Full Gear Casino Gauntlet #1 Spot: Bobby Lashley VS Ricochet!

With the AEW National Championship on the line at Full Gear, everyone wants to be the very first! And to do that, it helps if you’re the very first in the gauntlet! Will the All Mighty look to improve his odds? Or will The One & Only make sure he IS the one?

The bell rings and the fans rally up already. But then Ricochet insists on talking and the fans boo. “Now before this match starts, there’s a couple things I wanna say. The first thing that I wanna say is Fly, Eagles, Fly~ on the road to victory, baby! WOO! I know y’all don’t remember what it’s like to win a Super Bowl, it’s been quite some time, but we ridin’ high right now, we feelin’ real good. And don’t worry, I don’t wanna be in this state any longer than I have to, I hate this state. Actually, the only good thing to come out of this state is my beautiful wife. Hey, baby!” Ricochet waves to Samantha through the camera, then puts the mic aside.

The fans tell Ricochet to STFU but then Ricochet says he has more to say! A couple weeks ago, he talked with Tony Khan and he is surprised Ariel Halwani didn’t ask Tony about MVP! Because MVP is getting really old, maybe even getting dementia, calling this the new International Championship. But no, it is THE National Championship, and you’re looking at the inaugural champ! The fans again tell Ricochet to shut up but he just keeps going. This Saturday, AFTER he walks out the champ, each and every one of these morons will give him the respect he deserves! Big bald idiot Lashley will give him respect! Without Ricochet, AEW wouldn’t be a company!

And now, Ricochet is riding high. He’s got his homies, Liona & Kaun! He fist bumps The Gates of Agony, and Ricochet says no one will stop him from fulfilling his quest for gold! Lashley seethes as Ricochet claims he will run through each and every one of the favorites to win and become THE champion! And there is not a thing this idiot kid here can do about it, or that old lady can do about it, or- Lashley grabs Ricochet! Ricochet pleads for mercy as Lashley THROWS Ricochet out onto the Gates! The fans are all fired up for that! Lashley goes outside, and he runs in around the way to POUNCE Ricochet into barriers!

Then Lashley CLOBBERS Kaun! And he CLOBBERS Liona into the timekeeper’s area! The fans are thunderous for Lashley, Ricochet rolls into the ring, and Lashley hurries back in! Lashley runs up, Ricochet dodges, Lashley hits buckles! Ricochet rolls Lashley and has feet on the ropes! TWO!! Lashley is up, but Ricochet JUMP KNEES! Lashley stays up, Ricochet SUPERKICKS! Then DREAMCAST KICKS! Lashley is down, Ricochet STANDING SHOOTING STARS, then somersaults to MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Ricochet is shocked, but he hurries to a corner! Ricochet climbs up, up, and SHOOTING STAR- NO, he has to roll through as Lashley moves!

Lashley runs up, but Ricochet uses the ref as a shield! The fans boo, Lashley apologies and puts the ref aside. But Ricochet CLAWAS Lashley’s eyes! Ricochet KICKS a leg, runs up, SPIRIT- NO! Lashley stops Ricochet in his tracks for the MILE HIGH SPINEBUSTER! The fans fire up and Lashley builds speed, to SPEAR!! Cover, Lashley wins!

Winner: Bobby Lashley, by pinfall (Enters the Casino Gauntlet at Number One)

Ricochet ran his mouth but that’s all he did because Lashley just put the hurt on him! And now that Lashley is guaranteed his spot in the gauntlet, will he be the favorite to win the title?

The Opps speak.

Samoa Joe says, “Y’know, it must feel good, right? World champion! A fighting world champion, no less, tearing through the competition with reckless abandon. And judging from the edict I got when walking through this door, that if I interfere in this match tonight, I would forfeit my championship opportunity, it seems a champion with the company behind him, also. But you know what my only solace is, Hangman? Allow me to explain what it is. It is that your whole world, this world of joy and happiness, is about to get very, very different very, very quickly! Because you see, my friend, you are guilty of crimes and transgressions against The Opps.

“And your punishment begins tonight. And it stands in the form of this man right here: Katsuyori Shibata. Deadly by design, violent through intention, and firmly dedicated to exacting justice for what you did to our brother, Will Hobbs. See, Hangman, Shibata begins your payment. And come Full Gear, I will collect in full. Tell ’em, Shibata.” The Wrestler says in Japanese that he’s gonna beat the piss outta Hangman! Will everything that happens tonight be in the universal language of violence and pain? Will Hangman have a response that The Opps will not like?

The Young Bucks look back on highlights of Full Gear.

Highlights all having to do with themselves, of course, but it is clear they’ve always had a great time in November. Renee Paquette walks over to interview them. She knows emotions are running high, and they’ve got that ONE MILLION DOLLAR Six Man Tag to think about. But the question is: Are they joining The Don Callis Family? Don Calils himself walks in and says we do NOT need any of that “gotcha journalism” here tonight. Why just leave the boys alone? They’ve got a big match! Better yet, they’ll go out there tonight and show everybody why they’re the greatest tag team in the history of the planet, and then give “these rubes” an answer right after.

Callis says he’ll even do that ring entrance for them! They love it, right? Right! This is fantastic! The Bucks indeed head out, and Callis grabs the mic from Renee! “Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you today, the multiple-time tag team champions, the greatest tag team of the last thousand years, from Rancho Cucamonga, they are Nicholas and Matthew, the YOUUUUNG BUUUUCKS~!” The Bucks get their pyro, all bought and paid for by Callis himself. But will The Bucks and Walking Weapon be razor sharp ahead of Full Gear? Or could it all fall apart in Boston?

Six Man Tag: Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks VS Team Sky Flight!

The teams sort out and Nick starts against Dante Martin. The fans rally as the two tie up, Nick headlocks, but Dante powers up and out. Nick RUNS Dante over, then gets moving. Top Flight coaches Scorpio while the fans rally up, and Scorpio fights to his feet. Scorpio throws hands but Alexander drop toeholds! Tag to Matt and he casually drops the leg, brother! Cover, TWO! Matt bumps Scorpio off buckles, brings him around, and tags Nick. Matt scoops for the BACKBREAKER, Nick slingshots to LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Nick runs up and SHINING WIZARDS! Then he snapmares Scorpio, runs, and SHINING WIZARDS again! Cover, TWO! Nick wants a better count but he clamps onto Scorpio to keep him down. The fans and Team Sky Flight rally and Scorpio fights to his feet. Scorpio fires hands again, but Nick WHEEL KICKS him down! Nick tags Alexander and Alexander drags Scorpio back up. Scoop and BACKBREAKER! Scorpio writhes, Alexander KNEES him in the back, then stomps him down. Alexander tags Matt, Matt tags Nick, and The Bucks double whip Scorpio. They DOUBLE ELBOW Scorpio down then kip up.

Dynamite returns to single picture as the fans are torn. The Bucks call for a Superkick Party, but Alexander tags in? The fans boo that, but Alexander says he wants to party. But then Scorpio fires hands on Matt and Alexander! The fans fire up as Scorpio then ducks a shot and Matt hits Alexander! Alexander snarls, but he still BOOTS Scorpio! The Bucks then DOUBLE SUPERKICK Darius! And DOUBLE SUPERKICK Dante outta the sky! The fans are torn as the Bucks have Dante’s arms! B T E TR- NO! Dante FLIPS through and then YANKS The Bucks into each other! Dante gets moving, he flips up and over Matt, then he FLIES! Down go The Bucks at the ramp! Boston fires up again as Dante hurries up, up, and springboards to CROSBODY on Alexander! Cover, TWO!

Alexander survives and Team Sky Flight can’t believe it! The fans rally for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” as Dante runs again. Sunset flip, but Alexander rolls through and steps over! ANKLE LOCK! Alexander hands him off to Matt, and then Nick springboards, MELTZER DRIVER!! But Alexander won’t cover, he clamps on the ANKLE LOCK!! The Bucks play defense, Dante TAPS! Alexander & Bucks win!

Winners: Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks, by submission

Don Callis says now to make some history! The Jackal goes right to the ring to stand with Alexander & The Bucks. Callis has a mic in hand, and he calls for the rest of the Family to join them. We get Rocky Romero, Hechicero and Mark Davis, and Callis says, “I have something important to say!” The fans boo already but Callis says, “What a great victory for the Young Bucks & Josh Alexander! And now, the world is watching, the world is waiting for Matt & Nick, for you two, to make the official announcement that you are joining The Don Callis Family!” The fans boo that, but Callis holds the mic out to The Bucks.

The Bucks don’t say anything, and the fans tell them “NO! NO! NO!” Callis says it’s okay, don’t listen to the fans. Callis knows this is a big moment for them, they’re just nervous! But may he remind them that since they’ve been associated, the money’s been flowing! They have their great entrance again! They have limousine rides again! They get big matches again! It is in their best interest to join The Family! So now, announce it for the people! The fans boo again, The Bucks are hesitant again, and Callis laughs it off. Okay, he just wants to remind them that AEW can be a very dangerous place. The two of them walking around here without a family, bad stuff can happen.

Callis would just hate to see happen to them what happened to Kenny Omega. The Bucks look at Callis and ask if that’s some kind of threat. Callis wants them to calm down, but then speaking of the man, here comes KENNY OMEGA! The fans cheer as The Cleaner is here, chair in hand! The Callis Family rushes Kenny, but he JAMS up Rocky, JAMS up Davis, then CHUCKS the chair into Davis’ face! Omega rushes the ring to brawl with Alexander! Hechi guards Callis, The Bucks watch this, what side are they gonna take? They pull Omega off Alexander?! They try and talk with Omega, but Alexander CHOP BLOCKS Omega!

The fans boo as now Omega is in the ANKLE LOCK! Omega flails and reaches out but Alexander puts on the pressure! Callis has Alexander let Omega go, because he has a better idea! This is the announcement they’ve been waiting for, so The Bucks don’t even have to say they’re joining! Just grab Omega and give ’em the BTE Trigger! The fans boo, but Callis stomps Omega while he’s down! The Bucks flank Omega, the fans chant “NO! NO! NO!” but Callis says do it! Do the knee! The Bucks each take an arm, but JURASSIC EXPRESS is here! Jack Perry & Luchasaurus rush out here, armed with shovels and a vacuum!

The Don Callis Family runs away, The Bucks following, but only because they might get hit, too. The Bucks didn’t follow through on the announcement or the execution, but will actions speak louder than words when a million dollars is on the line?

Backstage interview with Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale.

Renee Paquette is now with The Babes of Wrath and says they are in the semifinals of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament, but going up against “The Sisters of Sin,” Julia Hart & Skye Blue. Harley & Willow had quite the fight with them at Blood & Guts. Willow says yeah, Skye and Willow started that match, and Willow made Skye bleed! But Skye was still smiling? Isn’t that Willow’s thing? Maybe Willow didn’t hit Skye hard enough, make her bleed enough. But at the end of their tag match, Willow & Harley will be the only ones smiling. Harley agrees! Because they are fun, excitable and bodacious.

For that reason, some people don’t take them seriously. Like Athena & Mercedes Mone! But how’d that turn out? Because yes, these two love what they do, but what they do do is fight the best, claw, scratch, and POUNCE! They will be the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions! What are they? Babes! What do they have? Wrath! They chest bump and head out, but will they head all the way to the title match?

AEW mourns the loss of wrestling commentary icon, Bob Caudle, 1930 – 2025.

Full Gear Casino Gauntlet #2 Spot: Shelton Benjamin VS Mike Bailey!

Shelton staggers, Bailey brings him in, DDT on the floor! The ref checks, Shelton is still in this, and the count begins. Bailey rolls in quick and Shelton sputters. The count reaches 5 of 10 but Shelton is still down!

Cover, TWO!! Shelton survives and the fans fire up! MVP says the flying is impressive, but it’s not good enough. Bailey PENALTY KICKS Shelton, but Shelton snarls as he sits back up! So Bailey PENALTY KICKS again! And then MOONSAULT KNEE-DROP! Cover, TWO! But into the ARMBAR! Shelton flails, reaches out, and he fights around again. And just like Blood & Guts, the history books will say YOU TAPPED OUT!!” The fans love the sound of that! Moxley is furious, but will he finally redeem himself against Kyle O’Reilly? Or will it be another masterpiece for the Violent Artist at Full Gear?

#Brodido speaks.

Brody King tells FTR that though they’ve attacked legends, family, he and Bandido won’t take anything from them. FTR has proven they are one of the greatest tag teams in history, and they are one of the best in AEW. But what they haven’t proven is that they can beat Brodido. This Saturday, Full Gear, FTR goes home emptyhanded, because Brody & Bandido will still be the AEW Tag Team Champions. Bandido says, “Because remember! Brodido never stops fighting! Let’s go, hermano!” They secret handshake and finger gun. Will the King of Death & The Outlaw take the #TopGuysOut once and for all?

Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express speak.

The Cleaner has regrouped with Jack Perry & Luchasaurus backstage, and Omega says, “Y’know, they say you can’t buy family. And Don, when you bought the first available talent that came to mind as soon as I was inconvenient, you proved that wrong. They say that money can’t buy friendship, but Bucks, you’ve certainly proved me wrong, too, haven’t you? Josh Alexander, the second you broke Ibushi’s leg and were proud of it, the second you took your frustrations out on Nakazawa, that’s when things became personal. So this Saturday at Full Gear, one million dollars, two million dollars, ten million dollars…

“NO amount of money is gonna save you from what we are gonna do to not only you, but to you, too, Don. So on Saturday, get a good night’s rest, count the money, count them dollar bills, because your time is coming. And until then, yeah, the three of us must bid you adieu. So until Full Gear, goodbye, MWAH! And good… night… BANG!” Omega leads the way out, but will these three be victorious? Or will The Bucks truly sell out?

BREAKING NEWS for Full Gear!

Renee Paquette relays word from Tony Khan: The four semifinalist teams in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament will meet in a Fatal 4 Way Tag match, and the winner of that match gets to add a stipulation of their choice onto their semifinal match! Who gets to raise the stakes as we continue on towards history?

Backstage interview with Mark Briscoe, Kyle Fletcher, and Don Callis.

Alicia Atout is with the Sussex County Chicken, The Protostar, and The Jackal, and thanks them for taking this time, and also accepting the No Physicality Agreement. Now, tensions are incredibly high with Full Gear right around the corner. But can they please explain why they agreed to such high stakes stipulations? Kyle says he agreed to No Disqualifications because he is supremely confident! He and Briscoe have wrestled five times now, and he has three of the wins. This Saturday, it’ll be four! Not only that, but when he wins, he will break the record for the most defenses in a single reign as TNT Champion!

But that’s not the only reason Kyle is happy to agree to this match. It is also because there will be a clear winner and a clear loser, no more excuses! Briscoe will thank them when he joins the Don Callis Family, and there will be no kicking and screaming about it. Kyle is very excited because he can’t wait to see how Briscoe thrives under a real family! Briscoe says, “Do NOT talk to me about family, son! Every time I step in the ring, I represent my family! Every time I step in the ring, I fight to feed my family! Hell, I fight alongside my family, my road family, The Conglomeration. Just last week in Blood & Guts, we went to war together! We bled together!

“So I have no intentions of leaving that behind. So when I agreed to the stipualtions for this match, I knew that failure is not an option. Saturday night, Full Gear, New Jersey, TNT title on the line, no disqualifications, I will NOT be leaving my family, I will NOT be letting my family down. Matter of fact, I’m gonna be making my family proud! And when I walk through that door-” OKADA & HECHICERO ATTACK! They beat down Briscoe right at the feat of Kyle, and then sit him up so Callis can tell him, “You’re gonna make your family proud? I’m gonna make your kids into orphans.”

Okada & Hechicero shove Briscoe down, and Kyle says, “Thank you for not agreeing to no physicality.” Okada says he’s glad he could help since he knows Takeshita couldn’t. The Rainmaker smiles as he says, “Protokada~!” Okada heads out, Hechi right behind him. Kyle looks unsure if he’s really looking forward to that, but will it not matter once he’s made it through the weekend as champion?

PAC speaks.

“Darby, Darby, Darby Allin… I have been doing a lot of soul-searching this week, and I believe I owe you a sincere apology. You see, leading up to Blood & Guts, I promised I would break your neck. In reality, that didn’t happen. I sent your charred corpse to the burn unit instead. Or maybe I did both? Fact of the matter is, nobody has seen or heard from you since, so who’s to say? And I get it, Darby. You’re probably intimidated. You’re certainly scared. At Blood & Guts, maybe I did take things a little too far. So Darby, the boy who never quits, if you still have that backbone, do me a favor and answer my question.

“And don’t worry, I am challenging you to legitimate competition. No nonsense. No weapons, no cattle prods, no tasers, no fire, just me and you. Because the truth is, when you are stripped of all your bells and whistles, there is no way on Planet Earth that someone like yourself can compete at the level of a legitimate athlete like me.” The Bastard has spoken, but can he be trusted? Can Darby still win a fight after being beaten and burned like he was?

Samoa Joe heads to ringside!

The Samoan Submission Specialist, the leader of The Opps, and the #1 contender to the AEW World Championship, is joining commentary so he can watch both this upcoming match, and the “slippery little piggy” that is Tony Schiavone. The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Hangman flops out of the corner.

Shibata stomps a mudhole, argues with the ref, and Shibata even sneaks some mule kicks on Hangman at the same time! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Shibata “apologizes” and runs corner to corner. Shibata comes back, but Hangman skins the cat to avoid the dropkick! As Dynamite gives way to Collision…

Hangman stands over Shibata and he glares at Joe. Hangman grabs a mic so he can say, “Joe, I want you to look around you. Look around you! Although you may be surrounded by thousands of crazy ass fans tonight, and though you may be at the commentary desk with the rest of commentary, all but a poncho on your head, Joe… You, Joe, you are now alone. And when you walk into a steel cage with me at Full Gear, I want you to remember this. I want you to remember that you don’t have Will Hobbs, because I sent him to a hospital. I want you to remember that you don’t have Shibata, because I just sent him to a d*ck surgeon.

“Most importantly, Joe, I want you going into Full Gear to remember what I did the last time I was locked inside of a steel cage with another man. Because if I have to do it Saturday, I swear to God I will do it again.” The fans cheer that! The Cowboy is ready to go in guns blazing, but will he be number one with a bullet? Or will he go down in a blaze of glory?

FTR speaks.

Stokely Hathaway is with Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood as he says, “Eleven years ago, FTR was formed. And nine years ago, they had a classic that was talked about for days, for weeks, for months! So Brodido, I have a question for you: Do you think anything that you’ve done will be remembered in nine years? I don’t think so!” Cash says, “So, Brody, Bandido, I want you guys to relax tonight. I want you guys to enjoy tonight. There’s no games, we’re not gonna lock you in any rooms. Your grand-mami is safe, Dick ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat is safe, you guys enjoy tonight. Because Saturday at Full Gear, we are gonna take those belts from you.

“You might be the feel-good story of the year, but on Saturday, we close the book.” Dax adds, “Nine years ago, we did have a classic tag team match. But since then, we’ve had six, seven, eighty other matches, considered the greatest tag match of all time. We’ve also been TEN-TIME world tag team champions across seven different promotions. So why is Saturday night so important, huh? Why is Full Gear so important? This reign, this match, is what we hang our hat on. This is what we live our legacy by. This is what we build our foundation of one era of tag team wrestling, and professional wrestling. Unfortunately, Brodido, you’re the ones in the way.

“Saturday, Full Gear, three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions. And we will go down as the absolute best tag team of all time. Bandido, have your abuela come say hello. Top Guys, out.” FTR has said their piece, but will they have what they want after Full Gear? Or will their legacy end up a cornerstone for Brodido’s own?

Winner: Kazuchika Okada, by pinfall (earns a CMLL World Trios Championship opportunity)

Don Callis immediately gets the mic to say, “Ladies and gentlemeeeeeeeeen~! What a great win for the Don Callis Family by Okada! And based on this win, the Don Callis Family will challenge Sky Team for the CMLL Trios Championships! And we will do it this Saturday at the Tailgate Brawl, baby! And it gets better, because this will be a literal all-star team of the Don Callis Family! Starting with The Rainmakeeer, as well as HE-CHI-CEROOOOOOO~! And… Last but not least, I’ve just been informed, making his triumphant return from the country of Japan, the IWGP Heavyweight Champion, the Alpha, Konosukeee Takeshitaaaaa~!”

Callis vows that Okada, Hechi & Takeshita WILL win this Saturday at Tailgate Brawl, and take it to the bank! Okada has mixed feelings about this, but can he and Takeshita put their feelings aside long enough to take those titles off Dorada, Neon y Mistico?

Backstage interview with Skye Blue & Julia Hart.

Renee is now with the Sisters of Sin and brings up how they meet The Babes of Wrath in the tag tournament semifinals, but must first be part of the Full Gear Fatal 4 Way. Skye says, “Your first sin was wrath, but that’s obvious.” Julia says, “Violent anger for one’s revenge.” Skye says, “Your second sin is pride.” Julia says, “Excessive love for one’s excellence.” Skye says she smiled in blood because nothing you can do will work. And Julia says their painless path will lead them to gold. The third sin is them.

Thekla steps in and says, “And if you think Blood & Guts was bad… Wait until you see what sick, twisted sh*t we’re gonna come up with when they win at Full Gear! You don’t know how toxic we can get!” The Triangle of Madness is ready for anything, but will they drag everyone else down into the darkness with them?

Kris Statlander is here!

The Galaxy’s Greatest just talked about her singular focus on The CEO, and she’s proving it by being live and in person to watch this main event. Will Mone be able to focus on her growing collection when the prize she really wants will be ringside? Or is the Money Train about to be derailed with an L?

Undisputed ROH Women’s World Television Championship: Red Velvet VS Mercedes Mone!

Collision returns as Boston’s own makes her entrance, accompanied by many muscular men to carry the ten other belts she can’t wear on her person. The Chef then follows, finally making her return to action after being out with injury. Tensions are high already, but the ref gets them to back down. The introductions are made by ROH’s Bobby Cruise, both titles are raised, and we see who stirs it up!

The bell rings, no Code of Honor between these two. They tie up, Mone rolls Velvet up, TONE! Mone tries again, ONE! Mone says that’s right! But Velvet shoves her! Mone shoves back, Velvet runs up but Mone dodges. Velvet wheelbarrows to victory roll, TWO! Mone scrambles up, Velvet tries again, but Mone denies the wheelbarrow to whip. Velvet ducks ‘n’ dodges, comes right back, clinches, and arm-drags! Mone runs up, she arm-drags! They DOUBLE DORPKICK and then kip up! The fans cheer, Velvet pie faces Mone, but Mone says okay. They reset and tie up, then Velvet wrenches to wristlock.

Mone THROWS Velvet down by her hair, then does her CEO dance! The fans are torn, things speed up, but Velvet drops down to CALF KICK! The fans are torn as Velvet stirs it up, then she storms up on Mone. Velvet fires body shots, then she stomps Mone down! Velvet does the splits as she digs her boot in, and she stops as the ref counts 4. Mone is on the ropes, Velvet runs up, but Mone dodges! Velvet tumbles onto the apron and Mone WRECKS her with a dropkick! The fans cheer on “C E O! C E O!” Mone goes to the apron and she METEORAS Velvet to the floor! The fans cheer, Mone swaggers past Kris, and she holds up both ROH titles to rub it in.

Kris says yes, she can show those off all she wants, but Mone won’t get the AEW Women’s World title. Velvet then UP KCIKS Mone! Velvet fires off forearms, Mone tackles Velvet, the scrap in on! Mone THROWS Velvet into Kris! The fans are torn, Kris is pissed, but Mone puts Velvet in the ring. Kris storms up to the apron, Mone shouts for the ref, and the ref stops Kris. But then Velvet picks up one of those ROH belts, throws it to Mone, and plays possum! She’s pulling an Eddie! The fans are torn, but Mone has to defend her innocence to the ref! But then Velvet rolls Mone up! TWO! ROUNDHOUSE! Mone falls over, Velvet covers, TWO!!

The fans rally as Mone survives, but Velvet seethes as Collision goes picture in picture.

Velvet drags Mone up, bumps her off buckles, and then climbs up to rain down fists! Velvet gets to seven before Mone slips out and SUPERKICKS the legs out! Velvet ends up in the Tree of Woe, and Mone STOMPS her down! Mone drags Velvet o a cover, TWO! Velvet stays in this and now Mone seethes. Mone paces, Velvet throws a body shot from below, but Mone drags Velvet up to hit a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Velvet stays in this and goes to the ropes. Mone CHOKES Velvet, then steps out to the apron in one go. Mone KNEES Velvet, bumps her off buckles, then steps back in for a roll-up. TWO and now Mone is frustrated.

Mone stands Velvet up but Velvet fires body shots! Velvet whips, Mone reverses, and Mone TOSSES Velvet out to the floor! Mone flips Kris off and smiles, but Kris just gives it back. The ring count climbs as Velvet sputters, but she rolls in at 9! Mone just TOSSES Velvet out the other side! Mone swaggers, mocks Kris while she does, but Velvet is back! Velvet RAMS Mone low, ROCKS her, RAMS her again, then rolls her up, TWO! Mone snarls as she gets Velvet up, snap suplex! Cover, TWO, but into a chinlock! Mone grinds Velvet down, leans on the hold, and shifts the angle for a JUST FACELOCK! Velvet endures and fights around.

Mone digs her knee into Velvet, talks trash to Kris, and Collision returns to single picture once more. Velvet fights her way up, Kris taunts Mone with the world title, but Mone spins Velvet, BIG back- CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Velvet ducks ‘n’ dodges and she LARIATS! Wheelbarrow and BULLDOG! Velvet fires up, the fans are torn, and Velvet has Mone on the ropes. DOUBLE KENES to the back! Velvet then YANKS the ropes to snap Mone back, cover, TWO! The fans fire up as Velvet winds up, but Mone catches the heater into a STATEMENT MAKER!! Velvet endures, fights around, and she fights around!

The fans rally, Mone kicks off the ropes and rolls, but Velvet pops free! LA MAGISTROL! TWO, Velvet goes for an armbar but Mone clasps hands! Velvet stands up to then step on the arm! REVERSE ARM SCISSORS! Mone flails, reaches out, and the fans rally as she fights free! Roll to a cover, TWO!! Velvet lets go in time, Mone goes to ropes, and they both storm up. Velvet bobs ‘n’ weaves as Mone throws wild hands, and she KICKS Mone’s leg out! HEEL- NO, Mone blocks the kick to KNEE Velvet! Velvet staggers back and Boston fires up with Mone! Mone runs corner to corner, but Velvet dodges! Mone is stuck in the corner, Velvet METEORAS her!

Velvet then GERMAN SUPLEXES Mone, and winds up for the HEEL KICK!! Cover, TWO!! Mone survives and Velvet drags her up. The fans cheer on “Women’s Wrestling!” as Mone shoves Velvet away. Velvet tilt-o-whirls for an IRON OCTOPUS! Mone endures, the fans rally as she fades, and Mone powers up to gut wrench! CIPHER UTAKI! Cover, TWO!! Velvet survives, if just barely! Mone is frustrated, Kris is laser focused, and Mone hauls Velvet up. Mone brings Velvet around to KNEE her low! Mone goes up, but Velvet fires hands! Velvet climbs up after Mone, ROCKS her again, and wheelbarrows for a SUPER VICTORY ROLL!! Cover, TWO!!!

Mone survives, Velvet roars, and Kris admires how much this title means to Velvet while this is just a trinket to Mone. Velvet drags Mone up, but Mone fires elbows! “This is Awesome!” as Mone powers up and out of the dragon sleeper to gut wrench again! CIPHER- RANA!! Velvet sends Mone to a corner, then storms up to put her back up top! Velvet ROCKS Mone, climbs again, and CLUBS away! But Mone fires body shots in return! Mone scoops and SUPER CIPHER UTAKI!!! Cover, MONE WINS!!

Winner: Mercedes Mone, by pinfall (UNDISPUTED ROH Women’s World Television Champion)

Despite what Kris was saying, The CEO managed to lock in and lock down this ROH title in her collection! Mone rubs it in by standing on the desk, but Kris just holds up the AEW Women’s World Championship. But then Mone THROWS the belts at Kris and METEORAS to the floor! Mone rains down fists on Kris, the ref reprimands, but she puts the STATEMENT MAKER on Kris!! Kris flails and claws at the hold but Mone vows that the world title will be hers! Mone SHOVES Kris down, then picks up all the belts! Will nothing stop #UltiMone from adding to her treasury? Or will Mone catch the Staturday Night Fever?

My Thoughts:

A great three hour show for AEW, especially as a go-home. With that, they really threw some last minute things onto the show. While Moxley & Claudio VS Cassidy & Roddy was a really good match, it was just a vehicle to get us Moxley VS O’Reilly: No Holds Barred. That will be an awesome match, but I can already feel Yuta and Garcia and maybe even Claudio getting involved to make sure Moxley doesn’t lose another match. Though at the same time, Conglomeration could counter, but then that really defeats the purpose of Moxley and Kyle going 1v1, and we’ve also already seen Blood & Guts, we don’t need another faction fight.

Then Tony Khan just throws stuff on top of the Women’s Tag tournament as if it needs spicing up. A Fatal 4 Way to then add a stipulation to just one of the semifinal matches? And even then, they didn’t properly explain if this was Four Corners Survival or Tornado Tag because Renee said one while Excalibur said the other. To be honest, I’d prefer Tornado, it just makes more sense given the tensions between the teams. As for the tournament itself, Toni & Mina were of course winning their match, and despite all the hard work TayJay has put in over the years, it was natural Megan & Marina were winning there. Good promos from Babes of Wrath and Sisters of Sin, as well as the Love Bombs in response to Megan & Marina winning, these matches will still be a lot of fun.

Kazuchika Okada VS Mascara Dorada was awesome stuff, at least up until that major apron DDT botch. That might’ve shook both guys a bit, but they managed to finish it up. Though, then there was the rana bomb botch, but Dorada was surprisingly okay. Okada getting the win made sense, and this is a clever way for them to bring back the Okada-Takeshita dysfunction. I would think then that Hechicero takes the loss for The Don Callis Family, El Sky Team retains, and we build up more tension so that the Continental Classic could be where it all comes to a head. Okada’s the “greatest tournament wrestler” ever, but Takeshita just won this past G1 Climax, their feud could also have the underline of proving who is truly the best round robin wrestler ever.

Speaking of the Family, very good promo from Fletcher and Briscoe, and a clever loophole around the “No Physicality Agreement” by having teammates do the attack for Fletcher. But this just makes it very clear that Briscoe is winning the TNT Championship, thereby tying the series at 3-3 and perhaps compelling “game seven” for Worlds End or something like that. Not the worst idea, rivalries are always good to have in pro-wrestling. But no matter who wins out in the end, those two then need to go their separate ways for like half a year so we can have them each face other people.

I said it last week, I’ll say it again, The Bucks are definitely NOT joining the Don Callis Family and are going to help Kenny Omega on Saturday. They won their Six Man Tag tonight, but there was the tense moments and dysfunction before. Then with The Bucks not going through with initiation, they clearly don’t want to hurt Omega anymore, even if it’s for a million dollars. The Elite can reunite with Kenny Omega as the center, though hopefully Jack Perry doesn’t take offense. Either way, The Elite can then feud with The Don Callis Family for the next stretch and that should be fun.

Pac had a very good promo calling out Darby, and surely their match happens, can’t wait to see how it goes. Very good promo from Bang Bang Gang, but Juice being so confident they’re winning surely means they aren’t winning. As I said on Saturday, it’d be great if Not Acclaimed won so that they both see the literal monetary value of them sticking together. Very good promos from Brodido and FTR, but I still think FTR wins out. As great as Brodido is, as popular as they are, FTR making history has to clearly be the endgame of this, or else it would’ve been some other team facing Brodido at Full Gear.

Hangman VS Shibata was great stuff, though I can’t be sure if it really needed to bleed into Collision. Hangman still gave a good promo to warn Joe, but now I wonder if Hangman defies go-home math and still wins at Full Gear. I’m still wondering if Hook has a part to play, as well. Hook could show up as if he’s gonna mess Joe over, only to stick it to Hangman and be back with The Opps. I mean, the turned The Opps when everyone still really liked them, so why not turn Hook while he’s still fairly popular with the fans? Just not sure we need Hangman feuding with yet another faction of tough guys who cheat…

Great stuff with the Casino Gauntlet entry matches, though I’m not sure Ricochet needed to talk as much as he did. And the thing that hurt Shelton VS Bailey was the clear miscommunication on the finish. Either Paul Turner forgot which superkick was supposed to end it, or Bailey was legit dazed by the first superkick because that thing came in hot. Either way, clever stuff having both Hurt Syndicate members start. They either pal around for a couple minutes or they do a friendly bit of grappling before someone else shows up. I still don’t see Hurt Syndicate winning the National Championship, but both Lashley & Shelton being there to start is a great obstacle for everyone else to overcome in order to win.

Great vignette promo from Kris, though she could’ve done better on commentary. She just kinda repeated herself from this vignette, and then just repeated herself again. But Mone VS Velvet was a great match, though maybe a little rocky at the start. To be fair, this was Velvet’s first match back, and she and Mone haven’t done much together, so it’d take anyone a minute to get back into the groove. And in the end, I appreciate that Mone gets a definitive win rather than surviving, and that SUPER Cipher Utaki is wild. Mone then doubles down by beating up Kris, meaning the go-home math heavily favors Kris retaining the women’s world title, as she should.

My Score: 9/10

The Death Riders speak.

It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.

The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

AEW World Trios Championship Eliminator: The Conglomeration VS Lee Moriarty & The Infantry w/ Shane Taylor Promotions!

Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?

The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. The fans boo, Bravo headlocks, but Briscoe powers up, out, and headlocks in return. Bravo powers up and out but Briscoe RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Briscoe runs. Bravo drops down, hurdles, but Briscoe hits a crane stance! Bravo says that’s stupid! But Briscoe ducks Bravo’s punch to UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Bravo reverses to ROCK Briscoe! The forearms go back and forth, Briscoe fires a flurry, but Bravo CLAWS Briscoe’s face!

Bravo runs, but Briscoe winds up to UPPERCUT! The fans cheer the Redneck Kung-Fu! Lee tags in and hits his tiger stance. But then Kyle calls to Briscoe, and Briscoe tags Kyle! The fans cheer as Kyle and Lee tie up, go around, and Kyle wrenches. Lee wrenches, slips through, and waistlocks. They go around, Lee switches but Kyle has the arm. Kyle arm-drags Lee down, double wristlock, but Lee fights around. Kyle body scissors, rolls to the cover, TWO! The fans fire up as the two go again, knuckle lock, and Lee headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, Lee goes up and around, but Kyle does the same to slide under.

Lee ducks a kick, then wheelbarrows to victory roll, then EURO CLUTCH! TWO! Kyle is up, Lee backs off, and the fans cheer the exchange. Lee points to Nigel McGuinness, wanting him to remember the Euro Clutch did him in the last time they faced off. Kyle storms up on Lee, Lee headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Lee RUNS Kyle, keeps moving, but Kyle drops down. Lee sunset flips but Kyle stays up! Kyle shakes his head, drops down into the ARMBAR, but here comes The Infantry! Briscoe & Cassidy intercept Dean & Bravo, fire off hands in corners, and Kyle shifts to an ANKLE LOCK! But Lee reels Kyle into a headlock.

Briscoe & Cassidy TOSS The Infantry, then go out after them. Lee waistlocks, Kyle fires elbows, and Kyle climbs up in the corner. The fans count along as Kyle goes all the way to TEN! Tag to Briscoe, he climbs up, and he rains down fists! Briscoe goes all the way to TEN, then he tags Cassidy! The fans fire up again as Cassidy winds up, climbs up, and rains down ONE! The fans cheer Cassidy while Lee stumbles. Lee tags Dean, and now The Captain steps to Cassidy. Dean says go ahead, put the hands in the pockets. Cassidy says okay, and he raises his hands, to then slowly, slowly, put them in his pockets!

The fans cheer as Cassidy then ducks ‘n’ dodges Dean, and still arm-drags Dean away! Dean runs up, Cassidy drops down to MONKEY FLIP! Then Cassidy kips up! The fans fire up, but Bravo storms in and whips him to a corner. Cassidy goes up, out, and ducks Bravo to bump him off buckles! Dean tries, but Cassidy bumps him off buckles! Bravo tries again, he just gets buckles! Dean tries again, he just gets buckles! The fans fire up as Cassidy climbs, but Lee trips him up! The fans boo while Cassidy falls to the mat, but the ref has to keep Kyle & Briscoe from going after Lee! The Infantry flanks Cassidy, but Cassidy bobs n’ weaves to dodge the shots!

Cassidy tries again, but the CARLIE CROSSOVER hits, then a feed to the SLINGSHOT SPEAR! Lee drags Cassidy to the apron, the ref is still distracted, Shane Taylor hits a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans boo but STP has taken control while Collision goes to picture in picture!

Lee drags Cassidy up, puts him in the ring, and Dean covers, TWO! Dean drags Cassidy up, whips him to ropes, then BODY BLOWS! Cassidy falls in a heap but Dean soaks up heat. Cover, Briscoe breaks it! Bravo is upset, but he CLUBS Cassidy. Cassidy fights the suplex, Bravo CLUBS him again and again, then suplexes through! Cover, TWO! Cassidy toughs it out but Bravo drags Cassidy over to the corner.

Dean tags in, The Infantry stomps away on Cassidy, but the ref counts. Dean stops to kneel on Cassidy, then steps off again. Cassidy throws “shots” on the leg, but Dean stomps Cassidy down! Dean then BLASTS Briscoe & Kyle! The ref reprimands but that just lets Bravo CHOKE Cassidy! The ref reprimands Bravo now as Collision returns to single picture. Dean asks, “Is this camera on me? B! B! C!” BRONCO BUSTER CAPTAIN! Dean bounces, Bravo says if you see Cap in that corner, yo’ ass is a goner! Dean drags Cassidy up, tags Bravo, and Dean sends Bravo in for the SPLASH! But that’s not all! Dean staggers into the kick, the underhooks, and JAY DRILLER!! Cover, Conglomeration wins!

Winners: The Conglomeration, by pinfall (denies Shane Taylor Promotions a title opportunity)

When it rains, it pours for STP! Will they just have to regroup and refocus taking over ROH? Will The Conglomeration continue to #ManUp here in AEW?

Will Ospreay speaks.

It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.

“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?

“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Lexy Nair congratulates them on their win tonight, and brings up that Moxley has accepted Kyle’s challenge. Kyle says yes, Moxley is right, Kyle has his number. But facing Moxley has been the biggest test of Kyle’s career, so what’s one more test? This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.

Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.

“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”

Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?

Backstage interview with Darby Allin.

Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!

And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Or is this one Collision Darby will not walk away from?

Bowens says if you’re asking what this change of attitude is about… This man, Samoa Joe, has been teaching Bowens all he needs to know: choices have consequences; and if you don’t like the way the table is set, you flip that table over and you choose violence! The fans cheer, and now Joe speaks on the mic. “Oh, Ospreaaaay~…! Do you understand what I do for my friends? But unfortunately, decisions have consequences, and you chose a different road, Will. The respected one, Jamie Hayter, says she had the title stripped away from her and it’s eluded her ever since. And the uncertainty, Hikaru Shida, says even though it is every one for themselves, she knows she and Kris will be on the same page, just like always! Kris says y’know who really has her back? COFFIN DROP!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

As if his reign wasn’t wild and reckless before, Darby just doubled down with Sammy here tonight! And yet, he’s now set for a showdown with Speedball in Portland! Will no one and nothing stop Darby Allin from doing this again and again? Or is he about to write a check his body can’t cash?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision that not only fed Double or Nothing but did a great job following up ROH Supercard of Honor, assuring fans that ROH does matter after all, despite the lack of building contenders and therefore new champions. I mean, Athena is STILL champion, even when Survival of the Fittest was the best way to dethrone her while protecting her. But good interaction from Athena and Mina ahead of their Owen Hart Cup match, and if Athena is going to still be champion even now, she might as well just be a finalist already. On the other end, it’d be great if Willow also got to the finals to potentially be a two-time Queen of Harts.

Speaking of Willow, great promo with Conglomeration, great match with Red Velvet, but with Velvet still the ROH Women’s World TV Champion, it makes sense that Willow retains her title. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Shane Taylor Promotions, and The Conglomeration’s win helps them build momentum towards all their stories. Very good promo from Kyle, very good promo from Death Riders, and I feel like Kyle should at least last the 20 minute time limit to earn his title match with Moxley for Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Cassidy & Roddy are NOT winning against FTR, FTR has to settle things with Cope & Christian first.

Ciampa going after Briscoe, that whole brawl, and then Briscoe upping the ante for Dynamite, that No Disqualification match is going to be awesome. Very good tag match of Joe & Bowens VS Lethal & Lee, with a good win for The Opps. Very good promo from Joe & Bowens after, and a very good promo from Ospreay, too. Joe VS Ospreay could be a show stealer, but I would think Ospreay wins so that his story with The Death Riders can be part of the Owen Cup. TayJay being back together is great, and I can see them going right at Divine Dominion and easily lasting the five minutes to then earn their title match later on.

Great Six Man Tag of Davis & Dogs VS Rascalz, but with Stadium Stampede looming, naturally Davis & Dogs won to bring momentum for their team. I’d expect The Demand to have their own tune-up for the three-hour super show go-home next week, but they might’ve announced that tonight if that were the case. Very good promo from Lio Rush to further this Jekyll & Hyde/Smeagle & Gollum type of gimmick for him. For those who didn’t watch Supercard (or haven’t read my article on it), Action Andretti turned on Lio Rush and partially blamed Lio’s new dark side for it. RIP CRU, we hardly knew you, but Action VS this Lio is going to be great stuff between AEW and ROH programming.

And of course, another insane instant classic from Darby Allin as he and Sammy use No Count Outs to get hardcore. Good bit of selling from Darby to tease his body giving out on him, but naturally he wins out. They might do a similar spot during his match against Speedball on Wednesday to make it seem MJF has a chance of taking the title at Double or Nothing.

My Score: 8.9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!

Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.

Winners: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks, by pinfall

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!

Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: Mike Bailey, by pinfall

Another fast ‘n’ furious finish, and Bailey’s on a hot streak! But now, the other side of JetSpeed looks to keep it up! But just who is Kevin Knight defending the TNT Championship against? It’s… BRIAN CAGE!? The Machine finally returns to action, and he has the Don Callis Family with him! Will Cage be able to ground Knight and take this title back to the family?

The fans cheer as Cage eggs Knight on. Knight urns, leaps, but into Cage’s arms! Cage uses Knight to do curls, then THROWS knight! Knight lands out, RAMS Cage, but Cage comes back! Knight RAMS Cage again, but it’s still not enough! Knight tries a bigger SHOULDER TACKLE, but Cage stays standing! Knight runs one more time, ducks ‘n’ dodges, SATELLITE- NO, Cage stops the DDT! Cage THROWS Knight away!

Knight staggers, Cage SUPERKICKS him down! “Who betta than Cage?!” The fans fire up as Cage storms up on Knight, stands him up, and bumps him off buckles. Cage RAMS into Knight, stands him up, then RAMS again! The ref counts, Cage CHOPS, and the fans cheer. Bailey rallies the fans but Archer coaches Cage, and Cage whips Knight hard into the corner! The fans are torn as Cage hauls Knight up. Cage ROCKS Knight, CHOPS him, then CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Cage stops at 4, then Cage stalks Knight. Cage stands Knight up, whips him to the corner, then runs in, only for Knight to BOOT! Cage still LARIATS!

Cage hauls Knight up, whips him to ropes, but Knight grabs ropes. Knight DUMPS Cage out, then DROPKICKS him down! Cage sputters, the fans fire up, and Knight builds speed to DIVE! But he bounces off Cage! Cage then fireman’s carries, APRON F5! Knight sputters but Cage goes up the steps to soak up cheers and jeers, all while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Cage refreshes the ring count, drags Knight up again, and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Knight writhes, Cage refreshes the count again, then he whips Knight into barriers! Knight practically falls into the laps of the front row! But Cage brings Knight around to CHOP him down! Cage soaks up the cheers and jeers before he brings Knight around again. Cage SMACKS Knight off the apron, then puts him in the ring. Cage storms into the ring, drags Knight by his legs, and ties the legs up into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Knight endures as Cage sits deep! Knight powers up, fights his way forward, and he reaches to the ROPEBREAK!

The ref counts, Cage lets go at 4, but Cage brings Knight up. Knight CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS, but Cage still doesn’t back down. Knight fires more shots, but Cage UPPERCUTS him down! Cage digs his boot into Knight at the corner, but he stops as the ref counts. Cage drags Knight up, puts him in a corner, and LARIATS! Cage wrenches to then SAIDO Knight away! Knight flounders to the apron, Cage soaks up more cheers and jeers, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Knight rises to fire forearms on Cage, but Cage ROCKS Knight in return! Cage slingshots Knight into a facelock, for a SPIRALING SUPLEX! Cover, TWO!

Knight survives and Cage is frustrated, but Cage decides to write Knight off. Cage drags Knight up, reels him in, and suplexes, DRILL- NO, Knight slips free to waistlock. But Cage ELBOWS Knight, whips, but Knight jumps up! SATELLITE- NO, Cage goes for ropes! Knight HOTSHOTS Cage for it! Then Knight springboards back in, MISSILE DROPKICK! The fans fire up while both men are down! A standing count starts while the fans rally up. Cage goes to a corner but he runs up on Knight. Knight bobs ‘n’ weaves, fires off shots, then fires a flurry of haymakers! But Cage grabs and TOSSES Knight to a corner!

Cage runs up, Knight dodges, and Knight runs back in. Knight ducks ‘n ‘dodges, FLAPJACK DROPKICK! The fans fire up as Cage bails out! Knight builds speed and FLIES! Cage catches him?!? The fans go nuts as Cage lifts, but Knight RANAS Cage into POST! The fans cheer as Knight hurries to get space. Knight runs, goes up the apron, and LEAPING LARIATS! Down goes Cage! The fans fire up with Knight, he puts Cage in the ring, and he hurries up the corner. Archer creeps up, but Bailey SUPERKICKS him! The fans cheer, but Cage CLUBS Knight! AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!

This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. And in the Owen Hart Tournament, I will prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m a better wrestler than you. I am the FUTURE world champion!

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

BREAKING NEWS for next week!

If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10
