The fans in Greenville, South Carolina are torn as the AEW American Champion makes his way out, showing off the newly redesigned title belt, as well as a patriotic blazer. He goes to the ring, mic in hand, and has them cut his music. The fans chant “M J F! M J F!” and he says in a rather cliche accent, “Now Ah know you people down South ain’t too bright, heeyuck, heeyuck. But when the holder of the most important title in the world is talking about USA, he damn sure ain’t talking about the trailer park trash capital of the world known as South Carolina. So you simpleminded folks do yourselves a favor, and keep your meth addicted mouths shut.”
The fans boo but MJF says he will be busy talking to “real America” in the camera, thanks. The fans start booing and he says he just told them, shut your mouths! No class here. But you are looking at the man who singlehandedly defeated with ease “that Redcoat terrorist,” Will Ospreay, and brought gold back home to our great nation. The same man who will be a one man militia as he walks into enemy territory on Sunday, August 25th, All In Wembley, and he will beat Ospreay again. The fans boo more, but MJF says allow him to ask you people, “for once in your miserable, worthless lives, show some respect, have some decorum, and please rise for your American Hero.”
The fans are torn as MJF holds up the belt, but here comes Ospreay! MJF is afraid as The Aerial Assassin runs up, and then MJF slips out of the ring to run away! Ospreay gets a mic to tell MJF, “You better do yourself a favor, mate, and keep running. Because after what you said about my family last week, bruv, I’m gonna put you through pain you can’t even imagine, bruv! You’re running around with that ‘American Championship.’ Last time I checked, I’m in the United States of America. And I know one thing about Yanks, mate. They love that flag the same way I love my own country’s flag. But yet, not a single one of these people acknowledge that championship!
“Y’know why? Because some pr*ck like you is holding it! But the main reason, Max, the main reason that no one is acknowledging that championship is cuz what you done last week, when you took the International Championship, and you threw it in the trash like it was a piece of garbage! Lemme tell you something, Max. Men have worked hard to make that championship have legacy and lineage. Men like Pac, Orange Cassidy, Jon Moxley, Rey Fenix, Roderick Strong and myself! All of us have no problem week in, week out, performing like our lives are on the line for all of these people!
“You, Max, you do not fit that criteria! Max, it isn’t that the International Championship isn’t worth anything to MJF. Nah, son. You aren’t worthy of holding th eInternaitoinal Championship!” The fans cheer that! They also cahnt “U S A! U S A!” But Ospreay gets it, home pride. But when it’s someone like that representing them, he doesn’t represent about the American spirit! The American work ethic! When MJF comes to Wembley Stadium, Ospreay will restore honor to the International Championship! MJF says the people like Ospreay, huh? Then they’re disgusting turncoats, that’s what!
Let MJF explain something to Ospreay. MJF is an American Hero! He is not gonna stand smack like Ospreay, he lets his actions do the talking. Ospreay says get in here then. MJF says he’ll annihilate Ospreay in front of all his “crooked teeth countrymen.” But tonight, MJF has a feeling after what happens to Ospreay, Ospreay won’t make it to All In, bruv. Because tonight, in this crap hole of South Carolina, #EverybodyDies. And with that, The Murderhawk Monster arrives! Will Lance Archer destroy the #BillyGOAT to then usurp his spot at All In?
Will Ospreay VS Lance Archer!
The bell rings and Archer pie faces Ospreay. Ospreay comes back but into a CHOKE SLAM! Archer throws his jacket aside and looms over Ospreay. Archer drags Ospreay up, bumps him off buckles, and then runs corner to corner to ELBOW Ospreay! Archer keeps going, and he ELBOWS Ospreay again! And then again! Ospreay staggers and falls, and Archer paces around. Archer eggs Ospreay on as Ospreay slowly stands. The fans rally behind Ospreay and he fires a forearm! Archer DECKS Ospreay with just one! Ospreay flounders to ropes, comes back, and he ducks ‘n’ dodges to handspring! NEURALIZER KICK!
Archer tumbles out, the fans fire up, and Ospreay builds speed! Ospreay handsprings to SASUKE- NO, Archer catches him! But Ospreay fires hands! Ospreay whips, Archer blocks and reels Ospreay in, to SLAM him on the floor! Archer refreshes the ring count, stalks him, and says time to even the score. Archer mocks the fans cheering Ospreay, sot hey boo him. Archer goes back to Ospreay, brings him up, and lifts him right up, only for Ospreay to RANA him into railing! The fans fire up while both men are down! Ospreay grits his teeth while the ring count is climbing, and he slowly crawls towards the ring.
Archer stalks Ospreay and then SHOVES him into barriers! Archer leaves Ospreay behind at 8 of 10, but Ospreay is up top fast! COAST2COAST! Cover, ONE!! Ospreay storms over to a corner, the fans are thunderous, and Ospreay springboards, into Archer’s grip! Archer SUPER CHOKE SLAMS Ospreay! Ospreay tumbles away, Archer reminds us #EverybodyDies, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Archer storms his way over to Ospreay and stands on his neck! The ref counts, Archer lets off at 4 to get in the ref’s face, but Ospreay bails out. Archer goes out to drag Ospreay back around, and he puts him against barriers to CHOP! The fans fire up, Archer refreshes the ring count, and fans check on Ospreay. Ospreay nods to say he’s fine, but Archer comes back. Archer eggs Ospreay on, and Ospreay CHOPS, but Archer doesn’t budge! Ospreay CHOPS again, but that’s still not enough. Archer smacks him off barriers, then rains down fists! Archer CLUBS Ospreay, then he SMACKS Ospreay off steel steps!
Archer leaves Ospreay behind to get in the ring. Ospreay drags himself in, but Archer drags him up again. Archer short arm LARIATS Ospreay down! Archer CLAWS Ospreay’s face, the ref counts, and Archer lest off, to then chinbar. Ospreay endures, fights up, and he throws body shots! Ospreay runs, but gets RUN over! Archer snarls and paces while Ospreay clutches his neck. Archer soaks up the cheers and jeers from Greenville before he ROCKS Ospreay with a right. Ospreay goes to a corner, but Archer stomps him! Archer digs his boot in, but lets off as the ref counts. Archer stands on Ospreay’s hand, and Dynamite returns to single picture.
Archer taunts Ospreay, brings him up, but Ospreay fires body shots. Archer CLUBS Ospreay again, then choke grips! CHOKE- NO, Ospreay flips through and ROUNDHOUSES! Ospreay SWATS a haymaker to HOOK KICK! Ospreay springboards, but into Archer’s HELLICOASTER! Cover, TWO! Ospreay survives but Archer stands over him. The fans rally for “Ospreay~ Ospreay Ospreay Ospreay~!” Archer whips to POP-UP SPINEBUSTER! High stack, TWO!! Ospreay survives again and reaches out, but Archer seethes. Archer aims from a corner, Ospreay rises up, and Archer runs in, into a SUPERKICK! Archer roars, but runs into a SPANISH FLY!!
The fans are thunderous while Ospreay and Archer are down. Archer goes to a corner, and Ospreay fires up! The fans are with Ospreay as he runs up, blocks a boot, but Archer makes it a STOMP! Archer snarls as he stands on Ospreay’s chest. Archer knuckle locks Ospreay and goes up the corner. Archer stands on the very top, but Ospreay trips him up! Archer is stuck up top, and Ospreay positions him just right. Ospreay climbs up, but Archer choke grips again! And then he goes to the very top!? SUPER DUPER SPANISH FLY!! Cover off the counter, TWO!!! Ospreay just goes to springboard, OSCUTTER!! Cover, TWO!!!
The fans are stunned that Archer survives, but Ospreay just loads up another shot! HIDDEN- LARIAT!! Archer hits first, covers, TWO!!! Ospreay barely gets the arm up and Archer is beside himself! The fans rally with “BRUV! BRUV! BRUV!” as Ospreay rises again. Archer runs up, but into a BOOT! Ospreay goes up, Archer STEP-UP KNEES! Ospreay checks his mouth, but Archer brings him out! BLACKOUT- TORNADO DDT!! Ospreay turns things around, runs up, FLYING HIDDEN BLADE!! Cover, ONE?!?! Archer’s rage helps him survive, and he flips Ospreay off! So Ospreay reloads and HIDDEN BLADE!!! Cover, Ospreay wins!!

Archer tried to avenge his loss last year at Dominion, but Ospreay just makes history repeat itself. But then MJF CLOBBERS Ospreay from behind!! The fans boo as the Wolf of Wrestling continues to be a weasel! He reels Ospreay in to suplex and BRAINBUSTER!! The fans boo even harder as MJF paces around, having ripped his patriotic blazer open. But now, he puts on the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Ospreay rises, but KYLE FLETCHE is here! The Aussie Arrow fires off hands, then MJF runs away! Kyle tells Max to keep on running! Don Callis is here, too, but MJF looks for a mic! MJF gets said mic while Callis & Kyle go to Ospreay’s side.
Kyle gets a mic to tell Callis that hey, he knows they said no more helping Ospreay with his business, because that’s no longer “Family business,” but dammit, that is Kyle’s best friend! Family or not, that might as well be Kyle’s brother! Ospreay is laying in a heap because of that narcissistic, self-centered A-HOLE! Kyle will not let MJF terrorize this company, hurt whoever he wants with zero repercussions! So Max, allow him to reintroduce himself: Kyle is MJF’s karma coming to bite him in the ass! Kyle heard every single word MJF had to say about America first and all that. But Kyle knows, and the people know, MJF doesn’t care about America!
All MJF ever cares about is what is best for MJF. And secondly, Kyle heard everything MJF had to say about foreign wrestlers like Ospreay and Kyle. Now, Kyle may’ve been born in Australia, but when he was eight years old, wrestling pillows in the living room, Kyle dreamt of one day coming to America, because America is where the best wrestle! And now this country has given Kyle his dream girl, his dream house, his dream car, his dream life, and he will be forever grateful! Kyle may not be a politician, but he speaks for Australia, the UK, and especially everyone here tonight when he says we’re sick of the same old MJF BULL CRAP!!
So MJF, get your ass down here so Kyle can punch him out! MJF says if Kyle wants him right now, then okay! MJF throws off the blazer, the shirt, and even the watch! But then he says, “No.” The fans boo but Kyle says he knew this would be the case. MJF says “You don’t call the shots around here, Wannabe Will Ospreay, I do. Nobody punches an American Hero in the face and gets away with it! So you want a match? You’re gonna get one on my time. Me VS you, Dynamite next week, you’re on! But… If you thought Wembley last year was bad, ‘Koyle Fletcha,’ you got another thing coming. I’m gonna kangaroo kick your gaddamn face off, boy!”
And then, MJF will make sure Kyle suffers the same sad fate Daniel Garcia did. MJF will break Kyle’s neck, and leave him in a pool of his own blood! And the only man to blame will be Kyle’s buddy, Will Ospreay. MJF can’t wait to see the look on Ospreay’s face when he’s done dismantling his boy. And for that, you can thank MJF later. MJF holds up his title belt, but will The Protostar force feed MJF a slice of humble pie?
Backstage interview with Chris Jericho, “Big Bill” Morrissey & Bryan Keith.
Alex Marvez is with The Learning Tree, The Redwood & The Bad Apple and brings up Jericho’s huge win last week against Minoru Suzuki. But also, what’s the cake for? Bill says that the famous saying goes, “When the fruits of your labor are bountiful, thou must enjoy.” So they got Jericho a cake to celebrate 102 days as “For The World” Champion! What an accomplishment. Over 100 days, that’s something. But 102, now that’s next level. Jericho smiles and says, “Hi, guys~! Imagine that, Marvez. 102 as the For The World Champion. The longest running For The World Champion in the history of the business.
“Also, did you know, Marvez? There’s never been a cake in wrestling that didn’t end up smashed in someone’s face. But that’s not gonna happen tonight. Because the only face that’s gonna get smashed is yours, Shibata! For showing your face after I beat the Murder Grandpa, Suzuki, after he broke my finger! You’re all alone, Shibata. There’s no more Samoa Joe. We haven’t seen Hook since we threw a fireball in his face, hahaha. So even though I can’t take you out, Shibata, the Bad Apple will.”
Bryan Keith says that’s right! Shibata needs to mind his own damn business. Next week on Dynamite, Keith IS Shibata’s business. Thanks, guys! Bill hands Marvez the cake, and then Keith spooks him. Respect Chris Jericho and eat the cake. Marvez takes a taste, and it’s not bad. A historic moment in wrestling: the cake survives. But will Shibata look to make some history by crushing the Bad Apple and then tearing down poisonous tree it fell from?

When The Babe with The Power went down to Mexico and won this title in a Triple Threat, she instantly proved the Galaxy’s Greatest Traitor and her pint-sized sidekick wrong: she CAN accomplish greatness without them! But now, they want to ruin things for her all over again. Will Willow end up owing Kris a title match? Or can she cross Kris off the list?
Kris and Stokely wait on the outside as Willow makes her entrance. Stokely stokes the flames by saying Kris never needed Willow. Willow tells Kris to get in the ring, but Kris eggs Willow on. Willow storms up, but into a HOTSHOT! Kris goes up, leaps in, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! The bell rings and now it’s a match! Kris storms up to fire off hands! She CHOPS Willow, CHOPS again, then CHOPS again! Kris soaks up the heat and then winds up before she runs back in. Willow dodges to CHOP, CHOP, and then she turns Kris around to CHOP her on the back! Willow whips Kris to a corner, runs up and back body blocks!
Willow LARIATS, snapmares, and BOOTS Kris down! Kris staggers up, Willow whips and SPINE- NO, Kris sunset flips! TWO and Willow prawn holds! TWO, and Willow stands up. The fans duel as Willow ducks the roundhouse! Willow ROCKS Kris, reels her in, and FISHERMAN SUPLEXES! Bridging cover, TWO! Not quite perfect but Kris bails out to get away. Willow goes to the apron, and she runs up, but Kris moves away! Willow huffs and puffs and storms up to Kris. Willow CLUBS Kris, SMACKS her off the apron, then ducks a haymaker to ROCK Kris! Willow THROWS Kris into barriers and the fans fire up!
Willow runs up, but Kris moves, CANNONBALL hits only barriers! Willow writhes, Kris soaks up more heat, then fans herself off while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The fans rally for Willow but Kris runs up to BOOT her! Kris SMACKS Willow off steel steps, then CLUBS her. Kris puts Willow in the ring, covers, TWO! Kris huffs ‘n’ puffs, drags Willow up, and whips her hard into a corner! Willow staggers, so Kris shoves her back into the corner! Kris stomps a mudhole in, then digs her boot into Willow’s neck! The ref counts, Willow pushes Kris’s boot away, but Kris CLUBS her! Kris makes Willow smile with fishhooks! The ref reprimands, Kris lets off and then reels Willow in for a short arm LARIAT! Cover, TWO and Willow ghost pins! TWO! and Kris stands to BOOT Willow down!
Kris CLUBS Willow again and again, then paces. Kris drags Willow up by her hair, puts her in ropes, and CHOKES her! Kris smiles before she thrashes around! The ref counts, Kris lets off, but Stoke cheers Kris on. Kris brings Willow up but Willow fires elbows. Willow runs, but Kris ELBOWS her down! Kris rains down furious fists, then clamps on with a chinlock. Willow endures, but Kris leans on the hold. Willow fights up, but Kris CLUBS away on her again! Then she snap suplexes Willow down! Willow grits her teeth while clutching her back, but Kris drags her back up. Kris CLUBS Willow in the chest! Then CLUBS her again!
Kris stands Willow up to ROCK her with a forearm! Willow ROCKS Kris back! Dynamite returns as the forearms keep going! The fans rally behind Willow but Kris CHOPS and fires a flurry! Kris reels Willow in, but Willow suplexes to GOURD BUSTER! The fans fire up as Willow short arm LARIATS Kris! Then another short arm LARIAT! And then another short- NO, Kris gets under! Willow ELBOWS her, then SPINEBUSTERS! High stack, TWO! Kris stays in this and Stokely is relieved, but not by much. Willow hauls Kris up, gut wrenches, but Kris fights free with clubbing shots to the leg! Kris then gets around, but Willow fights the Blue Thunder!
Willow CLUBS away on Kris, the fans fire up with her, and she runs, into an UPPERCUT! Kris Electric Chair Lifts! Stoke fires up as Kris SLAMS Willow down! Kris runs to SCISSOR KICK!! Cover, TWO!! Willow survives and she scrambles to ropes! Stokely shakes his head but the fans rally up. Kris hoists Willow up to fireman’s carry! Willow kicks and flails, fires shots, then dodges Kris! Kris ends up on the apron, but she CLUBS Willow! Kris drags Willow out to the apron, and SLAPS! Willow CHOPS! Kris CHOPS! Willow fires forearms in return, then fireman’s carries! APRON DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!!
The fans are thunderous and Stokely is freaking out! Willow roars, and she glares at Stokely. Willow grabs Stokely, shakes him around, then pushes him against barriers. Willow SLAPS Stokely, but Kris runs in and CLOBBERS Willow! Kris puts Willow in, goes up a corner, and MISSILE- POWERBOMB!! High stack, TWO!!! Kris survives but Willow SPIKE DDTS her!! Cover, TWO!!! Kris survives again and Willow is beside herself. Stokely gets mad now and tells Kris to get up. Willow stands Kris up to bump her off buckles and hammer away! Willow puts Kris up top, goes up after her, “This is Awesome!”
Kris fights back with forearms and a HEADBUTT! Willow falls back down and into the drop zone! Kris 450 SPLASHES!! Cover, TWO?!?! Willow survives and no one can believe it! Kris snarls, but Stokely sneaks her the chain. The very steel chain they used when they betrayed Willow int he first place. Stokely distracts the ref by going for a buckle pad! Kris wraps her hand, spins, STEEL CHAIN DISCUS!! Cover, KRIS WINS!!
Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall (earns a match for the CMLL Women’s World Championship)
Stokely celebrates with Stat while hiding the evidence! But now, Stokely fetches Kris a chair! Kris SMACKS Willow down! Willow writhes, Kris grins as she wants to destroy Willow! She SMACKS Willow again! The fans boo but Kris holds up the chair. Security runs out here to stop Kris, so Kris lets go of the chair. Then she BOOTS one of the security guards! She DECKS another, then TACKLES the third! Stokely says no, leave them be. Save this energy for Willow. The fans boo, but when and where will Kris come looking to take the title from Willow?
Bryan Danielson is here!
Greenville says “YES! YES! YES!” as The American Dragon makes his way to the ring. Bryan gets the mic, smiles as he enjoys the “YES!” chants, and then says, “It is great to be in Greenville!” The fans cheer that! Bryan says usually, people say that just for a cheap pop like that, but he and his wife actually took their engagement pictures right here in Greenville. Downtown Greenville is beautiful, he loves it here. The fans chant for “BRIE! BRIE! BRIE!”
Bryan says it is funny, because he and Brie were just looking through those pictures. And well, that made Bryan realize it is true what they say. “You don’t realize it’s the good ol’ days, until they’re almost gone.” Fans now chant “NO! NO! NO!” because they sense what’s coming. Bryan says that tonight, he is here to talk about two things: presence and promises. Bryan has been very lucky in his career. He was forced into retirement, had it all taken away from him, but since coming back, he’s been able to be present. That saying about good old days, he was able to know, able to be present in these “good old days!”
The last three years of being in AEW, Bryan has had an incredible time, and it’s been the most fun time of his career. Before coming out here, Bryan was able to be present behind the curtain. When he came out here and the fans chanted “YES!” Bryan was able to be present. The fans cheer again, and Bryan says look at the goosebumps. The fans chant “Thank You, Bryan!” and Bryan gets a little choked up. He says there are just some moments he’ll never understand, but he thanks them for that. And for this moment, he was also able to be present.
But now, to promises. Bryan promised his daughter that when she turned seven, he would stop wrestling full-time. He promised his family that his contract with AEW would be the last wrestling contract he ever signed, and said contract ends… tomorrow. The fans can’t believe it, but Bryan says he promised himself that every time he stepped foot in this ring, he’d give every single thing that he has. For the fans because they deserve it, and for himself because he deserves it. The fans chant, “You Deserve It!” Bryan says when he came to AEW, he said he’d do two things: kick poeple’s heads in, and win the AEW World Champoinship.
Now, over the last three years, he’s kicked a lot of heads in. But he has not won the AEW World Championship. Yet. The fans like the sound of that! Bryan says this is probably going to be his last shot. No, it will be. Because going into AEW’s biggest show of the year, Wembley Stadium, All In, there are doctors telling Bryan that he shouldn’t. His family doesn’t want him to wrestle. But here is Bryan’s promise: he will go to Wembley; he will be present for that moment; he will give us every single thing that he has; he will give us 100% where 101% is not possible!
Bryan promises that at All In, with his body, mind and soul, he will go all in! And to ensure he keeps that promise- WAIT. Prince Nana makes his way out here, and here comes Swerve Strickland! The Realest AEW World Champion makes his way down to the ring, Nana doing his dance and Greenville joining in. Swerve steps in the ring, grabs himself a mic, and he looks at Bryan. Nana and the fans chant, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” But then here comes the “YES! YES! YES!” Swerve says he’ll keep it real: he respects the hell outta Bryan.
Sweve respects the fact that Bryan inspired an entire generation of young wrestlers to go out there and chase their dreams, Swerve included. And if this was any other time, Swerve would be rooting for Bryan, cheering him on to go All In, win the title and have his moment. But this is Swerve’s time. When Swerve came to AEW, he said he would win the world title, and he did. Bryan is one of the greatest in this generation, but Swerve is one of a kind. Hell, Swerve is so ahead of his time, people 10 years from now will wanna sit back and press rewind.
Bryan came in, said he’d win the world title, kick everybody’s head in. Guess he couldn’t handle it when they started kicking back, huh? Swerve grins and Bryan manages a smirk. Swerve says he’ll let Bryan know right now: This is not an achievement award; this is not something you get after 25 years of service. No, this world title is something that shows you and shows everyone in the world that beyond the shadow of a doubt, you are the best in the world. And Swerve IS The Best in the World! Bryan challenged Ospreay, had a classic, but he lost! Hell, he got hurt! But when Ospreay challenged Swerve, Swerve won.
Bryan took on The Elite in Anarch in the Arena, and Bryan lost. Swerve led Team AEW in Blood & Guts and he won. Hell, Swerve was at last year’s All In performing in front 80,000+ while Bryan was too broken down to even get on a flight to London. The fans are torn again, but Swerve tells Bryan that maybe Bryan’s body can’t handle the pressure of being world champion. Bryan makes promises, he wants to “be in the moment.” So, let’s be in this moment, and Swerve will make a promise to Bryan. Swerve promises Bryan that Swerve is the most dangerous man in AEW.
And Swerve will also promise that Bryan will not be walking out of All In as champion. Hell, Bryan may never walk again. Swerve smirks, he and Nana go to leave, but Bryan tells Swerve, “I have one more promise.” Bryan promises that if he doesn’t win the AEW World Championship, he will never wrestle again. The fans are stunned to hear that, but Swerve chuckles. Bryan says it will be Title VS Career! What does Swerve say? Bryan offers the handshake, and Swerve takes it. The deal is struck, and then Swerve says, “That’s very noble of you, Bryan. But don’t keep that promise to me. Keep it with your family.”
Swerve leaves with that mic drop final line. Bryan is truly going all in by putting more than just his pride on the line. Will Bryan pull off this massive Wembley win? Or will Swerve be the last man to slay the American Dragon?

Renee Paquette is there as Bryan returns through gorilla. Does he have any comment on the deal he just struck? The moment The Conglomeration steps in, the brawl is on! Rush is after Mark, Roddy is of course after Ishii, but Mortos waits for Cassidy. Roddy and Rush TOSS Ishii and Mark but the brawl continues on the outside! The bell rings as Cassidy and Mortos are left in the ring. Cassidy uses his denim jacket like a matador’s cape to egg Mortos on! Mortos runs in, OLE~ into the buckles! Mortos gets mad, runs up at Cassidy again, OLE~! The fans rally and Cassidy fixes his hair, but Mortos rises! Cassidy senses that, but Mortos shoves him and SPEARS him down! Cassidy tumbles out, Ishii storms in! Mortos BOOTS Ishii, but Ishii stays up! Ishii fires a forearm, but Mortos ROCKS Ishii in return! Mortos suplexes, but Ishii stops that to suplex back! Mortos fights that to suplex Ishii! The fans fire up, and here comes Rush! Rush steps to Ishii, they each grab the other by the neck. They push each other, then run up to RAM! Ishii runs to RAM Rush! Rush doesn’t budge so Ishii runs again. By the way, we can see in the background, Mortos whip Cassidy hard into railing! Roddy also brawls with Mark while Ishii RAMS Rush. Ishii runs again, Rush dodges, but then Ishii dodges, and he CLOBBERS Rush! Rush gets up to kick, snapmare and KICKS again! Ishii just stands up to get in Rush’s face! The forearms go back and forth, again and again! Rush CHOPS! And CHOPS! Ishii just fires boxing elbows in return!
Ishii runs, Rush follows but Ishii SWATS the lariat! Rush elbows back, then ROLLING ELBOWS! Ishii drops to his knees, but here comes Briscoe! The fans fire up as Chicken and Bull fire hands! Rush CHOPS, Mark CHOPS, repeat! The CHOPS go again and again, then Mark fires a forearm! Rush fires a body shot, a CHOP, and whips. Mark reverses, runs up and JUMP KICKS! Mark keeps moving, Rush follows to SPLASH! Rush tells off the fans, runs side to side, but Mark DECKS him! The fans fire up, Mark gets a chair, and he sets it up by the ropes. Cassidy and Ishii set everyone up, Mark runs, but Roddy runs in to DROPKICK!
Roddy puts the chair outside, the fans boo, but then Roddy goes for Mark. Mark UPPERCUTS Roddy, Roddy goes to the floor, and Mark gives him a BLOCKBUSTER to the floor! The fans fire up as Mark then uses the chair to CANNONBALL Rush & Mortos! The fans are fired up as Mark drags Rush up, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Mark sends Rush into railing, then CHOPS him! Ishii & Cassidy mug Mortos, put him in the ring, then stomp Roddy down. Cassidy whips Mortos into the corner, then runs corner to corner to forearm SMASH! Ishii adds a LARIAT! Mark adds a SPLASH! Then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Cassidy goes up and he LAZY ELBOW DROPS! Cover, TWO! Mortos is tougher than that, but Roddy drags Mark out to send him into barriers! Ishii storms out there but Rush ROCKS him! Roddy gives Mark a BARRIER BACK SUPLEX! Mortos fires hands on Cassidy, Rush CHOKES Ishii, and Roddy tags in. Roddy DECKS Cassidy, then hauls him up for a BACKBREAKER!
Roddy calls to Rush, tags him in, and they drag Cassidy up. They mug Cassidy, then Rush puts him in a corner. Rush whips corner to corner, runs in, and fakes him out to SLAP him down! Rush then puts Cassidy in the corner, soaks up the heat, and runs corner to corner, to fake Cassidy out again for a BOOT! Rush rolls back to tranquilo! Rush taunts the fans and then stands on Cassidy for a cover. TWO, but Rush taunts Mark now. The ref has to keep Mark back, and Rush drags Cassidy over. Dynamite returns to single picture as Rush tags Mortos. Rush CHOPS Cassidy, then he and Mortos double whip to double hip toss SLAM!

Cassidy dodges the splash but Mortos catches him! Mortos suplexes, into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Rush runs up to anchor Cassidy! Cassidy BOOTS Rush into Mortos! Hot tag to Mark Briscoe! Renee says we just want some more explanation for the heinous things she did to Toni Storm. Mariah says, “What more do I have to explain? Do you not watch the show? It’s all been very clear. From day one, I said I wanted to be just like Toni Storm. I gained her trust, her love, got closer to her than anybody else, and I sliced her open and wore her skin. What do you not understand?” Renee asks why Toni Storm. What’d she ever do to Mariah? Mariah says, “Nothing. And that’s why she was perfect.”
Mariah loved Toni Storm. She gave Mariah everything she ever wanted. Toni always said this business would eat you alive. So seems it was Mariah’s turn to eat. Renee asks that now with Toni Storm back- Mariah says she’s done answering questions. Renee says okay, and takes her leave. The other wrestlers of AEW, as well as Tony Khan, had to step in to stop this from getting physical, but it was clear what TK had to do. The TBS Championship will be on the line at All In, Mone VS Baker!

Mone says you can see why Kamille is the Brickhouse. For weeks, Mone has bene victimized by Britt Baker. The fans chant “D M D! D M D!” and that gets on Mone’s nerves. Mone has tried to turn the other cheek, has tried to be diplomatic, but Britt has taken things way too far with her constant harassment and attacks on Mone! It’s like Britt is obsessed!
But at the same time, who isn’t obsessed with The CEO? Now, Britt may’ve gotten her match for the TBS Championship at All In after that stunt she pulled at Comic-Con, but it also got her suspended for tonight by Mone’s EVPs~! So Mone is not worried because she has Kamille. Not even Britt can break this Brickhouse. So go ahead, Britt, complain to anyone who will listen about how you built this house with your blood, sweat and tears. No one cares! Because AEW is Mone’s house now! The fans boo but Mone says she’s going to turn the house into a mansion, because that’s how she rolls.
But don’t worry, Britt. Losing to Mone will still be the greatest thing that’s ever happened to Britt. Mone changes everything. The CEO struts alongside her new muscle, but will nothing stop Britt from becoming the Face of TBS?

The fans fire up as Darby DROPKICKS Hangman out of the ring! Darby then goes up and up and SUPER COFFIN SPLASHES into a waistlock! GERMAN SUPLEX to the floor! Darby flounders, the ref checks him, but Hangman storms over. Hangman THROWS Darby into railing!
Hangman gets into the face of fans, and one young fan shouts, “Darby’s Better!” Hangman’s rebuttal is that he THROWS Darby into more railing! Hangman grabs a chair, storms over, but the ref says get this in the ring. Hangman ignores that, and he stalks Darby up to the stage. The ref says they win this match in the ring! Hangman gets in the ref’s face to tell him to shut up! The ref dares him to do something then! But Darby runs up, THROWBACK STUNNER! Darby then climbs up on top of the tunnel! Darby aims, to SUPER DUPER COFFIN SPLASH!! Down goes Hangman and Darby tumbles away!
The fans lose their minds while both men writhe on the stage! Darby rises up and drags Hangman along with a headlock. Darby even twists Hangman’s nose while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Whoa, the lights go out, aside from the LED barriers. What’s going on here? The ref checks if both men are still here, and someone turns the lights back on. Darby goes out after Hangman but Hangman CLAWS his face! Hangman then whips Darby hard into steel steps! Darby flounders around, Hangman looms over him, and then Hangman puts Darby in the ring. Hangman has Darby on the apron to CLUB him in the chest! And CLUB him again! Hangman leaves Darby behind to go fetch the steel steps! Hangman drags those over to where Darby is, and then he brings Darby around to get some space.
The fans rally and duel, but Hangman scowls as he whips Darby! Darby leaps over the steps, then runs up the steps to CROSSBODY! Only for Hangman to catch him, POST him, and then APRON BACKBREAKER! Hangman then spins Darby around to bring him up, APRON BOMB! And APRON BOMB again! The ref reprimands but Hangman hoists Darby up again, APRON BOMB!! Hangman is being relentless himself, and he scoops Darby to then look to the steps. The fans rally up, Hangman’s about to show us some “COWBOY S*IT!” Hangman FALL AWAY SLAMS Darby onto the steps!! Darby writhes, Hangman soaks up the heat, and then Hangman leaves Darby behind.
Dynamite goes picture in picture as the ref checks on Darby. Somehow, Darby is okay to continue, if only just. Hangman seethes even as he waits in the ring. The ring count starts, Darby stirs, but he’s still outside at 5 of 10. Hangman paces as he watches the count rise. We reach 8 of 10! And then 9! Darby jumps in at 9.5, but then flops right back out! Darby has another count but Hangman goes out to push the steel steps around. Hangman then brings Darby up and scoops again. SNAKE EYES off the top of the steps! Darby flounders all the way to the barriers! Hangman mocks the fans cheering on Darby, then storms over.
Hangman drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then stares down the fans. Hangman goes back for Darby, drags him up, but Darby fires body shots! There’s not much to them, though… Hangman eggs Darby on, then ROLLING ELBOWS him down! Cover, TWO! Hangman paces around Darby, looms over him as he crawls for the corner, then drags him back up. Hangman hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Darby fires body shots, but Hangman CLUBS away on Darby’s back! Hangman goes to the very top, scoops Darby, and SUPER FALL AWAY SLAMS!! Darby tumbles all the way to the other corner!
The fans are torn again as Hangman glares at Darby. Hangman storms back over, and we’re again near the steel steps. Hangman drags Darby up, scoops him again, but Darby kicks and flails! Darby gets free, drops down tot he floor, and leans against the steps. Hangman steps from apron to steps, but Darby TRIPS him! Hangman lands hard on the steel! Darby CLAWS at Hangman’s face! The ref reprimands, Darby leaves Hangman behind to go into the ring. The fans fire up as Darby builds speed, to DIVE! The tope hits Hangman off the steps!! The fans are thunderous with “This is Awesome!” while a ring count begins.
Darby crawls his way over, slides in at 7 of 10, and Hangman rises at 8. Hangman rolls in, Darby fires off fists! Darby takes off his leather belt to LASH Hangman! And LASH him again! The ref reprimands so Darby throws the belt aside. SHOTGUN and Hangman is sent into buckles! Darby keeps moving, COFFIN SPLASH! Darby goes again, but Hangman dodges! Hangman returns, Darby ELBOWS Hangman away! Darby hops on, CODE RED! Cover, TWO! Darby hurries to a corner and climbs up! COFFIN DROP into a REAR NAKED CHOKE!! But Darby hurries to roll back, TWO!! Darby and Hangman stand, Darby BOOTS first!
Darby goes to the apron, and he slingshots! But Hangman LARIATS first!! Cover, TWO!! Hangman HAMMERS Darby for trying to copy his move! Hangman lets off only to flip Darby over and bring him up. Hangman lifts Darby for a LAST RIDE!! Cover, TWO!! Darby barely gets a shoulder up! Hangman scowls, he paces around, and he drags Darby up. Hangman Alabama Lifts Darby, for DEADEYE! But Hangman holds on!? Hangman stands up, to DEADEYE AGAIN!! Hangman has a wild look in his eyes, because he is not done with Darby. Hangman goes to the apron, throws off his elbow pad, and he takes aim.
Darby slowly rises, staggers up and turns around, but then falls over! Hangman stops himself, and then he drags Darby from ropes. Hangman YANKS Darby up, but Darby lands on his feet! Darby arm-drags, loops around, Oklahoma Roll! DARBY WINS!!!

Now Hangman’s pissed at the ref! The ref says the count was the count, it’s Hangman’s own fault for letting Darby stick around! Well, Hangman isn’t gonna let that happen now! Hangman looks under the ring, throws chair after chair into the ring, and then adds chairs from outside! Darby gets away to the ramp, and he flips Hangman off! Will Darby be truly relentless until he’s once again The Face of TNT?
My Thoughts:
A great episode of Dynamite, though with some elements missing I thought we’d get. Darby Allin VS Hangman was an awesome main event, and yet not one appearance by Jack Perry. I thought the lights going out was the thing, but then maybe they screwed that up because Jack didn’t show up. That would’ve been a very House of Torture thing for Jack to do, though. But Darby wins out after taking all that damage, and gets away without anything else happening. We still have three weeks before All In, so we’ll have to wait and see how the go-home math sorts out. At the same time, if Darby’s going for the world title at Grand Slam, maybe he doesn’t win the TNT Championship. Or he does win the TNT Championship, and then he makes it Winner Takes All in New York.
And with that, it almost has to be Swerve meeting Darby in New York. Great promo segment from Bryan and Swerve, and I suppose they’re just cutting to the chase. Bryan’s on his last year as a full-time wrestler, so why go past All In if he’s not meant to win? And I do like that he is making Jeff Jarrett practice what he preached last week, they’ll have a really good match next week to give Bryan some momentum going into All In. Swerve probably has a tune-up match of his own soon, which I’m sure he’ll win, too.
Another element I’m surprised was missing was Pac. We got a name drop for Pac but maybe he’ll have a promo for Collision to establish what he wants to do about being number one contender yet having to watch Ospreay and MJF fight things out. MJF and Ospreay had a really good promo segment, but getting the fans to play along with “The American guy is the jerk here” was not going 100% the way they wanted. Even so, great segue into Ospreay VS Archer, awesome match from them, and great win for Ospreay. MJF of course attacked after, but I really liked Kyle Fletcher running out there to make the save. As I’ve been hoping, it feels like Kyle is going to go against Callis’ wishes and stick by Ospreay’s side, meaning Kyle will leave the Don Callis Family.
Kris VS Willow was a great match, and I figured Kris would win with cheating. Now she and Willow will have the title match, maybe part of the All In Zero Hour, maybe on the go-home episode in London. That probably goes Willow’s way so that she can finish things with Kris & Stoke once and for all. Good squash win for Kamille, her and Mone showing up as Bane & Poison Ivy (respectively) to Comic-Con was a deep cut in Batman movie references. But great promo from Mone being the typical hypocritical Heel, and of course we’re getting Britt VS Mone now. I wonder if The EVPs will again help Mone by giving her some kind of advantage, or scheduling Britt for a match with Kamille and other powerhouses to try and soften her up.
Speaking of The Bucks, a little surprised we didn’t get them anywhere tonight, either. But Acclaimed had a really good promo to call out FTR, that’ll be a good confrontation on Saturday. But with all this talk of Caster being the Best Wrestler Alive and not The Acclaimed being the Best Wrestlers Alive, I wonder if there’s some kind of break-up slowly being cultivated. If The Acclaimed lose out on the tag titles, that could be the breaking point. But of course we got a promo from Jericho. But I do like that they exaggerated how great it is to reach 102 days, and how they really did break the streak of cake going into someone’s face. But Keith is of course losing to Shibata to set up Shibata VS Jericho, which will be an awesome match.
Great Six Man Tag of Conglomeration VS Roddy, Rush & Mortos. I didn’t think The Conglomeration would lose, but seeing as how Mortos was involved and he’s been going so strong, it makes sense. Mortos teaming with The Kingdom on Saturday is interesting, too, and that 8 Man Tag will be great stuff. I am sure Callis will try to recruit Mortos, given they need a powerhouse with Hobbs still hurt, and will need someone else while Trent is also recovering from injury. I just don’t think Mortos will agree since he’s a wild monster kind of character. I still don’t know why AEW gave up on LFI, I feel like joining Callis could’ve helped Preston Vance.
And of course, great promos from Mariah and Toni. Mariah has shifted into this emotionless sociopath rather well, and everyone loves it when Toni goes wild. Given all the emotion and brutality both women have put into this story, that match has the potential to steal the show, which is saying something given the rest of the card so far.

Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?
The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. The fans boo, Bravo headlocks, but Briscoe powers up, out, and headlocks in return. Bravo powers up and out but Briscoe RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Briscoe runs. Bravo drops down, hurdles, but Briscoe hits a crane stance! Bravo says that’s stupid! But Briscoe ducks Bravo’s punch to UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Bravo reverses to ROCK Briscoe! The forearms go back and forth, Briscoe fires a flurry, but Bravo CLAWS Briscoe’s face!
Bravo runs, but Briscoe winds up to UPPERCUT! The fans cheer the Redneck Kung-Fu! Lee tags in and hits his tiger stance. But then Kyle calls to Briscoe, and Briscoe tags Kyle! The fans cheer as Kyle and Lee tie up, go around, and Kyle wrenches. Lee wrenches, slips through, and waistlocks. They go around, Lee switches but Kyle has the arm. Kyle arm-drags Lee down, double wristlock, but Lee fights around. Kyle body scissors, rolls to the cover, TWO! The fans fire up as the two go again, knuckle lock, and Lee headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, Lee goes up and around, but Kyle does the same to slide under.
Lee ducks a kick, then wheelbarrows to victory roll, then EURO CLUTCH! TWO! Kyle is up, Lee backs off, and the fans cheer the exchange. Lee points to Nigel McGuinness, wanting him to remember the Euro Clutch did him in the last time they faced off. Kyle storms up on Lee, Lee headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Lee RUNS Kyle, keeps moving, but Kyle drops down. Lee sunset flips but Kyle stays up! Kyle shakes his head, drops down into the ARMBAR, but here comes The Infantry! Briscoe & Cassidy intercept Dean & Bravo, fire off hands in corners, and Kyle shifts to an ANKLE LOCK! But Lee reels Kyle into a headlock.
Briscoe & Cassidy TOSS The Infantry, then go out after them. Lee waistlocks, Kyle fires elbows, and Kyle climbs up in the corner. The fans count along as Kyle goes all the way to TEN! Tag to Briscoe, he climbs up, and he rains down fists! Briscoe goes all the way to TEN, then he tags Cassidy! The fans fire up again as Cassidy winds up, climbs up, and rains down ONE! The fans cheer Cassidy while Lee stumbles. Lee tags Dean, and now The Captain steps to Cassidy. Dean says go ahead, put the hands in the pockets. Cassidy says okay, and he raises his hands, to then slowly, slowly, put them in his pockets!
The fans cheer as Cassidy then ducks ‘n’ dodges Dean, and still arm-drags Dean away! Dean runs up, Cassidy drops down to MONKEY FLIP! Then Cassidy kips up! The fans fire up, but Bravo storms in and whips him to a corner. Cassidy goes up, out, and ducks Bravo to bump him off buckles! Dean tries, but Cassidy bumps him off buckles! Bravo tries again, he just gets buckles! Dean tries again, he just gets buckles! The fans fire up as Cassidy climbs, but Lee trips him up! The fans boo while Cassidy falls to the mat, but the ref has to keep Kyle & Briscoe from going after Lee! The Infantry flanks Cassidy, but Cassidy bobs n’ weaves to dodge the shots!
Cassidy tries again, but the CARLIE CROSSOVER hits, then a feed to the SLINGSHOT SPEAR! Lee drags Cassidy to the apron, the ref is still distracted, Shane Taylor hits a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans boo but STP has taken control while Collision goes to picture in picture!
Lee drags Cassidy up, puts him in the ring, and Dean covers, TWO! Dean drags Cassidy up, whips him to ropes, then BODY BLOWS! Cassidy falls in a heap but Dean soaks up heat. Dean stomps Cassidy, drags him up, then bumps him off buckles. Dean tags Bravo to send him in for the SPLASH! Dean adds a SPLASH, then scoops while Bravo goes up, KNEE DROP SIDEWALK SLAM COMBO! Cover, Briscoe breaks it! Bravo is upset, but he CLUBS Cassidy. Cassidy fights the suplex, Bravo CLUBS him again and again, then suplexes through! Cover, TWO! Cassidy toughs it out but Bravo drags Cassidy over to the corner.
Dean tags in, The Infantry stomps away on Cassidy, but the ref counts. Dean stops to kneel on Cassidy, then steps off again. Cassidy throws “shots” on the leg, but Dean stomps Cassidy down! Dean then BLASTS Briscoe & Kyle! The ref reprimands but that just lets Bravo CHOKE Cassidy! The ref reprimands Bravo now as Collision returns to single picture. Dean asks, “Is this camera on me? B! B! C!” BRONCO BUSTER CAPTAIN! Dean bounces, Bravo says if you see Cap in that corner, yo’ ass is a goner! Dean drags Cassidy up, tags Bravo, and Dean sends Bravo in for the SPLASH! Then feed to Dean, but Cassidy tilt-o-whirl DDTS!
The fans fire up but Bravo hurries to anchor a foot! Cassidy reaches out, reaches out, but Bravo drags him back! Cassidy BOOTS Bravo away, Lee tags in, and Lee BOOTS Briscoe down! The fans boo but Cassidy swings! Lee blocks the lariat to wrench Cassidy into the COBRA TWIST! The fans boo, the ref keeps Kyle back, and STP links up on the twist! Four men strong and they make Cassidy suffer! The ref sees that, Dean lets go to defend his innocence, but that causes him to fall onto Bravo! Cassidy powers up to HIP TOSS free! Hot tag to Kyle! Kyle BOOTS Lee, KICKS him, then fires off a strike fest! LEG SWEEP!
Lee flounders to a corner but Kyle runs up to forearm SMASH! Kyle wrenches and ELBOW BREAKERS, then cravats for some knees! Snapmare and a PENALTY KICK! Cover, TWO! ARMBAR! The Infantry attacks Kyle! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Bravo drags Lee to safety. Bravo tags in, then he tags Dean. Bravo jukes around Kyle, lifts him up, BACK SUPLEX NECKBREAKER COMBO! Cover, TWO! Kyle survives but Bravo runs up! Kyle ELBOWS Bravo away, BOOTS Dean, then goes up! FLYING KNEE for Dean, LARIAT for Bravo! The fans fire up again because Chicken is rising! Kyle crawls, hot tags to Briscoe and Lee!
Briscoe fires off JAB after JAB on Lee, then whips, but Lee grabs ropes. Lee BOOTS back, runs up, but Briscoe dodges! FLYING FOREARM! The Infantry is back, but Briscoe dodges Bravo to ROCK Dean! Briscoe CHOPS Bravo, then repeat! Dean slips around, but Briscoe BOOTS Bravo away! Then Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Dean falls out of the ring, Briscoe reels Bravo in! Briscoe underhooks but Bravo fights free! Bravo whips but Briscoe WRECKS Dean with a dropkick! Then he RAMS Bravo and DUMPS him out! Cassidy DIVES to hit Lee! Briscoe gets a chair! The fans fire up as the chair is set up, and Briscoe runs, only for Shane to stand in the way!
ORANGE PUNCH for Shane! Kyle FLYING KNEES Shane down for good measure! Briscoe uses the chair to FLY! Down goes STP!! The fans are thunderous as Kyle gets Dean in, and Briscoe is up top! FROGGY-BOW! Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.
“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?

Lexy Nair congratulates them on their win tonight, and brings up that Moxley has accepted Kyle’s challenge. Kyle says yes, Moxley is right, Kyle has his number. But facing Moxley has been the biggest test of Kyle’s career, so what’s one more test? This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Cassidy says Willow needs to say something.
Willow says sure, okay. Great job, guys, really. But for her, Double or Nothing, it will be TRIPLE or nothing, because she has THIS bad boy, the TBS Championship! But she’s also coming for The Owen, and the World Championship! As for tonight, Red Velvet may have beaten Willow to qualify for The Owen, but that won’t happen tonight. Welcome back to AEW, time to meet the Comeback Killer. Lexy says by the way, that match is next. Willow fires up, hurries off to make her entrance, but will she be ready to cook with The Chef?
AEW TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale VS Red Velvet!
Before making her entrance, the ROH Women’s World TV Champion tells Willow, “The Comeback Killer,” that she’s still salty that Willow is in The Owen and Velvet is not. Tonight, she takes out all her frustrations every time she stirs it up and punches Willow in the face. Yeah, Velvet beat Willow before. And in fact, she’ll beat Willow for that TBS title right now!
The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see if The Babe with The Power is still the Face of TBS!
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, Willow powers Velvet to a corner, and the ref counts. Willow backs off, and she flexes as she fires the fans up. The two reset, tie up, and Willow SHOVES Velvet away. Velvet is frustrated as she comes back and resets with Willow again. Velvet then slips around Willow, waistlocks, but Willow wrenches out. Velvet wrenches back, top wristlocks, but Willow stays up. Velvet kicks and TRIPS Willow, then steps over to LEG DROP on the arm scissor! The fans rally as Willow rolls and stacks Velvet, TWO! Willow gut wrenches, but Velvet slips through! Willow ducks, but the superkick still scuffs her!
Willow says okay, okay, and she resets with Velvet. The fans rally behind Willow as she offers a handshake. Velvet accepts, but then arm- NO! Willow stops the arm-drag, and the next one, then whips Velvet to RUN her over! Willow fires up, the fans cheer, and things keep moving. Velvet runs up to CALF KICK! Willow flounders to a corner and Velvet storms up on her. Velvet fires body shots, then stomps Willow down. The ref counts but Velvet does the splits as she digs her boot in! The fans are torn but Willow pushes the foot away. Velvet runs back up, but Willow dodges to LARIAT again and again! The fans count all the way to TEN!
Willow short arm- NO, Velvet ducks the shot, but Willow ELBOWS her! Willow fireman’s carries, Velvet sunset flips, but Velvet avoids the hip drop! Ghost pin, TWO! Willow FISHERMAN SUPLEXES! A deep bridge, TWO! Not quite perfect but Willow shrugs that off. Willow runs, but Velvet avoids the senton! Velvet hurries to STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Velvet snarls while Willow bails out. Velvet pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Willow! Velvet DOUBLE CHOPS Willow, then CLUBS away on Willow! Velvet reels Willow in, talks trash on the fans, but Willow suplexes instead! Willow stalls then SLAMS Velvet on the floor!
The fans cheer as Willow flexes and high-fives, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Willow drags Velvet up, puts her in the ring, then CLUBS her on the back. Willow stands Velvet up but Velvet fires hands. Willow CLUBS Velvet again, then scoops to SLAM! Willow pushes Velvet down to SENTON! Cover, TWO! Velvet toughs it out but Willow stirs it up. Willow stands Velvet up to CHOP, Velvet CHOPS back, but Willow ROCKS her! Fireman’s carry, AIRPLANE SPIN! Willow goes around and around, then back the other way! Willow then SAMOAN DROPS! Willow says that’s how you stir it up! Cover, TWO! Velvet survives but Willow reels her into a KOJI KLUTCH! Velvet endures, even as Willow puts on the pressure, and Collision goes to break!
Collision returns as Willow has Velvet in a corner. Willow runs corner to corner, but Velvet slips to the outside! Willow ROCKS Velvet first, then goes outside to fireman’s carry! But Velvet fights free! Velvet ROCKS Willow, Willow ROCKS Velvet, and Velvet sits down! Willow fires the fans up, then lines up her shot. Velvet stands up, Willow runs, but Velvet dodges! Cannonball crashes ‘n’ burns!! Willow writhes and clutches her back, but she’s somehow still in this! A ring count starts, Velvet rolls in before 3, but Willow rises up at 5. Willow hobbles her way over, rolls into the ring, but Velvet SUPERKICKS her down! Cover, TWO!
The fans rally as Velvet brings Willow up. Willow shoves Velvet, Velvet counter punches! And counter punches! Velvet fires a flurry, but Willow slips around to waistlock. Willow frowns as she scoops Velvet, RAMS her into a buckle, then OKLAHOMA- NO, Velvet DDTS free again!
The fans fire up as Velvet dragon sleepers, STRAIGHT OUT THE- NO! Willow stops Velvet to POWERSLAM through! The fans fire up as Willow gut wrenches, BABE WITH THE POWER- RANA! Velvet puts Willow back on ropes, and DOUBLE KNEES again! Velvet snaps Willow back, but Willow is up! Wheelbarrow and- FULL NELSON SLAM! Cover, TWO!! Velvet survives but Willow keeps on her. Willow ROCKS Velvet, Velvet ROCKS Willow, repeat! Willow rebounds to LARIAT! Both women are down again and the fans fire back up! Velvet rolls away to a corner, but Willow rises up! Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Or is this one Collision Darby will not walk away from?

Tommaso Ciampa is CHOKING Mark Briscoe out! The Psycho Killer SMACKS Briscoe off road cases, and says how dare Briscoe call him out! Their brawl now moves onto the stage! The fans boo as Ciampa fires hands on Briscoe as they go down the ramp! Ciampa whips, Briscoe reverses, and Ciampa hits barriers hard! Briscoe stomps away on Ciampa, the fans fire up, and Briscoe whips Ciampa into more barriers! Briscoe throws a chair into the ring, then he drags Ciampa up and in. Now, if they both win their matches, that pits them against teach other in the semifinals. But what they also needs to talk about is last night, Supercard of Honor, Bandido retained the title, only for Swerve to attack. Brody tells Swerve that he warned him about what would happen if Swerve messed with the people Brody cared about! Next time Brody sees Swerve, he’ll- Bandido stops Brody there, and says no, no, hermano. Bandido loves you, but this is Bandido’s battle, and Brody needs to respect that.
So Bandido tells Swerve that this is a battle Swerve will not win! Swerve may be the Most Dangerous, but Bandido is the Most Wanted! And after Double or Nothing when Bandido beats Swerve, Swerve won’t be a danger to anyone anymore! Both sides of Brodido have spoken, but will either of them knock down Swerve’s House? They are on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Tournament, this has gotta be a tough one. Athena says maybe, maybe not, but the facts are this: Athena has been the ROH Women’s World Champion for over 1252 DAYS, and has left of dozens of bodies in her wake. Pretty sure Mina’s one of them. Mina says last year at All In, Athena broke Mina’s hand. Athena says so what! Last year at Death Before Dishonor, she kicked Mina’s ass all over the arena! Why does Mina think this match will be any different?
Mina laughs and says last night at Supercard, when she locked in the Figure Four on her opponent, she dreamt it was Athena. Athena says Mina is dreaming of her! So flattered! But she hopes Mina has the best dream tonight: Mina’s dead body in a ditch, next to her precious Toni Storm! Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. They argue, but Lexy keeps them from getting physical! Will the Fallen Goddess be unstoppable even in AEW? Or will The Owen will be about #MinaNow?

Nigel appreciates that, that’s what he wants to talk about. Specifically, what happened between Lio and his former tag team partner, Action Andretti. Action cost Lio the ROH World TV Championship, what is Lio’s response? Lio says it’s all fine! It’s fine! These things happen, Nigel. Losses happen, friends get upset. It’s fine. It’s fine. Lio keeps saying that, and Nigel says that is the official response. Lio again says it’s good to see Nigel.
But then Lio takes off his sunglasses to show off those creepy eyes. He smiles, and that black goo drools out… Lio continues to say it’s fine, but is it anything but fine? Or should Action learn to sleep with one eye open?

The introductions are made, and Darby kneels down with the belt, only for Sammy to STOMP him into it!! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Sammy holds up the belt as if he’s already won it! Sammy puts the belt aside, the bell rings, and Sammy KNEES Darby right outta the ring! Sammy THROWS Darby into railing, THROWS him in again, then goes back to his table! Sammy puts Darby in the ring, drags him up, then KNEES him low! Sammy grins, suplexes, and that’s just Uno Amigo! That means “One Friend.” Sammy hits Dos Amigos! Then THREE AMIGOS! Cover, TWO! Sammy is frustrated as Darby survives again. Sammy clamps on with a chinlock, not quite a bulldog choke, but Darby is still sputtering for air. The fans rally as hard as they can, and Darby rises up to fire body shots! Darby runs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS! Darby falls, Sammy covers, TWO!! Darby scrambles away but Sammy stalks him, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Sammy digs his boot into Darby’s face at the ropes, but the ref counts. Sammy stops, talks some trash, then stalks Darby to a corner. Sammy drags Darby up, whips him corner to corner hard, and Darby flounders out of the ring. Sammy pursues, drags Darby up, and he talks more trash on the fans. Sammy stands Darby up to ROCK him, then push him around. Sammy drags Darby up and THROWS him into railing! Sammy talks more trash, then walks around commentary so he can take a headset and tell everyone what he’s doing as he does it! He stomps Darby, taunts him, then has to go follow Darby around the way.
Sammy follows Darby into the ring, stands him up, but Darby fires hands! Sammy KNEES low, KNEES again and again, then ROCKS Darby! Darby falls over, but Sammy CHOKES Darby on the ropes! The ref counts, Sammy stops, and Darby coughs and sputters again. Sammy has the legs, he puts Darby under the ring, CATAPULT GUILLOTINE! Darby writhes and coughs again, but Sammy steps out to the apron. Sammy looms over Darby, drags him up by his chain, and Collision returns to single picture. Darby fights the suplex, then blocks a kick to FLIP Sammy! Sammy lands on his feet, but Darby SHOTGUNS Sammy down!
The fans fire up as Darby rises again! Darby has his second wind and he builds speed to DIVE! Into a CUTTER on the floor! Sammy puts Darby back in, Sammy springboards in, but into a REAR NAKED CHOKE!! Darby catches Sammy now and the fans fire up! Sammy flails, reaches out, but Darby pushes him down with his body weight! Sammy still endures, crawls forward, and reaches the ROPEBREAK! Darby lets go and the fans rally up again. Fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow. Darby sees Sammy on the apron, and he goes to the corner! Darby climbs, but Sammy rolls to the far side.
Darby hops down, waits on Sammy to stand, and he runs up, but into an eye poke! Sammy hoe up, and he APRON DOUBLE STOMPS Darby down! Cover, TWO!! Sammy is frustrated but he drags Darby up to the top rope. Sammy climbs up to join Darby, but Darby fights the suplex! They trade body shots, and Darby SHOVES Sammy! Sammy backflips through! Sammy is right back up top, SUPER SPANISH FLY!! Sammy crawls to the cover, TWO! Sammy clutches his knee and grits his teeth. Sammy brings the kneepad down to release some pressure, then stands up. The fans rally as Sammy hobbles over to Darby, but Darby JAWBREAKERS!
Sammy staggers, Darby runs up and fires forearms! The fans fire up as Darby roars and runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Darby wobbles, Sammy runs, but Darby blows past! Springboard and COFFIN SPLASH! The fans fire up again as Darby fires fast hands, RAMS low, then hops on, CODE RED! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and Darby is stunned! The fans rally up as Darby has Sammy in the dragon sleeper! But Sammy fires knees, snapmares free, only for Darby to ELBOW him away! Darby climbs, but Sammy SUPERKICKS the legs! Torture rack and GO TO HOSPITAL! Darby staggers around, but Sammy torture racks again! GO TO HOSPITAL!!
Darby flops down and Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy goes up top, FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO?!?! Sammy has no words, English or Spanish, but Darby flops out of the ring. Sammy goes out after Darby, and he brings out the other table! The fans rally as Sammy brings it over to set up by ringside. Sammy makes sure it is angled just right before he puts Darby on it. The fans boo, but then Sammy goes to the corner! Sammy climbs, reminds us again that he’s loco, and Sammy SUPER 630s only through the table!! Darby avoids disaster, then he puts Sammy back in! COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.
Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.
Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.
Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.
And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.

If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?
The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!
Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands! Cope DECKS Dax, and wait, Christian and Cash are brawling in the crowd! Same for Matt and Connors! Finlay CLAWS Nick’s face, Cassidy ROCKS Dax, and Cassidy whips. Dax reverses, Cassidy goes up and out to then SMACK Dax off buckles! Cassidy goes up, Ciampa BOOTS Nick, and Dax trips Cassidy. Dax CHOPS Cassidy, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans boo but Dax stands Cassidy up, SUPER DUPER PLEX!
Dax then rolls through to suplex again, but Cassidy STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRES! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!
Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!
Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!
The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!
The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.
Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.
But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. But Christian slips around to chicken wing the arms! Dax shoves Christian away, but Christian turns around, NOGGIN KNOCKER! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Cope snarls as he rises up, hot tags to Cope and Connors!
The fans fire up as The Rated R Superstar rallies on everyone! LARIAT for Cash! ELBOW for Dax! Cope TOSSES Finlay out onto Ciampa and Cash! BOOT for Connors! The fans fire up again and Cope goes to a corner. Cope is feeling it, and he aims at Connors. But then Finlay grabs a leg! The fans boo, but Nick SUPERKICKS Finlay! Connors runs up, Nick RAMS him low! Then slingshot FACEBUSTER! And cartwheel ASAI MOONSAULT! COPE-O-SETIC for Connors, TWO! The fans rally as Cope keeps focus on Connors. Cope drags Connors up, whips him to the corner, then Nick runs up! Connors puts Nick out, then he puts Matt out!
But Christian is back, and he coordinates with The Bucks, LARIAT DOUBLE ENZIGIRI on Connors! Then Cassidy somersaults for a “powerful” back elbow! Finlay runs up, Cassidy kicks the legs out! Finlay hits buckles but Ciampa runs up! Christian sends him into Cash, then dragon sleepers Ciampa. Christian sees Dax run up, kicks him low, and gets him in the same hold, DOUBLE REVERSE DDTS! The fans fire up as FTR, Ciampa and Finlay are all in drop zones! “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy, Christian and The Bucks climb the corners. Connors runs up on Cope, but Cope snatches him into a facelock!
Cope acts as air traffic control as he coordinates everyone, QUADRUPLE MACHO ELBOWS before an IMPALER!! Cover, TWO!! Connors survives and the fans can’t believe it! Ciampa and Finlay get up, The Bucks BLAST them, then DIVE! Down they go at ramp side, then Christian and Cassidy bump into each other. The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this the opener! Cassidy puts his hands up, but Christian stops him. Christian shakes his head, but then Cassidy makes Christian put his hands in his pockets! The fans fire up as Christian just THROWS Cassidy out onto FTR! Christian then goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES The Dogs!
Cope calls out a shot, runs, but into a SHATTER MACHINE!! FTR snatches Cope outta nowhere, Connors makes the cover, but Cassidy breaks it! The fans fire up as now FTR has Cassidy surrounded. But Cassidy “unleashes” his kicks! The fans go nuts with every shot, but FTR shoves Cassidy! SHATTER- DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on Cash! Cassidy fights free of Dax, but Dax blocks Nick’s Superkick! Dax sends it into Matt! Nick SUPERKICKS through after all! Finlay clinches, IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER on Nick! Matt feints the kick to DDT! But then Ciampa KNEES Matt down! Christian chicken wings Ciampa, turns him around, KILLSWITCH!
Connors JEEP FLIPS Christian! Connors then stalks Cope while the fans boo. Connors lines up a shot, Cope rises to his feet, Connors runs in! But Cope jumps over Connors’ spear, sending it into Dax! The fans fire up, Stoke freaks out, and The Bucks join Cope in the ring. They TRIPLE SUPERKICK Connors! Cassidy is in, ORANGE PUNCH! SPEAR from Cope!! Cover, C&C Conglomeration Bucks win!

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

Cage refreshes the ring count, drags Knight up again, and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Knight writhes, Cage refreshes the count again, then he whips Knight into barriers! Knight practically falls into the laps of the front row! But Cage brings Knight around to CHOP him down! Cage soaks up the cheers and jeers before he brings Knight around again. Cage SMACKS Knight off the apron, then puts him in the ring. Cage storms into the ring, drags Knight by his legs, and ties the legs up into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Knight endures as Cage sits deep! Knight powers up, fights his way forward, and he reaches to the ROPEBREAK!
The ref counts, Cage lets go at 4, but Cage brings Knight up. Knight CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS, but Cage still doesn’t back down. Knight fires more shots, but Cage UPPERCUTS him down! AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!
This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! The winner of each tournament will then challenge for THE AEW World Championship and AEW Women’s World Championships on August 30th at All In: London! And so, for the opening round, it will be: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Mark Davis; Claudio Castagnoli VS Brody King; then Double or Nothing has both Samoa Joe VS Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland VS Bandido!

We’ve seen the Aerial Assassin training with The Death Riders, he’s won gold with his old friends in The United Empire, and now he’s about to face a dangerous man at Double or Nothing. Will Ospreay be more than ready for Samoa Joe after tonight? Or will he fail to even get past The Inevitable?
The bell rings and the fans cheer Ospreay as he stares down with Ace. Ospreay offers a handshake, Ace accepts, and the fans cheer the sportsmanship. They circle, tie up, and Ospreay wrenches to wristlock. Ace rolls, handsprings, and wrenches, but Ospreay rolls, kips up, and wrenches back. Ospreay hammerlocks, Ace rolls to kip up and wrench to then armlock. Ospreay endures the grind, fights around, and he arm-drags Ace down. Ace endures, fights around, and rises up. Ace shoots through to waistlock but Ospreay switches. Ospreay hits the headlock takeover, Ace headscissors, but Ospreay kips free.
The fans cheer the standoff, and the two reset. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength. The fans rally as Ace pushes Ospreay back. Ace has Ospreay down for a knuckle lock cover, ONE as Ospreay gets his arm up. Ace pushes it down, cover, ONE as Ospreay gets the other arm up. Ace tries again, ONE as Ospreay bridges! That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?
The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!
The fans fire up again and Thekla is feeling it while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!
Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!
Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.
Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!
Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!
Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!
Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification
The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!
The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.
Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!
The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
