Jay White w/ Bullet Club Gold VS Penta El Zero Miedo w/ Alex Abrahantes!

The Switchblade doesn’t fear the Devil of AEW, so why would he fear the Lucha Brothers? But while he merely holds onto the AEW World Championship, will he hold onto that courage? Or will he learn what it truly means to have #CeroMiedo?

But as the Bang Bang Gang makes their entrance, Penta FLIES in! He takes out everyone but White, and White goes after Penta! White whips, Penta goes up the steps to FLYING ARM-DRAG! White gets up and Penta hits a SLINGBLADE! Fans fire up with Penta and he puts White in the ring. Penta then goes up a corner, to DIVING DOUBLE STOMP! The bell rings to get this on record, Penta covers, TWO!! White survives that early assault but the fans rally with Penta. Penta brings White up, CHOPS him, then whips him corner to corner. White reverses but Penta goes up and over to DRAPING BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO!

White bails out while fans rally up again. Penta has them chanting “CERO MIEDO!” as he builds speed, but Colten Gunn swipes him! The fans boo but then White runs in. Penta dodges, he rolls White up, TWO! White stands, Penta KICKS his leg and reels him in. White gets free, goes to a corner, and he BOOTS Penta! Then he dodges Penta to CLUB, buckle bump and DDT! Fans boo but White covers, TWO! Penta is still in this but the BCG taunt him. White brings Penta up to RAM him into a corner! And again, and again! White turns Penta to a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Penta hangs tough but White keeps his focus.

White stomps Penta, drags him up, and snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! White tells Abrahantes to go away but Abrahantes rallies the fans. White CHOPS Penta, but Penta CHOPS back! White kicks a leg out, swings but misses, and Penta SUPERKICKS! Penta runs in but White puts him up top and SHOVES him down! The BCG are there like the hyenas they are, but the ref tells them to back off. White goes out to drag Penta back up, and APRON GOURD BUSTERS! White flexes, BCG all #GunsUp, and White goes in to cover Penta. TWO, and White is frustrated. Penta goes to the ropes but White storms up on him.

White stands on Penta’s head, the ref counts, but White lets off. White ties Penta’s mask to the ropes! Fans boo, the ref reprimands, and White lets off so he can slap and STOMP Penta! The ref reprimands, White lets off, and Penta’s mask is freed from the ropes. White drags Penta up, CLUBS and KNEES him, them hits a CORNER HALF HATCH! Cover, TWO! Penta is still in this as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

White frowns and the fans rally up, but White clamps on a headlock. Penta endures as White grinds him down, and he fights his way up. The fans continue to rally but White CHOKES Penta! Abrahantes points that out, the ref reprimands and White lets Penta go. White brings Penta up to CHOP him to a corner! White RAMS into Penta again and again, then reels Penta in to suplex. White hangs Penta out to dry on the ropes! Then he GOURD BUSTERS Penta on the ropes, and Penta flops to the floor! The Gunns flex while Penta writhes, and then White goes out to fetch Penta. White grabs Penta’s hand and bends fingers!

White brings Penta up, puts him in the ring, and covers, TWO! Fans rally, White drags Penta around by a leg, then turns him for a DEATHLOCK! White does finger guns, then leans back for the MUTA LOCK! Juice talks trash, but Penta reaches out. ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, White lets go, and Dynamite returns to single picture. White paces around Penta as the fans rally up for Penta, and White throws a haymaker. Penta just scowls, so White CHOPS! White talks trash, he throws hands on Penta, then he suplexes. Penta fights it off, throws body shots, but White knees low! White suplexes, Penta slips free but White knees low.

White whips, Penta KICKS back! Penta keeps moving, and he SLINGBLADES! And another SLINGBLADE! Fans are thunderous, Penta builds speed, and Penta FLIES! Direct hit on White this time! Penta drags White up and puts him back in. Penta slides in, crawls up to White, and Penta is telling White he better get up. “Listen! CERO! MIEDO!” Penta pie faces White, but White stands up. White CHOPS! Penta says okay, and he takes off the glove! Pass to Abrahantes, touchdown! Then CHOP! White sputters, but he comes back to CHOP! Penta CHOPS! White says take off the vest, so Penta obliges! Fans fire up, and White CHOPS!

Penta doesn’t care?! Penta CHOPS and White flails from the stinging! White CHOPS, Penta CHOPS, then they fire forearms! White dropkicks the legs out! White says Cero BANG! But Penta fireman’s carries! SPINNING DEATH VALLEY!! Cover, TWO!!! White survives and even BCG doesn’t know how! Penta reels White up, reels him in, “CERO! MIEDO!” But White fights out of Fear Factor to URENAGE! White drags Penta up again, clinches and suplexes, BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Penta lives and fans fire up! Juice pounds the apron and the fans rally up. White has the sleeper but Penta fights free!

White claws at the eyes! White blocks a superkick and DRAGON SCREWS the leg! Then SNAP SLEEPER SUPLEX! White clinches again, BLADE- NO, Penta slips out to half nelson, pump handle, MADE IN JAPAN!! Cover, TWO!! White survives and fans are thunderous again! Penta drags White up, reels him in, “CERO! MIEDO!” But Austin gets in! The ref stops him, but Juice hits Penta with the LEFT HAND O’ GOD!! BLADERUNNER!!! Cover, White wins!

Winner: Jay White, by pinfall

King Switch survives thanks to his pawns! Juice makes sure “Cardblade” joins in on the celebration, but White makes sure to get a mic. “Hey cut my music, cut my music.” Oh, look, another thing he stole from MJF. White tells Houston to hush but they say “YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!” White says no no no, y’know who sucks? MJF sucks! Because where is he? Not here! Y’know who is here? J A Y! Because J A Y, unlike MJF, is a real world champion! A truly ELITE world champion! Fans boo but White tells Max that he’s still waiting on an answer to that generous offer! Probably because MJF cannot find anyone who wants to team up with him to take on the Bang Bang Gang!

Fans boo more but Jay tells MJF he could just get that gimp squad again. If not, tough luck. Until then, White will lead by example! And Juice says spoiler alert! Tonight, in our main event, the Stray Bullet, #RockHardRobinson is going to win the “Dynamite Dozen Douchebag Battle Royal!” And after he throws 11 men over the top rope and win the right to face MJF in Philly for his stupid little ring, which Juice’s TJ Maxx $24.99 ring is much better than, Juice will knock MJF out! They are taking the ring, to PAWN it! And Juice promises us he’ll just get another gold tooth. Fans chant for TJ Maxx as the Gunns take the mic.

Austin says if they’re not down with that, they’ve got two words for ya! GUNS UP! With all these Ass Boys aiming for him, will Maxwell Jacob Friedman make it out of Autumn with anything at all?

Backstage interview with MJF.

Renee Paquette is with the AEW World Champion, and he smiles as Renee brings up BCG. What is his reaction to them? MJF says he could’ve ran out there like “every dumb good guy in professional wrestling history” and gotten beat down 4v1, but he’s not a good guy, he’s a Scumbag! Plus, Daddy MJF is doing commentary in that very main event, the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal. Lord knows MJF isn’t wasting his entrance pop here in Texas. But MJF tells Jay White that MJF WILL get back Triple B before Full Gear. MJF was at New York Comic-Con, and he couldn’t help but be reminded of White seeing all those frail, weak losers walking around with belts, cosplaying as world champions.

MJF tells Juice that he prays to God Juice DOES win, because then next week, it will be Juice’s Left Hand o’ God VS MJF’s Right Hand o’ the Devil! And MJF says when they connect, there will be blood. But it won’t be on MJF’s hands, no. It’ll be on the hands of Juice’s buddy, Jay White. Renee then asks about an update on Adam Cole. MJF wants to say something but The Acclaimed walk in. Caster politely says hi to Renee and MJF, and says if MJF wants that world title back, all he has to do is set up the 8 Man Tag: BCG VS MJF & The Acclaimed. Then they can have all the belts and scissor after they win.

MJF says of course Caster wants to scissor. But uh, no thanks. Caster says okay, then how about Caster gets in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal, he wins that, then wins that diamond ring and MJF will have to put a ring on it. Ugh, freakin’ stalker. MJF leave and Bowens says they went over this. Less is more. Billy says MJF is a scumbag. Yeah, but he’s Caster’s scumbag. The others all sigh, but will Platinum Max really win to go for the diamonds?

AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator: Hikaru Shida VS Emi Sakura!

The Shining Samurai is the historic THREE-TIME AEW Women’s World Champion, but she once again faces her former sensei in the Queen of Joshi. The series record is 8-2, still in Emi’s favor, but Shida has won the previous two! Will Shida get the hattrick even in this? Or will she owe her teacher a title opportunity at Full Gear?

The moment Shida is in the ring, Emi attacks! The ref reprimands and fans boo but Emi drags Shida up to snatch the belt! Fans boo more but the ref takes the belt. Shida ROCKS Emi, the bell rings, but Emi wrenches out to ELBOW! Then she runs to RAM Shida! Shida RAMS back and neither falls! Fans fire up and Emi CHOPS! Shida brushes off to ROCK Emi! Emi CHOPS! Shida forearms, Emi CHOPS, repeat! Shida ROCKS Emi again, but Emi nods and CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! MACHINE GUN CHOPS! The ref counts, Emi lets off, then runs, CROSSBODY into a KNEE! Shida ghost pins, TWO! Rolling rolling rolling clutch, and it lands on Shida! TWO!!!

Emi escapes but Shida just fires up! Shida brings Emi up, puts her in a corner, then rains down fists! The fans count along all the way to TEN! Shida fires up, kicks Emi from the corner then adjusts, to MISSILE- NO, Emi dodges! And DROPKICKS back! Emi puts Shida in a corner, she runs corner to corner, and CROSSBODIES in the corner! Fans rally but Emi “sips tea.” Emi also tosses Shida’s kendo stick away while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Emi drags Shida up, CLUBS her, then stomps her. Shida hits back with body shots but Emi pokes her in the eyes! The ref reprimands, Shida fires back, but Emi TOSSES her by her hair! Shida flounders to a corner, Emi grins, and she stomps Shida in the corner! Emi scrapes her boot off Shida, lets off as the ref counts, and then Emi drags Shida up. Emi CLUBS Shida, CLAWS her back, then slaps her around! Shida SLAPS back! Emi laughs but Shida SLAPS and SLAPS and CLUBS away! Emi pokes Shida in the eyes again! The ref reprimands, Emi brings Shida up and underhooks, stalling… TIGER BACKBREAKER!

Emi smiles and has a cocky cover, TWO! Shida is tougher than that, so Emi stands on Shida’s hair, and TWISTS! Shida writhes, Emi brings her up on the ropes, and then Emi says she is Your Highness! Shida stands, but Emi CHOPS her down! Emi paces around, eggs Shida on, and then CHOPS her down again! Emi smirks as Shida stands again, and CHOPS her back down! Cover, TWO! Emi reels Shida in, puts her on ropes, but Shida blocks the whip! Emi pushes and whips, but Shida ducks ‘n’ dodges, DOUBLE LARIATS take them both down! Dynamite returns to single picture as the fans rally up.

A standing count starts, Shida crawls to ropes, and Shida drags herself up. Emi rises, stands, and she storms up to CLAW Shida’s back! The ref reprimands but Emi pulls hair to bend Shida in the ropes. The ref counts, Emi lets go and Shida falls to the apron. Emi CHOPS, runs, and BLASTS Shida off the apron! Shida flounders to the ramp, Emi puts her against the apron, and Emi goes up the ramp. Emi soaks up the heat, runs back in, but into a RANA! Emi hits apron, Shida puts her in! Shida goes up to MISSILE DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Shida fires up, suplexes, but Emi fight it to wrench and underhook! Shida fights that!

Shida back drops, Emi sunset flips, TWO! Shida has the cover, TWO! Emi has a cover, TWO!! Shida escapes, Emi has her, TIGER DRIVER!! High stack, TWO!! Shida survives and fans fire up! Emi nods, she likes the fight in her student. She says she is still Your Highness, and she goes up the corner. MOONSAULT FLOPS as Shida moves! KATANA KNEE!! Cover, ONE?!?! Emi survives and Shida can’t believe it! Shida runs back in, CHOP LARIAT COMBO!! Emi steps through, LA MAGISTROL! TWO!!! Shida escapes again and Emi is shocked! Emi runs, Shida scoops, BACKBREAKER! Shida runs, but Emi scoops to a BACKBREAKER!

But Shida has an arm! Emi fights out of the Fujiwara, but Shida ROCKS her! Shida suplexes, FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!! Shida fires up again, KATANA KNEE!!! Cover, SHIDA WINS!!

Winner: Hikaru Shida, by pinfall (denies Emi a title opportunity)

The student surpasses the master for a third time! The score may be 8-3, but has Emi accepted that Shida is the superior?

Backstage interview with Adam “Edge” Copeland.

Renee is excited to see the Rated R Superstar in AEW. When he made his debut at WrestleDream, everyone here went nuts, she still has goosebumps. But so much has changed from then until now. Can he walk us through what’s been going on? Things haven’t been going smoothly, have they? No, they have not. And he is still confused. He doesn’t understand what’s happened. The idea of coming here was for him to retire alongside Christian Cage. And at first, he sounded onboard. Until it got real. Edge talked with Tony Khan and saw that Christian no longer wanted that. And that was confusing to Edge.

Until he replayed the relationship through the years. Edge says they met in the sixth grade. They’ve known each other 40 YEARS. So Edge winds back to public school, Christian was the new kid in town, and Edge was used to help him. They found they both loved pro-wrestling, and that was it. They were solidified as best friends. So it was high school, college, but there were instances where Edge saw the truth. They were to write an essay, the winner would get free training at the gym. So they both agreed, they’ll write into the contest, m ay the best man win. Edge won, Christian didn’t. And Edge was the one giving Christian, the confidence to still get into training.

Then Edge gets the “dream gig.” And for six months, whoever had an ear, Edge put in a good word for Christian. Wasn’t supposed to, but he did! He always believed in Christian, is truly the most underrated wrestler in history. But for whatever reason over the years, it has been Adam & Jay, Edge & Christian, Rated R Superstar being the leading man and that wasn’t anything Edge wanted. But it stuck with Christian, and that is a cancer that festered and now it clouds Christian’s decision making. Christian feels Edge had a rocket strapped to his back, which minimizes the actual amount of work Edge has put into his career.

This is all Edge has ever wanted to do, this is all Christian has ever wanted to do. And yet, Christian would still be working that IT job in Southern Ontario if not for Edge pushing him and opening doors. Edge doesn’t wanna think that way but he can’t come to any other conclusion. Renee says it is crazy, too. After all those moments, here they are, so many years later, to have the careers they’ve both had, from fame to fortune. And yet there’s still this jealousy, this competition, and it’s bubbled up. Edge says he and Christian are godfathers to each other’s daughters, why is Christian acting like this?

Edge knows Christian is riding high, Edge didn’t wanna take the spotlight or even the TNT title. He doesn’t want to. But Christian will come crashing down. Then if he doesn’t want what Christian has, what does Edge want here in AEW? Edge vows that no matter what, he’s not fighting Christian. But what that leaves for Edge, he doesn’t know. He just knows that eventually, Nick Wayne & Luchasaurus will leave Christian high and dry. And when that happens, Edge will be there to pick him up. Will this go as the Rated R Superstar thinks? Or will Captain Charisma and his cronies prove him wrong?

Wardlow VS Ryan Nemeth!

The War Dog is continuing on his path of destruction, but wait! The Hollywood Hunk attacks first! The bell rings, Wardlow pushes Ryan back, and Ryan throws hands! Wardlow grabs Ryan by his head and SQUEEZES! Then he reels Ryan in, but Ryan fights the bomb! Wardlow still POWERBOMBS him!! Wait, THAT’S IT! Wardlow wins!

Winner: Wardlow, by referee stoppage

A single, almost Last Ride style bomb, is all that Wardlow needed. Schiavone hurries to get an interview. We all know he’s back, but what is Wardlow back for? Wardlow shows his wristband, and it says “MJF.” Fans chant for Wardlow but he pushes through Schiavone! Fans boo, is the War Dog taking no prisoners this time?

Backstage interview with

Renee is now with The Cleaner, moments away from his match with Kyle Fletcher, the first ever 1v1. How is Omega feeling? Well, this year has been tough. Not the greatest run, don’t even bring up the win loss record. But Fletcher’s done a wonderful thing, and that is remind Omega who he is. Omega is the measuring stick of AEW. Fletcher wants to prove he’s in the conversation, he has to go after Omega. So first, it’ll be Fletcher. Then it’ll be the Don Callis Family. Then after that, well, maybe we see the Kenny Omega of old getting the AEW World Championship. Renee likes the sound of that.

But in walks MJF. Omega says hey, Max. MJF says he just wanted to tell Omega that he’s always been a big fan. Omega appreciates that. MJF wants to shake hands, and Omega says okay. They shake hands, and then MJF whispers, “13 days, b*tch.” MJF leaves and Omega says okay, we’ll see about that. MJF isn’t calling out Omega for Halloween, he means he’ll be eclipsing Omega’s great AEW World title reign on Halloween! Will the real trick be making it past that mark?

AEW checks in on Adam Cole.

He’s still at Roddy’s house?! Mike Bennett has bongos and says, “Yo! Check this out!” He does a bongo cover of Trapt’s Headstrong, but it’s now Neck Strong. Matt Taven says that’s good stuff. Cole serves Roddy his coffee. Thanks, can’t wait. PPPT! EW! Cole, you know he hates HOT coffee. Okay, okay, Cole is out of here. ADAM! Sorry, sorry. Him being hurt, he just… But y’know what Roddy is craving? Remember, when they first started in ROH, how Cole used to make the best PB&J sandwiches? Heck yeah! He still got the measuring cups? Cole says if they want PB&J, then okay, he’ll go make some. They chant “P B J! P B J!” as Cole sets to work.

Another montage later, and the sandwiches are served. Good as they used to- Adam, you know he hates crust! All you had to do is cut the crusts! STOP! STOP! Cole has done everything to help Roddy, has NOT talked to MJF in weeks, and dammit, he needs surgery on his foot! He is DONE! But ADAM! ADAAAM~! ADAAAAAAM~! Nope, he gone. Roddy knows what he has to do to get his bestie back. He’ll have to be nice to that scumbag, MJF. Wouldn’t that have solved everything from the start?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

It gives him absolutely no pleasure for him to introduce the next guest, Don Callis. Fans boo as the Last Supper painting has been updated to include “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs. Callis, Hobbs & Konosuke Takeshita go to the ring, and Schiavone saw a sign in the crowd that said “Callis is worse than Dallas.” Kinda says it all in Houston. Well Callis has something to say! Fans boo but Callis says last week, the Don Callis Family made history! In over 30 YEARS of one of the greatest careers of all time, Jericho has never been manhandled like he was last week, because last week, Will Hobbs BROKE Jericho in half!

Hobbs says February 22, 1998 was supposed to be the greatest day of Hobbs’ life! He had the chance to meet his hero, Chris Jericho! Hobbs’ grandma, the woman who raised him, got Hobbs front row tickets to see Jericho, and what’d Jericho do? He walked past them, told that lady to shut up, and then looked at Hobbs and said to sit his ass down! 25 YEARS of frustration! A seven-year-old child swore that one day, the day he got to look Jericho dead in his eye, he would hurt Jericho over and over and over again! And as Hobbs looked down at Jericho’s lifeless body, what’d he do? He picked yo’ ass up and SPINEBUSTERED him again and again and again!!

The footage replays on the tron and Hobbs says he loved every moment. Callis says all Hobbs’ life, he was told by those who loved him to bottle up the hate and the anger and the violence. But now Hobbs has a new family, and when you’ve got a family like the Don Callis Family, you don’t need to bottle it up. You can be what you are! And what Hobbs is, is a 6’3″, 275 pound KILLING MACHINE, and he is not done with Jericho! Hobbs will be unleashed on AEW, because the DCF is on a roll. Schiavone, they are undefeated these four months, except for one match, where Sammy Guevara got hurt by Jericho!

The fans tell Callis to STFU, but Callis says that to substitute for Sammy, he had to get a “scab worker” to come in. A young man named Kyle Fletcher, who as great as he is, let them down! Fletcher SCREWED Callis! But wait, here comes Fletcher! The Aussie Arrow storms into the ring and gets in Callis’ face! Hobbs gets in Fletcher’s face but Callis says no, he wants to hear the man out. Shows a lot of balls coming out here. Fletcher snatches the mic to say as he recalls, he did that as a favor after Ospreay called Fletcher saying Callis BEGGED someone to step up. And maybe Fletcher was the weakest link that night, but tonight he has a chance 1v1 with Omega!

And Fletcher promises that he’ll show everyone, especially Callis, that he doesn’t need any help to beat Kenny Omega! Callis says he likes the confidence! So tell you what. Fletcher beats Omega tonight, and then they might have something to discuss next week. But speaking of, here comes Omega! Will the Best Bout Machine get back on track at Fletcher’s expense?

Kyle Fletcher VS Kenny Omega!

The bell rings and and Fletcher attacks! Fletcher CLUBS then CHOPS Omega, then CHOPS again! Fletcher uses his shirt to CHOKE Omega! The ref counts, the fans rally for Omega, and Fletcher lets off at 4. But then Omega ROCKS Fletcher, JABS him, and repeat! Omega fires off in the corner, CHOPS again, then stalks Fletcher along ropes. Omega stands Fletcher up to CHOP! Fletcher staggers around, Omega whips him to ropes but Fletcher reverses to CLOBBER him! Fletcher rains down fists as the fans boo, but Fletcher storms around. Omega goes to ropes, the fans rally up, but Fletcher drags Omega up. But Omega blocks a suplex to suplex Fletcher!

Fletcher bails out, Omega hurries to PLANCHA! Direct hit on Fletcher and fans fire up! Fletcher flounders, Omega says he might be getting to old for that, and then he brings Fletcher up. Omega brings Fletcher around, puts him in the ring, and fans cheer as Omega gives a thumbs up. Fletcher runs up, Omega counter punches then ROUNDHOUSES! But Fletcher DROPKICKS Omega down! Fans fire up, Omega bails out, and Fletcher pursues. Fletcher whips Omega hard into railing! Omega tumbles over into the front row and fans fire up! Fletcher throws up the crown for United Empire, then he drags Omega up again.

Fans rally but Fletcher puts Omega in the ring. Fletcher storms up on Omega in a corner and whips him corner to corner. Fletcher runs in but Omega goes up and over, rolls and returns, to RANA! Fletcher bails out again as fans fire up, and the Terminator Drums begin! Omega builds speed, but Fletcher trips him! Fletcher drags Omega out to CHOP! Omega CHOPS! Fletcher CHOPS! Omega CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Omega makes Fletcher take a seat so he can CHOP more! Fans fire up and Omega gets some space. Omega runs back in, but Fletcher dropkicks legs out! Omega crashes into railing, and Dynamite goes picture in picture!

Fletcher catches his breath, drags Omega up, and the ref wants this in the ring. Fletcher makes Omega take a seat to CHOP! Then Fletcher runs Omega to THROW him over railing! Crowns up as Fletcher lets Omega flounder in the stands. Fletcher then fetches Omega, TOSSES him back over, and he puts Omega in the ring. Fletcher then storms up and he CHOPS Omega in the chest! Omega punches low, but Fletcher CHPOS! Fletcher eggs Omega on, stands him up, and then scoops to SLAM! Fletcher covers, TWO! Omega shakes his head, he isn’t going down that easy. Fletcher drags Omega up to then scoop, but Omega slips free!

Omega BOOTS Fletcher from a corner, runs up and he SLAM DUNK BULLDOGS! Fans fire up while both men are down, and a standing count begins. Fletcher sits up at 4 of 10, Omega goes to a corner, and both men stand at 6. Omega POLISH HAMMERS! And POLISH HAMMERS again! Fans fire up and Omega DISCUS- NO, Fletcher dodges to kick low! Fletcher whips, Omega reverses, Dynamite returns to single picture as Omega fireman’s carries! “YOU! CAN’T! ESCAPE!” ROLLING SENTON, and then Omega goes up to MOON- NO, Fletcher bailed out first! So Omega just goes up and out to MOONSAULT to the floor!!

Fans are thunderous and Omega rises again. Omega puts Fletcher in, climbs again, and BLINDSIDE DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Fletcher hangs tough but Omega scowls. Omega drags Fletcher up, hooks a leg, AOI SHODO!! Fans fire up and Omega nods. Fletcher flounders to ropes, fans rally up and Omega aims, BANG! Omega runs, but Fletcher dodges and HALF ‘N’ HALF! Omega flounders to a corner, Fletcher runs in, GAMANGIRI! Fletcher then suplexes, BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Omega survives and Fletcher grows frustrated but the fans rally up. Callis says that was very close, but the fans rally for Omega.

Fletcher drags Omega up, gut wrenches, but Omega blocks! Fans rally as Omega throws body shots and CLUBS Fletcher. Omega ELBOWS Fletcher away, runs up, but Fletcher scoops! Omega fights but Fletcher still LAWN DARTS him into buckles! Fletcher then gut wrenches, MICHINOKU DRIVER!! Cover, TWO!! Omega survives again and Fletcher can’t believe it! Omega goes to ropes, drags himself up, but Fletcher says BANG! Fans boo as Fletcher runs, to CALF KICK! Then wrench and hammerlock, gut wrench, but Omega fights free! Omega shoves and V-TRIGGERS! Then POISON-RANA!! Then the POWERBOMB!!

Flip over, and V-TRIGGER!! Cover, TWO!!! Fletcher survives and Callis is liking this kid! Fans are thunderous, Omega snarls and he kicks Fletcher around. Fletcher ends up on ropes and “This is Awesome!” as Omega reloads, V-TRIGGER!! Electric Chair Lift! But Fletcher slips free! Dragon sleeper!! The body scissors are in!! Callis thinks Omega taps but no, Omega’s still in this. Omega pushes back to roll and cover, TWO!! Fletcher runs up, gut wrenches, but Omega slips free again! Ripcord, but Fletcher SUPER- NO, Omega blocks and spins Fletcher around, SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! Fletcher SUPERKICKS!

Fletcher runs, Omega dodges. Fletcher dodges, but runs into a V-TRIGGER!!! And them, Electric Chair Lift! ONE WINGED ANGEL!!! Cover, OMEGA WINS!!

Winner: Kenny Omega, by pinfall

Callis is furious that Fletcher failed again, but he only cares about results! Fletcher pushed Omega here, did Fletcher still add himself to the discussion of all time greats? As for Omega, is he going to take down the Don Callis Family once and for all? Or will Callis’ Powerhouse and Alpha be too much even for the Best Bout Machine?

Danhausen’s jingle is back.

And the Overlord says time is ticking. Don’t worry! Everyone will be cursed soon enough! Love that Danhausen. But when and where will the Very Nice, Very Evil One return to AEW?

Lance Archer VS Barrett Brown!

The Murderhawk Monster is BACK! And he CHUCKS his opponent down the ramp, throws him into the ring, but then the guy DIVES! Direct hit but Archer stays up! What’s his name goes again to DIVE, but Archer catches him! APRON CHOKE SLAM!! Archer storms in on the bootleg Young Buck, the bell rings, and Archer drags Barrett and suplexes, to THROW him across the way! Archer fires up, runs in and ELBOWS Barrett in the corner! Then again! And again! Then he hoists Barrett up top, but Barrett fires hands! Barrett HEADBUTTS, but Archer step up KNEES! And then the BLACKOUT BOMB!! Cover, Archer wins!

Winner: Lance Archer, by pinfall

#EverybodyDies, some faster than others! Archer is back, he gets another win, but will he get to the top of AEW this time around?

AEW Media catches up with The Mogul Embassy.

Prince Nana is very excited for this Friday and the YouTube debut of the remixed take on Swerve’s theme song, Big Pressure by Fancy Garments. Everything Swerve has been saying the last couple of months has led to right here, Graffiti Park in Houston. The top rappers have been here, and now Swerve debuts Big Pressure! What an exciting time! Swerve nods and says it is exciting, right? He should be excited. So why is he not? Because right now, he should be celebrating being TNT Champion. And there’s a reason why he is not. Hangman Adam Page. Like Swerve said, none of this was personal! It wasn’t about Hangman specifically, it was Swerve VS the spot! FACTS.

But now Swerve VS Hangman is personal, and Hangman couldn’t leave well enough alone after losing at WrestleDream. Now Hangman is facing a man who cares less about things than Hangman does, and NO ONE cares less about human life than Swerve. “Just remember this: It’s not always you that pays for your actions.” The Mogul has put Hangman and everyone connected to him on notice, what will Swerve do to get his revenge?

Tony Schiavone is back in the ring.

Back in 1987, Schiavone first introduced this man right here on this very same television station, TBS. And it thrills him every time to say his name. Stand up, ladies and gentlemen, for it is… STIIIIING~! The Icon makes his way out and Houston fires up! Sting hugs Schiavone before taking the mic. Sting howls and the fans howl back. Sting remembers 30 something years ago, the first time he did that, the crowd booed back and he couldn’t believe it. All these years later, here we are. Sting wonders if he should say the word. Well, before that, let’s reflect a little. That word makes him want to reflect on all the years, traveling up and down the road.

He’s travelled with Lex Luger, Rick & Scott Steiner, Buff Bagwell. There are some names from the past, right? But as he’d travel with they, they’d look to guys that helped shape their careers. Dusty Rhodes, the most charismatic human Sting ever met in his life. Hulk Hogan, which yeah he gets the boos. But Hogan transcended wrestling and we all learned something from the guy, so you gotta give something to him for that. But one guy Sting wants to give a lot to is the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. Thank you, Ric, for all the moments. Clash of Champions 1988, Sting’s first world title match and Ric put him on the map.

Then in 1990, Great American Bash, another world title, and Sting came out the winner. Thank you once again, Nature Boy. Fans chant “Thank You, Sting!” as they sense where this is going. He thanks them, and says they used to wonder. What made those guys come back decade after decade? What more did they have to prove? But here Sting is all these years later. And he understands why they hung on! It’s the smell of the arenas, the comradery on the road as you travel around the world. It is the roar of the fans! That’s what makes wrestlers come back for more.

Does Sting’s body do what it did 20+ years ago? No. Should Sting still be doing what he was doing, jumping off balconies and stuff? Well… Okay, we’ll talk about that. But getting back to that word… Fans tell Sting, “You Still Got It!” Sting thanks them for that, and he knows what they’re all thinking. He retired once before, didn’t he? Yes, there’s the word. But that retirement in 2015 didn’t sit right with Sting. And besides, there was one very key moment in this speech back then, that the only thing for sure is that nothing’s for sure. So now, that brings Sting to the word, “retirement,” once again.

The fans boo but Sting says he wants to address that word live in the great state of Texas! Rosenberg, Texas, even! What a mixed crowd tonight. But hey, this is Sting’s moment, this is their moment, we’re sharing the moment. Sting’s very first match in AEW was Revolution 2021. His very match in AEW will be Revolution 2024! Fans chant for Sting, and he wants us to notice one more thing. The only thing for sure about Sting is that his retirement, Revolution 2024, IS for sure. Fans are bummed, but the Icon has put a deadline on himself. What will Sting do for Revolution 2024 in March?

RJ City is backstage.

RJ City says Toni Storm has been taking the world by… storm. And tonight, she releases her second “blockbuster” film, Gone with The Storm. Based on- Storm stops him there and tells us, BEHOLD! Her life’s work! Sit back, relax, chin up and chest out. Play the picture. Play the picture! PLAY THE PICTURE! And so Dynamite goes picture in picture while the “film” plays.

In this film, we get B Roll of a parking lot and Storm is meeting with “Mr. Studio Executive Man,” played by RJ. He and Storm shake hands and he says it is wonderful to have her on set. Yes, it is even more wonderful to be alive! Mr. Studio Exec says that as the studio’s biggest star, Ms. Storm will be pampered with the finest things. Storm says of course she is and of course she is. And so that starts with a banana. She bites even the peel… Delightful! Well, there’s more where that came from! Bath balms, perfumes and a pearl necklace! HOW DAAARE YOU~! What? She SLAPS him! Like, for real. Sorry, he should’ve said “jewelry.”

Storm apologizes for that, then. Well, it’s alright, next week she will have her own butler service. Oh thank you, Mr. Studio Executive Man! RJ then says for a huge star like her, they’re gonna roll out the red carpet! Storm says yes, now please, she has a close up to do. She goes right up to the camera and strikes her rather odd pose. The end. It feels like this is a franchise in the making, but what will Storm’s next blockbuster entail?

Jim Ross sits down with Nick Wayne and his mother.

JR says if Buddy was here, he could really help this situation. JR can’t get over what Nick did to Darby Allin, a man who was like a brother to him. And Nick will find out very soon that real friends in wrestling are very rare. JR says Mama was ringside, she helped raise Darby, too, so how did she feel when it all went down? It was truly shocking. She still can’t make sense of it, either. She doesn’t understand. Darby was like a brother to Nick! He was there from the beginning! This is just so out of character for Nick. And Christian Cage of all people? The things he’s said about Buddy, about Nick’s mom! She doesn’t recognize who her son is right now!

Nick explodes and tells his mom to shut up! JR tells him to respect his mother. Nick says JR doesn’t understand. Darby always made things about him. Nick was always in Darby’s shadow, no one congratulated Nick on what he did to get to AEW, it was always Darby! Darby got congratulated for Nick getting here. But Nick wants to prove himself and prove why he’s here. Mama says this isn’t how to do that, but Nick says yes it is, and he has a new father figure now, and it’s Christian Cage. A better one than Buddy ever was. And in steps Christian Cage. You ready to come home, son? Mama Wayne is in despair but Nick tells her to stay back. She was a terrible mother!

Mama SLAPS Nick! She apologizes, but Nick says she’s dead to him. Nick leaves with Captain Charisma, and he says she should’ve picked up the phone. Nick & Christian step into the hallway, but then there’s some kind of fight going on? Who is attacking who? Mama Wayne isn’t sure what to make of it, then we see it’s DARBY! Darby knocked Christian down, and he TOSSES Nick into railing! Wait, this spills out on stage!! But Luchasaurus storms up and CLUBS Darby down! Darby tumbles, Luchasaurus TOSSES him further down the ramp! But STING DECKS Christian! And he ROCKS Luchasaurus! Sting RAMS Luchasaurus into railing!

Nick has a bloody lip while Sting puts Christian in the ring. Sting stomps Christian, then gets the legs! SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! But Luchasaurus drags Christian out of the ring! Sting and Darby stand tall as Christian and his cronies regroup. Christian shouts, “What’d you do to his tooth!?” Nick got off easy if all he lost was a tooth! The Relentless One wants his revenge, will Nick have to pay for the sins of his “new father?”

Backstage interview with Best Friends & Hook.

Renee is now with Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and the three champions, Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy & the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil. WE have three different titles right here, so BOTB, the TBS title will be on the line. Kris says that is right, and that she has proven time and again that the TBS Championship is about great professional wrestling. That is why she is giving a shot to someone who not only deserves it, but someone she cares about and respects in Willow Nightingale. And then Cassidy, congrats on regaining the International Championship, which he will also defend at BOTB against the winner of the Rampage Triple Threat.

Cassidy says there’s this thing people say. Um, he can’t think of it. Chuck knows! “You don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone.” Yeah, that. Cassidy didn’t understand that until he lost the belt. He knew he cared about it, but he didn’t know how much. And uh, now that he has it back, he will do what he’s always done for this and that is defend it. Because when he looks at this belt, he knows there is unfinished business. This Saturday, Cassidy has something to prove. Then will it be The Meat Man, Mr. Superbad or Brother Zay that comes after the Freshly Squeezed throne?

Caster says he’s so ready, but will Juice be the one coming through on his promises?

The bell rings, everyone slides in, but Juice looks to slide out and cling to ropes. Caster fires off on Hager, Matt Sydal and Matt Hardy brawl, and MJF notes just how many people are coming after him, from Juice to White to Wardlow to Samoa Joe. Garcia & Menard mug Komander but Trent goes after him. Johnny TV has Sydal now and ROCKS him! Sydal dodges, Johnny scoops but Sydal slips free! Sydal ROUNDHOUSES Johnny and Johnny tumbles over the top! Johnny holds on, Sydal rushes in but Johnny ducks! Garcia BOOTS Sydal, Johnny uses body scissors to ELIMINATE Sydal! Fans boo but then Johnny slides under Garcia!

Then Jeff does HIS dance! The fans love it, and Jeff even gets some of that Garcia style. Matt Hardy says DELETE Johnny TV, he and Dustin work together to TOSS and ELIMINATE Johnny! Hager bumps Trent off buckles, Matt Hardy stomps Juice, then he CLUBS away on Menard. Dustin keeps after Juice, the Hardy Boyz double whip Garcia to DOUBLE ELBOW! Then they set up, POETRY IN MOTION for Daddy Magic!

Fans fire up as Hager runs in but Matt ROCKS him! Jeff JAWBREAKERS! Matt TWIST OF- NO, Hager shoves Matt away! But Matt BOOTS him! And goes up, to AX- NO, Hager blocks, then TOSSES Matt Hardy to ELIMINATE him! Fans boo as the X-JAS celebrate. MJF gets an idea, and he takes the headset off to go closer to ringside! Fans fire up as MJF tells Dustin to hold on. He has money for Dustin? Dustin takes the money, puts that away, and he goes after Juice with more fervor! Dustin puts the legs in the ropes, and fans fire up! Juice begs for mercy but nope, he gets SHATTERED DREAMS!! Juice’s bullets might be gold dust as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Menard attacks Dustin and soaks up the heat, then he throws hands. Menard climbs up to rain down fists, goes all the way to TEN, then soaks up more heat. But Dustin PURPLE NURPLES him! Dustin then climbs up to rain down fists! Dustin goes all the way to nine, takes a deep breath, and he ROCKS Menard with the tenth! Caster is holding on on the other side, as is Komander. Garcia kicks Jeff but Jeff kicks back. Komander and Caster go after each other and Komander RAMS Caster into a corner! Komander stomps away on Caster while Trent kicks and ROCKS Garcia! Garcia hits back, they brawl with forearms!

Hager fights off Dustin, Garcia and Trent ROCK each other! They keep going, Caster gets away from Komander, and then Hager ROCKS Komander! Garcia and Trent just keep firing off shots, then they DOUBLE LARIAT! Hager stands Komander up but Komander CHOPS! But Hager KNEES low! Jeff throws hands on Menard, Caster throws Trent! X-JAS run in but Komander BOOTS Garcia, BOOTS Menard, then goes up!

Komander leaps, but is caught! X-JAS TOSS Komander up and out to ELIMINATE him together! Then Menard says no dancing. Fans still want the dance but Trent CLUBS Garcia and Dustin UPPERCUTS Menard! Caster is after Juice, the X-JAS soak up the heat as they mug The Natural. Juice holds ropes as Caster tries to push him out, and Menard sets Dustin up. Dustin ducks, Garcia ROCKS Menard! Dustin shoves Garcia, DUMPS Menard to ELIMINATE him, but then Garcia DUMPS and ELIMINATES Dustin! Fans say do the dance, and Garcia can’t resist temptation. Garcia DOES THE DANCE!!! But then Juice whips! Garcia reverses to toss Juice out! Caster DUMPS Garcia out to ELIMINATE him!

Fans fire up as Caster and Juice are now in this alone! Menard says he told Garcia so, but MJF is disappointed that this came down to “the stalker and the sleazebag.” Caster ROCKS Juice, ROCKS him again, but Juice wobbles on the apron! Juice holds ropes to stay up, Caster throws hands! MJF has never wanted a match to not end more than this. It is either Caster’s tomfoolery, or just the most violent match of MJF’s career because he swears on his mother that he will murder Juice. Caster SUPERKICKS! Juice sputters but he holds on all the same! Fans fire up as Caster runs, but Juice RAMS into Caster!

Juice smiles as he drags Caster back up, and goes to suplex! Caster holds onto ropes and lets his body deadweight, but Juice still hauls him up! They’re both on the apron! Caster ROCKS Juice, ROCKS him again, then again, and again! Fans fire up as Caster backs Juice up but Juice CLAWS the eyes! Caster staggers back, Juice goes around the corner and he goes up. Caster is distracted and Juice brings out TJ Maxx!! Caster storms up, into the LEFT HAND O’ GOD!!! Juice DUMPS Caster out to ELIMINATE him! Juice wins!!

Winner: Juice Robinson (challenges MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring)

The Switchblade helped his Collision Cowboy steal this one, but MJF shows them the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Will MJF make sure blood is shed before it’s all over?

My Thoughts:

A great episode here, with plenty set up for everything coming this next week. Great group promo from Best Friends to set up their parts in Battle of the Belts 8, and Kris VS Willow is definitely going to be the moment Willow and Skye Blue reveal their dark sides and join the House of Black. Now, that would be greatly emphasized if Willow took the title, but I don’t know, it doesn’t feel like Saturday is going to be the moment with Full Gear a month away. As for who faces Cassidy for his belt, I’d love it to be Brother Zay so that it’d be Cassidy VS Kassidy, but Cassidy mentioned unfinished business and that makes me think Kip Sabian.

Edge has a good promo to help explain partly for himself why Christian rejected him. And while Edge said he doesn’t want the TNT Championship, I still feel he’ll be compelled into taking it from him because otherwise, Edge is mostly just going for the world title. Great sit-down interview moment that turned into a great brawl, and I feel like Nick losing a tooth was legit, that’s not easy to fake. But with Sting giving us a great promo that gives us a deadline on when he is retiring, clearly he and Darby are gonna have one last tag match together, probably against Nick & Luchasaurus.

Great match from Shida VS Sakura with Shida getting just her third win ever over Emi. Shida’s card for Full Gear could really go to any number of choices, but I would think Saraya and Toni Storm are at the top of that. Storm had another hilarious “movie” promo, she is doing great work, she at least deserves to be in the conversation. At the same time, feels like they need to build up other women to be top title ready. And also, what about Thunder Rosa? Word is she’s still recovering from an injury, so why isn’t AEW doing a better job keeping us aware of that? I understand them wanting to keep her return a surprise, but it’d be nice to know her absence isn’t just because of the usual AEW ineptitude in booking their women’s division.

Awesome stuff in the Don Callis Family story. The promo from Callis and Hobbs was good, and a good promo from Omega with MJF, but Omega VS Fletcher was incredible! Fletcher really is proving himself to be one of the best in this new generation, and I kinda hope Callis being so upset with Fletcher actually makes Will Ospreay say no to Callis at some point. Ospreay is the leader of the United Empire, he doesn’t have to do anything Callis wants if Callis isn’t gonna treat his guys fairly. Plus, it’d make for an awesome moment if Callis gets a taste of his own medicine as Ospreay walked out on him right as the Family is about to lose to Omega, Ibushi, Jericho, etc.

Great squash win for Archer’s return to AEW, and can’t be sure what he goes for title wise, but maybe it’ll be the world title this time after MJF gets through his story with Bullet Club Gold. Wardlow also gets a great squash win, and I appreciate Tony Khan going back to Wardlow’s grudge with MJF, but uh, it’s a little too late as I’m concerned. Fans don’t want to see Wardlow crush MJF now that MJF is our scumbag anti-hero. This should’ve been how Wardlow was right after losing to Hobbs and QT Marshall. But hey, maybe MJF can further his redemption tour by reconciling with Wardlow over their past.

Another hilarious bit from Cole, Roddy & The Kingdom, and I like that this was the last straw for Cole. Not sure how Roddy’s gonna fake being nice to MJF but it’ll surely blow up in his face and Roddy gets over his neck injury so he can settle things with MJF. And good stuff from MJF and this story with Bullet Club Gold and Acclaimed. White of course cheats to beat Penta so that he can then talk trash on MJF, and of course Caster offers to help MJF one more time. And as such, of course MJF rejects him.

Great Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal, which is an area where AEW still shines. Great stuff with it coming down to Caster and Juice, and again, of course Bullet Club Gold cheats to make sure Juice wins. I feel like the best move to do here is MJF actually losing the diamond ring because he just couldn’t fight off the numbers game, and then he goes to Caster and asks The Acclaimed to help him get Triple B back. If Acclaimed go out there first to help MJF win and retain the diamond ring, it’ll only make MJF pull away from them more.

MJF even said on commentary that he did used to think of Caster as a friend when they were both getting started, and he’s been learning from Cole that people can have more than one friend. So if MJF, humbled by his loss, goes to Caster and asks him genuinely, that is better for the story and MJF’s character development.

My Score: 8.8/10

The Death Riders speak.

It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.

The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

AEW World Trios Championship Eliminator: The Conglomeration VS Lee Moriarty & The Infantry w/ Shane Taylor Promotions!

Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?

The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. The fans boo, Bravo headlocks, but Briscoe powers up, out, and headlocks in return. Bravo powers up and out but Briscoe RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Briscoe runs. Bravo drops down, hurdles, but Briscoe hits a crane stance! Bravo says that’s stupid! But Briscoe ducks Bravo’s punch to UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Bravo reverses to ROCK Briscoe! Lee ducks a kick, then wheelbarrows to victory roll, then EURO CLUTCH! TWO! Kyle is up, Lee backs off, and the fans cheer the exchange. Lee points to Nigel McGuinness, wanting him to remember the Euro Clutch did him in the last time they faced off. Kyle storms up on Lee, Lee headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Lee RUNS Kyle, keeps moving, but Kyle drops down. Lee sunset flips but Kyle stays up! Kyle shakes his head, drops down into the ARMBAR, but here comes The Infantry! Briscoe & Cassidy intercept Dean & Bravo, fire off hands in corners, and Kyle shifts to an ANKLE LOCK! But Lee reels Kyle into a headlock.

Briscoe & Cassidy TOSS The Infantry, then go out after them. Lee waistlocks, Kyle fires elbows, and Kyle climbs up in the corner. The fans count along as Kyle goes all the way to TEN! Tag to Briscoe, he climbs up, and he rains down fists! Briscoe goes all the way to TEN, then he tags Cassidy! The fans fire up again as Cassidy winds up, climbs up, and rains down ONE! The fans cheer Cassidy while Lee stumbles. Lee tags Dean, and now The Captain steps to Cassidy. Dean says go ahead, put the hands in the pockets. Cassidy says okay, and he raises his hands, to then slowly, slowly, put them in his pockets!

The fans cheer as Cassidy then ducks ‘n’ dodges Dean, and still arm-drags Dean away! Dean runs up, Cassidy drops down to MONKEY FLIP! Then Cassidy kips up! The fans fire up, but Bravo storms in and whips him to a corner. Cassidy goes up, out, and ducks Bravo to bump him off buckles! Dean tries, but Cassidy bumps him off buckles! Cassidy tries again, but the CARLIE CROSSOVER hits, then a feed to the SLINGSHOT SPEAR! Lee drags Cassidy to the apron, the ref is still distracted, Shane Taylor hits a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans boo but STP has taken control while Collision goes to picture in picture!

Lee drags Cassidy up, puts him in the ring, and Dean covers, TWO! Dean drags Cassidy up, whips him to ropes, then BODY BLOWS! Cassidy falls in a heap but Dean soaks up heat. Dean stomps Cassidy, drags him up, then bumps him off buckles. Dean tags Bravo to send him in for the SPLASH! Dean adds a SPLASH, then scoops while Bravo goes up, KNEE DROP SIDEWALK SLAM COMBO! Cover, Briscoe breaks it! Bravo is upset, but he CLUBS Cassidy. Cassidy fights the suplex, Bravo CLUBS him again and again, then suplexes through! Cover, TWO! Cassidy toughs it out but Bravo drags Cassidy over to the corner.

Dean tags in, The Infantry stomps away on Cassidy, but the ref counts. Dean stops to kneel on Cassidy, then steps off again. Cassidy throws “shots” on the leg, but Dean stomps Cassidy down! Dean then BLASTS Briscoe & Kyle! The ref reprimands but that just lets Bravo CHOKE Cassidy! The ref reprimands Bravo now as Collision returns to single picture. Dean asks, “Is this camera on me? B! B! C!” BRONCO BUSTER CAPTAIN! Dean bounces, Bravo says if you see Cap in that corner, yo’ ass is a goner! Dean drags Cassidy up, tags Bravo, and Dean sends Bravo in for the SPLASH! Then feed to Dean, but Cassidy tilt-o-whirl DDTS!

The fans fire up but Bravo hurries to anchor a foot! Cassidy reaches out, reaches out, but Bravo drags him back! Cassidy BOOTS Bravo away, Lee tags in, and Lee BOOTS Briscoe down! Will Ospreay speaks.

It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.

“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?

“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Lexy Nair congratulates them on their win tonight, and brings up that Moxley has accepted Kyle’s challenge. Kyle says yes, Moxley is right, Kyle has his number. This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Cassidy says Willow needs to say something.

Red Velvet brought the fire, but she couldn’t cook Willow! Willow is now rolling towards Double or Nothing and her match with Alex Windsor, but will she then head for her second Owen Hart Cup win?

Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.

Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.

“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”

Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?

Backstage interview with Darby Allin.

Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!

And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Or is this one Collision Darby will not walk away from?

Bowens says if you’re asking what this change of attitude is about… This man, Samoa Joe, has been teaching Bowens all he needs to know: choices have consequences; and if you don’t like the way the table is set, you flip that table over and you choose violence! The fans cheer, and now Joe speaks on the mic. “Oh, Ospreaaaay~…! Do you understand what I do for my friends? But unfortunately, decisions have consequences, and you chose a different road, Will. Backstage interview with #Brodido.

Lexy Nair is with Brody King & Bandido, and wants to talk the Owen Hart Tournament. Brody is set to face Claudio while Bandido is up against Swerve Strickland. Backstage interview with Athena and Mina Shirakawa.

Lexy Nair is with the ROH Women’s World Champion and the Fighting Gravure Idol, and thanks them for accepting the No Physicality Agreement. Mina laughs and says last night at Supercard, when she locked in the Figure Four on her opponent, she dreamt it was Athena. Athena says Mina is dreaming of her! So flattered! But she hopes Mina has the best dream tonight: Mina’s dead body in a ditch, next to her precious Toni Storm! Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. They argue, but Lexy keeps them from getting physical! Will the Fallen Goddess be unstoppable even in AEW? Or will The Owen will be about #MinaNow?

The Savage King warns Chris Jericho and his team that if they want carnage, they’re gonna get carnage! Will anyone survive the star-studded 7 VS 7 Stadium Stampede?

Backstage interview with Anna Jay.

Lexy Nair is with the Queenslayer and commends her on that great return match against Willow Nightingale a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop the Comeback Killer. Anna gives all the respect to Willow, her moves hurt. Maybe Anna dove into the deep end, but she didn’t drown. So while Willow is still TBS Champion, maybe Willow isn’t quite the Comeback Killer. Anna came back, is still here, and there is still a lot left for them to do. And by that, she means her and Tay Melo! The besties reunite, and Tay says if Anna is back, and she is back, then there’s one thing they gotta do.

Anna tells if they wanna find out what that is, #JustTryUs! TayJay is back again, but are they going to fight their way right to the Divine Dominion’s tag titles?

AEW World Championship No Count Outs: Darby Allin VS Sammy Guevara!

The Relentless One may have gotten MJF to accept the Double or Nothing challenge, but he is always up for a fight! The Spanish God still has the ROH World Tag Team Championship around his waist, but he wants even more gold to show off to his wife and daughter! Who gets what they want tonight to then head for Queens, New York?

As he makes his entrance, Sammy brings a table out from under the ring and sets it up ringside, planning ahead for the wild fight he and Darby are about to have! The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! Sammy puts the belt aside, the bell rings, and Sammy KNEES Darby right outta the ring! Sammy THROWS Darby into railing, THROWS him in again, then goes back to his table! Sammy puts the table by the stage, then he drags Darby up. Sammy THROWS Darby into more railing! And more railing!

Sammy grabs a ladder and he brings it over to his table! The ref reprimands, there are no count outs but there are still disqualifications! Sammy doesn’t seem to care, he still stands his ladder up near that table. Sammy then lines up a shot, and he JUMP KNEES Darby back down! “I’m gonna be the world champion! Me! Not him!” Sammy drags Darby up, puts him on the table, and he rains down fists! Sammy climbs the ladder, goes to the very top, and reminds us that he’s loco! SUPER SWANTON BOMB through the table!! Sammy goes out after Darby, and he brings out the other table! The fans rally as Sammy brings it over to set up by ringside. Sammy makes sure it is angled just right before he puts Darby on it. The fans boo, but then Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy climbs, reminds us again that he’s loco, and Sammy SUPER 630s only through the table!! Darby avoids disaster, then he puts Sammy back in! COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.

Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.

Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.

Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.

And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.

My Score: 8.9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!

Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.

But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!

Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: Mike Bailey, by pinfall

Another fast ‘n’ furious finish, and Bailey’s on a hot streak! But now, the other side of JetSpeed looks to keep it up! But just who is Kevin Knight defending the TNT Championship against? It’s… BRIAN CAGE!? The Machine finally returns to action, and he has the Don Callis Family with him! Will Cage be able to ground Knight and take this title back to the family?

AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Kevin Knight w/ “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Brian Cage w/ The Don Callis Family!

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who betta!

But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. And in the Owen Hart Tournament, I will prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m a better wrestler than you. I am the FUTURE world champion!

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.

Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!

The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!

The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!

The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!

Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10
