Backstage interview with Chris Jericho.
Tony Schiavone brings up last week, Adam Cole’s big in-ring return and win over Daniel Garcia, and then Jericho walking out to the ring. What was Jericho’s reason for going out there? Jericho says he has nothing against Adam Cole. Cole is a tremendous talent and a huge part of AEW, and Jericho is happy that Cole is back after nine months. Jericho is always happy to see someone return from serious injury. Cole had a great match against Garcia and he won. Britt Baker goes out there, Cole’s got the girl. The streamers fly, and Cole’s got the celebration. But it kept going on and on and on and on.
Meanwhile, Daniel Garcia, “one of my right hand men in the Jericho Appreciation Society, and one of the greatest talents of this generation or any other, is lying in the ring as you continue to celebrate. You punked him out, Cole. You made him look like a piece of trash. And I had to put an end to it. It’s unacceptable, and I had to stop your disrespect.” But then someone clears their throat and walks in. Keith Lee was passing by and he heard Jericho talking about disrespect. But since Keith’s been here, Mr. Jericho, you are the poster boy for disrespect. Now, Keith won’t harp on the things Jericho has done to show this, but Keith has had a couple wars with Adam Cole.
And while Keith may not be particularly fond of Cole, he does respect him. Jericho, perhaps, next week in Milwaukee, will learn a thing or two about respect. Keith gets in Jericho’s face and Jericho backs off. Will the Limitless One humble Le Champion?

Backstage interview with The Outcasts.
Renee Paquette is with Saraya, Toni Storm & Ruby Soho, and says we saw Hayter successfully defend the AEW Women’s World Championship. Soho leads the Outcasts in a sarcastic congratulations and applause. But Hayter shouldn’t get too attached to that title. The Outcasts are here to bring some “much needed control back to the women’s division.” And they are gonna do that when one of them becomes champion. Renee points out there is only one title and three of them, how are they- Saraya cuts Renee off there to tell her to stop stirring the pot. They will cross that bridge when they get to it.
Storm adds that who gets it isn’t even the concern. What’s important that Hayter loses the title. Renee thanks them for their time, Saraya shows off the new merch shirt. Will either the Revolution, the Runaway or the Lightning strike down the Hayter?
The Jericho Appreciation Society is on stage.
Matthew Menard, Angelo Parker and Jake Hager, specifically, are here, and Menard asks, “Do you wanna know… what makes Daddy Magic’s nipples hard~?” Fans oddly do. “How about the fact that The Acclaimed is gonna be joining the Jericho Appreciation Society, the epitome of sports… enner-tay-ners!” But speaking of, here come The Acclaimed! Max Caster of course has the mic, so “Yo! Listen! Platinum on the mic, I’m nice with row rhymin’. Damn it feels good to be home on Long Island!
“You want us to join, but we can’t, tho. Jericho’s full of more sh*t than George Santos! You lookin’ so strange there. Lookin’ like you hang with the Cocaine Bear! We got the whole place sizzlin’. JAS stands for Just Acclaimed Scissorin’!” Bowens then gest the mic to say, “LOOONG ISLAAAAND~! The Acclaimed have arrived! SCISSOR ME-” But Parker has it cut off! They want The Acclaimed to come back over to the stage so they can clarify something! Because by the sound of it and that rap, ol’ Cool Hand Ange thinks they wanna fight! Together! And that’s a great idea! They got a match for Rampage, 8 Man Tag! Because everyone loves the Jericho Acclaimed Society!
“NOW SCISSOR ME, DADDY MATT!” Billy Gunn says no, hold on. No. “Scissoring should only be done by professionals, so Anthony, let’s show them how this is done.” And… “SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS~!” AND HE DOES~!! Fans fire up, but is that match on Rampage now going to be 2v2?
MJF visited the Town of Oyster Bay Town Hall.
“This place doesn’t just feel like home, this place is home. And it means the world to me that I now have the key to that home. It means everything to me.” Oyster Bay town supervisor, Joseph Saladino, says that if you want something in life, you work hard for it, give 110% and you never let go of your dream. MJF’s dream has come true, and that makes him a Town of Oyster Bay hero. MJF says if you wanna be at the pinnacle of this business of professional wrestling, the AEW World Championship is the belt to win, and he is the guy holding that belt, so he is the guy to beat. But nobody’s beating him, because he’s a Long Islander, and you can’t beat Long Islanders.
And now, it’s MJF Day!
There’s a live jazz band playing as Justin Roberts gives the introductions to a “wonderful new show. A man, and his music. The music of Mike Rogers and his Great Band.” The LED tron rises like a curtain to reveal the band as they play. “And the man is M! J! F!” MJF walks out and Long Island erupts with cheers! MJF goes to the mic, and as the graphic says, “The Pride of Long Island” welcomes them to his day. He is the Host with the Most, the Devil Himself, Maxwell Jacob Friedman. And right now, they are here to celebrate the most important day of them all, MJF Day. They’re celebrating it live in “the most magical place in the world, known as LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK!”
And it’s so magical here that when it rains, it doesn’t rain water, it rains… pennies from heaven. Hit it, Mike! If you can’t tell, MJF’s about to sing a very upbeat rendition of Pennies from Heaven. MJF even adlibs with Adam the saxophonist. “I knew I’d get ya! Long Island, clap for me, baby!” Fans get into it as MJF struts around on the ramp. MJF keeps the show going as he gets in the ring, where the AEW World title sits on a podium and there’s another one with “Congrats MJF” on it. Fans are thunderous for the musical number, and then Justin introduces Saladino. Fans are a bit torn on him, though.
Saladino introduces himself but MJF has him hold on to tell the fans this is a great guy. Saladino’s given MJF the Key to Long Island, so don’t screw this up for him. Fans still boo but Saladino says that Max Friedman, “you are the Pride of Long Island!” Fans agree with that. “We love the way you wear Long Island so proudly on your sleeve. Max, you are a world champion, and our hometown champ! So it is my distinct honor and privilege to present you, Mr. MJF, with the Key to Long Island!” Fans cheer as MJF looks at the big orange key with the letters “NY” forming the handle. Saladino says MJF deserves it. Isn’t he right?
Finally, Saladino is here to announce that April 5th is officially MJF Day in the Town of Oyster Bay! And also, the key they presented him before turned out to be a little below MJF’s standard. So they made a much bigger one, just for MJF! Let’s hear it for the hometown hero, MJF! MJF says, “Give it up for Joe, huh? Give it up for Joe!” Fans boo, but MJF says he’s talking now, so what’s going on? Fans cheer, and MJF says obviously, this is a huge honor, and if he’s being completely honest, some would say, “You Deserve It! Clap clap, clap clap clap.” Fans echo that for MJF and he smiles.
There are people out there who don’t deserve it! Like Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin, and worst of all, Jungle Boy. Fans boo those names, and MJF says the only thing Jungle Boy’s ever gonna have is “a girlfriend with a wandering eye and a tiny little penis. It’s true, it’s true. But right now, I’d like to tell you people a quick little story that I hope you find inspiring about my childhood here in Long Island, New York. And no, this ain’t lore, this is my life. This ain’t a villain origin story, because I’m MJF 24/7, baby.
“Now, when I was a kid, and still to this day, I suffer from a learning disability called Attention Deficit Disorder. And yeah, let’s clap it up for ADD, huh? Who’s got it?” Fans chant for “A D D! A D D!” MJF smiles, and says that obviously, “growing up with ADD had its disadvantages at times. No matter how hard I would try to focus in school, it just wouldn’t happen for me. Now there was one teacher in eighth grade who just wasn’t sympathetic. Her name was Mrs. Benedict.” Fans boo her and MJF says just wait, he’s not even through with her. But Mrs. Benedict would pounce on MJF like a lion.
She would wait for him to lose concentration, and she would say, “Maxwell, answer this question on the board.” MJF would say that he doesn’t know the answer, and she would laugh at him. And then she would say, “See class? Don’t be like Mr. Friedman.” This would happen every single day in school, and on the last day of school, Mrs. Benedict would pull him aside, and… Can they raise the volume on the mic so MJF doesn’t have to hunch over like a shmuck? Can you hear him now? “Yes!” Can they? “YES!” Okay. So, as he was saying, on the last day of school, Mrs. Benedict would pull MJF aside, and she said, “Maxwell, where does your brain go during my class that you can’t pay attention?”
And MJF’s answer was simple: Professional wrestling. Because MJF daydreamed about being world champion, and Mrs. Benedict told him, “The probability of that happening is slim to none.” Fans boo Mrs. Benedict more, but MJF tells her that her math was a bit off. Because MJF just got the key to Long Island, because this is MJF Day here forevermore, and because he is the reigning, defending, AEW World Heavyweight Champion!! Fans cheer that! MJF says he has a lesson for the fans: Don’t be like Mrs. Benedict. And by that, he means, “Don’t be a stupid b*tch.” Fans really cheer that!
MJF continues by saying if you’re a Long Islander kid who struggles in school, and he only means Long Islanders because he don’t speak to disgusting poorers. If you’re a Long Islander struggling, and people are telling you that you can’t accomplish your dreams, then just know that if you bust your ass, you can be anything you wanna be. Except one thing: MJF! HAHAHA! Because he is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and he is better than you, and YOU KNOW IT! Long Island still cheers, and MJF picks up his belt to leave. MJF still has the mic, though, and he asks the fans if they want an encore. They do!
Wait, do they want an encore? “YES!” Do you want an encore?! Wait, who hits those cymbals? MJF is furious! They practiced this for months! How could this guy get this wrong!? The cymbalist apologizes, but then surprise! It’s JUNGLE BOY IN DISGUISE!! MJF is busy apologizing to Long Island, and JB TACKLES him! Fans boo as JB Rains down fists on their champion! MJF turns it around, but then JB turns it back around! JB CHOKES MJF, but MJF turns it back around! Security and producers rush out to stop this but fans want to “Let Them Fight!” But here comes Sammy Guevara! Fans boo even more as the Spanish God now gets his turn in the #1 contenders race.
Sammy looks at the belt on the ground, picks it up, and MJF is even angrier now! Sammy holds the belt up, but will he even make it to pole position?
Sammy Guevara VS Komander!
The bell rings and Sammy KNEES Komander out of the ring! Sammy builds speed while fans boo, and Sammy slides, only for Komander to dodge! Komander comes back, Sammy jumps the slide to ASAI MOONSAULT! Direct hit and Sammy brags that he is the next champion! Sammy puts Komander in, fans chant, “You Still Suck!” Sammy soaks it up, goes up the corner, and he leaps, into a SUPERKICK! Fans fire up as Komander puts Sammy in a drop zone. Komander goes up, tightrope walks and SHOOTING STAR PRESSES! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and bails out, clutching his ribs.
Fans fire up with Komander as he goes up another corner. Komander tightrope walks all 20 feet to the other corner, for the FLYING- JUMP KNEE!! Sammy takes Komander out of the air and Dynamite goes picture in picture!
Sammy slides in, soaks up the heat, then he spins and poses. Sammy’s cocky as ever as he does mat angels. The ring count climbs, Komander gets in at 5 of 10, but Sammy kicks him right back out. Sammy goes out after Komander, drags him up and brings him around to CHOKE him against barriers! Then Sammy CLUBS Komander, brings him around the way, and RAMS him into more barriers. Sammy swaggers, he stands on the barriers to soak up more heat, and then goes back to Komander. Sammy puts Komander in the ring, then taunts the fans. Sammy goes in the ring, brings Komander around, and stomps him down.
Sammy continues to swagger, then he has the Jericho cocky cover. TWO, and Komander grabs at Sammy. Sammy brings Komander up, and Komander CHOPS him! Sammy DECKS Komander! Komander flounders to a corner, Sammy brings him up against ropes and CHOPS! Komander falls down and Sammy digs his knees in at the ropes. The ref reprimands, Sammy lets off, and he brings Komander up. Sammy snap suplexes, covers, TWO! Komander hangs in there but Sammy sits him up into a chinlock. Sammy thrashes Komander around and Dynamite returns to single picture.
Fans rally, Komander endures and fights his way up. Sammy shakes his head, we see Jungle Boy watching backstage with security staff keeping an eye on him, and perhaps an eye out for MJF. Sammy KNEES Komander low, suplexes him, but Komander throws knees! Sammy still goes to ropes, but Komander lands on the apron to GAMANGIRI Sammy away! Komander springboards to FLYING POISON-RANA! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and scrambles away! Fans fire up for Komander as he goes up the corner. Komander tightrope walks again, for the SUPER MOONSAULT! Direct hit and fans lose their minds!
Komander puts Sammy in, salutes, and then goes up the corner again. Tightrope SHOOTING STAR, but he has to bail out as Sammy moves! Komander BOOTS Sammy to the floor! Komander builds speed, fans fire up, but Sammy slides in! Komander tiger feints to SPRINGBOARD PHOENIX SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Komander pushes Sammy down into the drop zone and fans fire up again. Komander climbs, tightrope walks again, to SHOOTING STAR onto knees! Sammy covers, TWO!! Komander survives but Sammy slashes his throat! Torture rack, “I’m your next world heavyweight champion, Max!” GO TO- NO, Komander cradles! TWO!!
Sammy SUPERKICKS! Komander staggers to a corner, Sammy runs in, but Komander puts him on the apron. Sammy ROCKS Komander, climbs up, but Komander GAMANGIRIS! Komander staggers his way to the adjacent corner, and he climbs up again. Darby watches from the rafters just like Sting used to do, and Komander tightrope walks again, but Sammy intercepts with a FLYING CUTTER!! Sammy hurries to torture rack, GO TO HOSPITAL!! Cover, Sammy wins!
Winner: Sammy Guevara, by pinfall
Fans boo but the Spanish God gets a win and keeps pace in the race! Tony Schiavone goes to the ring to interview Sammy, while we see Darby, JB and even MJF are watching. Tony says Sammy wins again, proving he is to be considered for a title shot. Sammy takes the mic to say, “Hey, look, Tony! I just did something the world champion doesn’t do: WRESTLE!” Fans boo but Sammy has a point… “Honestly, what was that s*it I was just watching? American Idol?” Fans tell Sammy to STFU but Sammy tells Max that he came out here and said he beat every single one of the Pillars. But let’s be honest, when MJF and Sammy got in the ring, what actually happened?
Sammy wants us to go back: Jacksonville in 2021, the main event of Dynamite. Sammy had MJF beat! Until another person MJF was using came out and helped him. MJF didn’t beat Sammy, Shawn Spears and a steel chair did, you b*tch! Fans boo but again, Sammy has a point. “So if we’re supposed to be the Four Pillars, the four people that’ve been building up this company since day one, and will continue to build it to higher heights, it’s safe to say your side wasn’t built by you. Your side was built by the people you tricked to get here. You lied, you cheated, you manipulated your way to the top. And honestly, Tony, I’m almost jealous of it.
“But Max, you’re finding out what I already know: that I would hate who I was if I wasn’t myself getting to the top. Because who the hell are you, Max? You were Cody’s friend, and then you were not. You were Tony’s friend, and then you’re not. You were in the Inner Circle, then you’re not. You were in the Pinnacle, then you’re not. You’re in The Firm, then you’re not. Max, you did the one thing that I will never do: you sold your soul to be a Pillar here. And that’s why as far as my side, and how this was built, I built this sh*t brick by brick, match after match, moment after moment after moment after moment! I poured my heart and my soul into this place!”
The fans keep booing but Sammy says he doesn’t care. They can boo or cheer, he’s not going anywhere. Sammy loves AEW! He’s not using this place to go anywhere else. This place has given him so much more than he could ever ask for. He met his wife, Tay Melo, here. He won titles and main evented PPVs, so he’ll be damned if “some rich b*tch from sh*tty Long Island, of all places, tear everything down with his bidding war of 2024. So screw Jungle Boy! Screw Darby Allin! And screw MJF! Because Sammy Guevara is your world heavyweight champion!” Sammy drops the mic and MJF seethes. Will the Spanish God earn that shot against the Devil of AEW?
FTW Championship: Hook VS Ethan Page w/ Matt Hardy & Isiah Kassidy!
The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil has been dealing with The Firm for months now, but has almost cleared them all out. He beat Moriarty, Morrissey, Hardy, and even Stokely, but now he is dealing with All Ego. Will Ethan be the one to #SendHook home with a loss? Or will nothing stop Hook’s undefeated streak?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see Long Island’s other hometown hero in action!
The bell rings and Hook circles with Ethan. The fans rally up, Ethan talks trash on Hook then talks trash on Long Island. Ethan takes a swing, but Hook catches him for a T-BONE SUPLEX! Ethan bails out but Hook pursues. Ethan RAMS Hook into the apron, then RAMS him into steel steps! Ethan talks more trash, then whips Hook into the POST! Fans boo but Ethan soaks it all up. Ethan says, “This is your guy right here? I’m winning, a-hole!” Ethan then puts Hook in the ring, stalks him, and Ethan says this one’s for Hardy. Ethan copies Hardy’s dancing around, kicks and TWIST- NO, Hook slips free!
Hook kicks low, and he reels Ethan in, for a TWIST OF FATE!! Fans fire up but Kassidy gets on the apron. The ref stops him, but Hook stares Kassidy down. Kassidy argues with the ref, keeps him and Hook distracted, and Ethan grabs the belt! But then Hardy grabs the other end! They tug-o-war and Ethan doesn’t understand! Hardy CLOBBERS Ethan with the belt!! fans fire up and Kassidy backs off. Hook gets Ethan with REDRUM!!! Ethan fades out, fans chant “DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!” with Hardy, and Ethan is DONE! Hook wins!!
Winner: Hook, by submission (still FTW Champion)
#HardyParty smiles as they leave, they suckered Ethan in! Was this what that wink on Rampage was about? Hook fist bumps Hardy & Kassidy, maybe the hook was in! Will Stokely and the rest of The Firm have something to say about this?
Nigel McGuiness is backstage!
We saw Nigel rejoin ROH on Friday for Supercard of Honor, and now he is also #AllElite as part of the interviewer staff. As such, he is with Tony Khan for the huge announcement. There have been moments in Nigel’s life he could never imagine, and for him, what is coming is one of those moments. Khan thanks Nigel for that, and is also so excited for this. “Five years ago, before AEW was founded, four pioneers, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and Kenny Omega, put on a show called All In. It was the biggest independent wrestling show of all time, and it got interest from around the world.
“Now flash five years later, AEW is going to make our debut in London, England, Sunday, August 27th, for the first-ever AEW All In! It’s going to be one of the biggest shows in the history of the company, AEW All In, August 27th, in London, England. AEW’s debut in London is a huge event, we’re both very excited about it. And now, here to announce the site of AEW All In London is a man cut from the same cloth as those visionary pioneers five years ago.” It’s ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!
And Cole gets right to it: “August 27th, AEW All In, is coming to London Wembley Stadium. We’re gonna celebrate 100 years of Wembley Stadium, 100 years of Warner Brothers! And together, with the AEW fans in London, AEW All In, we celebrate Wembley Stadium, baybay!” A historic stadium, a historic moment, what history will be made in AEW’s first-ever UK show?
Six Man Tag: Blackpool Combat Club VS ???
The American Dragon returned to shock the world by siding with the new, more brutal Moxley, Claudio & Yuta! Will the Maniac, Swiss Superman and Decoder look to begin BCC’s dominance in the Trios Division?
The BCC takes their time making their entrance while Dynamite is picture in picture. Then they rush the ring to CLOBBER all their opponents! One falls out of the ring, leaving Moxley and Claudio to mug “The Dime Piece,” and Yuta goes after the third man. The ref reprimands but Moxley whips Dime so that Claudio can POP-UP UPPERCUT! Yuta keeps giving CHOPS to his opponent, but then Claudio & Moxley DOUBLE HIP TOSS that guy across the ring! Yuta keeps on the CHOPS while Moxley & Claudio keep the others out of the ring. The bell finally rings, this match has officially begun!
Claudio & Moxley drag the biggest man up at the ramp, for an ASSISTED PILEDRIVER!! Yuta rains down forearms, then he roars as he circles the man. Yuta gets the leg for a HALF CRAB! Dime Piece returns, BOOTS Yuta, but Yuta just glares at him! Moxley grabs Dime for a SLEEPER! Claudio brings Dime around to RAM him into the corner! But the third man gets Yuta in a waistlock, only for Yuta to smirk and shake his head. Yuta switches and GERMAN SUPLEXES the third man down! Then he rains down HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS!! The third man is a ragdoll as Yuta puts on the HAMMERLOCK CROSSFACE! The guy taps, the BCC wins!
Winners: Blackpool Combat Club, by submission
The ref reprimands as Yuta isn’t letting go! Yuta lets go when Claudio says, and then Moxley RAMS Dime into railing! Claudio puts a CROSSFACE on the third man! Bryan gets the mic and clears his throat to say, “You see, I was at home with my family, and I love my family. You know who else I love? I love Jon Moxley and him ripping at people’s mouths.” He’s literally doing that to one of the opponents right now! Bryan says he also loves Claudio Castagnoli and how he destroys people. And he also loves Yuta, even if he’s being a little sh*thead! And do you know what else Bryan loves? He loves pro-wrestling!
Bryan asks if these guys they just beat look like professionals. The fans say, “NO!” Right, they look like guys the EVPs might’ve hired, when they’re nothing but a bunch of amateurs! IMPOTENT AMATEURS! And as he looks around the building tonight, Bryan thinks the four members of the BCC are the only pro-wrestlers here tonight. But wait! Here comes Hangman Page! The Cowboy storms right down to the ring and Bryan says, “Oh, boy! Here comes another amateur!” Hangman gets right in the ring and Bryan eggs him on. Hangman fires off on Moxley, but he gets mugged 3v1! Bryan hangs back as the rest beat Hangman against the ropes!
Bryan calls Hangman an amateur, and then Claudio rains down forearms! “You wanna know what a professional is? Claudio is a professional! You wanna know what a professional is? Mox is a professional!” And now Moxley rains down forearms! “You wanna see what a professional is? Wheeler is a professional!” And now Yuta gets his turn! Bryan loves these men! And y’know what? Hangman has NO ONE who loves him! Where’s anyone coming out from the back? NO ONE is coming out to save Hangman, because no one loves him! In fact, they don’t even know what love is! Fans boo as the BCC all just stomp away!
Bryan says he knows what love is. In fact, when he was at home, he was teaching his kids a few things. He has a screwdriver?! Bryan says he taught the kids how to fix stuff around the house. “And the house that is AEW needs to be fixed up, from all these amateurs!” The BCC drags Hangman up as Bryan keeps shouting, “AMATEURS!” Bryan looks at the screwdriver, then at Hangman’s face. Bryan DIGS IT INTO HANGMAN’S FACE!! Maybe even the eyes!! Fans boo but Bryan says, “Hangman is an amateur. Like I said, we are the only real professional wrestlers in this building tonight! We are the only real professional wrestlers in AEW tonight!
“Hell, from what I’ve seen this week, we are the only real professional wrestlers in all of damn America tonight!” Fans are torn, as Bryan’s brutal methods and bold statements are in complete contrast. Will Hangman even be able to see after what Bryan did to him?
BREAKING NEWS for Rampage!

Plus, The Acclaimed are still having to go through with the 8 Man Tag team-up with Menard & Parker! Will teaming with the JAS convince Caster & Bowens to accept the offer after all? And the NEW ROH World Tag Team Champions, the Lucha Brothers, have their first defense against QT Marshall and the AEW TNT Champion, “Powerhouse” Hobbs! Hobbs has already beaten Rey Fenix and Pentagon separately, will he be able to beat them at the same time?
AEW World Tag Team Championships, Titles VS Careers: The Gunns VS FTR!
These are the highest stakes you could have in a tag title match. Austin & Colten didn’t want to take this match, until Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler put the one thing on the line they had to give: their careers here in AEW. My Thoughts:
A great AEW, lots of great surprises, and honestly, this is the one time where AEW took jabs at WWE and I feel like it was warranted. First, this had more surprises than the Raw After Mania under the returning Vince McMahon. Jay White was either going to AEW or WWE, and his decision was kinda made for him. White and Juice beat down Starks, so Starks has been dragged into another story against a faction. A shame for Starks, but Starks taking on White is going to be great stuff. Christian Cage’s return was quick, and didn’t have dialogue, but Luchasaurus also returning is cool stuff. Just not sure what they’re gonna do right now with most titles spoken for.
Great title matches, something else Raw After Mania didn’t even try to do. The Trios title match was awesome stuff, but I had a feeling the House of Black was going to win. As great as Best Friends are, the House’s reign wasn’t going to end just yet, and Cassidy isn’t going to be a double champion so soon. I do like that LFI is still involved in both AEW and ROH, and Cassidy VS Dralistico for Battle of the Belts 6 is going to be great stuff. In fact, so will the ROH World Tag Team Championship match. I appreciate the continuity that Hobbs having beat both Fenix & Penta means he gets a tag title shot, but pretty sure that means QT takes the loss.
Awesome match from Hayter VS Riho, but naturally, Hayter won as there’s still a lot for her to do as champ. As such, The Outcasts had a good promo establishing that they’re all coming for Hayter. Honestly, Hayter should just face each one in turn. Granted, Hayter already beat Storm 1v1, and beat the other two in a Triple Threat, which she could/should point out in a promo, but she might as well face them all again until they’re ready to Blood & Guts. Which they need to do, why else make the Women’s Division choose sides? And great little moment between JAS and Acclaimed, though clearly JAS isn’t getting it. Maybe they’ll see The Acclaimed don’t care in that 8 Man Tag.
Great stuff for the MJF Day segment. I’m surprised it’s been this long since MJF’s had a musical number in AEW. He nailed it, fans loved it, and I like that JB was in disguise to attack him. The fans didn’t like that, so this kinda distorts the Face-Heel dynamic for anyone unfamiliar with AEW. JB seems to be the frontrunner in terms of the title chase, with MJF saving him for last and JB getting after MJF. But Sammy had a great part to play, with just an awesome match with Komander, and even a great promo to follow where he got to call MJF out. Now we just need Darby to do the same and then the possibilities will really be endless. Any of the three could face MJF and have an awesome match at Double or Nothing.
Then, awesome news that AEW is going to London and bringing the “All In” name back. Can’t wait to see what happens there. Great FTW Championship, and I love that Hardy chose this moment to spring his trap on Ethan. Though, it seems we’re getting this again, though maybe with Hardy in Hook’s corner, not Ethan’s. Hopefully, Hook wins that one, too, and it is revealed that Hardy & Kassidy are now free of The Firm. Great stuff out of the BCC, and I find it kinda funny when we don’t get any of the names of the jobbers. Bryan’s promo was great stuff, he was bringing back a lot of what made his “Champion of the Earth” Heel persona in WWE so great. Him taking a screwdriver to Hangman’s face was nuts, though. The Elite didn’t show up, but maybe they respond next week.
And an awesome main event with the Titles VS Careers match. This match in and of itself could represent the audible FTR called in real-life. If HHH was still in charge of the WWE, FTR might’ve lost so they could go back to WWE. But seeing as Vince slithered his way back into creative, FTR won to be champions again and stay in AEW. Though to be fair, FTR winning was probably the better option no matter what was going on in the WWE. FTR beat the Gunns to get revenge for before, and they can face any number of teams in this new title reign.
My Score: 9/10

The Death Riders speak.
It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.
The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Cassidy says okay, and he raises his hands, to then slowly, slowly, put them in his pockets!

B! C!” BRONCO BUSTER CAPTAIN! Dean bounces, Bravo says if you see Cap in that corner, yo’ ass is a goner! Dean drags Cassidy up, tags Bravo, and Dean sends Bravo in for the SPLASH! Will Ospreay speaks.
It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.
“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?
“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?

Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.
Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”
Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?
Backstage interview with Darby Allin.
Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Backstage interview with Anna Jay.
Lexy Nair is with the Queenslayer and commends her on that great return match against Willow Nightingale a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop the Comeback Killer. Anna gives all the respect to Willow, her moves hurt. Maybe Anna dove into the deep end, but she didn’t drown. So while Willow is still TBS Champion, maybe Willow isn’t quite the Comeback Killer. Anna came back, is still here, and there is still a lot left for them to do. And by that, she means her and Tay Melo! The besties reunite, and Tay says if Anna is back, and she is back, then there’s one thing they gotta do.
Anna tells if they wanna find out what that is, #JustTryUs! TayJay is back again, but are they going to fight their way right to the Divine Dominion’s tag titles?
AEW World Championship No Count Outs: Darby Allin VS Sammy Guevara!
The Relentless One may have gotten MJF to accept the Double or Nothing challenge, but he is always up for a fight! The Spanish God still has the ROH World Tag Team Championship around his waist, but he wants even more gold to show off to his wife and daughter! Who gets what they want tonight to then head for Queens, New York?
As he makes his entrance, Sammy brings a table out from under the ring and sets it up ringside, planning ahead for the wild fight he and Darby are about to have! The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.
Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.
Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.
Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.
And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.
My Score: 8.9/10

MJF arrives backstage.
Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?
10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!
While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.
Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?
Ricochet & The Demand respond.
They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!
JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!
Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!
Winner: Mike Bailey, by pinfall
Another fast ‘n’ furious finish, and Bailey’s on a hot streak! But now, the other side of JetSpeed looks to keep it up! But just who is Kevin Knight defending the TNT Championship against? It’s… BRIAN CAGE!? The Machine finally returns to action, and he has the Don Callis Family with him! Will Cage be able to ground Knight and take this title back to the family?
AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Kevin Knight w/ “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Brian Cage w/ The Don Callis Family!
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who betta!

He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.
Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.
But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
My Score: 9/10
