Freshly Squeezed is still a fighting champion, even after all the damage he’s taken. Meanwhile, “Dunkzilla” Mark Davis is unfortunately injured, so Aussie Open had to vacate the tag titles they’d collected. Will the Aussie Arrow rebuild the collection? Or will Cassidy be on a roll going into Double or Nothing?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if Kyle beats the pulp out of Orange!
The bell rings and Kyle rushes up but Cassidy stays in the corner. The ref has Kyle stay back, and Cassidy takes his sunglasses off. And Kyle GAMANGIRIS! And suplexes to BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives this fast and furious start, and Kyle drags Cassidy up. Kyle swings but Cassidy slips out! Cassidy shoves Kyle to a corner, runs in, but Kyle dodges to shove Cassidy. Cassidy goes to the apron but Kyle DROPKICKS him down! Fans fire up, Kyle builds speed and he DIVES! Direct hit and Cassidy hits railing! Kyle puts Cassidy in, then runs to LARIAT him down! Cover, TWO! Cassidy is still in this and he hurries away.
Kyle is annoyed and a ring count starts. Kyle goes out to the apron, then climbs up the corner. Cassidy rises, and Kyle mocks putting hands in his pockets. But Cassidy SHOVES Kyle off! Kyle crashes hard on the apron! Cassidy then climbs up, leaps, and APRON DDTS! Kyle falls to the floor, Cassidy rolls into the ring and lets the count handle this. Kyle stands at 6 of 10, so Cassidy goes out to give him BEACH BREAK to the floor!! The ring count restarts and Cassidy leaves Kyle behind. The count passes 5 of 10, Kyle sits up at 7, but he’s dazed! Kyle springs in at 9.5!! But Cassidy covers, TWO! Kyle covers, TWO!
Cassidy runs in, Kyle dodges the punch but Cassidy blocks the kick. Cassidy holds his hands up, but then he ducks the superkick to SHOTGUN! Cassidy kips up but Kyle SUPERKICKS! Fans fire up, Kyle covers, TWO! Kyle rains down fists on Cassidy, and even elbows! Fans rally and duel as Kyle goes to a corner. “AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!” “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” Kyle drags Cassidy up, suplexes, and he holds Cassidy up! Kyle walks around with Cassidy, Cassidy drops his hands, and Kyle SLAMS him down! Cover, TWO! Cassidy is still in this and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Kyle is frustrated, but Cassidy still clutches his neck as he goes to a corner. Kyle wants Cassidy to stand, and then Kyle runs in corner to corner. But Cassidy drops out of the ring! Kyle is further frustrated while Cassidy rests on the ramp. The count starts, there is Champion’s Advantage here, but Cassidy dares Kyle to come out after him. Kyle obliges, but then Cassidy slides into the ring! Cassidy now dares Kyle to get back in. Kyle slides in, but Cassidy rolls out. Kyle does his best to keep his cool over Cassidy but Cassidy raises his hands, and puts them in his pockets! Kyle mockingly applauds, and then rushes out!
Cassidy rolls back in, and he lounges! The trolling continues but Kyle is keeping his cool. Kyle hops onto the apron, and Cassidy rolls all the way out the other side. Kyle rushes after Cassidy, the cat ‘n’ mouse continues but Kyle runs around the outside. Cassidy just rolls around inside so that he’s perfectly at the center. And then Cassidy lounges and gives a thumbs up. Kyle rushes in, Cassidy runs and tilt-o-whirls, but Kyle blocks it! Kyle suplexes, and then blocks Stun Dog Millionaire to HALF ‘N’ HALF! Kyle says that’s it while Cassidy flounders around. Dynamite returns to single picture as fans rally up.
Kyle brings Cassidy up, suplexes, but STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE hits! And then Cassidy tilt-o-whirls, DDT! Cover, TWO!! Kyle survives, but Cassidy is too sore to be upset. Cassidy goes to the apron, climbs up a corner, but Kyle hurries to anchor a foot. Cassidy stomps Kyle, kicks him away, but Kyle comes back to GAMANGIRI! Cassidy drags himself back up the apron but Kyle drags him up the corner. Fans fire up and Kyle deadlifts, but Cassidy throws body shots! Cassidy CLUBS and ELBOWS Kyle on the back and neck, then shoves Kyle down! Cassidy adjusts, leaps, CROSSBODY, but Kyle catches him!
Kyle swings for the MICHINOKU DRIVER!! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives and fans fire up again! Kyle grows further frustrated but fans continue to duel. Kyle drags Cassidy up, reels him in, but Cassidy fights off the lift. Kyle CLUBS away on Cassidy’s bandaged back, and then ROCKS him with a right! But Cassidy Alabama Lifts! Kyle sunset flips, ONE and deadlift, but Cassidy slips out of the bomb! Cassidy then ducks the lariat, blocks a kick, and he brings Kyle around. Kyle breaks free to ROCK Cassidy! Kyle drags Cassidy up, ROCKS Cassidy with a forearm, then has him in a corner.
Kyle stands Cassidy up, fires off forearm after forearm, then rolls back. Kyle runs back in, to GAMANGIRI! And then Kyle reels Cassidy in, but Cassidy suplexes for a BRAINBUSTER!! Both men are down and fans rally up. A standing count starts but Cassidy shakes his head and stands up at 5 of 10. Cassidy brings Kyle up but Kyle ROCKS Cassidy! Cassidy “rocks” Kyle, and “rocks” him again! And again, and again, and again! Cassidy winds up, but he ducks the leg lariat to SUPERKICK! Scoop and MICHINOKU DRIVER! TWO, Kyle rolls through to a TOMBSTONE!! But then Kyle brings Cassidy up, for JUMPING TOMBSTONE!! Cover, TWO!!!
Cassidy survives and Kyle cannot believe it! Vegas is thunderous, “This is Awesome!” Kyle shakes his head, he drags Cassidy to a corner and climbs up. Kyle reels Cassidy up to join him, and then scoops again! Fans freak out but Cassidy fights the gut wrench! Kyle switches his grip, SUPER MICHINOKU DRIVER!!! Cover, TWO!?!? How did Cassidy survive that?! Kyle is at a loss for words but fans hope they “Fight Forever!” This has to end somehow, this is just the first match of the night! Cassidy crawls to ropes, drags himself up, and Kyle fires up. Kyle aims, runs, and CALF KICKS Cassidy in the back!
Kyle hammerlocks, half nelsons, scoops, but Cassidy kicks off buckles to TORNADO DDT!! Fans fire up and Cassidy is fired up! Off comes the elbow pad, but Kyle SUPERKICKS the bad hand! Wrench, hammerlock, half nelson, scoop and- Victory roll from Cassidy! Crisscross clutch, CASSIDY WINS!

The Aussie Arrow missed the mark and Orange Cassidy holds onto the gold! But now it’s on to the Blackjack Battle Royal, will Freshly Squeezed win when he’s facing 20 other men?
Backstage interview with Ricky Starks.
Renee Paquette is with The Absolute and notes that last week, Starks got himself disqualified against Jay White. Just what is going on with him right now? Starks says it is no secret he is a hot head. And last week, people probably thought he was acting out of emotion. But he wants us all to know, he was in full control. “Every single week, it’s the same. I get beat up by Jay ‘n’ Juice, every single match. And I am sick of it, I am tired of it, and if no one here is gonna do anything about it, I am gonna take matters into my own hand! Because I have nothing to lose anymore! This Sunday at the Blackjack Battle Royal, I am refocusing my energy on winning the International Title.
“Because guess what? Guess what I can do to two guys I can do to 20 men?” But then Starks gets attacked by Juice! Juice eggs Starks on as he beats him down, and then Starks hits back! But White joins in! Bullet Club Gold beats Starks down, and THROW him into a road case! The Switchblade mocks the pose while Rock Hard rains down fists! Juice sets Starks on the case, and White ahs a chair! White SMACKS Starks on the back! White then takes a seat and says, “You think you’re done with us? You think you’re done with Bullet Club Gold?” Juice shouts, “ABSOLUTELY NOT!”
White says they’re having too much fun making Starks’ life hell! And they’re gonna keep having fun, so see you around, sweet boy. Bullet Club Gold leaves Starks black ‘n’ blue, but will Starks absolutely tear them apart in the battle royal?
“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry speaks.
“Y’know, I drove into Vegas last night. And I thought about all the times in my life I drove down that exact same road to get here. I used to drive down here with my buddies to wrestle at a little casino down the street. I drove down here during one of the most difficult times of my life, for the first Double or Nothing. Last year after Double or Nothing, I drove home with Christian Cage in the car next to me, and I had no idea that a few weeks later, my world would be turned upside-down.
“And every single time I make that drive, it’s a little bit different than the time before. But one thing is always the same, and that is the feeling that I get when I stand inside of that ring. That ring has given me a purpose. That ring has let me be the man that I wanna be. That ring has let me live the life that I choose to live. And on Monday morning, when it comes time to drive back home over that very same road, I’m going to do it as the AEW World Champion.” Will Jungle Boy’s road soon be paved with gold after Double or Nothing?

Las Vegas cheers as Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler head down to the ring and get the mics. Cash tells Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal that “it’d be easy for me to stand here and say that you are ‘carny.’ It would be easy for me to say that you are trash. It would be easy for me to say that you only are where you are because you politicked your way there. But the bottom line is, every step of the way, you’ve outsmarted us. Every step of the way, we’ve known what you’re gonna try, we’ve known what you’re gonna do, and you still done it, because you’re smart.” That can’t be taken away from Triple J, they are smart and they are good.
But more importantly, Triple J’s been lucky. “Sunday, Double or Nothing, your luck runs out.” Fans like the sound of that! Dax says that if you think those guitars are gonna keep them down, they’re mistaken. Jarrett, you could smash a million guitars and you still ain’t relevant! So what they do is attach their names to the greatest tag team int he world today, and Dax doesn’t blame ’em! He’d probably do the same damn thing! But if Triple J thinks that for one second, the head of the tag team division is gonna be a couple of rejects from TNT, nuh-uh! Ain’t gonna happen!
“After Double or Nothing, you might wanna make a call to the Queen of the Mountain and make sure you got some job security.” And by that, Dax doesn’t mean Jeff’s “b*tch of a wife, Karen.” Dax means Dixie! #TopGuysOut! But wait, here comes Mark Briscoe! Mark has a mic of his own, and he joins FTR in the ring. Cash wants Mark to wait. They know he’s mad and he has every right to be, but don’t let Triple J make you look stupid. Last year, three times, FTR went to hell and back with the Briscoes. And this year, they’d go to hell and back for Mark! The fans cheer that. Mark says no doubt, they are blood brothers for life.
That is why Mark has to know. What was Dax’s piledriver all about? Dax wants Mark to understand, he couldn’t see, he was trying to piledriver some “carny a-hole,” not Mark. Dax apologizes and says to shake hands like a man. Mark slaps the handshake away! Dax says he loves The Briscoes, but he can’t disrespect Dax like that on TV. Shake his hand! Mark looks at his hand, and SLAPS Dax!! Fans fire up and Cash stops Dax from retaliating. This is Triple J getting in Mark’s head! But Mark isn’t listening anymore and he takes his leave. And wouldn’t you know, here comes Triple J? Mark shoves Karen aside and shoves Sonjay, too! Then he SLAPS Jarrett himself!
Fans fire up as Mark eyes Lethal and Satnam. Lethal doesn’t understand, but Mark tells him he doesn’t give a damn “about none of these clowns.” Lethal is Mark’s friend, not them. But also, he’s getting tired of this BS. Mark shoves Lethal aside and storms off. Will the Sussex County Chicken call this down the middle just because he can’t stand any of them?
Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.
Renee is with the Spanish God and says that as much as she’d love to have nothing to do with MJF, MJF did ask her to relay a message. The offer still stands: If Sammy lies down in the main event Fatal 4 Way, MJF would still pay Sammy “that handsome, handsome check.” Sammy says that he knows MJF is gonna watch this. So y’know what? That’s a lot of money. HELL NO! Sammy ain’t laying down for MJF! This may be a hard concept to grasp for a rich guy, but you can’t buy everything. Sammy is not for sale! And he never would’ve gotten here if he was. People have tried to buy him out of his dreams before.
Bosses offered promotions and more money, but told Sammy to “live in the real world and grow up.” Sammy told those bosses the same thing he is telling MJF now: shove that offer up your ass because he IS living the dream! He IS all grown up! And not only did that kid make it, that kid is the man who will take the AEW World Championship from MJF! Will the rest of Sammy’s wildest dreams come true on Sunday?
AEW World Trios Championships Open House Rules Match: The House of Black VS AR Fox, Blake Christian & Metalik!
Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews laid down their own rules, from no ropebreaks to enforced disqualifications and a 20 count for being outside the ring, and so far, they’ve succeeded at winning by those rules. But with “Dealer’s Choice” being Lucha Rules, one man in as soon as one man’s out, will the All Heart Air Force bring down the House?
Dynamite is picture in picture as The House of Black makes their entrance, followed by their challengers. The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who rules the Trios Division!
Dynamite returns to single picture as the trios sort out. Blake and Buddy start and fans rally up. The two circle, Blake shoots around to a waistlock but Buddy wrenches back. Buddy YANKS the arm, YANKS it again, and then grinds the shoulder down. Buddy wrenches, Blake rolls, cartwheels, but Buddy blocks the kick! Blake tries to swipe at Buddy but he can’t reach. Buddy flips Blake to then V-TRIGGER him down! Blake falls out of the ring, but Lucha Rules activate and Metalik springboards in! FLYING ARM-DRAG! Metalik runs, RANAS, and Buddy bails out! Metalik waits but forgets Lucha Rules go both ways!
Metalik runs around into Malakai and a kitchen sink knee! Metalik bails out but Fox is in! Malakai still ELBOWS Fox away! Malakai runs in at the corner, Fox puts him on the apron but Malakai ROCKS him! Malakai then hops down and Brody SPLASHES Fox in the corner! Brody TOSSES Fox, Fox bails out and Blake springboards back in! Brody dodges, Blake handsprings and NEURALIZERS! Brody stays up, Blake runs again, handspring and- NO, Brody catches Blake for a SPINEBUSTER! Fans fire up and Brody tags Malakai in. The Kings of the Black Throne mug Blake, a big BOOT knocks him down!
Malakai drags Blake up, Blake throws forearms, and then runs in, but into a KNEE! Blake kicks but Malakai blocks to sweep the leg! Malakai stalks Blake to a corner, goes out onto the apron with him, but Blake POSTS Malakai! But Malakai KNEES Blake down! They get back in, Malakai GERMAN SUPLEXES, but Blake lands on his feet! Blake staggers back, Metalik tags in, and Blake goes up and over Malakai as he rushes in! Metalik GAMANGIRIS, and then Blake waistlocks. Malakai ELBOWS free but Metalik springboards, into a KNEE! Malakai drags Metalik up, tags Buddy in, and they double whip Metalik corner to corner.
Metalik goes up the corner, around the ropes, and then DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICKS back! Fans fire up as Malakai and Buddy both bail out. Blake and Metalik coordinate, they both build speed, and FLY! Metalik wipes out Buddy, and Blake gets Malakai in a dragon sleeper, FINAL CUT to the floor! And with Lucha Rules, Fox and Brody are now legal. Fox goes to run but Brody’s in his way! So Fox BOOTS him! Brody eggs Fox on so Fox BOOTS! And BOOTS! Brody wobbles, Fox realizes he’s in trouble. Fox runs, but into a CHOP! Brody drags Fox up, runs, but Blake and Metalik trip him up! Fox DROPKICKS Brody out!
Fans fire up as Blake and Metalik go after Brody, but then Malakai and Buddy go after them! The brawl is 3v2 and now a ring count can start with no one in the ring for The House! Fox hurries to the apron and climbs up a corner. Fox IMPLODER SENTONS and takes everyone out! Fans are thunderous and Julia is upset! Fox puts Buddy in, climbs up the corner, and 450s, but has to bail out! Buddy runs in, Fox goes Matrix, but Buddy dodges! CURB STOMP!! Buddy drags Fox into a PRISM TRAP!! Fox endures, reaches out, but there’s no ropebreaks! Fox forgot just like Bandido did before!
Malakai intercepts Malakai into a KNEEBAR! Blake returns, he SUPERKICKS Buddy, but Buddy holds on!? Blake SUPERKICKS again, but still not enough! Brody catches Blake for a HANGING SLEEPER!!! Fox taps, the House wins!!
Winners: The House of Black, by submission (still AEW World Trios Champions)
Even with Lucha Rules, the House adjusted and comes away with the gold!

Good ol’ JR says that this comes down to how tough Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks & Hangman Page are physically and mentally. If they can’t step up, we know the outcome. The BCC says they are the genuine article, they live it and breathe it every single effing day! But The Elite are the heart, the soul and the spirit of AEW!
The Blackpool Combat Club speaks.
Bryan Danielson says, “Here it is. Big week. We have two objectives this week for the BCC. Number one: tonight, Claudio, Yuta, they win the ROH Tag Team titles and take tag team wrestling to a whole new level. Objective number two is this Sunday at Anarchy in the Arena, when we end the Elite.” Moxley says, “We are the best in the world. And I don’t say that lightly, I don’t say that because it sounds cool, I’m not trying to sell you anything. And when I say that, my hand doesn’t shake. I say that because that is the standard we set for ourselves every single day and every single time we step foot into the ring.
“And fans open their pockets and part with their money and their time to watch the greatest sport in the world. We do the job the way it’s meant to be done, and there is nobody, nobody in this world, better at it than us. This is the major leagues, kids. And at this level, only one thing matters: Are you willing to stand in the line of fire? Are you willing to step up to the plate and deliver when it counts? This Sunday is gonna count. And this Sunday, the BCC will deliver. Anarchy in the Arena, in a storm of violence, we will stand calm, ready, take aim, and fire. See the difference between professionals and amateurs.”
MJF is here!
The AEW World Champion goes over to commentary before going to the ring. He drinks Tony Schiavone’s water, then splashes what’s left of it on Schiavone! MJF then continues to the ring and he spits whatever he was chewing on at the fans. MJF gets a mic and has them cut his music. Fans boo but MJF says, “Y’know, it’s funny. They call this place Sin City, but I look around this arena, I have a feeling that we’re gonna have to change the name to Virgin Vegas.” Fans boo but MJF smirks.
People wanna know how he feels with the match stacked against him. This is how he feels: He wants Sammy to stick his tongue out into a light socket; he wants Darby Allin to have his wish granted of climbing Mount Everest, with his shoelaces untied; he wants Jungle Boy Jack to get thrown into an echo chamber and be forced to speak, so he can bore himself to death. “But unlike you disgusting, lowlife poors, I’m intelligent. I am fully aware of how important and monumental this match up is heading into Sunday. The four of us, the main event of a PPV for the world title.
“A lot of people like to throw around the word, ‘homegrown.’ Doesn’t get more homegrown than us. We have been here since day one, and unlike some of your favs, we didn’t have the cheat code of being on national television prior. Four years ago, you people didn’t know who we were. Four years later, we have beaten the best this sport has to offer. Four years later, we have given you the best matches and the best moments in the history of this company! We aren’t just a part of AEW, gaddammit, we ARE AEW!!” Fans agree with that. MJF says, “However… I don’t wanna be anymore, to be perfectly honest.”
To be honest, MJF is getting bored. He’s sick of this place. He’s sick of the lack of competition, the lack of competency, and he is sick of the lack of respect from the fans he so greatly deserves! Tony Khan knows that. And he also knows Daddy’s contract is coming up. Oh, people don’t like it when he brings that up? Well facts are facts, and it’s no coincidence he is wrestling three other men and doesn’t have to get pinned to lose his belt. “Tony Khan and all of you are hitting the panic button because you desperately want somebody to take the Triple B off me, don’t you?” Well you should be worried! Because MJF just may take his ball and go home.
Because this is MJF’s ball! MJF earned this ball! MJF took this ball, and he has run with it faster than anyone can keep up with it around here! And this Sunday, the fans find out that those three men are extremely talented. But much like the rest of the roster, none of them are on the level of the Devil! MJF soaks up the heat from the fans, but here comes Darby Allin! The Relentless One has a mic and he heads to the ring now, but MJF has the music cut. Fans chant for Darby but MJF tells him that it’s cute Darby came out here on his cute little stilts. But MJF’s a little busy. Does Darby have something important to say to MJF’s face?
Darby tells Max, “I’ve lost a lot in this life. A lot. But I never lost my mind. I know exactly who Darby Allin is and where I’m going. But that wasn’t always the case. Back in 2011, I graduated high school in Seattle, and everybody told me, ‘Play it safe. Don’t expect much in life.’ And I listened to those people. And y’know where that got me? It got me working at the 99 cent store, cleaning toilets. And this one life I have isn’t meant to be spent cleaning toilets. It’s meant to be spent as a professional wrestler. So I moved from Seattle to Atlanta, and I started living in my car.
“Long nights in that car, I used to talk to myself, and I always said that you do not deserve to leave this car until you make it as a professional wrestler. And then AEW came and saved my sanity. Because this company gives me something. It lets me live the way I wanna live inside this ring and outside. For example, no other company’s gonna let me skateboard with Tony Hawk. No other company’s gonna let me take a car and jump it over my house with Travis Pastrana. Hell, even next year, I am climbing Mount Everest.” Fans cheer that, and Darby says he is not a moldable puppet. You cannot create Darby, he IS Darby.
Darby wants to be the face of AEW, and to become the face of AEW, he has to become the AEW World Champion. This Sunday at Double or Nothing, I am taking your championship. And I might even do it with a headlock takeover.” MJF thinks that’s amusing, and then he LOW BLOWS Darby! Fans boo and MJF puts on the Dynamite Diamond Ring! But here comes Sammy! MJF bails out and runs away! MJF says this is as close as Sammy gets to the title! But them Jungle Boy is here! MJF lost count of his challengers, but he rushes JB with the belt! JB dodges and then CLOBBERS MJF! JB picks up the belt, will he be the one leaving Las Vegas with it?
Wardlow speaks.
“Christian, you think you’re at the advantage with it being a ladder match. It’s what you made famous, it’s what you’re known for. I spent my entire life climbing ladders. I am the Face of the Revolution Ladder match winner. You got a real big mouth, and I’m betting I can fit a sixteen foot ladder in it.” Arn Anderson wants us to imagine the damage that Wardlow can do to Christian and Luchasaurus with an 80 pound steel ladder in his hands. Christian’s done a lot of dirty things, but nothing compares what’s gonna happen to him in about four days. Hmm, how fitting. Will the Maestro of Mayhem mangle Captain Charisma in his favorite match type?
Taya Valkyrie VS Lady Frost!
La Wera Loca is getting another shot at Jade Cargill and the TBS Championship, and this time she CAN use her finisher, the Road to Valhalla! But first, she’s up against a very cool customer. Will Taya melt Lady Frost before she burns #ThatBitch?
The bell rings and the two circle. Fans rally, Taya and Frost tie up, and then they break. They circle, tie up again, and Taya waistlocks. Taya SLAMS Frost down, then flips her over. Frost kips up but Taya throws her down to cover, ONE! The two stand off and fans cheer. Taya and Frost speed things up, Frost ducks ‘n’ dodges and tilt-o-whirls to RANA! Jade Cargill and Leila Grey, as well as Mark Sterling, are watching Taya and she dares them to come closer as AEW goes picture in picture.
Jade says Taya doesn’t want none right now. Taya goes back to Frost, bumps her off buckles, and then stomps her around. Taya brings Frost up, sits her against ropes, and runs to DOUBLE KNEE! Frost is practically half out of the ring, so Taya kicks her the rest of the way out. Taya waves to Jade, drags Frost up, and SMACKS Frost off the apron. Taya brings Frost around the way, to CHOP against the apron! Jade laughs, thinking Taya’s full of herself. Taya struts, but then Frost RAMS her into the apron! Frost CHOPS Taya now! But then Taya KICKS Frost! Taya puts Frost int he ring and hurries after her.
Jade and Leila annoyed as Taya kicks Frost low and throws her by her hair. The ref reprimands and Taya apologizes, then she goes back to Frost. Taya covers, TWO! Taya brings Frost up, Frost breaks free to knee and knee and kick! Taya drops, she ducks one kick but not the HEEL KICK! The Baddies approve of that. Frost bumps Taya off buckles, then CHOPS! Again, The Baddies approve. But then Taya turns things around to CHOP and CHOP and CHOP! The ref counts, Taya lets off to then whip corner to corner. Frost reverses, Taya blocks, so Frost tries again. Taya reverses now and then runs in, but into a BOOT!
Frost catches her breath while Dynamite returns to single picture. Frost CHOPS Taya, sits her in the corner, and the Baddies applaud as Frost handsprings to CANNONBALL! Frost drags Taya out and fires up! Frost climbs, fans rally, and Frost TORNILLO CROSBODIES! She bounces off the cover, and Taya SPEARS her down! Fans fire up and Jade is annoyed again. “It’s great to be here tonight, where it all began for AEW. Right here at the MGM Grand, right here in Las Vegas. And it’s very fitting that we’re here tonight where it all began, to make an announcement about the start of a new beginning for AEW. AEW Collision, starting June 17th on TNT. Last week, we announced some of the cities for our opening tour, with events coming up in Toronto, Hamilton, Regina, Calgary and Newark. But what we haven’t announced yet is the location for the very first AEW Collision. The first episode of AEW Collision will take place Saturday, June 17th, at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central, on TNT, from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Alex Marvez is with the Cowboy, and he says we know it’ll be The Elite VS The BCC, Anarchy in the Arena II on Sunday. But the question for Hangman is this: What is the status of your friendship with the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega? Hangman says it’s funny he uses “that word.” Hangman thinks he and the Bucks used to be the best of friends, but he and Kenny were always different. Hangman isn’t sure if they were ever really friends, let alone best friends. But what they’ve all been through, Hangman realizes they’re actually something more than friends, something more important than friends, and that’s family.
And family sticks together no matter where life takes them. And this Sunday, life takes them into Anarchy in the Arena. In the lead up, Blackpool Combat Club has taken so much from The Elite. They took Hangman’s eye, they took Matt’s arm, they took Nick’s shoulder. And while Hangman ain’t mad about it, somehow, the BCC cost Kenny his relationship with Don Callis. The price that the BCC has run up is too high. This Sunday, the BCC pays in blood.

And with a table and some chairs, it is time for the contract signing for an upcoming match at Double or Nothing. First of all, Adam Cole BAYBAY! Cole heads to the ring, with Roderick Strong by his side. Fans fire up for the “BOOM!” and of course they “ADAM COLE BAYBAY!” Schiavone then introduces Cole’s opponent, Chris Jericho! The Wizard makes his entrance, fans sing Judas, and Jericho has the Jericho Appreciation Society with him. The JAS join the Undisputed in the ring, then Cole and Jericho take their seats.
Schiavone reminds everyone of the No Physicality Agreement and thanks them all for agreeing to it. Especially since emotions are running very, very high. This contract is for the Unsanctioned Match, meaning that by signing it, AEW is not to be held responsible for what happens during the match between them. This is a personal contract between Jericho and Cole. Jericho puts his feet up while Cole glares at him. Cole goes first and signs his part quickly. Cole then slides the contract to Jericho, and the fans cheer.
Cole gets the mic to tell Jericho, “For weeks, I wondered why you did what you did. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t process why you thought it was a good idea to have me handcuffed to the bottom rope and make me watch as Britt was beaten over and over again with that kendo stick. And you, you directed traffic! You screamed ‘Again! Again! Again!'” Jericho doesn’t really seem to care Cole is calling him out on this, but Cole says that maybe, it was because Jericho is a scumbag. Maybe it’s because Jericho is a disgusting human being. And while Jericho is both of those things, that’s not why he did it.
Jericho did it because he truly believes he is invincible. Jericho thinks he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, because he’s Chris Jericho, and that AEW should be thankful to have you. The JAS says of course that’s how it is! But Cole says we find out how invincible Jericho really is, when Cole beats the living hell out of him. Fans like the sound of that. Cole says honest to God, AEW should be thankful that this is an Unsanctioned Match! Because the blood won’t be on their hands, it’ll be on Cole’s, and that’s just the way Cole likes it! Fans cheer on Cole but the JAS tell them to stop that.
Cole hopes Jericho knows that it is taking all the power Cole has not to just dive across the table, beat Jericho within an inch of his life, right here and right now! But Cole can’t, so instead, let him explain what happens this Sunday at Double or Nothing. Sunday night, they’ll find out if Jericho can still walk, because Cole will break both legs. They find out if Jericho can still run his damn mouth because Cole will shatter his jaw! They find out if Jericho can still write, because Cole will bring those hands! If Cole was Jericho, he’d “hurry up and sign the paper, b*tch!” Schiavone reminds everyone, no physicality.
Jericho stands up, and the fans start chanting, “SIGN IT, B*TCH!” Jericho says he’s not a b*tch cuz he’s not from Las Vegas! Jericho grabs the pen, looks at the contract, and says that before he signs, he thinks maybe Cole’s concussion might’ve affected his memory. Because what happened with Cole and Britt the way Cole described it. Jericho remembers exactly how it happened, and he’ll remind us right now. Roll the clip! The tron plays the footage from almost a month ago, as Saraya used the kendo stick on Britt Baker again and again!
Cole is furious again, and Jericho says, “What kind of a man would allow the love of his life to get the crap kicked out of her a mere inches away from him? That was you! She got destroyed with a kendo stick- Oh, you wanna touch me? Touch me!” Strong keeps Cole back and Cole tells Jericho he will destroy him! Jericho says Cole is a coward, this all proves it. And on Sunday, Cole wants the Unsanctioned Match? No rules? No accountability? Jericho will knock Cole’s teeth down his throat! Cole can’t beat The Ocho, and he knows he can’t! Cole wants to end Jericho? No, Cole won’t end Jericho.
Jericho signs his part, and says that once again, Cole got outsmarted. No rules? There’s five of them and only two of the Undisputed. Cole says that’s right, there is five JAS and two Undisputed. Which is why Cole made to a call to someone who lives here in Las Vegas. A guy Cole idolized growing up, and trust him when he says, this guy as one man is crazier than all five of the JAS combined. Who’s crazier than the JAS?! “Homicidal! Suicidal! GENOCIDAL! His name… IS SABU!!!” Jericho freaks out and the fans fire up as the ECW legend arrives here in AEW!! Sabu goes to the ring and Jericho looks like he’s seen a ghost!
Cole gives Sabu a chair, and Sabu SMACKS Matthew Menard with it! After all, Sabu didn’t agree to the No Physicality Agreement! Sabu gets the chair again and he runs off the rest of the JAS! Fans are thunderous for Sabu, will he help this Unsanctioned Match get extreme?
AEW looks closer at Jamie Hayter VS Toni Storm.
The AEW Women’s World Champion says that when she won this title, that was a promise that she’d be a reigning and defending champion. But the Lightning From Down Under points out that Hayter only won thanks to Britt. But Toni has help in her corner now, too. Hayter says injury or not, she will defend this title at Double or Nothing. Toni knows Hayter isn’t 100%, and that is why Toni will rip that arm off the bone and eat it raw! Hayter vows to still be champion, but will The Outcasts make sure it is #ToniTime after Sunday?
Roderick Strong VS Daniel Garcia!
While Adam Cole is after the head of the snake, the Savior of the Backbreaker is looking to eliminate at least one part of the JAS before Double or Nothing! Will the Dragonslayer end up a broken man after taking on Strong?
The bell rings and the two tie up. They go around, Strong puts Garcia in a corner but then they go along ropes. Fans rally for “RODDY! RODDY!” but Garcia pushes Strong to center. Garcia goes for a leg but Strong sprawls and facelocks to block. They gator roll, Garcia fights up and puts Strong on ropes. The ref counts, Garcia lets off slowly, and he throws a body shot. Garcia wrenches, hammerlocks, but Strong fights up to switch the hammerlock onto Garcia. Strong then hits a headlock and takeover, and he grinds Garcia down. Garcia keeps his shoulders up, chinbars back, and fights to his feet.
Garcia powers Strong to ropes, the ref counts the break again, and Garcia lets off slowly, just to RAM into Strong! Garcia CHOPS, Strong CHOPS back! Garcia CHOPS, Strong CHOPS, they CHOP back and forth! Strong CHOPS Garcia off his feet and fans fire up! Strong puts Garcia in the corner and he CHOPS again. Garcia swings but Strong dodges to CHOP again! Strong fires forearms, Garcia hits back, they end up back on ropes, and Garcia throws body shots. Strong shoves back, then BOOTS! Strong brings Garcia around to scoop and BACKBREAKER! Strong is in control as Dynamite goes picture in picture!
Strong pushes Garcia to a cover, TWO! Strong kicks Garcia around, drags him up and puts him in a corner, to then RAM into him! And CHOP him! Garcia staggers, Strong follows him and KNEES him low! Strong stands Garcia up to CHOP him again! Garcia staggers to another corner, Strong is on him for another CHOP! Strong then reels Garcia in for a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Garcia scrambles away to the outside but Strong builds speed. But Garcia avoids the dropkick and sends Strong into steel steps! Garcia soaks up the heat from Vegas as he struts around. Strong puts Garcia in the ring, only to drag him to the apron. Strong hauls Garcia up, but Garcia fights and HOTSHOTS Strong first! Garcia POSTS Strong and he falls to the floor! Strong clutches his arm, Garcia soaks up the heat, and then flips everyone of a la The Ocho. Garcia is still stinging, though, so he stomps away on Strong! Garcia stands on Strong and flexes, but the ref counts. Garcia steps off, drags Strong out, and he steps through to have a deathlock!

It was The Swiss Superman’s win in Double Jeopardy that earned the Blackpool Combat Club this match, and now Claudio could become an ROH Double Champion! Will the BCC be rolling into Double or Nothing? Or will they be stopped by CERO MIEDO?
The introductions are made by Bobby Cruise, Bryan Danielson joins commentary, and the tag titles are raised as we see who will be saying “Viva Las Vegas” in the main event!
The teams sort out but they also start talking trash to each other. Yuta shoves Penta and Penta shoves Yuta, same as Claudio shoves Fenix and Fenix shoves Claudio. No Code of Honor here as the brawl breaks out! The ref rings the bell to get this on record! Penta SOBATS Yuta but Claudio CLUBS Fenix! Claudio then ROCKS Penta, but Fenix ENZIGURIS Claudio! Yuta BOOTS Fenix, but Penta SUPERKICKS Yuta! Claudio runs in but Penta dodges, and the Lucha Bros DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Claudio bails out, fans chant “CERO MIEDO!” and then Penta says it himself! The Lucha Bros build speed to DOUBLE TOPE!

You think the Bucks are doing that?! You think Hangman’s doing that?! You think Kenny’s doing that?! NO!” But Alex fires the fans up and Fenix drags Yuta around. Fans chant “CERO! MIEDO!” as Fenix holds Yuta open. Penta goes up top, but Claudio SHOVES him down! Yuta rolls Fenix to a Samson Clutch, TWO! Fenix has the cover, TWO and Fenix is sent into an UPPERCUT!! Fenix survives, he might truly be immortal! Bryan is upset with Yuta, they trained to hook both legs for this very reason! But Vegas is electric as Fenix goes to ropes. Yuta holds him against ropes, the ref counts and Yuta lets off. Claudio UPPERCUTS Fenix behind the ref’s back! Fans boo but Yuta drags Fenix up. Alex gets on the apron to distract the ref, and Fenix SUPERKICKIS Yuta! Tag to Penta, he SOBATS Yuta! Claudio wants in but Fenix goes up! Wait, THE BUCKS appear from under the ring!! And they anchor Claudio! The Lucha Brothers hit the FEAR FACTOR!!! Cover, Lucha Brothers win!!!

And the Bucks DOUBLE SUPERKICK Claudio for good measure! Bryan is pissed but the Bucks slip away into the night. Moxley also rushes out so that he and Bryan can rush down to the ring, but they’re too late, the Bucks are halfway up the bleachers. Moxley gets the mic to say, “Hey! You laugh and you smile while you still can. You take pictures with those fans while you still have all your teeth. You go back to your rooms and you FaceTime your family while they can still recognize you. Because this Sunday, at Double or Nothing, you and your weak-ass little friends are gonna get plastered on the pavement of Las Vegas Boulevard!!”
Moxley says this Sunday, “Anarchy in the Arena will be the wildest, most violent match in the history of All Elite Wrestling because we will not accept anything less! And if you think the BCC has gone too far, if you’ve been offended, if you’re squeamish at the sight of blood, buckle your gaddam seatbelt, because you haven’t seen anything yet!” The Bucks fire the first salvo but The Maniac has sent his ultimatum! Who will win and who will survive when The Elite and the BCC battle all over the MGM Grand?
My Thoughts:
A great go-home for Dynamite, though at the same time, not much different from every other week as they’re always hyping up this or that and just giving us great matches. Of course Starks’ promo calling out Jay ‘n’ Juice cue them to go after him, and that’s three of the 21 guys in the AEW International Championship battle royal. The International Championship was an awesome opener, but I figured Cassidy would retain the title. He can still lose out in the battle royal with so many people in that match. That will keep Cassidy strong even in defeat, and he can even feud with the winner going into the summer.
Great promo segment with FTR, Mark, and all of Team Triple J. I was a little disappointed Mark didn’t accept Dax’s apology, but then it worked out with Mark pushing Karen, Sonjay, Double J and even Lethal. The tag title match is going to be awesome stuff, and I just hope FTR retains. It’ll probably be because Mark finally has enough of Triple J’s antics and just decks Sonjay or Jarrett. Great Trios title match and I like that they went with Lucha Rules. It mostly negates the longer ring count since anyone can come in when a teammate goes out. But at the same time, of course The House wins. I still think The Acclaimed get their title shot first before The House loses.
Good promos from all the Young Pillars, though I feel like Darby and JB copied each other on the “AEW helps me live how I wanna live” motif. But of course MJF starts trouble but then runs off when Sammy and JB run out. JB standing tall here makes me think MJF finds a way to retain, but also seems to solidify that JB will get another shot at MJF in a 1v1 story. Wardlow had a good promo to call out Christian Cage, but I can’t say it adds anything to the build. Great acknowledgment of Willow winning the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, and good stuff out of Taya VS Frost. Though, I kinda wish The Baddies had shown up just a bit closer to ringside so that we wouldn’t have to keep cutting back and forth between what was going on in the match and their reactions to it. Because trust me, at least one of those cuts made us home viewers miss what happened in the ring. But Taya wins here, who knows if she wins at Double or Nothing. I personally hope so, because then Jade can move on to the top title. Good promo from Toni and Hayter, who knows how that goes but I’m leaning towards Toni because of The Outcasts’ presence.
Could Tony Khan be more bland delivering that news, while also using more words than he needed? I mean, it was very obvious we were getting AEW Collision in Chicago, because AEW is at least hoping to bring CM Punk back. There’s been talk that it might not be so easy, and pretty much everyone in Chicago will be disappointed if they don’t get Punk on Collision. And personally, I haven’t missed Punk. What would he really have done that would’ve been so much better than what AEW gave us without him? I could probably go on and on about this but I’ll just leave it at Tony Khan needing to be less fun boss and more actual boss in keeping the egos in check.
Great stuff out of the contract signing segment with Jericho and Cole. I can’t be sure how much editing Jericho did with that replay, it didn’t create the illusion that Cole wasn’t cuffed and was just sitting there like Jericho wanted it to. But I love that SABU is back for this moment. Has Sabu even aged from the last time he was on TV? Anyway, this Unsanctioned Match is going to be almost an Unsanctioned tag match with all these extra people getting involved, but that’s going to be a lot of fun, and in a way keeps it from being all on Jericho and Cole, as I would think there is still some concern about Cole post-concussion.
And of course, great stuff with the BCC and Elite. Good promo from Bryan and Moxley, good promo from Hangman, and a great main event from BCC and Lucha Brothers. However, they definitely booked themselves into a corner just a bit here. The Lucha Bros couldn’t lose the tag titles and give them to the BCC while Claudio is still ROH World Champion, and Claudio couldn’t lose cleanly while still ROH World Champion. Not even sure why they did the Double Jeopardy angle in the first place. But at least the solution fit within the Anarchy in Arena build, i.e. the Bucks screwing the BCC over. I suppose The Elite stands tall in this scenario, which would mean the BCC wins at Double or Nothing, which seems surprising given how this story’s been going, but maybe this story goes all the way to All In and/or All Out.

Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?
The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. The fans boo, Bravo headlocks, but Briscoe powers up, out, and headlocks in return. Bravo powers up and out but Briscoe RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Briscoe runs. Bravo drops down, hurdles, but Briscoe hits a crane stance! Bravo says that’s stupid! But Briscoe ducks Bravo’s punch to UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Bravo reverses to ROCK Briscoe! The forearms go back and forth, Briscoe fires a flurry, but Bravo CLAWS Briscoe’s face!
Bravo runs, but Briscoe winds up to UPPERCUT! The fans cheer the Redneck Kung-Fu! Lee tags in and hits his tiger stance. But then Kyle calls to Briscoe, and Briscoe tags Kyle! The fans cheer as Kyle and Lee tie up, go around, and Kyle wrenches. Lee wrenches, slips through, and waistlocks. They go around, Lee switches but Kyle has the arm. Kyle arm-drags Lee down, double wristlock, but Lee fights around. Kyle body scissors, rolls to the cover, TWO! The fans fire up as the two go again, knuckle lock, and Lee headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, Lee goes up and around, but Kyle does the same to slide under.
Lee ducks a kick, then wheelbarrows to victory roll, then EURO CLUTCH! TWO! Kyle is up, Lee backs off, and the fans cheer the exchange. Lee points to Nigel McGuinness, wanting him to remember the Euro Clutch did him in the last time they faced off. Kyle storms up on Lee, Lee headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Lee RUNS Kyle, keeps moving, but Kyle drops down. Lee sunset flips but Kyle stays up! Kyle shakes his head, drops down into the ARMBAR, but here comes The Infantry! Briscoe & Cassidy intercept Dean & Bravo, fire off hands in corners, and Kyle shifts to an ANKLE LOCK! But Lee reels Kyle into a headlock.
Briscoe & Cassidy TOSS The Infantry, then go out after them. Lee waistlocks, Kyle fires elbows, and Kyle climbs up in the corner. The fans count along as Kyle goes all the way to TEN! Tag to Briscoe, he climbs up, and he rains down fists! Briscoe goes all the way to TEN, then he tags Cassidy! The fans fire up again as Cassidy winds up, climbs up, and rains down ONE! The fans cheer Cassidy while Lee stumbles. Lee tags Dean, and now The Captain steps to Cassidy. Dean says go ahead, put the hands in the pockets. Cassidy says okay, and he raises his hands, to then slowly, slowly, put them in his pockets!
The fans cheer as Cassidy then ducks ‘n’ dodges Dean, and still arm-drags Dean away! Dean runs up, Cassidy drops down to MONKEY FLIP! Then Cassidy kips up! The fans fire up, but Bravo storms in and whips him to a corner. Cassidy goes up, out, and ducks Bravo to bump him off buckles! Dean tries, but Cassidy bumps him off buckles! Bravo tries again, he just gets buckles! Dean tries again, he just gets buckles! The fans fire up as Cassidy climbs, but Lee trips him up! The fans boo while Cassidy falls to the mat, but the ref has to keep Kyle & Briscoe from going after Lee! The Infantry flanks Cassidy, but Cassidy bobs n’ weaves to dodge the shots!
Cassidy tries again, but the CARLIE CROSSOVER hits, then a feed to the SLINGSHOT SPEAR! Lee drags Cassidy to the apron, the ref is still distracted, Shane Taylor hits a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans boo but STP has taken control while Collision goes to picture in picture!
Lee drags Cassidy up, puts him in the ring, and Dean covers, TWO! Dean drags Cassidy up, whips him to ropes, then BODY BLOWS! Cassidy falls in a heap but Dean soaks up heat. Dean stomps Cassidy, drags him up, then bumps him off buckles. Dean tags Bravo to send him in for the SPLASH! Dean adds a SPLASH, then scoops while Bravo goes up, KNEE DROP SIDEWALK SLAM COMBO! Cover, Briscoe breaks it! Bravo is upset, but he CLUBS Cassidy. Cassidy fights the suplex, Bravo CLUBS him again and again, then suplexes through! Cover, TWO! Cassidy toughs it out but Bravo drags Cassidy over to the corner.
Dean tags in, The Infantry stomps away on Cassidy, but the ref counts. Dean stops to kneel on Cassidy, then steps off again. Cassidy throws “shots” on the leg, but Dean stomps Cassidy down! Dean then BLASTS Briscoe & Kyle! The ref reprimands but that just lets Bravo CHOKE Cassidy! The ref reprimands Bravo now as Collision returns to single picture. Dean asks, “Is this camera on me? B! B! C!” BRONCO BUSTER CAPTAIN! Dean bounces, Bravo says if you see Cap in that corner, yo’ ass is a goner! Dean drags Cassidy up, tags Bravo, and Dean sends Bravo in for the SPLASH! Then feed to Dean, but Cassidy tilt-o-whirl DDTS!
The fans fire up but Bravo hurries to anchor a foot! Cassidy reaches out, reaches out, but Bravo drags him back! Cassidy BOOTS Bravo away, Lee tags in, and Lee BOOTS Briscoe down! The fans boo but Cassidy swings! Lee blocks the lariat to wrench Cassidy into the COBRA TWIST! The fans boo, the ref keeps Kyle back, and STP links up on the twist! Four men strong and they make Cassidy suffer! The ref sees that, Dean lets go to defend his innocence, but that causes him to fall onto Bravo! Cassidy powers up to HIP TOSS free! Hot tag to Kyle! Kyle BOOTS Lee, KICKS him, then fires off a strike fest! LEG SWEEP!
Lee flounders to a corner but Kyle runs up to forearm SMASH! Kyle wrenches and ELBOW BREAKERS, then cravats for some knees! Snapmare and a PENALTY KICK! Cover, TWO! ARMBAR! The Infantry attacks Kyle! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Bravo drags Lee to safety. Bravo tags in, then he tags Dean. Bravo jukes around Kyle, lifts him up, BACK SUPLEX NECKBREAKER COMBO! Cover, TWO! Kyle survives but Bravo runs up! Kyle ELBOWS Bravo away, BOOTS Dean, then goes up! FLYING KNEE for Dean, LARIAT for Bravo! The fans fire up again because Chicken is rising! Kyle crawls, hot tags to Briscoe and Lee!
Briscoe fires off JAB after JAB on Lee, then whips, but Lee grabs ropes. Lee BOOTS back, runs up, but Briscoe dodges! FLYING FOREARM! The Infantry is back, but Briscoe dodges Bravo to ROCK Dean! Briscoe CHOPS Bravo, then repeat! Dean slips around, but Briscoe BOOTS Bravo away! Then Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Dean falls out of the ring, Briscoe reels Bravo in! Briscoe underhooks but Bravo fights free! Bravo whips but Briscoe WRECKS Dean with a dropkick! Then he RAMS Bravo and DUMPS him out! Cassidy DIVES to hit Lee! Briscoe gets a chair! The fans fire up as the chair is set up, and Briscoe runs, only for Shane to stand in the way!

Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.
“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?

Lexy Nair congratulates them on their win tonight, and brings up that Moxley has accepted Kyle’s challenge. Kyle says yes, Moxley is right, Kyle has his number. But facing Moxley has been the biggest test of Kyle’s career, so what’s one more test? This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Cassidy says Willow needs to say something.
Willow says sure, okay. Great job, guys, really. But for her, Double or Nothing, it will be TRIPLE or nothing, because she has THIS bad boy, the TBS Championship! But she’s also coming for The Owen, and the World Championship! As for tonight, Red Velvet may have beaten Willow to qualify for The Owen, but that won’t happen tonight. Welcome back to AEW, time to meet the Comeback Killer. Lexy says by the way, that match is next. Willow fires up, hurries off to make her entrance, but will she be ready to cook with The Chef?
AEW TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale VS Red Velvet!
Before making her entrance, the ROH Women’s World TV Champion tells Willow, “The Comeback Killer,” that she’s still salty that Willow is in The Owen and Velvet is not. Tonight, she takes out all her frustrations every time she stirs it up and punches Willow in the face. Yeah, Velvet beat Willow before. And in fact, she’ll beat Willow for that TBS title right now!
The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see if The Babe with The Power is still the Face of TBS!
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, Willow powers Velvet to a corner, and the ref counts. Willow backs off, and she flexes as she fires the fans up. The two reset, tie up, and Willow SHOVES Velvet away. Velvet is frustrated as she comes back and resets with Willow again. Velvet then slips around Willow, waistlocks, but Willow wrenches out. Velvet wrenches back, top wristlocks, but Willow stays up. Velvet kicks and TRIPS Willow, then steps over to LEG DROP on the arm scissor! The fans rally as Willow rolls and stacks Velvet, TWO! Willow gut wrenches, but Velvet slips through! Willow ducks, but the superkick still scuffs her!
Willow says okay, okay, and she resets with Velvet. The fans rally behind Willow as she offers a handshake. Velvet accepts, but then arm- NO! Willow stops the arm-drag, and the next one, then whips Velvet to RUN her over! Willow fires up, the fans cheer, and things keep moving. Velvet runs up to CALF KICK! Willow flounders to a corner and Velvet storms up on her. Velvet fires body shots, then stomps Willow down. The ref counts but Velvet does the splits as she digs her boot in! The fans are torn but Willow pushes the foot away. Velvet runs back up, but Willow dodges to LARIAT again and again! The fans count all the way to TEN!
Willow short arm- NO, Velvet ducks the shot, but Willow ELBOWS her! Willow fireman’s carries, Velvet sunset flips, but Velvet avoids the hip drop! Ghost pin, TWO! Willow FISHERMAN SUPLEXES! A deep bridge, TWO! Not quite perfect but Willow shrugs that off. Willow runs, but Velvet avoids the senton! Velvet hurries to STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Velvet snarls while Willow bails out. Velvet pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Willow! Velvet DOUBLE CHOPS Willow, then CLUBS away on Willow! Velvet reels Willow in, talks trash on the fans, but Willow suplexes instead! Willow stalls then SLAMS Velvet on the floor!
The fans cheer as Willow flexes and high-fives, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Willow drags Velvet up, puts her in the ring, then CLUBS her on the back. Willow stands Velvet up but Velvet fires hands. Willow CLUBS Velvet again, then scoops to SLAM! Willow pushes Velvet down to SENTON! Cover, TWO! Velvet toughs it out but Willow stirs it up. Willow stands Velvet up to CHOP, Velvet CHOPS back, but Willow ROCKS her! Fireman’s carry, AIRPLANE SPIN! Willow goes around and around, then back the other way! Willow then SAMOAN DROPS! Willow says that’s how you stir it up! Cover, TWO! Velvet survives but Willow reels her into a KOJI KLUTCH! Velvet endures, even as Willow puts on the pressure, and Collision goes to break!
Collision returns as Willow has Velvet in a corner. Willow runs corner to corner, but Velvet slips to the outside! Willow ROCKS Velvet first, then goes outside to fireman’s carry! But Velvet fights free! Velvet ROCKS Willow, Willow ROCKS Velvet, and Velvet sits down! Willow fires the fans up, then lines up her shot. Velvet stands up, Willow runs, but Velvet dodges! Cannonball crashes ‘n’ burns!! Willow writhes and clutches her back, but she’s somehow still in this! A ring count starts, Velvet rolls in before 3, but Willow rises up at 5. Willow hobbles her way over, rolls into the ring, but Velvet SUPERKICKS her down! Cover, TWO!
The fans rally as Velvet brings Willow up. Willow shoves Velvet, Velvet counter punches! And counter punches! Velvet fires a flurry, but Willow slips around to waistlock. Willow ducks the elbow but Velvet DDTS! Willow goes to ropes, Velvet runs up, DOUBLE KNEES! The fans fire up while Velvet yanks the ropes. Velvet wheelbarrows to BULLDOG! Cover, TWO! Willow frowns as she scoops Velvet, RAMS her into a buckle, then OKLAHOMA- NO, Velvet DDTS free again!
The fans fire up as Velvet dragon sleepers, STRAIGHT OUT THE- NO! Willow stops Velvet to POWERSLAM through! The fans fire up as Willow gut wrenches, BABE WITH THE POWER- RANA! Velvet puts Willow back on ropes, and DOUBLE KNEES again! Velvet snaps Willow back, but Willow is up! Wheelbarrow and- FULL NELSON SLAM! Cover, TWO!! Velvet survives but Willow keeps on her. Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”

Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? The fans boo as Ciampa fires hands on Briscoe as they go down the ramp! Ciampa whips, Briscoe reverses, and Ciampa hits barriers hard! Briscoe stomps away on Ciampa, the fans fire up, and Briscoe whips Ciampa into more barriers! Briscoe throws a chair into the ring, then he drags Ciampa up and in. Ciampa bails out, but Briscoe DIVES! Down goes Ciampa, and Briscoe just throws another chair into the ring! Briscoe CLUBS away on Ciampa, then brings him up.
Ciampa BODY SHOTS, but Briscoe sends Ciampa into the steel steps! Briscoe puts Ciampa in the ring, stomps him, then positions the chairs. Briscoe reels Ciampa in, underhooks, but Ciampa fights the lift! Ciampa then LOW BLOWS Briscoe! The fans boo but Ciampa just scowls. Ciampa then grabs a chair, and he SMACKS Briscoe on the back! Briscoe writhes, the fans boo, but Ciampa just stalks Briscoe to a corner. Ciampa DIGS a chair into Briscoe’s bad shoulder! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up heat. Ciampa then brings Briscoe up, bumps him off buckles, and hoists him up top. Ciampa CHOPS, Briscoe sputters, but Ciampa gets the chairs!
Ciampa wants to recreate what put Briscoe on the shelf the past month! Ciampa JAMS Briscoe up with a chair first before putting it side-by-side with the other. Ciampa then climbs up, soaks up heat, and vows to end Briscoe once and for all! But then Kyle & Cassidy rush out here! Ciampa runs away from The Conglomeration, but he warns them all that he’ll get them for this! Briscoe grabs a mic to shout at Ciampa, “You ain’t nothin’ but a punk, son! You wanna do it like that? Sounds like to me Wednesday night, the only right thing to do is to make this ANYTHING GOES! NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!” The fans like the sound of that!

Joe storms up on Lee, Lee backs off, but Lethal bails out. The fans boo but Joe just tags Bowens in. Bowens dares Lethal to come back, but Lethal tags Lee. The fans cheer Bowens as he circles with Lee. They tie up, Bowens headlocks, but Lee powers up and out. Bowens RUNS Lee over, then runs the ropes, but Lee drops down, blows past, and slides under to then headlock takeover. Bowens headscissors, Lee kips free, but roles reverse as Bowens hits a headlock takeover. Lee headscissors, Bowens kips free, but Lee kicks low! Lee mocks the scissor fingers, then whips corner to corner. Bowens goes up, over, but Lee goes up and over in return!
Lee flips Bowens off, but Bowens THROWS Lee to the corner! Bowens CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS, then stomps, stomps, stomps! The ref counts, Bowens backs off, and the fans cheer the Pride of Pro-Wrestling as he jukes the ref to stomp Lee again! The ref counts, Bowens stops, and Lee bails out. Bowens goes outside after Lee, but Lethal runs up! Bowens mule kicks Lethal first, then RAMS him into the apron! And again! And again! The ref reprimands, Joe has his guy back off, but he is definitely impressed. Bowens hurries back into the ring to storm up on Lee, but Lee throat chops! Tag to Joe, and Bowens clinches Lee into the RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Joe then runs up to SENTON! Cover, TWO! Lee toughs it out but Joe looms over him. Joe drags Lee up, puts him in a corner, then whips corner to corner. Lethal hurries to soften the impact, Lee runs up on Joe, but Joe dodges Lee so he can CHOP Lethal on the back! Blake gets up, but backflips away before Joe can grab him! Lee HOTSHOT BULLDOGS Joe, and Lethal MISSILE DROPKICKS! The Lethal Twist makes the numbers game work in their favor, but fans boo while Collision goes picture in picture.
Lee RAMS Joe into the corner, RAMS him again, and Lethal tags in. Lethal RAMS Joe again and again, then he tags Lee. The Lethal Twist mugs Joe, Lee stomps away, but the ref counts. Lee backs off, but that lets Lethal and Blake mug Joe! Bowens protests but The Lethal Twist gets away with it all. Lee then tags Lethal back in, and Lethal grabs a leg to trip Joe. Lethal then turns Joe over for the HALF CRAB! Joe endures, reaches out, and fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! Lethal lets go as the ref counts, but he sucker punches Bowens! Bowens tumbles, Joe hobbles, and Lethal goes after Joe. Joe CHOPS Lethal in return! And CHOPS again!

The fans cheer, and now Joe speaks on the mic. “Oh, Ospreaaaay~…! Do you understand what I do for my friends? But unfortunately, decisions have consequences, and you chose a different road, Will. So allow me to say this: I am truly beyond honored that you consider facing me a dream match.” The fans cheer that, but Joe says it’s just unfortunate that when he gets Ospreay in the ring, “it’ll be nothing but a nightmare.”

Lexy Nair is with Brody King & Bandido, and wants to talk the Owen Hart Tournament. Brody is set to face Claudio while Bandido is up against Swerve Strickland. Now, if they both win their matches, that pits them against teach other in the semifinals. But what they also needs to talk about is last night, Supercard of Honor, Bandido retained the title, only for Swerve to attack. Brody tells Swerve that he warned him about what would happen if Swerve messed with the people Brody cared about! Next time Brody sees Swerve, he’ll- Bandido stops Brody there, and says no, no, hermano. Bandido loves you, but this is Bandido’s battle, and Brody needs to respect that.
So Bandido tells Swerve that this is a battle Swerve will not win! Swerve may be the Most Dangerous, but Bandido is the Most Wanted! And after Double or Nothing when Bandido beats Swerve, Swerve won’t be a danger to anyone anymore! Both sides of Brodido have spoken, but will either of them knock down Swerve’s House? Lexy Nair is with the ROH Women’s World Champion and the Fighting Gravure Idol, and thanks them for accepting the No Physicality Agreement. They are on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Tournament, this has gotta be a tough one. Athena says maybe, maybe not, but the facts are this: Athena has been the ROH Women’s World Champion for over 1252 DAYS, and has left of dozens of bodies in her wake. Pretty sure Mina’s one of them. Mina says last year at All In, Athena broke Mina’s hand. Athena says so what! Last year at Death Before Dishonor, she kicked Mina’s ass all over the arena! Why does Mina think this match will be any different?
Mina laughs and says last night at Supercard, when she locked in the Figure Four on her opponent, she dreamt it was Athena. Athena says Mina is dreaming of her! So flattered! But she hopes Mina has the best dream tonight: Mina’s dead body in a ditch, next to her precious Toni Storm! Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. They argue, but Lexy keeps them from getting physical! Will the Fallen Goddess be unstoppable even in AEW? Or will The Owen will be about #MinaNow?

Nigel McGuinness tracked down The Problem Child, and walks over. Lio says hey, Nigel! Good to see you! He saw Nigel put in that work last night, he did great. He did really good. Nigel appreciates that, that’s what he wants to talk about. Specifically, what happened between Lio and his former tag team partner, Action Andretti. Action cost Lio the ROH World TV Championship, what is Lio’s response? Lio says it’s all fine! It’s fine! These things happen, Nigel. Losses happen, friends get upset. It’s fine. It’s fine. Lio keeps saying that, and Nigel says that is the official response. Lio again says it’s good to see Nigel.
But then Lio takes off his sunglasses to show off those creepy eyes. He smiles, and that black goo drools out… Lio continues to say it’s fine, but is it anything but fine? Or should Action learn to sleep with one eye open?

Dez dodges again, SHOTGUNS The Dogs, then SUPERKICKS Davis! Dez jumps on for a SLEEPER, Zach tags in, and Myron helps out as The Rascalz mug Davis! They beat Davis down in the corner and the fans fire up! The ref counts, The Rascalz back off, then Zach tags Dez back in. They double whip but The dogs bail Davis out. The fans boo but The Rascalz run up to TRIPLE BOOT Davis & The Dogs down! Then they build speed, only for The Dogs to CLOBBER Zach & Myron!
Dez DIVES, but Davis catches him! And CHOPS him down! The Dogs beat up on Zach & Myron on the outside, Davis CHOKES Dez with a chair, but the ref reprimands. Davis puts Dez in the ring, Finlay CHOKES Myron while Connors whips, but Zach reverses! Connors hits railing hard and writhes on the floor. Myron whips Finlay into railing, and Dez dodges Davis as Davis runs up in the corner! Dez ENZIGIRIS again and again and again! Then Zach joins in, ENZIGIRI GAMANGIRI SANDWICH! The Dogs use Dez to CLOBBER Zach, and THROW him at Myron! The Dogs whip Zach, DOUBLE ELBOW, then SENTON! SLIDING SHOULDER! Davis SENTONS on top! The fans boo but Davis & The Dogs soak it up while Collision goes picture in picture.
Davis drags Zach up just to CLUB him down. Then he drags Zach up to whip hard into the corner. Davis tags Connors, Connors ROCKS Zach, then ROCKS him again. But Zach hits back! Zach backs Connors down, but Connors UPPERCUTS him down! Connors taunts the fans and The Rascalz, then drags Zach back up. Connors RAMS Zach into the corner, tags Finlay, and Finlay stomps away on Zach. The ref counts, Finlay stops, but then Davis CHOKES Zach behinds the ref’s back! Davis gets away with it, then flexes to soak up heat. Finlay puts Zach on the ropes, backs off as the ref reprimands, but that lets Connors CLOBBER Zach!
Finlay then hoists Zach up, BROKEN ARROW! Zach gets distance from that throw, and Finlay flexes. Cover, TWO! Finlay drags Zach into shoulder claws, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as Zach fires body shots on Finlay, but Finlay throat chops! Zach sputters, Finlay tags Connors, and they double whip Zach, but Zach BLASTS Davis! Finlay runs up, blocks a boot, but Zach reels him in, pushes him down, then hops over! Zach then slips under Connors, but Connors gets a leg! Zach BOOTS Connors into Finlay! Zach crawls, but Connors BLASTS The Rascalz! The fans boo but Connors CLOBBERS Zach, too! Connors soaks up heat then drags Zach up. Connors whips, Zach handsprings, JUMP KNEE! The fans fire up, both men crawl, and we get hot tags on Finlay and Myron! Myron ducks Finlay to then dodge and GUILLOTINE LEG DROP!
Myron goes up, up, and he leaps, but Finlay gets under. Finlay blocks a kick, spins Myron, but Myron DRAGON WHIPS! Connors runs up, Myron dodges, and Dez UPPERCUTS! SUPERKICKS! And CUTTERS! Anna gives all the respect to Willow, her moves hurt. Maybe Anna dove into the deep end, but she didn’t drown. So while Willow is still TBS Champion, maybe Willow isn’t quite the Comeback Killer. Anna came back, is still here, and there is still a lot left for them to do. And by that, she means her and Tay Melo! The besties reunite, and Tay says if Anna is back, and she is back, then there’s one thing they gotta do.

As he makes his entrance, Sammy brings a table out from under the ring and sets it up ringside, planning ahead for the wild fight he and Darby are about to have! The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! Sammy puts the belt aside, the bell rings, and Sammy KNEES Darby right outta the ring! Sammy THROWS Darby into railing, THROWS him in again, then goes back to his table! Sammy puts the table by the stage, then he drags Darby up. Sammy THROWS Darby into more railing! And more railing!
Sammy grabs a ladder and he brings it over to his table! The ref reprimands, there are no count outs but there are still disqualifications! Sammy doesn’t seem to care, he still stands his ladder up near that table. Sammy then lines up a shot, and he JUMP KNEES Darby back down! “I’m gonna be the world champion! Me! Sammy pushes Darby to a cover, TWO! Darby refuses to give up, despite how it looks. Sammy puts Darby up top, but Darby fires body shots! Darby HEADBUTTS Sammy down, then adjusts, but Sammy trips Darby up! Darby hits buckle, then apron, then floor! Sammy soaks up the heat while the ref checks Darby again. Darby flounders and crawls but refuses to stop, so Sammy fires hands! Sammy climbs up on Darby but Darby fires hands in return! Darby shoves Sammy, Sammy goes up the steps and JUMP SOBATS! Sammy says #AndNew AEW World Champion! Sammy soaks up more heat, then he drags Darby up.
Sammy puts Darby in the ring, drags him up, then KNEES him low! Sammy grins, suplexes, and that’s just Uno Amigo! That means “One Friend.” Sammy hits Dos Amigos! Then THREE AMIGOS! Cover, TWO! Sammy is frustrated as Darby survives again. Sammy clamps on with a chinlock, not quite a bulldog choke, but Darby is still sputtering for air. The fans rally as hard as they can, and Darby rises up to fire body shots! Darby runs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS! Darby falls, Sammy covers, TWO!! Darby scrambles away but Sammy stalks him, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Sammy digs his boot into Darby’s face at the ropes, but the ref counts. Sammy stops, talks some trash, then stalks Darby to a corner. Sammy drags Darby up, whips him corner to corner hard, and Darby flounders out of the ring. Sammy pursues, drags Darby up, and he talks more trash on the fans. Sammy stands Darby up to ROCK him, then push him around. Sammy drags Darby up and THROWS him into railing! Sammy talks more trash, then walks around commentary so he can take a headset and tell everyone what he’s doing as he does it! He stomps Darby, taunts him, then has to go follow Darby around the way.
Sammy follows Darby into the ring, stands him up, but Darby fires hands! Sammy KNEES low, KNEES again and again, then ROCKS Darby! Darby falls over, but Sammy CHOKES Darby on the ropes! The ref counts, Sammy stops, and Darby coughs and sputters again. Sammy has the legs, he puts Darby under the ring, CATAPULT GUILLOTINE! Darby writhes and coughs again, but Sammy steps out to the apron. Sammy looms over Darby, drags him up by his chain, and Collision returns to single picture. Darby fights the suplex, then blocks a kick to FLIP Sammy! Sammy lands on his feet, but Darby SHOTGUNS Sammy down!
The fans fire up as Darby rises again! Darby has his second wind and he builds speed to DIVE! Into a CUTTER on the floor! Sammy puts Darby back in, Sammy springboards in, but into a REAR NAKED CHOKE!! Darby catches Sammy now and the fans fire up! Sammy flails, reaches out, but Darby pushes him down with his body weight! Sammy still endures, crawls forward, and reaches the ROPEBREAK! Darby lets go and the fans rally up again. Fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow. Darby sees Sammy on the apron, and he goes to the corner! Darby climbs, but Sammy rolls to the far side.
Darby hops down, waits on Sammy to stand, and he runs up, but into an eye poke! Sammy hoe up, and he APRON DOUBLE STOMPS Darby down! Cover, TWO!! Sammy is frustrated but he drags Darby up to the top rope. Sammy climbs up to join Darby, but Darby fights the suplex! They trade body shots, and Darby SHOVES Sammy! Sammy backflips through! Sammy is right back up top, SUPER SPANISH FLY!! Sammy crawls to the cover, TWO! Sammy clutches his knee and grits his teeth. Sammy brings the kneepad down to release some pressure, then stands up. The fans rally as Sammy hobbles over to Darby, but Darby JAWBREAKERS!
Sammy staggers, Darby runs up and fires forearms! The fans fire up as Darby roars and runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Darby wobbles, Sammy runs, but Darby blows past! Springboard and COFFIN SPLASH! The fans fire up again as Darby fires fast hands, RAMS low, then hops on, CODE RED! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and Darby is stunned! The fans rally up as Darby has Sammy in the dragon sleeper! But Sammy fires knees, snapmares free, only for Darby to ELBOW him away! Darby climbs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS the legs! Torture rack and GO TO HOSPITAL! Darby staggers around, but Sammy torture racks again! GO TO HOSPITAL!!
Darby flops down and Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy goes up top, FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO?!?! Sammy has no words, English or Spanish, but Darby flops out of the ring. Sammy goes out after Darby, and he brings out the other table! The fans rally as Sammy brings it over to set up by ringside. Sammy makes sure it is angled just right before he puts Darby on it. The fans boo, but then Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy climbs, reminds us again that he’s loco, and Sammy SUPER 630s only through the table!! Darby avoids disaster, then he puts Sammy back in! COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.
Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.
Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.
Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.
And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.

Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?
The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!
Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands! Cope DECKS Dax, and wait, Christian and Cash are brawling in the crowd! Same for Matt and Connors! Finlay CLAWS Nick’s face, Cassidy ROCKS Dax, and Cassidy whips. Dax reverses, Cassidy goes up and out to then SMACK Dax off buckles! Cassidy goes up, Ciampa BOOTS Nick, and Dax trips Cassidy. Dax CHOPS Cassidy, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans boo but Dax stands Cassidy up, SUPER DUPER PLEX!
Dax then rolls through to suplex again, but Cassidy STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRES! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!
Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!
Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!
The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!
The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.
Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.
But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. But Christian slips around to chicken wing the arms! Dax shoves Christian away, but Christian turns around, NOGGIN KNOCKER! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Cope snarls as he rises up, hot tags to Cope and Connors!
The fans fire up as The Rated R Superstar rallies on everyone! LARIAT for Cash! ELBOW for Dax! Cope TOSSES Finlay out onto Ciampa and Cash! BOOT for Connors! The fans fire up again and Cope goes to a corner. Cope is feeling it, and he aims at Connors. But then Finlay grabs a leg! The fans boo, but Nick SUPERKICKS Finlay! Connors runs up, Nick RAMS him low! Then slingshot FACEBUSTER! And cartwheel ASAI MOONSAULT! COPE-O-SETIC for Connors, TWO! The fans rally as Cope keeps focus on Connors. Cope drags Connors up, whips him to the corner, then Nick runs up! Connors puts Nick out, then he puts Matt out!
But Christian is back, and he coordinates with The Bucks, LARIAT DOUBLE ENZIGIRI on Connors! Then Cassidy somersaults for a “powerful” back elbow! Finlay runs up, Cassidy kicks the legs out! Finlay hits buckles but Ciampa runs up! Christian sends him into Cash, then dragon sleepers Ciampa. Christian sees Dax run up, kicks him low, and gets him in the same hold, DOUBLE REVERSE DDTS! The fans fire up as FTR, Ciampa and Finlay are all in drop zones! “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy, Christian and The Bucks climb the corners. Connors runs up on Cope, but Cope snatches him into a facelock!
Cope acts as air traffic control as he coordinates everyone, QUADRUPLE MACHO ELBOWS before an IMPALER!! Cover, TWO!! Connors survives and the fans can’t believe it! Ciampa and Finlay get up, The Bucks BLAST them, then DIVE! Down they go at ramp side, then Christian and Cassidy bump into each other. The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this the opener! Cassidy puts his hands up, but Christian stops him. Christian shakes his head, but then Cassidy makes Christian put his hands in his pockets! The fans fire up as Christian just THROWS Cassidy out onto FTR! Christian then goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES The Dogs!
Cope calls out a shot, runs, but into a SHATTER MACHINE!! FTR snatches Cope outta nowhere, Connors makes the cover, but Cassidy breaks it! The fans fire up as now FTR has Cassidy surrounded. But Cassidy “unleashes” his kicks! The fans go nuts with every shot, but FTR shoves Cassidy! SHATTER- DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on Cash! Cassidy fights free of Dax, but Dax blocks Nick’s Superkick! Dax sends it into Matt! Nick SUPERKICKS through after all! Finlay clinches, IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER on Nick! Matt feints the kick to DDT! But then Ciampa KNEES Matt down! Christian chicken wings Ciampa, turns him around, KILLSWITCH!
Connors JEEP FLIPS Christian! Connors then stalks Cope while the fans boo. Connors lines up a shot, Cope rises to his feet, Connors runs in! But Cope jumps over Connors’ spear, sending it into Dax! The fans fire up, Stoke freaks out, and The Bucks join Cope in the ring. They TRIPLE SUPERKICK Connors! Cassidy is in, ORANGE PUNCH! SPEAR from Cope!! Cover, C&C Conglomeration Bucks win!

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. Cage SMACKS Knight off the apron, then puts him in the ring. Cage storms into the ring, drags Knight by his legs, and ties the legs up into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Knight endures as Cage sits deep! Knight powers up, fights his way forward, and he reaches to the ROPEBREAK!

AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!
This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! The winner of each tournament will then challenge for THE AEW World Championship and AEW Women’s World Championships on August 30th at All In: London! And so, for the opening round, it will be: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Mark Davis; Claudio Castagnoli VS Brody King; then Double or Nothing has both Samoa Joe VS Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland VS Bandido!

We’ve seen the Aerial Assassin training with The Death Riders, he’s won gold with his old friends in The United Empire, and now he’s about to face a dangerous man at Double or Nothing. Will Ospreay be more than ready for Samoa Joe after tonight? Or will he fail to even get past The Inevitable?
The bell rings and the fans cheer Ospreay as he stares down with Ace. Ospreay offers a handshake, Ace accepts, and the fans cheer the sportsmanship. They circle, tie up, and Ospreay wrenches to wristlock. Ace rolls, handsprings, and wrenches, but Ospreay rolls, kips up, and wrenches back. Ospreay hammerlocks, Ace rolls to kip up and wrench to then armlock. Ospreay endures the grind, fights around, and he arm-drags Ace down. Ace endures, fights around, and rises up. Ace shoots through to waistlock but Ospreay switches. Ospreay hits the headlock takeover, Ace headscissors, but Ospreay kips free.
The fans cheer the standoff, and the two reset. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength. The fans rally as Ace pushes Ospreay back. Ace has Ospreay down for a knuckle lock cover, ONE as Ospreay gets his arm up. Ace pushes it down, cover, ONE as Ospreay gets the other arm up. Ace tries again, ONE as Ospreay bridges! Ace jumps up, but Ospreay holds the bridge! That training truly pays off! Ace jumps, Ospreay gets him for a MONKEY FLIP! The fans fire up as Ospreay then arm-drags! That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!
Windsor, Jamie & Shida all go to nine, then wind up for TEN! The fans cheer again while Thekla sputters. Jamie snap suplexes, but Skye ROCKS Shida! Jamie stomps Thekla, Windsor SLAMS Julia off barriers, and Jamie stomps a mudhole in the corner. The ref counts, Jamie lets off, but Skye and Windsor meet while tightrope walking the barriers! Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!
The fans fire up again and Thekla is feeling it while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!
Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!
Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.
Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!
Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!
Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!
Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification
The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!
The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.
Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!
The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
