Cage runs up, but Knight dodges! Knight fires haymakers, Cage shoves him, but Knight dodges. Knight CHPOS, but Cage doesn’t budge! Cage makes the pecs dance, so Knight CHOPS again! The fans cheer as Cage eggs Knight on. Knight urns, leaps, but into Cage’s arms! Cage uses Knight to do curls, then THROWS knight! Knight lands out, RAMS Cage, but Cage comes back! Knight RAMS Cage again, but it’s still not enough! Knight tries a bigger SHOULDER TACKLE, but Cage stays standing! Knight runs one more time, ducks ‘n’ dodges, SATELLITE- NO, Cage stops the DDT! Cage THROWS Knight away!

Knight staggers, Cage SUPERKICKS him down! “Who betta than Cage?!” The fans fire up as Cage storms up on Knight, stands him up, and bumps him off buckles. Cage RAMS into Knight, stands him up, then RAMS again! The ref counts, Cage CHOPS, and the fans cheer. Bailey rallies the fans but Archer coaches Cage, and Cage whips Knight hard into the corner! The fans are torn as Cage hauls Knight up. Cage ROCKS Knight, CHOPS him, then CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Cage stops at 4, then Cage stalks Knight. Cage stands Knight up, whips him to the corner, then runs in, only for Knight to BOOT! Cage still LARIATS!

Cage hauls Knight up, whips him to ropes, but Knight grabs ropes. Knight DUMPS Cage out, then DROPKICKS him down! Cage sputters, the fans fire up, and Knight builds speed to DIVE! But he bounces off Cage! Cage then fireman’s carries, APRON F5! That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

BREAKING NEWS for next week!

If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!

The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!

The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!

The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!

Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10
