PLAY BY PLAY
“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry is here!
Pittsburgh fires up for Jungle Life as this Young Pillar goes to the ring. Jack gets the mic and hears the fans singing along. JB tells Pittsburgh- Wait, Sammy Guevara is here! The Spanish God swaggers out to the ring, to JB’s annoyance. Sammy gets himself a mic while fans boo, and Sammy tells “Jungle Jack, ain’t nobody-” Wait! Darby Allin is here! The Steel City cheers again as the Relentless One makes his own way to the ring. Darby gets his own mic, and he tells Sammy, “out of all the Pillars, I’ve known you the longest. And oddly enough, I like you the most. Out of all three of us standing in the ring, I think to the fans, you’re least qualified to fight for the championship.
“That’s because perception is reality, and the people view you as a follower and not a champion. The biggest difference between me and Sting and you and Jericho, is me and Sting view each other as equals. It’s not called ‘The Sting Appreciation Society.’ But listen, you became TNT Champion on your own. And if you wanna become AEW Champion, you’re gonna have to do it on your own, because I think Chris Jericho is holding you back. But if you have a problem with that, if you and Chris have a problem with that, come say something to me and Sting about it. I’d love to talk it out.”
As for Jungle Boy, or Jack Perry, whatever he goes by nowadays… Darby will go with Jack. But “Jungle Jack” works, too. Out of all the Pillars, JB had to work the least to get here. He was handpicked because of some California Kliq. It’s true! And when he was first announced as AEW’s newest hire, Darby was still living out of his car, not knowing if he’d even make it here. And in that moment, Darby was jealous. But it didn’t take long for the jealousy to disappear, because when he saw what Jack is all about, nothing intimidated Darby. Nothing.
Jack steps up and tells Darby, “I’m standing here, looking at that paint all over your face. And everywhere we go, I look on in the crowd, and I see a bunch of little kids with that same paint on their faces. And all I can think is, ‘Oh boy, if they could only know what you’re really like.'” Darby is antisocial, unfriendly, rude to everyone back there who isn’t “cool enough.” But Darby’s saying he was jealous of JB while living out of his car, all because JB got signed first. But wrestling wasn’t even Darby’s first choice. Darby is only here because he didn’t make it as a skateboarder. Sammy sits back and enjoys this, but JB turns his attention to him!
JB says for Sammy, “it would be an immense challenge to come up with a new way to describe what a dirtbag you are. We don’t have that kind of time, so instead, I might surprise everyone a little bit. And I’ll tell you that out of Darby and MJF, I actually respect you the most. Because for better or worse–and trust me, it is always worse–with Sammy Guevara, what you see is exactly what you get. And hell, I even respect, every time you come out in this ring, you put your body, your life, your future, on the line. And I respect that. But… You are still a scumbag piece of sh*t.” Fans fire up for that one!
Sammy says okay, fine! He was all for talking trash to the face paint freak, but if Jack wants to get real, let’s get real! JB hates MJF so much, but in reality, JB is just like him! Both of them were handpicked to be here as the golden children of AEW! Let’s go back to the first ever Double or Nothing: Darby didn’t work here; Sammy was on the preshow; and after Sammy’s match, he went to the balcony to watch the show, and what’d he see? Bret “The Hitman” Hart was in the ring with MJF and “Jungle Boy.” And we can go back to the most recent PPV: Darby wasn’t on it, and neither was Sammy. But who was? MJF and Jungle Boy!
See, that’s why Sammy can relate the most to Darby. Despite their differences, they are two sides of the same coin. They will do whatever it takes, even risk their lives and do whatever crazy thing to make it, and they did. Fans applaud that because it is true. And honestly, Sammy has to thank Darby. Darby gave Sammy hope in this place. When Sammy wasn’t doing so hot in AEW, he watched as Darby lost match after match, PPV after PPV, and then bam! First Pillar to win a title here. Darby showed everyone that he can break whatever glass ceiling “they” wanna put on them.
Sammy sat back and watched Darby become TNT Champion. Sammy told himself he’d do that, but better, and he did, three times. Darby smirks while Sammy continues. Darby won the TNT title, so Sammy won the TNT title. Darby jumped off something big, so Sammy jumped off something higher, and that’s been their back and forth competition. “But Darby, now it’s your turn to sit back and watch ME as I become the world heavyweight champion!” Fans boo, they were with Sammy until then. JB says that’s what is the real similarity between these two: it’s all about “me me me me me.”
But JB has a “spoiler alert” for them. JACK PERRY is next. But not for him! He’s doing it for every single person who has supported him since day one! But wait, here comes MJF! The AEW World Champion has them cut his music, and oh no! Does Pittsburgh not like him? Good thing he doesn’t care what they think, since they actually think Britt Baker is talented. Facts. But ladies, stop fighting over him, they’re making him blush! He of course means the other Pillars. But he knows they all want after the title, so he had a conversation with his good friend, Tony Khan. Everyone knows they’re friends.
And Tony had an idea that MJF actually agreed with. What they decided to do is that there will be a Pillars Tournament. The winner of that will face MJF for the Triple B at Double or Nothing! Now, the first round, one of these three gentlemen–and MJF uses that term very loosely here–gets a bye. Can we get a hat with some names in it? Thank you, very much. The first bye goes to… Ugh. Darby Allin. Darby’s pumped about that. Fine, whatever! Get out of here, with your p*be beard. Anyway, that means in round one, for the first time ever, it will be Sammy Guevara VS Jack Perry! And that match happens in the main event next- NOPE! TONIGHT!
“Good luck beating the ever loving sh*t tonight, because you both suck!” MJF has them hit his music now so he can leave, he doesn’t wanna look at these shmucks a second longer. Fans are fired up either way, who will come out THE #1 contender to take on the Devil of AEW?

Ruby Soho, Toni Storm & Saraya have been stirring the pot and drawing battlelines, and none more so than with the Pillar & The Killer! But will there be a big L for the DMD and AEW Women’s World Champion? Or will the Outcasts lose big in #Brittsburgh?

But Britt rushes over to SUPERKICK Ruby! PANAMA- NO, Storm boots her!
Ruby hits an STO to the floor! The Outcasts talk trash to the Baker family while AEW goes picture in picture.
Ruby and Saraya “kick rocks” at Britt while Storm brings Hayter around to that side. Storm CHOPS Hayter against the railing, then puts her back in the ring. Storm drags Hayter from the corner to tag in Ruby. Ruby stomps away on Hayter, CHOKES her against the ropes, but lets off as the ref counts. Storm gets her shots in while the ref argues with Ruby! Tag back to Ruby and she puts Hayter on ropes to CHOKE her!
The ref reprimands, Ruby lets off, but Saraya hops up to throw knee after knee after knee into Hayter! Britt and the fans protest but Saraya gets away with it. Ruby bumps Hayter off buckles, tags Storm in, and Storm digs her boot in. Storm lets off with a stomp, then some more stomps, and AEW returns to single picture. Fans rally for Hayter while Storm taunts Britt. Storm runs corner to corner, but Hayter catches her into a fireman’s carry! USHIGOROSHI! Hayter crawls, hot tag to Britt! Winners: Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter, by pinfall
The Outcasts tried all the tricks but it wasn’t enough! The homegrown stars won, but what is the status of Hayter given that attack on her arm? Will Storm, Saraya & Soho find a way to give the champ that L in the end?
Backstage interview with Wardlow.
Renee Paquette is with the Maestro of Mayhem, and says that the last time he faced Powerhouse Hobbs for the TNT Championship, QT Marshall was pretty effective at ringside. Does Wardlow have a different approach to tonight’s match in his hometown? He sure does. It wasn’t too long ago that Wardlow had a Horseman with him ringside. That man taught Wardlow about “evening the playing field.” So Wardlow reached out to another Horseman to do just that. And in walks Arn Anderson! Fans fire up for the Enforcer, and Arn wants to get this “laundry list” right.
They knocked the windows out of Wardlow’s car, took his cash, his credit cards, his passport and flung it aside. All kid’s stuff, until they took his title. Arn knows what that means, he’s been a champ all his life. Does Wardlow wanna do what Arn used to do? Do some of that Horseman stuff? Cuz that wakes people up. Arn says Tully was a smart man who taught Wardlow how to be the best checkers player in AEW. But Arn says tonight, get ready, because now they’re playing chess. Will Double A be just what Wardlow needs to get back on top?
The Elite is here!
Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks returned last week and almost took Jon Moxley’s eye, or worse, in an attempt at vengeance. Fans sing along with Carry On, but Kenny has it wrap so he can speak. “These past couple of weeks are maybe some of the most difficult in my life. BCC, you are four of the most respected professional wrestlers on the planet. That was until you made my friends bleed, you sent my uncle to the hospital, you sent my friends into ambulances with him. And I can’t lie, I’m having trouble sleeping at night. The same image is burned to the back of my brain. The image of seeing that screwdriver in the top turnbuckle.
“And the one thing that I wish I could change about that night is taking that screwdriver out of that turnbuckle… and plunging it into your face, Jon Moxley. So what we have tonight, it wasn’t a meet ‘n’ greet, it wasn’t a get-to-know-you with the fans. I don’t really have much to say. The purpose of us out here is an invitation. Blackpool Combat Club, I wanna see you guys in this ring, and I wanna settle it like men. Let’s squash the beef once and for all.” Fans fire up and The Elite wait. But on the tron is Bryan Danielson saying, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Talk about amateurs! You guys have interview time, and you come out saying ‘I don’t have much to say?’
“Who’s gonna pay to see a monologue from a bunch of amateurs? Nobody pays to go see open mic night in a comedy club.” WAIT! This is a distraction so the rest of the BCC can attack from behind! Moxley CLOBBERS Omega while Yuta and Claudio hit the Bucks! Moxley CHOKES Omega with his jacket! But Nick gets in the ring to FLY out onto Claudio! Yuta and Matt brawl, and Matt SUPERKICKS! Omega RAMS Moxley into the apron, then TOSSES him over the railing! Claudio FLAPJACKS Nick off railing, Matt puts Yuta in the ring. Omega fires off on Moxley, and pulls his shirt over his head, hockey style! Matt aims at Yuta, but Yuta CLOBBERS Matt with the ROH World Championship!
Yuta CLUBS away on Matt’s bad arm! Nick hurries to CLOBBER Yuta! Nick rains down on Yuta but Claudio gut wrenches Nick to a POWERBBOMB!! Omega CLOBBERS Claudio! Omega KICKS Yuta! Omega GERMAN SUPLEXES Yuta! Moxley goes after Omega, Claudio helps mug him, and then Moxley hits a DEATH RIDER!! They stomp away, and Bryan comes out to say, “Exactly what I thought. Nothing but a bunch of amateurs. Except you, Kenny. You’re the one who I thought would be a professional. But maybe you’re not.” WAIT! Don Callis is here!? Don has a chair but Bryan asks what he’s even here.
Don decides to not go through with this and he drops the chair. Don runs off and Bryan says that’s right, run away. That’s the kind of person Kenny surrounds himself with. “Kenny is not an amateur. Kenny has more potential than anybody. But he’d rather just sit in the lobby of his own potential. And if that’s the case… He needs to be gone.” Bryan brings out his screwdriver!! Fans boo while Omega fights against the other BCC. But wait! Don returns, and is sending out Konosuke Takeshita? Yuta goes to intercept but Konosuke CLOBBERS him! Konosuke rushes in and he TOSSES Claudio! And he DECKS Moxley!
Konosuke stands between Bryan and Kenny! Fans fire up, but Yuta gets back in! Konosuke ROCKS Yuta, and Omega V-TRIGGERS! Konosuke gives Yuta a BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Moxley stands up, Omega and Konosuke clothesline Moxley right out! Don joins his golden boys and fans fire up! Don whispers something to Omega, and he raise both men’s hands. Is Konosuke now part of The Elite? Will he be the difference maker in this battle with the BCC?

Arn helped Wardlow get payback on the Powerhouse, and even Penta got his! But wait! Christian Cage is here?! And of course, his Right Hand of Destruction, Luchasaurus, is with him! From a titan to a kaiju, Wardlow isn’t fretting it. Will there be a war of the monsters for this title?
Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.
Renee asks Sammy about tonight’s main event match with JB. The winner is one step closer to facing MJF for the title, so how does Sammy feel about it? But before he can answer, MJF interrupts “Sammy G! The Spanish God! Arrrrriba!” Sammy stops MJF there. They’re not friends so what does he want? First off, harsh. Second, MJF feels he and Sammy got off on the wrong foot, all the way back to the Inner Circle days. MJF has always kinda liked Sammy. MJF doesn’t even mind that Sammy sticks his tongue out more than Gene Simmons on meth. But Sammy’s a great guy. What do you want, Max?! Get to the point!
Alright, well, MJF believes that he has an agreement that would behoove both of them. MJF heard what Sammy said. It tugged at MJF’s heartstrings when Sammy said he was sick and tired of seeing all the other Pillars be more successful than him and watching from the sidelines. Sammy’s words, not MJF’s. But here’s what MJF offers: a guaranteed spot in the main event of Double or Nothing for the AEW World Championship. All Sammy has to do is lie down. And there it is! Of course! Here’s what will actually happen: Sammy will beat Jungle Boy; then Sammy will beat Darby; then Sammy will beat MJF to become the champ.
MJF says Sammy’s a great guy, really. And a hell of a talent! MJF thinks Sammy’s better than… than… uh… Darby and JB combined! But let’s talk odds. The likelihood of Sammy not just beating one, not just beating two, but beating all three other Pillars, and one of them being a generational talent, those are shaky, slim-to-none odds. So again, MJF is offering Sammy a spot on the PPV that Sammy’s never been to, for the world title, the biggest prize of them all, and a blank check with Sammy’s name on it. Write any number you want, and MJF knows Sammy will be fair about that. Sammy writes, and shows it to MJF.
Oh, okay! Is this serious? Yes. Okay, deal. Max… Friends don’t shake hands. Friends hug. They hug, and MJF is happy. Is this deal really going to happen? Or is one “friend” scamming the other?
Jay White w/ Juice Robinson VS Komander!
The Switchblade was expelled from NJPW, but he is here in AEW to reestablish his era! Will King Switch cut a path through the roster all the way to gold? Or will the Catalyst get no reaction out of the luchador?
The bell rings and fans rally for White. “Too Sweet! WOOP WOOP!” White smiles and wants Komander to hear that. Komander nods, and offers a handshake. White shakes it and the two circle. They tie up, White puts Komander in a corner, and the ref counts. White lets off at 4, and he “apologizes.” White offers a handshake now and Komander takes it, only for White to kick low and CLUB Komander down! White stands Komander up to stomp away and talks trash at the same time! The ref counts, White lets off, and he drags Komander up by his mask. White CHOPS Komander down, and Shawn Spears is in the crowd, also wincing at that.
Juice talks some smack and White stands Komander up. White whips, Komander blocks but White whips him back to the corner. White runs in but into a boot! White comes back but Komander dodges. White goes down, Komander aims and goes to the apron. Komander BOOTS White, then goes up the corner, to ARIHARA MOONSAULT! White dodges, Komander lands on his feet, but White kicks low to APRON GOURD BUSTER! Fans lose their minds while AEW goes picture in picture!

The ref reprimands but White TOSSES Komander out. White tries to distract the ref, but the ref is watching Juice too closely. The ref has Juice back off, so White goes out after Komander. White sees Spears and asks what he’s even doing here. Spears says it’s nothing, just focus on the match. White CHOPS Komander but he still watches Spears. Because Spears has a number card to rank that chop! He gives it a FOUR!
White is annoyed but Spears shrugs. White drags Komander back up, to CHOP again! Spears gives that one… a SIX! At least it went up. White puts Komander back in the ring, drags him up again, and scoops to SLAM! White glares at Spears and asks for a score. A NINE! White likes that, but then Spears realizes he made a mistake. He turns the 9 upside down, and it’s another 6! White is getting really annoyed now, and he drags Komander to a cover. TWO, so White tries again. TWO, and White clamps on a chinlock. White grinds Komander down, but Komander fights his way up. Fans rally, and Komander throws body shots!

E!” And then a Hang Loose CHOP! Komander flounders but White drags him back up. White dares Komander to do something, and Komander CHOPS! White CHOPS Komander off his feet! White gets the fans fired up, and he stands Komander up to try again. Komander CHOPS, but White just grins. Komander KICKS! And KICKS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! And SLAPS! And CHOPS! Komander fires off and fans fire up!
Komnader runs, handsprings and arm-drags to then roll White around, into the DRAGON’S LAIR! TWO!!! White CLOBBERS Komander! White is getting mad now and he drags Komander around. White clinches, but Komander fires off elbows! White CHOPS Komander in return! White has Komander in a corner, puts him up top, and slaps him around. White climbs up but Komander slips under to ENZIGURI! White flounders on the top rope, turns himself around, and Komander GAMANGIRIS! Komander climbs up now, and on top of White! Komander has the arm and he bends it back!
But White reaches up to thumb Komander’s eyes! The ref reprimands, but then Komander GAMANGIRIS White to the floor! Fans fire up as Komander goes to the corner. Tightrope walk, but White gets in! White dodges the leap, but Komander dodges the lariat to SUPERKICK! White falls back out and Komander tries again! Tightrope walk all twenty feet! SPRINGBOARD TOPE!! Komander puts White in the ring while fans are electric! Komander salutes, he goes back up, and Spears says this is a TEN! Tightrope SHOOTING STAR!! But he bounces off the cover! Komander crawls to get White, TWO!!
Komander goes up, SPRINGBOARD PHOENIX SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!?!? White survives and Komander can’t believe it! Komander puts White in a drop zone, goes up, “This is Awesome!” as he tries again. PHOENIX- NO, Komander has to bail out as White moves! White clinches, BLADE- NO, Komander slips free and hooks White up in an elevated Octopus! But White powers out to SNAP SLEEPER SUPLEX! And then he drags Komander up into the BLADERUNNER!! Cover, White wins!
Winner: Jay White, by pinfall
White snatches victory from the jaws of defeat! Spears says that was a five. But then Juice goes after Spears! They brawl at ringside but White joins in! Bullet Club Gold mugs Spears! They put him in the ring, but Spears TACKLES Juice! White attacks Spears, the mugging continues, but here comes RICKY STARKS! The Absolute slides in, dodges White and SPEARS Juice! White runs away! Fans fire up for Ricky as he stands tall with Komander and Shawn Spears! Will we see these absolute tens take down Jay & Juice?
Backstage interview with FTR.
Renee is with the AEW World Tag Team Champions, and says this was meant to be about their titles, but she wants them to know that Mark Briscoe is currently being tended to by medical staff. We have footage of earlier today, The Trustbusters/Varsity Athletes jumped Mark! FTR is furious and they hurry to go to medical. Mark already has Team Triple J checking in on him, and Jay Lethal says they’ve got this. FTR says they’re just as much Mark’s friends as Lethal is, but then Mark shouts down all the arguing! Mark wants them to listen. He’s ready to roll, who wants to go with him? They can take out Daivari’s guys right now!
But the doctor, FTR and Team Triple J all agree, that is not going to happen. Mark is in no shape after that. Mark is upset that he isn’t cleared, but FTR says they’ll handle it. Lethal & Jarrett say they’ll handle it, and the arguing continues. Mark has an idea. It should be FTR and Triple J. Lethal doesn’t wanna team with FTR! Aw c’mon, man! Fine. Jarrett says Triple J will lead the way, and Mark wants to have a front row seat. They better whoop some ass! Mark’s mutual friends agree to the terms, but FTR says they’re taking the lead. Will the Sussex County Chicken’s eclectic flock take out Daivari, Nese, Woods & Slim J?
Chris Jericho heads to the ring.
Pittsburgh sing Judas for The Ocho as he’s about to confront the Panama City Playboy! Will The Wizard keep things civil? Or does he have a fireball especially for Adam Cole Baybay? We find out, after the break.
Dynamite returns and Adam Cole makes his entrance! Fans fire up and join in on the “BOOM!” as Cole goes to the ring. Cole gets the mic and Jericho points out Pittsburgh loves Adam Cole. Cole says, “Chris Jericho. For anybody who’s followed my career, they know how much I studied and idolized you. I mean, a lot of the foundation of Adam Cole the pro-wrestler was inspired by Chris Jericho. For god sakes, my catchphrase was inspired by Chris Jericho. I remember being in high school and reading your first book, where you talked about traveling the globe and learning all these different styles of wrestling.
“And I remember saying, ‘Someday, I wanna be like Chris Jericho.’ Now, fast-forward, and here we are in Pittsburgh, Adam Cole and Chris Jericho in the ring for the first time ever. I think that’s pretty damn cool.” Fans cheer that, and Cole wants to start by saying he has a ton of respect for Jericho. Jericho offers Cole a handshake, and Cole takes it. Fans cheer the respect shown, and Jericho says, “Adam Cole, Baybay! I’m glad you said those words about me, those kind words, I appreciate that. I’ve been watching a lot of your stuff recently, and I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and I really wanna say, from the bottom of my heart, that I have… absolutely zero respect for you.”
Fans boo but Jericho says he thinks Cole is an arrogant SOB. The audacity Cole showed to interrupt Jericho’s celebration, giving his little buddy, Keith Lee, a handshake, that was unacceptable. It’s unacceptable for a talent as legendary as Chris Jericho, and Cole is lucky Jericho doesn’t slap his dumb face right here, right now! Cole says he was afraid Jericho was gonna go this route and say those things. Because Cole and a lot of fans in Pittsburgh here think that lately, Jericho’s been a real jagoff. Jericho’s eyes widen as fans echo “JAGOFF! JAGOFF!” Cole says seriously, how hypocritical can Jericho be?
Sure, Jericho surrounds himself with his minions, the JAS, who hang on every word he says and look at him like he’s a god. But speaking of looking, when was the last time Jericho looked himself in the mirror and asked, “Who is the real Chris Jericho? Is the real Chris Jericho an egomaniac who has the JAS win his matches for him? Or is the real Chris Jericho the GOAT? The Demo God? One of the absolute greatest to ever do this?” Do you know who Cole thinks is the real Chris Jericho? “The real Chris Jericho is an insecure, fickle, stupid idiot.” Fans chant “STUPID IDIOT!” and Cole smirks.
Cole tells Jericho not to forget that Jericho wanted to confront Cole, and Cole is right here. Cole doesn’t wanna play games. No more walking down the ramp, giving each other the side eye. Jericho wanted Cole’s attention, he’s got it, so now what? Cole steps closer and Jericho stares him down. Jericho says, “First of all… I am not a jagoff.” Fans disagree but Jericho says, “Second of all, you don’t impress me, Cole. So let me say this. You know how the old saying goes, ‘You never wanna meet your heroes or your idols.’ But in this case, the saying is 100% true. You don’t wanna meet me, you don’t wanna know me, you don’t wanna have anything to do with me.
“So if you’re smart, you’ll turn around and get the hell out of this ring, the ring that Jericho built, right here, right effin’ now!” Cole asks what Jericho’s gonna do about it. What’s he gonna do about it? What’s he gonna do about it?! This! Jericho shoves Cole, and the brawl is on! Fans fire up as Cole has Jericho in a corner and stomps away! But Daniel Garcia rushes out to go after Cole! Garcia stomps Cole, stomps away in the corner, and Jericho storms up to help him! They stomp away on Cole, dig their boots in, and then here comes BRITT! Britt slides in to pull Jericho away! Fans fire up as Britt gets in Jericho’s face!
Jericho tells Britt to back off, but Britt SLAPS him! But wait! The Outcasts return! They slither in and surround Britt! They mug Britt! Fans boo but the enemies of Cole and Britt have the better of them! Jericho CHOKES Cole, and Garcia has cuffs! They cuff Cole to the bottom rope! The Outcasts want Cole to watch as they beat up Britt! Fans boo but the JAS and Outcasts soak it all up. Garcia then hands Jericho a kendo stick! Cole says go ahead, hit him! He dares Jericho! Jericho winds up, but then he looks to Saraya. Jericho hands the kendo stick to Saraya, and Saraya SMACKS Britt! Cole says to stop this, but Saraya smacks Britt again!
And again! And again! Cole and Britt reach for each other but Saraya just fires off! Jericho says, “You see what happens?! You see what happens?!” Saraya almost breaks that kendo stick off on Britt! Jericho and Saraya hug it out, and they all stand tall. Fans call them all POS’s, but they don’t care. Cole apologizes to Britt, but Britt says it wasn’t his fault. Will the Undisputed Couple be able to get revenge on the sports entertainers?
#HardyParty speaks.
Matt says The Firm has been emailing him all day, trying to find out the date and time of their #FirmDeletion! Hardy’s turned the tables on them, because now the Hardy Party is in control. And if you wanna know when this goes down, keep your phones on and charged. Matt tells Jeff it is great to have him back, and Jeff says it is good to be back. And if you wanna know more about all of this, tune in for Saturday Night Rampage as Jeff addresses the AEW fans. “Be there, or be triangular!”

Tarzan Life collides with the Spanish God, but given that deal with the Devil of AEW, will this be nothing more than a formality? Or will Sammy still earn his spot at Double or Nothing?

Will the Devil of AEW and the Spanish God be the ones going Double or Nothing? Or can Darby throw a wrench into their plans next week?
My Thoughts:
A great AEW, with great development for Double or Nothing. I thought we were getting a Triple Threat between the Pillars, or even a Round Robin, but I guess a single elimination tournament is fine because we just saw how it’s gonna play out. Great opening promo to get there to show that there’s heat between even the contenders. MJF and Sammy made a deal, and after a pretty awesome main event, MJF helps screw Jungle Boy over and now we’re getting Sammy VS Darby next week. But those two were so effusive in that celebration, you know this is gonna blow up in someone’s face. Either Darby still wins, or Sammy turns on MJF at the very last moment and they actually fight it out in their match. In the end, though, it still feels like MJF is gonna retain at the PPV.
Really good stuff out of The Outcasts and the AEW Homegrown talent. That tag match was great stuff, and of course Britt is powered up in her hometown. Really good promo from Jericho and Cole, and good attack from Garcia and the Outcasts to beat Cole and Britt down. Now, they made sure to have a detail that kept Hayter out with that bad arm so she couldn’t make the save. But where was Keith Lee on this? Granted, AEW also follows the rule of no male VS female contact, so Keith couldn’t fight the Outcasts off, but he could fend them off. Maybe Cole will bring this up next week. At the same time, Keith’s got Swerve still after him, maybe that is his kayfabe reason for being absent.
Great stuff out of White and Komander, and even Spears bring ringside to troll White with his Perfect Ten score cards was great. Great save by Ricky Starks, too, and with Action Andretti busy helping Darius Martin in ROH, I guess Starks & Spears are gonna be the team going against Bullet Club Gold. Which is great because Spears needs a story to keep his return going, and this isn’t the worst thing to do. Fans still love the Perfect Ten gimmick, he can build momentum in this feud and come out the other side ready for at least a midcard title. Though I thought that with Ricky Starks after the JAS, so who knows.
Speaking of the JAS, really good Six Man Tag, and they kinda threw that stipulation update in with commentary. But either way, I figured the Acclaimed would win. They’re moving on from the JAS, they might even go after the Trios titles with Billy still looking good. Good promo from FTR, Mark Briscoe and Triple J, though the audio wasn’t consistent so it made things rather hectic. To be honest, commentary’s audio was off quite a bit in the first hour, so no question this was all live. But I like the idea of how, now that Mark has been dragged into Triple J, his friends are dragged into working together. It’s very out of the box “can they coexist?” thinking.
Great TNT Championship match, and I like that Arn and Penta countered QT being ringside. Wardlow wins big in his hometown, I hope Hobbs kicks QTV to the curb and then finds a way to bide his time before going after another belt. Great stuff from The Elite and the BCC, and also good continuity. Don didn’t get Hangman, he got Konosuke, because Don’s been trying to court Konosuke to the stable. Konosuke and The Elite are still great as a combo but this has to be a bit of a swerve. Surely something happens to Konosuke and Hangman is the only one The Elite can call upon to fight the BCC in their 4v4 match.
My Score: 8.7/10

The Death Riders speak.
It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.
The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

Will Ospreay speaks.
It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.
“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?
“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.
Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”
Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?
Backstage interview with Darby Allin.
Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Backstage interview with Anna Jay.
Lexy Nair is with the Queenslayer and commends her on that great return match against Willow Nightingale a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop the Comeback Killer. Anna gives all the respect to Willow, her moves hurt. Maybe Anna dove into the deep end, but she didn’t drown. So while Willow is still TBS Champion, maybe Willow isn’t quite the Comeback Killer. Anna came back, is still here, and there is still a lot left for them to do. And by that, she means her and Tay Melo! The besties reunite, and Tay says if Anna is back, and she is back, then there’s one thing they gotta do.
Anna tells if they wanna find out what that is, #JustTryUs! TayJay is back again, but are they going to fight their way right to the Divine Dominion’s tag titles?
AEW World Championship No Count Outs: Darby Allin VS Sammy Guevara!
The Relentless One may have gotten MJF to accept the Double or Nothing challenge, but he is always up for a fight! The Spanish God still has the ROH World Tag Team Championship around his waist, but he wants even more gold to show off to his wife and daughter! Who gets what they want tonight to then head for Queens, New York?
As he makes his entrance, Sammy brings a table out from under the ring and sets it up ringside, planning ahead for the wild fight he and Darby are about to have! The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! Sammy puts the table by the stage, then he drags Darby up. Sammy THROWS Darby into more railing! And more railing!

COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.
Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.
Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.
Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.
And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.
My Score: 8.9/10

MJF arrives backstage.
Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?
10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!
While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!
The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.
Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?
Ricochet & The Demand respond.
They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!
JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!
Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!
Winner: Mike Bailey, by pinfall
Another fast ‘n’ furious finish, and Bailey’s on a hot streak! But now, the other side of JetSpeed looks to keep it up! But just who is Kevin Knight defending the TNT Championship against? It’s… BRIAN CAGE!? The Machine finally returns to action, and he has the Don Callis Family with him! Will Cage be able to ground Knight and take this title back to the family?
AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Kevin Knight w/ “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Brian Cage w/ The Don Callis Family!
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who betta!
The bell rings, Cage runs up, but Knight dodges! Knight fires haymakers, Cage shoves him, but Knight dodges. Knight CHPOS, but Cage doesn’t budge! Cage makes the pecs dance, so Knight CHOPS again! The fans cheer as Cage eggs Knight on. Knight urns, leaps, but into Cage’s arms! Cage uses Knight to do curls, then THROWS knight! Knight lands out, RAMS Cage, but Cage comes back! Knight RAMS Cage again, but it’s still not enough! Knight tries a bigger SHOULDER TACKLE, but Cage stays standing! Knight runs one more time, ducks ‘n’ dodges, SATELLITE- NO, Cage stops the DDT! Cage THROWS Knight away!
Knight staggers, Cage SUPERKICKS him down! “Who betta than Cage?!” The fans fire up as Cage storms up on Knight, stands him up, and bumps him off buckles. Cage RAMS into Knight, stands him up, then RAMS again! The ref counts, Cage CHOPS, and the fans cheer. Bailey rallies the fans but Archer coaches Cage, and Cage whips Knight hard into the corner! The fans are torn as Cage hauls Knight up. Cage ROCKS Knight, CHOPS him, then CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Cage stops at 4, then Cage stalks Knight. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.
Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.
But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
My Score: 9/10
