Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
London, Canada cheers as Schiavone says, “On Saturday afternoon, at the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto, AEW presents All Out. And now it’s time for the contract signing for the AEW World Championship, coming up on Saturday afternoon. First of all, ladies and gentlemen, the champion of the world, Hangman Adam Page!” The fans cheer as The Cowboy makes his way out to the ring. And then his opponent, the TNT Champion, as well as his manager, Don Callis, it’s Kyle Fletcher! The Protostar gets boos from the fans as he and The Jackal make their way to the ring. Hangman and Kyle then sit across from each other at the table.
Schiavone tells Hangman, Kyle and Callis that they all know what the contract says, and reminds them that there is the No Physicality Agreement in effect. This Saturday at All Out, they will fight for the AEW World Championship. The contract will first go to the challenger, Kyle Fletcher. But then Callis has Schiavone hold on. The fans boo but Callis says he as something important to say to Hangman. Callis tells Hangman, “I remember when you took that belt from me when you beat your weakling friend, Kenny Omega, many years ago. And I’ve been waiting since that time to get it back, and now, I’ve found someone who’s bigger, faster, and better than Kenny Omega and you!
“As great as you are, Hangman, there’s nothing you can do to this all-time stud athlete! There is no one like Kyle Fletcher! So enjoy the belt. Saturday, it’s coming to the Family.” The fans cuss Callis out but Hangman picks up his mic. Hangman says after last week, he is glad they are in agreement that Kyle doesn’t need any help in the match at All Out. But Hangman wants to make it crystal clear to why he asked for it. It isn’t because he and everyone else being absolutely tired of half the roster feeling the need to get involved in title matches. And it is certainly not because Hangman would have any issue with putting the whole Don Callis Family in the ground.
Let Hangman make it clear why he wants Kyle to do this on his own. It is because Hangman sees the potential in Kyle, he sees what Kyle could be. Kyle is 26-years-old, who could be in AEW for decades to come. Kyle is someone that this entire roster could one day look to as the one to carry this company into the future. If Kyle wants this title, if he wants that responsibility, he needs to prove he is the man worthy of it! Kyle has to EARN it, on his own, by himself. Kyle has to be worthy of it! And if Kyle reads the contract, he will find that if Don or any member of the Callis Family gets involved, not only would Kyle be disqualified instantly…
But he would be STRIPPED of his TNT Championship as well! Callis picks his mic back up to ask what Hangman’s talking about! Kyle has Callis calm down, and then Hangman asks what’s wrong. Is Kyle not so sure of himself now? Kyle picks up the mic to say, “You think that scares me, Hangman? You could have put anything in this contract. You could’ve said I’d have to crawl through a mile of shattered glass to get a shot at that championship, and I still would’ve signed it! I am scared of nothing. Congratulations, you got it in writing. This Saturday, there will be nobody else involved, but it changes nothing. I am still the best professional wrestler to ever step in an AEW ring!”
The fans boo that, but Kyle says, “This Saturday, I fulfill my destiny when I become the AEW Men’s World Champion. I am better than you were in 2019 when you first challenged for this championship, thank you very much. I’m better than you were in 2021 when you first won that championship, and I damn sure better than you are right now!” The fans boo again, but Kyle says, “AEW doesn’t need you anymore, Hangman. It doesn’t need Kenny Omega anymore. What it need is the Protostar, Kyle Fletcher! So this Saturday, I do you a favor: I allow you to ride off into the sunset, because that championship, and this entire company, belongs to me now.”
Kyle signs his part while the fans boo more. Schiavone takes the contract and hands it to Hangman. The fans cheer Hangman on as he takes a moment. “Kyle, I know how it feels to be you right now. I know how it feels to be in your shoes, I’ve been there. But the thing that you don’t know yet is how it will feel the morning after All Out. It will crush you. It will ruin you! It will all but take every shred of confidence that you have away from you. I believe you when you tell me that you will give me everything that you have, but it will not be enough! I will be sure of it!” The fans cheer that! Hangman says that what Kyle does with that feeling will be what defines him.
So at All Out, and in the days and even years that follow, “do not disappoint me.” Hangman signs his part, and Schiavone says it is official! Saturday, Hangman VS Fletcher for the world title! But Kyle says hold on, there is just one more thing. Kyle hopes by now, Hangman knows Kyle is a man of his word. There would be no physicality at this signing, there will be no interference on Saturday, but Kyle promises he leaves with both world and TNT titles this Saturday. And tonight… Kyle will leave Hangman beaten, bloodied, and unable to walk out of here on his own two feet! Until that moment comes, say his full name!
Kyle leaves, Callis hurries after, and he’s put Hangman on notice. Will Kyle make sure that somewhere over the course of this three hour special, he and the Family catch The Cowboy unaware?
Jon Moxley w/ The Death Riders VS Roderick Strong w/ Kyle O’Reilly!
The Maniac and his new sidekick in Red Death tore down Paragon with little remorse. The Savior of the Backbreaker looks to avenge that loss, but will there be redemption here tonight? Or will Moxley simply use Roddy as a warm-up for Darby Allin and the Coffin Match that awaits?

Moxley bails out, Roddy pursues, but Marina Shafir stands in the way! The Problem is choosing her boss over her husband!? But then Kyle gets in Garcia’s face! The fans fire up for all of this, but then Moxley throat chops Roddy! The fans boo but Moxley whips Roddy hard into railing, and Roddy tumbles over!
The fans fire up as Roddy is at their feet, and Dynamite goes picture in picture!

AEW shares footage from Collision.
It was last Saturday after Mark Briscoe gave his stipulation for the grudge match. MJF stormed right into Tony Khan’s office and said they needed to talk. MJF claims TK screwed MJF at Forbidden Door and he knows he did. Then TK takes away the instant cash-in clause for the Casino Gauntlet contract. TK owes MJF, if we’re being honest, and no, MJF isn’t done. He wants out of this Tables ‘N’ Tacks match, this TNT thing. He’s not doing it against some do*che like Mark Briscoe. He’s a real professional wrestler, TK knew that when he signed MJF, so MJF wants out.
TK says first of all, he owes MJF no such thing. Second of all, after the way MJF has acted with said contract, especially towards Mark Briscoe, MJF violated the rules of AEW and the integrity of the sport that is pro-wrestling. So no, MJF’s not getting an out. Wow, so now TK wakes up and decides to be a boss? He put his big boy pants on today, huh? MJF is “proud” of TK for that, but y’know what he’s not proud of? MJF hopes TK will be so happy when “there’s another Briscoe in the dirt, and it’s on YOU, not ME!” MJF storms back out of the office, and the Scumbag just doubles down on being a scumbag. But will Briscoe make sure to go All Out to finally shut MJF up?
Bobby Lashley w/ The Hurt Syndicate VS Toa Liona w/ Ricochet & Bishop Kaun!
Just days ahead of the big Six Man Tag grudge match for All Out, we will see truly the biggest, beefiest, and strongest members of each team step up to fight it out! Will the All Mighty show just how they hurt people? Or will the Samoan Lion prove he is the king of beasts?
The bell rings and the fans chant for MVP. Lashley paces around but Liona just watches him closely. They tie up, are in a deadlock, and then they break. The two go again, another tie up, and Lashley waistlocks. Liona powers Lashley to the corner, the ref counts, and Liona ELBOWS Lashley! The fans rally for Lashley but Liona fires more elbows. The ref counts, Liona CLUBS away on Lashley, then stomp him down! The ref counts, Liona digs his boot in, but the ref has to back him down. Ricochet asks what’s up with that. Liona puts Lashley back on the ropes to CHOKE him! The ref counts again, Liona stops at 4, and he bumps Lashley off buckles.
Liona gives Lashley a BODY SHOT, then he CLUBS him on the back! Liona CLUBS Lashley again, then rains down forearms! The ref counts, but he again has to get in there to back Liona off. Lashley puts Liona in the corner and he fires off on Liona! the fans fire up, the ref counts, and Lashley backs off. Lashley then runs in, but Liona BOOTS him down! The fans boo but Kaun talks some trash. Liona stands on Lashley while on the ropes, and the ref counts. Liona steps off and he kicks Lashley to the apron. Liona goes out after Lashley, brings him up, but Lashley kicks low! Lashley suplexes but Liona blocks! Liona HEADBUTTS Lashley!
Liona fireman’s carries, then APRON SAMOAN DROPS! The fans go nuts, the ref checks Lashley, and Kaun applauds while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ricochet talks trash at Shelton and MVP but the ref keeps everyone back. Liona drags Lashley up to THROW him into barriers! Then he LARIATS Lashley again and again! Lashley sputters, Liona pushes him, but Lashley KNEES low! Lashley THROWS Liona into barriers in return! Liona is down in a heap, but Lashley drags him up and around to THROW him back into railing! The fans cheer Lashley on as he THROWS Liona into railing again! Ricochet and Kaun are frustrated but Lashley drags Liona up to fireman’s carry. But Liona slips free to POST Lashley! The ref says to get this in the ring, so Liona puts Lashley in.
Liona aims from a corner while Lashley sputters. Lashley rises, Liona runs in, and he LARIATS! Liona keeps moving, and he LARIATS again! Then Liona turns Lashley around to run and LARAIT again! September to Remember is back to single picture while Liona climbs up. Liona CLUBS away on Lashley from all sides, then mocks Lashley’s mighty pose. But Lashley Electric Chair Lifts Liona! And SLAMS him down! The fans fire up while both men are down! MVP and Shelton coach Lashley up, Ricochet and Kaun coach Liona, but the fans are on Lashley’s side. Lashley ROCKS Liona, Liona ROCKS Lashley, and they throw those shots back and forth!

Liona runs, dodges, and POUNCES!! PERIOD! Cover, TWO!! Lashley survives and the fans fire up!
MVP shouts for Lashley to hurry to his feet, but Linoa brings Lashley up. Liona scoops, but Lashley slips free and has the HURT LOCK!! Liona drops to his knee, but he rises up to push off the corner! They fall back, it’s a cover, ONE!! Lashley has Liona on his side, he’s trapped a leg! Liona grabs at the ref but he’s fading! The ref says Liona is OUT, Lashley wins!!
Winner: Bobby Lashley, by submission
But now Ricochet & Kaun rush in! Shelton & MVP do the same, and they’re brawling! MVP BOOTS Ricochet, then JAMS him with the cane! And MVP BREAKS the cane off Ricochet’s back!! The fans go nuts, and then Shelton LARIATS Kaun up and out! MVP DECKS Kaun for good measure! Ricochet and the Gates are on the retreat, will they have no chance when The Hurt Syndicate goes All Out?
Tony Schiavone is back in the ring.
He welcomes everyone back to September to Remember, and says this is a big moment. Saturday will be big, because we will see two of the greatest tag teams ever go at it 2v2. “We never thought we’d see these two gentlemen back together, but they are back together in their home country, and we’re so excited! First of all, let’s introduce the Rated R Superstar, here is Adam Copeland!” London, Ontario fires up and sings along with Metalingus as #Cope makes his way out to the ring, all fired up and with a lot of smoke from the smoke machine. Cope joins Schiavone in the ring, and he lets the fans finish singing.
Then Schiavone introduces Cope’s partner, Christian Cage! Captain Charisma makes his entrance now, no lyrics to sing to here, but he joins Cope in the ring. The fans cheer as both lean on the ropes, and then Schiavone introduces Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, and their manager, Stokely, aka FTR. The fans boo as extra security accompanies the #TopGuysOut to the ring. FTR throw trash talk at the fans in return, then they step into the ring. Schiavone wants to say first, he’s called a lot of matches, been in the ring with a lot of people, but it’s something special to see these two great teams, two of the greatest teams, to face off in the hometown of “C&C” for the first time in 20 years.
Now, there is a No Physicality Agreement in effect here, with heavy fines and even suspensions as punishment. This is a volatile situation but those are the rules. So first to Cope- Stokely steals the mic first and says he wants to reiterate something for C&C. If they touch Dax, that’s $100,000. If they touch Cash, that’s $100,000. If they touch Stokely, they owe him $500,000, and the match will be cancelled! That means between Cope, his wife Beth and the two braincells she has left, and then Christian and his wife, her kids, their uncles, their aunties, their sixth grade teacher, they will see C&C do what they do best, and that is disappoint them as they won’t be competing.
So with all that said, Stoke things THE greatest tag team alive today, FTR, will get to say what they wanna say first. The fans boo but Stoke hands the mic to Cash. Cash tells Cope, “Sixteen years ago, Adam. 2009, sixteen years ago, I met you for the first time. Sixteen years ago, you were one of the biggest stars in the industry and I was a young nothing trying to get an opportunity. And what happens? You walk into the gym that I worked at, and we become friends. We don’t just become friends, but you become a mentor to me. You take me under your wing, you watch match matches, you give me advice, and you tell me, ‘I can get you opportunities. I can crack that door open for you.
“‘But when I do, you’ve gotta kick it down.'” The fans boo, but Cash says it is safe to say, ten years later, FTR are the absolute BEST tag team of all time! In those ten years, Cash has kicked the door down, then he and Dax became living legends! And in that time, FTR got Cope his career back! They brought Cope back to the ring. He comes to AEW and says he is here to help FTR. But then he makes it The Cope Show. Cope put the spotlight on himself and expected FTR to be the supporting cast while FTR did all the work! The fans boo, but Cash says six years ago, FTR helped Cope get his career back. Saturday, FTR takes it away for good!
The fans tell FTR to STFU but Dax says he won’t yell or scream over them. He will just say what he needs to say, and then they’ll leave. Dax can admit that there was a time where C&C were the best team in the world. But if we’re being honest, the only reason C&C were the best was because their competition were two mediocre teams who carried C&C to relevancy. FTR, on the other hand, has for 11 YEARS carried tag team wrestling on their backs! They’ve cemented themselves as THE generational tag team! A catalog of classic matches spanning over a decade, with teams like Big Bill & Enzo, Gable & Jordan, Gargano & Ciampa!
They’ve faced The Young Bucks, Bullet Club Gold, The Outrunners, and had a trilogy with The Briscoes! Ten World Tag Team Championships across seven different brands, and they are one-of-one. For C&C, this is the dream match. They NEED this to be a dream match! In another life, maybe it would’ve been just that. But this is the life that we are dealt. Saturday, do not make them end yours. Cope snatches the mic from Dax to tell Dax, “Shut the hell up!” The fans cheer that! Cope tells FTR to listen to him! But first, #BigStoke, you know all about disappointment! That’s why he gets no hoes! The fans cheer that, too!
And Cope suggests Stoke gets Beth’s name outta his mouth, cuz she will slap the lips off his stupid little head! Now, to FTR themselves. Dax & Cash broke their friendship up! Cash lived in Cope’s apartment, he opened his home to Cash because Cash was homeless. Cope opened the door for Cash to get hired, yes, and he never looked for anything in return. You know what Cope wanted to do? He wanted to come to AEW, he wanted to work with them, and they wanna say they were in his spotlight or something? Look in the damn mirror on that! The reason FTR were NOT in the spotlight is because the FANS didn’t want FTR, they wanted Cope!
The fans cheer more, and Cope says, “You wanna make some good points here, eh? Oh, you’re the best team in the last 11 years or whatever that is. And yes, you are now in the discussion of being one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Well, welcome to the club, we’ve been here for 25 years.” The fans cheer that! Cope says while FTR were busy getting bass in their voice, C&C were revolutionizing tag team wrestling! THEY made tag team wrestling important again! They created a match that then turned into a PPV! The fans cheer, and even chant for “T L C! T L C!”
Cope says now, Saturday, for the very first time, two of the greatest teams ever will face off in C&C’s hometown, in front of C&C’s people, and in their country! The fans cheer for Canada, and Cope says when they drag FTR into the deep water, raining fists down on their stupid little faces and FTR is begging for mercy, they will understand why there is only ONE Cope & Cage- Christian stops Cope there to say it is Cage & Cope. Cope sighs, but the fans already chant, “Cage & Cope!” Dax tells Cope to look them in the eyes, but Cope says he’ll look at whoever he wants, “you stupid little POS!” The fans cheer that!
Cope says FTR will understand why C&C are better than them! And Christian says, “London, Ontario… Let’s be honest. $100,000 is a lot of money. And $500,000, Stokely, with that kinda money, you might actually be able to get yourself some hoes. But London, at the risk of something like an A-hole, $100,000- Hell, $500,000 doesn’t mean a damn to me, because I’m rich!” And C&C fire the first shot! The fans fire up as security rushes in, but they just get hit, too! SHATTER MACHINE for one poor sucker, then a KILLSWITCH for another! And a SPEAR for the last guy! And then the brawl is back on!
FTR retreats, the fans cheer C&C, and looking at FTR’s nose, C&C has already drawn first blood! But will the $200,000 down the drain be worthy every penny if C&C can fulfill their revenge? Or will they fail to take the Top Guys out?
Backstage interview with The Young Bucks.
Renee Paquette says there are huge All Out implications as Matt & Nick Jackson will face The Bang Bang Gang’s Austin Gunn & Juice Robinson, the winners advancing to the Fatal 4 Way Ladder match. But also, momentum is on their side since they won the big money match last week! That’s huge! Nick says yes, they are back! Nice new suits, that’s some real rags to riches. Matt says it feels good. They also paid production a little something to make sure the entrance is special. How much did they give over, though? Matt says the bag’s a little light after losing about half at the casino. Nick says relax, there’s still plenty to go around.
Matt says Nick is right. And tonight marks the beginning of their redemption tour. They’ll beat Bang Bang Gang, go to All Out, win the Fatal 4 Way Ladder match, and become the first-ever FOUR-TIME AEW World Tag Team Champions! They’ve been a bit rude to Renee, so she can buy something pretty with this $10,000. What? Really? Thanks! And that’s not Canadian, it’s USD. Right, yeah… But either way, thanks and good luck! Renee double checks that it’s all there, but will The Bucks keep the money coming? Or will the Bang Bang Gang rob ’em blind?
AEW World Tag Team Championships Qualifier: Austin Gunn & Juice Robinson VS The Young Bucks!
Well, the entrance is special indeed, as it is basically back to what it was: The right music, the right graphics, the excessive pyro, it’s almost like they’re still EVPs. And then Nick shares money with fans who have signs in their favor! Matt wants Nick to slow his roll, they’re not that high of high rollers. Then #RockHardRobinson and #JustAustin make their entrance. The teams sort out, and it’s time to see who will go All Out!
The fans rally for Juice as he and Matt start. They tie up, and Matt headlocks. Juice powers up and out but Matt runs him over! Matt salutes, runs, but Juice stays low. Juice hurdles, hip tosses, but Matt slips through to body shot and step over. Matt flips up and over, dodges a lariat and then arm-drags Juice! Juice endures the armlock, but Matt brings him over to tag Nick. They double wrench, double CHOP, and double whip to then DOUBLE ELBOW! The Bucks pose, but Juice runs to DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up, Juice tags Austin, and Austin takes the handoff. Austin wrenches, but Nick ROCKS him with a right!
Nick whips Austin to a corner, Austin goes up and over, then Austin keeps moving. Austin ducks ‘n’ dodges, then he trips Nick! Austin wags his finger, then JABS, JABS, JABS! “GUNNS UP!” Austin DECKS Nick! Cover, TWO! Austin puffs up but Nick pokes him in the eye! Austin goes to a corner, Nick runs in, and Nick blocks boots. Nick puts Austin in the ropes, DRAPING NECKBREAKER! Tag to Matt while Nick holds Austin up, and Matt SLINGSHOT SENTONS onto Austin! Then he BLASTS Juice off the apron! Matt keeps moving to WRECK Juice with a dropkick! Matt skins the cat, Nick hits a GUTBUSTER, then they hit the NECKBREAKER BACKBREAKER COMBO!
The fans are torn as The Bucks cheer themselves on, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Matt paces around, then he pushes Austin to a cover, but Juice breaks it! Nick storms in and kicks Juice. The Bucks pick Juice up to RAM him into the corner, sitting him in the ropes. The Bucks CLUB Juice, then Nick puts Austin in the other corner. Matt runs up, The Bucks LARIAT ENZIGIRI combo! Then Matt tags Nick before the CATAPULT GAMANGIRI! Austin falls back, Nick goes up, DOUBLE STOMP BACKBREAKER! Then a roll and DRAPING BACKSTABBER on Juice! The Bucks soak up cheers and jeers, then Nick CLUBS Austin. Tag to Matt, he stays between Austin and his corner, then he stomps Austin down.

Big Bill speaks.
The Redwood says in Toronto, All Out, it is Big Bill VS Eddie Kingston. At least, that’s what he’s hearing, that’s what they’re saying, that’s what the graphics all say. But Bill will not believe it until Eddie shows up in person. And Bill doesn’t think that’ll happen. Bill wouldn’t blame Eddie if he didn’t wanna cross the border and enter a country that is “an absolute international embarrassment.” But it’s deeper than that, isn’t it? Eddie has been sitting at home, on the couch, for 16 MONTHS, watching Bill on the run of his life, in the best shape of his life, cracking the skulls of anybody and everybody that stands in his way!
And there are plenty of people running their mouths, saying Bill doesn’t belong in the same ring as Eddie. Well, if Eddie steps in the ring on Saturday, everyone will quickly realize that Eddie doesn’t belong int he same ring as Bill. So if, IF Eddie shows up, IF Eddie finally shows up, he’ll get exposed as exactly what Bill’s always known Eddie to be: a fraud. See you Saturday. Or will we? Bryan Keith adds, “FRAUD!” They head out, but will Bill be right? Or will the Mad King be full of surprises?
Bryan Danielson talks with Darby Allin.
The American Dragon is with The Relentless One, and notes that this Saturday is the huge Coffin Match with Jon Moxley. But before talking about that, Bryan does have one question: Why climb Mount Everest? Darby says honestly, it’s because he felt like he was living his life for somebody else. He thinks on the wrestling industry, and sees how so often it chews people up and spits them out. You can spend your whole career trying to make everyone happy, but you’re not making yourself happy, so Darby wanted to remind himself of what he was capable of. Darby knows that Bryan knows, there are a lot of snakes in the wrestling business. There are liars and politicians here.
But you can’t politic your way to the top of the world. There’s no helicopter that goes up that high just so you can hop out, take a picture and be like, “Oh, I reached the top of Mount Everest!” People die trying. And then Darby thought of how at the end of the day, all anyone has is their word. Darby told people that he was gonna summit Everest. And there were lots of times where Darby thought he was gonna die on the mountain. He saw the bodies. But he wasn’t gonna turn around, because he gave people his word that he would summit, that he would take the AEW flag and hang it up on top of the world!
But then Darby thinks of Jon’s word. Moxley said Bryan was like family, right? Bryan confirms, Moxley did say that. And then look what Moxley did to Bryan. All Darby could think about was when he was five years old, and his uncle telling him to get in the car with him. Darby didn’t know his uncle was driving drunk at the time. Uncle crashed the car, uncle died, Darby survived. But his uncle gave him his word. Darby would never turn his back on who he considered family. Take Sting for example. Darby never turned his back on Sting.
Bryan steers things back to Moxley. Does Darby feel ready for this match? Darby admits, he doesn’t know. But he wants Bryan to promise him right now, that no matter what happens out there, Bryan won’t get involved. What happened at WrestleDream last year, Darby holds himself accountable. To this day, he thinks about that. Bryan says that wasn’t Darby’s fault. Darby says Bryan can say that, but Bryan’s in-ring career is over because of that! Darby wants Bryan’s word that he will not interfere. No matter what, do not step foot in the ring. Bryan understands, his word means as much to him as Darby’s does to Darby.
So Bryan promises, he will not get involved. But Darby must promise something in return. Bryan whispers it to Darby, and Darby says Bryan has his word. They shake hands, but just what does The American Dragon hope Darby does for him on Saturday?
Mercedes Mone is here!
The fans are torn seeing The CEO strut her way out here, only showing off the AEW TBS Championship tonight, considering that is the belt on the line this Saturday against the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion. Will Riho be on a roll going into All Out? Or will this returning Renegade make sure to ruin all the fun?
Riho VS Robyn Renegade!
The bell rings and the fans rally for Riho. Riho and Robyn step up, then Robyn calls for a Test of Strength. But she of course taunts Riho on her shorter stature by holding her hands way up high. Then she switches up the hands, then she stomps Riho’s foot! Robyn headlocks, grinds the hold, but the fans boo. Riho powers up but can’t power out as Robyn holds tight. Riho powers up again to stomp Robyn’s foot! Riho stomps away on the feet, then she headlocks in return. The fans rally, but Mone talks smack on commentary that even the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion doesn’t hold a candle to the greatest TBS Champion of all time.
Riho thrashes the headlock, then she throws Robyn away. Robyn runs up, Riho dodges and tilt-o-whirls to RANA! Robyn tumbles, Riho runs, and Riho DROPKICKS Robyn through the ropes! Robyn flops to the floor, Mone coaches her up, but Riho goes up the corner! Riho waves hi to Mone, then aims at Robyn, SUPER CROSSBODY! Down goes Robyn and the fans fire up, and Mone says to back off! Riho points to the TBS title and signals it will be hers, but Mone says she’ll never have it! Never! The two argue while Collision goes picture in picture.
Riho goes back to the ring to then run up on Robyn and tilt-o-whirl! Robyn blocks that to hit a FACEBUSTER! Robyn rains down fists from all sides, then stops to soak up heat. Riho sputters, Robyn tosses her hair, then she brings Riho up to bump off buckles. Robyn DOUBLE CHOPS Riho, then winds up to CHOP again! Riho is stinging but Robyn says one more for Mone! Robyn puts some stank on the CHOP! Robyn blows a kiss to Mone, then brings Riho around. Robyn bumps Riho off buckles, then whips her corner to corner. Robyn runs in, Riho slips to the outside! HOTSHOT! Robyn staggers, Riho climbs, and Riho CROSSBODIES, only to be caught!
September to Remember returns to single picture, and Robyn RAMS Riho into the corner! Riho is in the Tree of Woe, and then Robyn pulls her up just to STOMP her down! The fans boo but Robin soaks up the heat. Robyn runs side to side and she BOOT WASHES Riho! Riho ends up on the apron but Robyn drags her in and covers, TWO! Robyn drags Riho up, waistlocks, but Riho fights with elbows! Riho reaches for ropes but Robyn brings her back! Riho wheelbarrows to victory roll, and STOMP 182! The fans fire up while Robyn sputters. Riho rises up, aims, but Robyn avoids the diving stomps! Riho returns, but Robyn fireman’s carries!
Riho slips free, but Robin ELBOWS her away! Robyn runs, but Riho catches her to a SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! The fans fire up as Riho then wrenches, hooks Robyn up, and CRUCIFIX DRIVER! Cover, Riho wins!
Winner: Riho, by pinfall
And the former champion stares Mone right down! The CEO says okay, Riho did well tonight. But then Robyn anchors Riho’s foot! Mone attacks! BACKSTABBER! The fans boo but Mone just holds the TBS title up over Riho. Will the Money Train run right through Toronto? Or will Riho be the one to derail it?
The Death Riders speak.
Claudio Castagnoli says, “Our issue with the AEW Trios Champions, The Opps, has not been settled yet.” Wheeler Yuta says Katsuyori Shibata, Samoa Joe and “Powerhouse” Hobbs are not as badass as they think! At All In, they left Joe laying! And Garcia tells “Shibata-senpai” that he never cared about Garcia, he never cared about AEW. But now Garcia is surrounded by people who do care, and AEW will be better without people like Shibata in it. How about Opps see them on Saturday and Garcia can solve the problem.
The Opps respond.
Samoa Joe says, “Well can you believe it? It seems that Daniel Garcia wants to be somebody. And of course, in order to be somebody, well, you gotta call out the people that scare everybody. Unfortunately for you, Daniel, you’re gonna find out in your quest to be somebody, you might just end up a body. We have heard you loud and clear, the challenge has been made. Rest assured, young Daniel, we accept.” Shibata tells Garcia off in Japanese, and now the Saturday Tailgate Brawl will be serving up some meat and potatoes! Will Garcia VS Shibata Round 3 be the Red Death of The Wrestler? Or will Shibata prove he and The Opps are #NeverLacking?
But wait, there’s more!
The Tailgate Brawl is adding all the MEAT fans could want, because Joe & Hobbs are still in action, taking on The Workhorsemen 2v2! Will Joe & Hobbs make appetizers out of JD Drake & Anthony Henry? Or will these blue collar brawlers earn themselves golden tickets to the AEW World Trios Championships?
AEW World Tag Team Championships Qualifier: Hechicero & Josh Alexander w/ Don Callis VS Top Flight w/ Christopher Daniels!
The Don Callis Family may be expanding, but they also want true domination by taking all the gold! Will the Alchemist & Walking Weapon earn that fourth and final spot in the ladder match? Or will Darius & Dante continue to have all the momentum in their win streak?
Don Callis grabs a mic to of course tell Justin Roberts, “Callate! That’s Mexican for shut up! Ladies and gentlemen, the Don Callis Family is proud to present the Pride of Toronto! He is the Walking Weapon, Josh Alexanderrr~!” Alexander makes his entrance, and then Callis continues, “And his partner, from the great country of Mexico, yo soy muy bueno y los cabelas manana del Iglesias… Yo soy He-chi-CEROOOOOOOOOOOO~!” Callis’ bad Spanish aside, Hechicero now makes his entrance, followed by Top Flight making theirs, Fallen Angel by their side. The teams sort out, and we start with Darius and Hechicero.
The fans tell off Callis again while Darius and Hechi circle. They tie up, Hechi waistlocks, then he spins Darius to trip him. Callis talks trash on commentary, saying his team’s advantage is having him as the manager, while Top Flight has Christopher Daniels. Darius BOOTS Hechi away, Hechi rebounds but then stops himself. Hechi wags a finger, rolls Darius through a jackknife to then flip him over. But Darius kips up, headlocks, only for Hechi to power up and out. Darius trips Hechi, covers, but Hechi hooks a leg with an ankle trap! Darius still rolls through to roll Hechi up, TWO! Hechi drop toeholds, then rolls Darius with another ankle trap to have the sunset, TWO!
Darius has a leg, he stands Hechi up to then reel Hechi in for a cradle! TWO, and the two stand off. The fans applaud and the two go again. Hechi KNEES low, JABS Darius, then wrenches an arm. Hechi wristlocks, he tags Alexander, and the fans actually cheer. But Darius wall kicks off Alexander, dodges Hechi, and Dante tags in! Hechi & Alexander miss that so they double kick Darius. They whip Darius, Darius goes up and over to bait them in, and Dante CROSSBODIES them both down! The fans fire up for that, and Dante runs up on Alexander. Alexander pops Dante up, but Dante lands safe on the second rope.
Alexander runs up, Dante dodges and Darius GAMANGIRIS! Dante ENZIGIRIS! Then Dante runs in, A-LIST LARIAT! Tag to Darius, but Alexander stops the snap suplex! Alexander suplexes, but Dante pushes Darius down, which helps for the snap suplex! Dante then slingshot SENTONS! Hechi runs up, Dante waistlocks, Hechi switches, but Darius helps Dante deny the lift. Dante elbows free, shoves Hechi to Darius, atomic drop! Then BULLDOG KNEE SMASH COMBO! Hechi bails out, Alexander whips Dante, but Darius pops Dante up and over! Then Dante helps Darius TORNADO DDT Alexander! Darius kips up and the fans fire up!
Daniels has Top Flight coordinate, and they both build speed. But then Hechi & Alexander duck the baseball slides! Alexander BOOTS Dante while Darius ROCKS Hechi! Darius then CHOPS Alexander! Darius runs up, Hechi puts him on the apron, but Darius kicks him away. But Alexander BODY CHECKS Darius from inside the ring! The fans fire up and Hechi HAMMERS Darius just because he can. The ref starts the count, Alexander puts Darius in the ring, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Alexander pushes Darius to a cover, TWO! Alexander is annoyed, but he drags Darius up to clamp on an armlock. Darius endures as Alexander grinds the shoulder. Darius fights up to fire body shots, but Alexander puts more pressure on the arm. Tag to Hechi and they mug Darius. Hechi drop toeholds Darius, then rolls to flip Darius over into the ARMBAR! Darius endures, so Hechi rolls him over and traps that arm. Hechi grabs the other arm for the DARK SACRIFICE! Darius writhes, Hechi stomps him, and then Hechi bumps Darius off buckles. Tag to Alexander, Alexander fires body shots and haymakers!
Darius sputters along ropes, Alexander CLUBS him, then UPPERCUTS! Alexander CHOPS Darius, then stalks him to the corner. The fans rally, Darius fires back, and he ROCKS Alexander! And CHOPS! But Alexander kicks low! Alexander scoops, Darius slips free, but Alexander bucks the O’Conner. Alexander then BLASTS Dante! He ELBOWS Darius, then to CLOBBER Darius! Alexander drags Darius over by a leg, tags Hechi, and Hechi KICKS the leg. Hechi drags Darius up, but Darius fires body shots. Darius UPPERCUTS, Hechi eggs him on, then he WRINGS the arm! Hechi hammerlocks Darius, rolls him around, then stands him up to SWING and BACKBREAKER!
Darius writhes, Hechi pushes him to a cover, TWO! Darius stays in this but Hechi stays on him with another armlock. Daniels and the fans rally but Hechi KNEES Darius in the side. Hechi traps the arm again, then SNAP LOCKS it! Darius writhes, Hechi drags him away from Dante, and pump handles him into a lift! FACEBUSTER! Hechi dazzles with his magic while September to Remember returns to single picture. Hechi rains down fists on Darius, then he tags Alexander. They double whip Darius but he KICKS Alexander away! Then he DUMPS Hechi out, and he goes up and over Alexander! Hot tag to Dante!
The fans fire up as Dante fires off forearms on Alexander! Alexander shoves Dante, but Dante springs up and over! JUMP KNEE! Dante ducks ‘n’ dodges to jump and RANA! Cover, Hechi breaks it! Callis is relieved, but Darius is on Hechi. Hechi whips Darius, Darius reverses, and repeat, to then SLINGBLADE into the SLEEPER! Darius HOTSHOTS free! The fans fire up, Darius sets up, and Dante hits POETRY IN FLIGHT!
Hechi falls, Darius aims, PLANCHA! Hechi is down again and the fans fire up! Dante tags Darius in, and Dante whips Alexander into a BOOT! Alexander ELBOWS Dante away, dodges the step-in attack to then GERMAN SUPLEX! Alexander holds on, GERMAN SUPLEXES Darius again, and still hold on! Darius reaches for Dante, waistlocks, and that’s too much for Alexander to lift! Darius then POPS Dante up and over! Dante HIP DROPS Alexander, Darius ELBOWS Alexander, and then Dante goes up again, SUPERKICK POISON-RANA COMBO!! Cover, TWO!! Alexander survives and the fans fire up!
Daniels coaches Darius to keep on it! Tag to Dante and Dante climbs up. Darius reels Alexander in, but Alexander fights the suplex! Alexander shoves Darius into Dante! Then he SAIDOS Darius away! Dante fires forearms on Hechi, then runs, but Alexander trips him up!
Dante kicks Alexander, but Hechi KNEES Dante! Hechi whips, Dante dodges, and Dante DIVES! Alexander hits the desk, Dante GAMANGIRIS Hechi! Dante goes up, but Hechi distracts the ref! That lets Alexander SHOVE Dante down! And then GUILLOTINE HEADSCISSORS! Cover, Don Callis Family wins!!
Winners: Hechicero & Josh Alexander, by pinfall (advance to All Out)
And with that, the match is set! Brody King & Bandido have the deck stacked against them, and Hechicero promises that this time, The Most Wanted will not get away! And then LANCE ARCHER CLOBBERS Darius! The fans boo as Hangman was right, the Callis Family is not playing nice! Rocky Romero is also here, so Daniels is surrounded 4v1! Scorpio Sky rushes out here, as does JetSpeed, so now things are even! The fans fire up for the brawl, but here come The Bucks! They mug JetSpeed, given they’ll now meet at All Out! The fans boo but here comes BRODIDO! The fans bark as the champs are here to again tip the scales!
Brody & Bandido clear the rings, then they high-ten! Brody gives Bandido the boost to ARIHARA MOONSAULT onto everyone!! And he lands on his feet! The fans are thunderous, but this brawl just keeps going! The four teams fighting for the tag titles head to the back, and then Archer BOOTS Daniels!! That’s not right, Daniels retired because of his neck injury! But the Murderhawk Monster has never been one for mercy, so he and Azucar put Daniels in the ring. The fans boo but Rocky CLUBS Daniels! He feeds Daniels to Archer’s grip, but here comes HANGMAN! The fans cheer as The Cowboy storms out to ringside!
Hangman dodges Archer, he DECKS Rocky, then he fires hands on Archer! But Rocky returns to whip, only for Hangman to TOSS him! But Archer has Hangman by the neck! Hangman breaks free to ROLLING ELBOW! And he LARIATS Archer up and out! The fans fire up, but HERE’S KYLE! Except Hangman sensed it, and he stares Kyle down. But Rocky anchors a leg! Kyle CLOBBERS Hangman after all! The fans boo as the trap succeeded! The fans boo as the Callis Family mugs Hangman, and then they bring out a TABLE! Callis is ecstatic as Kyle beats Hangman down and the others set the table up at ringside.
Kyle rolls up his sleeves and drags Hangman to the apron. Kyle says this was always meant for Hangman! BRAIN- NO, Hangman slips free! And he LARIATS Kyle! Then he DECKS Rocky, and BOOTS Archer! Slingshot, BELT SHOT! Kyle draws faster than Hangman!! And then he drags Hangman over to finish what he started! The fans boo and commentary freaks out as Kyle hits a BRAINBUSTER down through the table!!! The fans lose their minds while Kyle rises from the wreckage. Callis brings the belts together so Kyle can hold them both up. The fans boo as loud as they can, but will this be how All Out ends? Will there be a Two Belt Protostar in the near future?
My Thoughts:
A great special edition episode here, only moderately affected by Go-Home Syndrome. I skipped the video package hyping up Darby VS Moxley, and it ended up redundant when we got Bryan interviewing Darby later in the night. Good promo, though Darby continues to speed through his words. I didn’t think Bryan was going to get involved in the Coffin Match, but now Darby made him promise not to. Not sure what Bryan asked of Darby that he had to keep it secret, but I guess we’re learn during the match. And Darby bringing up Sting, that feels like a heavy-handed hint at Sting returning to help Darby since Moxley will have at least Yuta and Claudio.
Great match from Moxley VS Roddy, but of course the Death Riders all got involved. Not sure why commentary was being coy about Marina and Roddy being married, but their interaction was one I was hoping for this whole time. Good promo from the Death Riders to call out The Opps, but just having it be Garcia VS Shibata and then Joe & Hobbs not even fighting Yuta & Claudio but Workhorsemen instead is all odd. Maybe they build to a trios match for WrestleDream or something. Good promo from Big Bill to call out Eddie Kingston one last time, and to try and add some intrigue to whether Eddie is going to return. I would think Eddie does return and we get a great match.
Good promo from MJF with Tony Khan to, once again, work-shoot the idea that TK isn’t stern enough as a boss. Admittedly, haven’t had one of these since MJF and Adam Cole were a duo. But I’m not even sure why they’d write a bit where MJF wants out of the Tables ‘N’ Tacks match. Yes, MJF is hypocritical and all, but he should’ve instead doubled down and been motivated to throw Briscoe onto tacks and through a table. Or y’know, we just don’t get this promo at all because it did nothing. We got a much better promo from the two teams in the upcoming 8 Woman Tornado Tag, and that will be an awesome match.
Great “spotlight” promo from Toni Storm, especially with how Hayter and Kris each interrupted. It also made a great segue into Thekla VS Aminata, which was an awesome, show-stealing No Holds Barred match. It was definitely scary at times, but it would appear no one was injured. Great win for Thekla, great line from her saying she’ll end Toni’s time, and great brawl after. Thekla was sent on the run, Toni and Hayter were the ones “standing tall,” and then Kris had Yuta and Marina to deal with. Perhaps All Out is where Toni’s reign ends, and it feels like either Thekla or Kris taking the belt, which would be great stuff either way.
Riho VS Robyn was a good match, but of course Riho won. Mone gets the better of her because it feels like Mone’s TBS Championship reign might also be nearing an end. Mone’s already beat so many others, surely AEW is ready to move her on towards the top title or just anything else really since she has eight other belts to defend. Great stuff with Lashley VS Liona, especially MVP getting to absolutely humiliate Ricochet. However, with Hurt Syndicate standing tall, this would indicate Ricochet & GOA wins at All Out, and it’ll likely be through lots of cheating.
Hilarious stuff with The Bucks and their kayfabe fortune, and I feel like Nick is going to burn through the cash. Awesome stuff in all the different qualifier matches tonight, and I figured The Bucks would win. Great stuff with Luchasaurus ditching Kip, this was bound to happen so might as well do it now. JetSpeed winning because if it is fine, and that gives this ladder match the high-fliers. And of course, the Don Callis Family was all over the rest of tonight. Great opening promo from Hangman and Kyle, and I like the special clause of Callis Family interference results in real consequences for Kyle.
But at the same time, of course Kyle lures Hangman into a trap with the Callis Family beating up on Top Flight and Daniels. However, this makes the math line up with what I figured, i.e. Kyle not winning. Kyle is great, but he’s already a champion, he’s got a bright future ahead of him, he doesn’t need to rush to the world title. Plus, there’s still the return of Kenny Omega and his feud with Kyle to follow. Dorada VS Mortos was awesome, too, and great win for Dorada. Okada and Konosuke having their stare down interrupted by Dorada was great, because it addresses what I’ve been saying: the third man is basically there to lose, but Dorada won’t let that be him. Though, it absolutely will be, sorry.
My Score: 9.1/10

The Death Riders speak.
It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.
The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?
The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. Will Ospreay speaks.
It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.
“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?
“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.
Lexy Nair congratulates them on their win tonight, and brings up that Moxley has accepted Kyle’s challenge. Kyle says yes, Moxley is right, Kyle has his number. But facing Moxley has been the biggest test of Kyle’s career, so what’s one more test? This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Cassidy says Willow needs to say something.
Willow says sure, okay. Great job, guys, really. But for her, Double or Nothing, it will be TRIPLE or nothing, because she has THIS bad boy, the TBS Championship! But she’s also coming for The Owen, and the World Championship! As for tonight, Red Velvet may have beaten Willow to qualify for The Owen, but that won’t happen tonight. Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.
Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”
Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?
Backstage interview with Darby Allin.
Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Or is this one Collision Darby will not walk away from?

Sounds like to me Wednesday night, the only right thing to do is to make this ANYTHING GOES! NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!” The fans like the sound of that!
The Psycho Killer may have just stepped into it! Will there be nothing stopping Briscoe from doing anything he wants to Ciampa?

He is your hero! And to be honest, for everything that he does, he deserves a standing ovation! Joe certainly applauds, and the fans here in Salisbury join in!
Bowens says if you’re asking what this change of attitude is about… This man, Samoa Joe, has been teaching Bowens all he needs to know: choices have consequences; and if you don’t like the way the table is set, you flip that table over and you choose violence! The fans cheer, and now Joe speaks on the mic. “Oh, Ospreaaaay~…! Do you understand what I do for my friends? But unfortunately, decisions have consequences, and you chose a different road, Will. So allow me to say this: I am truly beyond honored that you consider facing me a dream match.” The fans cheer that, but Joe says it’s just unfortunate that when he gets Ospreay in the ring, “it’ll be nothing but a nightmare.”
Joe & Bowens have made it clear that no matter who, no matter where, and no matter what, The Opps will not show mercy. Will nothing stop The Opps from taking it all here in AEW?
Backstage interview with #Brodido.
Lexy Nair is with Brody King & Bandido, and wants to talk the Owen Hart Tournament. Brody is set to face Claudio while Bandido is up against Swerve Strickland. Now, if they both win their matches, that pits them against teach other in the semifinals. But what they also needs to talk about is last night, Supercard of Honor, Bandido retained the title, only for Swerve to attack. Brody tells Swerve that he warned him about what would happen if Swerve messed with the people Brody cared about! Next time Brody sees Swerve, he’ll- Bandido stops Brody there, and says no, no, hermano. Bandido loves you, but this is Bandido’s battle, and Brody needs to respect that.
So Bandido tells Swerve that this is a battle Swerve will not win! Swerve may be the Most Dangerous, but Bandido is the Most Wanted! And after Double or Nothing when Bandido beats Swerve, Swerve won’t be a danger to anyone anymore! Both sides of Brodido have spoken, but will either of them knock down Swerve’s House? Or will Swerve’s thirst for power be satiated with the Owen Hart Cup?

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross established just how dominant they are in the first 5 Minute Challenge last week, yet it seems two more poor souls want to test their might. Will Allie & Kaia at least last longer than the previous team? Or will The Megasus & Aussie Amazon score the fatality?

AEW hears from the four fighting for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Kris Statlander says, “At Double or Nothing, I face three women, one who I hate, one who I respect, and one who I’m still not sure about.” The hated one, Thekla, says there’s only one way this ends when she’s up against dumb b*tch after dumb b*tch after dumb b*tch. The respected one, Jamie Hayter, says she had the title stripped away from her and it’s eluded her ever since. And the uncertainty, Hikaru Shida, says even though it is every one for themselves, she knows she and Kris will be on the same page, just like always! Kris says y’know who really has her back? Kris herself! That’s all she needs! Jamie warns Thekla that she’s gonna find out, unfinished business is her favorite kind!
Thekla says Double or Nothing, the Toxic Spider destroys New York! A Fatal 4 Way of epic proportions await, will there be nothing left after the dust clears?
Backstage interview with Athena and Mina Shirakawa.
Lexy Nair is with the ROH Women’s World Champion and the Fighting Gravure Idol, and thanks them for accepting the No Physicality Agreement. They are on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Tournament, this has gotta be a tough one. Athena says maybe, maybe not, but the facts are this: Athena has been the ROH Women’s World Champion for over 1252 DAYS, and has left of dozens of bodies in her wake. Pretty sure Mina’s one of them. Mina says last year at All In, Athena broke Mina’s hand. Athena says so what! Last year at Death Before Dishonor, she kicked Mina’s ass all over the arena! Why does Mina think this match will be any different?
Mina laughs and says last night at Supercard, when she locked in the Figure Four on her opponent, she dreamt it was Athena. Athena says Mina is dreaming of her! So flattered! But she hopes Mina has the best dream tonight: Mina’s dead body in a ditch, next to her precious Toni Storm! Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. They argue, but Lexy keeps them from getting physical! Will the Fallen Goddess be unstoppable even in AEW? Or will The Owen will be about #MinaNow?
Backstage interview with Lio Rush.
Nigel McGuinness tracked down The Problem Child, and walks over. Lio says hey, Nigel! Good to see you! He saw Nigel put in that work last night, he did great. He did really good. Nigel appreciates that, that’s what he wants to talk about. Specifically, what happened between Lio and his former tag team partner, Action Andretti. Action cost Lio the ROH World TV Championship, what is Lio’s response? Lio says it’s all fine! It’s fine! These things happen, Nigel. Losses happen, friends get upset. It’s fine. It’s fine. Lio keeps saying that, and Nigel says that is the official response. Lio again says it’s good to see Nigel.
But then Lio takes off his sunglasses to show off those creepy eyes. He smiles, and that black goo drools out… Lio continues to say it’s fine, but is it anything but fine? Or should Action learn to sleep with one eye open?
Six Man Tag: Mark Davis & The Dogs VS The Rascalz!
Before they team up for Stadium Stampede, the AEW National Champion teams with David Finlay & Clark Connors to test their chemistry. Will Dunkzilla, The Rebel & 100 Proof sink their teeth into Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed? Or will The Rascalz light ’em up and smoke ’em in Salisbury?

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?
Ricochet & The Demand respond.
They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?
AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!
Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.
Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.
But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?
Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!
With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?
The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!
The fans fire up again and Thekla is feeling it while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!
Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!
Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.
Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!
Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!
Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!
Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification
The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!
The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.
Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!
The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
My Score: 9/10
