BREAKING NEWS on a backstage incident!

Renee Paquette lets us know that JetSpeed were viciously attacked, and they won’t be medically cleared to compete tonight! There’s a question mark as to what this means for that match, but there’s no question whodunnit as in step The Demand and Don Callis! They mockingly asks what happened and voice their pity, but Renee brings up the bounty that they all put out on JetSpeed just last weekend. Ricochet says he has no idea where that is coming from. He said that if someone were to hurt JetSpeed, they’d be paid a large sum of money. Uh, that’s the literal definition of a bounty. No, no, it’s more like a gentlemen’s agreement!

But Callis says no matter what you call it, someone or something just got very rich. And it’s JAKE SOMETHING DOYLE! This man’s an animal, and so is Mark Davis! They’re gonna kill people! You ready for this? This is gonna be great! Ricochet says yeah, that’s good stuff. But now that Something happened to Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey, who will “Jungle” Jack Perry have to help him against Ricochet & The Gates of Agony?

AEW Continental Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley VS Shelton Benjamin!

Darby Allin arrives backstage.

The Relentless One is fuming as he looks around, in and out of rooms, clearly on the hunt. Will he find The Bastard, Pac, before the night is over? Or will The Bastard find him first?

Oh, and speaking of initials, FTR is here, helping wheel Stokely Hathaway out here. They also like what they see, but will they have to contend with The Family in the near future?

Renee Paquette is in the ring.

Dynamite returns with the table all set, and Renee says, “Ladies and gentlemen, it is my absolute honor to welcome out the human ray of sunshine. She is also the NEW TBS Champion, Willow Nightingale!” The fans cheer as The Babe with the Power is also the Babe with Two Belts! She is joined by her besties, Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander, and these champions all go to the ring to celebrate Willow dethroning Mercedes Mone after 584 DAYS! Renee says Willow is now a double champion, a TWO-TIME AEW TBS Champion, and that has to feel really good to start 2026. Also the lights get screwed up so they put a spotlight on Willow.

Willow says oh yes, she is feeling great, feeling complete. Because this is the first stop in the Double Champ Willow Two Belts Tour, right here in Tulsa, Oklahoma! And Willow knows, when you win the title, that is when the hard work truly begins. You put your head down, you get ready for the next challenger, but she also knows that it is very important to take in the good moments, smell the roses, celebrate when things really matter. So she is here with Renee! She is here with her beautiful, busty, blonde badass babe, Harley Cameron, the other half of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions.

And we’re also here to celebrate a reunion! Because Willow is reunited with her beautiful TBS Championship! That’s pretty sweet, but she’s also been reunited with the AEW Women’s World Champion, the incomparable, the amazing Kris Statlander! The fans cheer as Kris kisses Willow on the cheek. Willow says it’s gonna be a good time! They’ve got some sweets, cuz let’s face it, ya gurl loves cake. Fans chant, “We Want Cake!” and Willow says they gonna get cake. But the one thing Willow loves most of all is the fight, and she says if someone wants to challenge for the TBS title, if they wanna challenge for the tag titles, come get some!

Willow will even do two fights in one night if she has to! That is what pro-wrestling is about! The fans cheer that! Willow says since this is pro-wrestling, we all know somebody in the back wants to crash the party. They don’t want us to have a good time. The fans boo that, but Willow says she’ll invite whoever is waiting. And she knows “Miss Thang” is back there, really wanting to say something, so Mercedes Mone… Come on and join us! The fans are torn on that, but yes, The CEO makes her way to the ring. And she wears a white version of a funeral outfit, at that. Mone goes to the ring, wipes tears from her eyes, and Willow says she is always so fashionable.

And they have so much to celebrate together! Mone had an unstoppable 2025! PWI’s Number One Woman! Sports Illustrated’s Number One Woman! She has gone from country to country, company to company, and racking up those titles. She is now #UltiMone. Willow had to dig deep to get that TBS title back. But Willow is once again the Face of TBS! The fans cheer that! Let’s cut cake and have a great time! Mone takes off her hat, eyes still wet with tears. Willow wants Mone to calm down, but Mone throws a fit by throwing food! She even tips the table over! Kris saves the cake, at least. The fans boo Mone being a party pooper!

Harley tries to cheer Mone up with a party popper, but Mone just SHOVES Harley down! And then she runs up on Willow, but Willow dodges, tripping Mone up in the process, and Mone hits the cake face first! The fans boo but Mone freaks out more! So Willow kicks her, and gut wrenches, BABE WITH THE POWER BOMB onto what’s left of the cake! Well, Mone wanted the spotlight, and now that spotlight is on her humiliation. The fans cheer Willow as she starts a party train, leading Harley, Kris, and even Renee around the ring. But to Willow’s point, who will step up to her, Harley & Kris in hopes of taking those titles for their own?

Mark Briscoe speaks.

The Sussex County Chicken is back home as he says, “First of all, big shoutout to the NEW TBS Champion, Willow. Way to go, girl, good job, you make The Conglomeration look good, I’m proud of ya. Now let’s get to work. It’s 2026, and I’ve been your TNT Champion since November 2025, got one successful title defense. But other than that, I’ve been sitting back enjoying a lot of Continental Classic action. And it’s been absolutely amazing. But now that it’s behind us, back to your regularly scheduled programming. And I’m your TNT Champ, the workhorse champ of professional wrestling. So you know I’ve had some time to rejuvenate, regenerate, recalculate.

“And physically, I’m feeling good, I’m feeling dangerous. But mentally, I ain’t doing so good. You can ask me, ‘Chicken, why you ain’t doing so good? You the champ! You should be happy!’ Well, I tell ya, it’s been too long. I got an itch that needs scratching. I got a dog that needs feeding, it’s just been too long… since I whooped a man’s ass. That being said, I was tickled to death to hear that Hechicero is the next challenger for the TNT title, back where the title reign began, the Don Callis Family, it’s come full circle. Well, y’know, Hechicero, I know you a bad man that can get it done in the ring, but lemme do something real quick if you don’t mind.”

Mark reaches down and he picks up his “magic ball.” Saturday, TNT, Collision, Mark sees it clearly now! He picks up the title and says it ain’t going nowhere! Just like the TBS title that his girl, Willow, has ain’t going nowhere! Just like them Women’s Tag titles ain’t going nowhere! The Conglomeration are all kinds of strapped up! So let him leave you with this: The Word, or Phrase of the Day is… REIGN AND DEFEND! Briscoe is all fired up, but will he get Hechicero to #ManUp? Or will The Alchemist of Lucha Libre soon be the NEW Face of TNT?

The Triangle of Madness speaks.

Thekla mockingly applauds and cheers how Kris Statlander finally found some friends. But is Kris really this insecure? Do words affect her so much that she was compelled to reunite with a woman she actually hates? Julia Hart says, “The lies are written all over your face.” Skye Blue says, “A friend of yours is a victim in wait.” Thekla wonders when Kris will “accidentally” hit Harley in the face again, or hit Willow with a light tube. In fact, let’s find out! How about Kris and her “friends,” congrats on all being champions by the way, and see how long they all last against this. And make no mistake, the Triangle of Madness aren’t three friends. They’re three sisters!

They are bonded by blood, they are the Daughters of Violence, so come on friends, let’s get toxic. And so, for Maximum Carnage next week, we will see this Six Woman Tag! Will the champions of AEW stand tall together in the desert? Or will Thekla, Julia & Skye leave them all out in the cold?

Bandido VS Sammy Guevara!

Before The Most Wanted ROH World Champion faces The Scumbag AEW World Champion in Phoenix, “Everyone’s Favorite Pillar” vows to do something so heinous tonight, that Bandido will be out and Sammy will be in that title match instead! Will Sammy stop at nothing to have his “destiny” fulfilled? Or will The Outlaw have the hot hand going into Maximum Carnage?

The fans boo but Sammy QUEBRADA TORNADO DDTS to the floor! Sammy lounges on the desk, and even he knows Dynamite is going picture in picture.

Sammy takes his time swaggering and talking trash on Bandido, then he even takes Schiavone’s headset to tell the fans stuff. Sammy then SUPERKICKS Bandido down, finishes talking trash and he gives Schiavone his headset back before he runs to the steel steps. Sammy uses them to get up and FLYING AX HANDLE Bandido! Sammy puts Bandido in the ring, soaks up more heat as he steps inside, and he drags Bandido back up. Sammy snap suplexes, then floats to a cover, TWO! Sammy goes to the corner, climbs up, and takes aim. Sammy builds up the energy, then hops down to SUPERKICK! Cover, TWO!

Bandido toughs it out but Sammy soaks up more heat while talking more trash. Sammy then goes back to Bandido and brings him into a chinlock. Bandido endures, fights up, and fireman’s carries! Sammy flails to fight free, then waistlocks. Bandido fires elbows to get free, then he runs, but into another SUPERKICK! Sammy hurries to cover, TWO! Sammy argues the count but it was fair, so Sammy puts Bandido on the ropes. Sammy CHOKES Bandido, soaks up the heat while he flexes, but hops off at 4. Sammy brings Bandido back up and back around into the chinlock. Bandido endures again and fights back up.

Bandido fires body shots, Sammy CLUBS him down, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Sammy back suplexes, but now Bandido lands out! Sammy avoids a buzzsaw to SUPERKICK! Then he runs to CHOP Bandido down! Sammy then winds it up, and he CHOPS again! Sammy soaks up the heat, runs up again, but Bandido dodges to CHOP! The fans fire up as Bandido CHOPS, CHPOS, and CHOPS! The fans fire up as Bandido winds up, but Sammy ducks the next chop to BODY BLOW! Sammy CHOPS, whips, but Bandido reverses. Sammy reverses back, LARIATS, and runs corner to corner, only for Bandido to follow!

Bandido hits the ropes then tumbles to the floor! The fans boo as Sammy sets up at the corner. Sammy wipes the blood from his nose but has a grin on his face as he climbs. Sammy aims, but Bandido blocks the superkick! The fans cheer as Bandido FLIPS Sammy, into a V-TRIGGER!! Sammy is on the ropes, Bandido deals the BLACKJACK 21 PLEX!! Bridging cover, Bandido wins!!

Winner: Bandido, by pinfall

The Dynamite Diamond Ringbearer is victorious, but wait! MJF interrupts the celebration by making his entrance. The fans are torn as The Scumbag gets sparkler rain for his pyro, and Jon Cruz hands him a mic as they go down the ring together. MJF has them cut his music so he can then talk to Bandido. “My God, buddy! That was one heck of a match, my friend! Everybody, give it up for Bandido, huh? Yeah!” The fans do cheer, and MJF says this is one talented little luchador. But to be honest, guys, if anyone knows about lucha libre, it’s MJF! MJF sold out Arena Mexico multiple times, and is the former CMLL World (Light) Heavyweight Champion!

MJF even beat the so-called top star in Mexico, dog-walked him really. What was his name again? Mistico? Who cares. But the bottom line is, ladies and gentlemen, MJF is a lucha legend! If they’re being really honest, and no offense, MJF is a bigger star in Mexico than Bandido will ever be! But MJF’s bar is super high, that’s no shade on Bandido. To be honest, MJF thinks Bandido has a lot of potential. He really does. MJF sees something in Bandido. Bandido is talented. And because MJF respects Bandido’s talent, his culture, and his country, MJF brought out his good friend and translator, Johnathan Cruz, to make sure we don’t get any wires crossed.

MJF has Jon translate into Espanol, and Jon tells “Bandido, Bandido, Bandido…” Congrats on winning big here on AEW Dynamite. But while Bandido is a world champion, he does not compare to MJF! MJF is the world champion of AEW, and was the world champion of CMLL! Bandido has nothing to compare to that. And most important of all, MJF beat the man Bandido never could, the idol of CMLL, Mistico! Jon has Bandido stay calm, and MJF thanks Jon for that. Plus, it is highly professional of Jon to come to a dump like Tulsa to do his job. No one wants to be here, what a mench.

But seriously, Bandi, like MJF said, you’re a good kid and you’ve got moxie. But let’s hope you’re smarter than you look. Because as everyone knows, MJF has six beautiful Dynamite Diamond Rings to his name, yet he’s come out here with not a single one of them on. Bandido shoves off his ring, and the fans tell MJF he’s an “A-HOLE~!” MJF says no, he’d like to think that Bandido is respectful to know that the Dynamite Diamond Ring on his finger doesn’t belong to him, it belongs to MJF. The fans boo, but MJF says with all due respect, please hand that ring over. They can skip the world title match next week, they all know MJF would beat the crap outta Bandido anyway.

The fans keep pouring on the heat, but MJF says if Bandido does the right thing, scout’s honor, MJF will talk with Tony Khan and put Bandido over. In fact, MJF will wrestle Bandido live on PPV… in like five or ten years. That’s a fair build! Translate again, Jon! But Bandido stops Jon from speaking, snatches that mic, and he tells MJF, “Hey, I can speak English, YOU STUPID SON OF A B*TCH!” MJF is amused now, and he says okay, we can all just calm down. LOW BLOW! The fans boo as MJF gets Bandido outta nowhere, then he STEALS the Dynamite Diamond Ring! The fans boo as MJF puts it on his pinkie, and puts Triple B on the mat.

Jon stands Bandido up, MJF winds up, but Bandido ducks! DYNAMITE DIAMOND RING into Jon! MJF panics, but Bandido LOW BLOWS MJF in return! And yes, he takes the ring back! Bandido puts it on his finger, then winds up, BLACKJACK 21 PLEX on Jon Cruz! MJF stumbles and leans on ropes, Bandido says he’s got another one for ya! BLACKJACK 21 PLEX on MJF! The fans fire up as Bandido is dealing out aces! He holds up Triple B, and says he’ll be back for this next week. Will there truly be Maximum Carnage in Phoenix? Or will MJF find a way to keep the title around his waist no matter what?

Brody King speaks.

“When people watch my wrestling, or they listen to my music, they think of violence as a bad thing. Violence puts food on my family’s table. Violence protects my friends and loved ones. Sometimes, violence IS the answer. When you think of big men in this business, you think of a giant monster yelling his head off. That’s not me. I don’t have to scream to get my point across. Whether it’s jumping off a stage or dropping people on their heads, this is me. When I do this, I want everyone whose watching to know, Brody King is coming for the throne.”

Toni Storm VS Marina Shafir!

After helping The Conglomeration handle The Death Riders, things have gotten even more personal between The TIMELESS One and The Problem! But will Toni continue to win in the New Year? Or will Marina force feed her some of Mother’s Milk?

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Marina powers Toni to the ropes but the ref counts. The fans cheer Toni on while Marina lets off, but then Marina trips Toni! Marina scuffs Toni, but Toni gets up in a fury! Marina backs off to the other side, but Toni drags her back in! Marina trips Toni, Toni kicks but Marina cartwheels through to then headlock. Toni fights up, Marina wrenches her and SAYANAGI! The fans rally for Toni but Marina flips her over and ties up the legs. Marina ELBOW DROPS the legs, but Toni fires elbows into Marina. Marina hooks that arm, floats around, and flips Toni back over.

Toni kips up, arm-drags free, but Marina storms back up. Toni ducks the roundhouse, snapmares Marina, snapmares again, then snapmares again! And BOOT! The fans fire up as Toni then builds speed, HIP ATTACK! Marina falls from apron to floor and the fans fire up! Toni slides out, brings Marina up, and CLUBS her against the apron! Then Toni brings Marina around to SMACK off the steel steps! Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia appear ringside but they stay back. Toni puts Marina in, then glares at the Death Riders. She tells them off, but Marina headscissors Toni to drag her into the ring! But Toni makes it a high stack! TWO!!

Toni almost had Marina, but then Marina URENAGES Toni! The fans boo but Marina soaks up that heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Marina rains down forearms on Toni, then steps off to walk around. Marina then drags Toni up, whips her to a corner hard, and winds up to KICK! Marina fires forearms against the ropes, then puts Toni in a corner for more! Toni staggers, Marina stalks her, and Marina fires forearms and KNEES into Toni again and again! Marina sits Toni down, then digs her foot in. The ref counts, Garcia & Yuta talk trash, but Marina stops at 4. Marina argues with the ref, then stalks Toni to a corner. Marina CHOPS Toni, then follows her to another corner. Toni winds up to CHOP! But Marina CHOPS Toni down! Cover, TWO!

Marina is annoyed but she clamps onto Toni with a chinlock. Toni has the ROPEBREAK and Luther rallies the fans. Marina drags Toni up to snap suplex! Marina drags Toni by her hair, then KICKS her in the back! Toni writhes, but Marina scuffs her. Toni goes to ropes, Marina puts her in a corner, and Marina CHOPS! Toni is stinging but Marina brings her around to SAYANAGI! Marina drags Toni by a leg, ties up the legs, and pulls her into a BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Toni endures, pops free, and covers, TWO! Toni trips Marina to a cover, ONE! Toni ROCKS Marina, but Marina ROCKS Toni back! Dynamite returns to single picture as the shots keep going!

Toni fires a flurry, but Marina clinches to shout, “Do better!” Marina then kicks Toni low! Marina puts Toni in the ropes, CHOKES her again, but the ref counts. Marina runs and TIGER FEINT SPIKES Toni off the apron! Then she BOOTS Toni back into the ring! The fans rally harder but Marina high stacks, TWO! Marina is annoyed again, and she clamps onto Toni to drag her up. Marina mocks the dancing around Toni and Orange Cassidy were doing, then swings her for a SWEEP! The fans boo but Marina acts like she doesn’t know why. Marina looms over Toni, waistlocks, and then stands Toni up to ripcord and ROCK Toni in the back!

Toni drops to her knees but the fans rally as Marina stands her up again. Marina dances with Toni again, dips her, then winds her to DECK her! The fans boo but Marina brings Toni back up. Marina whips Toni to a corner, but Toni rebounds to SHOTGUN! The fans fire up as Toni hikes up those shorts! But Marina is back up and she BOOTS Toni down! Marina says this is it, but Toni UP KICKS! Toni then winds up to HEADBUTT! BIG PACKAGE!! YUTA YANKS THE REF OUT! The fans boo, but the ref says NOPE! DISQUALIFICATION!

Winner: Toni Storm, by disqualification

Yuta & Garcia suck at cheating and they just cost Marina! Toni turns around, Marina DECKS her!! But here comes Mina! But Marina BOOTS Mina down onto Toni! Deja vu from a week or so ago, but now Luther storms into the ring! Marina stares him down, but Yuta & Garcia say bad move, butler! BUT WAIT! Roderick Strong slides out here! And Orange Cassidy’s music hits! The fans cheer as The Conglomeration hold the Death Riders at bay! Marina leads the way out, but then Claudio Castagnoli jumps in! The Death Riders have him stand down, they did the damage already. Will there be a Mixed Nuts tiebreaker in the near future?

Speaking of mixed company, Orange Cassidy is a gentlemen as he helps both Toni and Mina to their feet. Luther disapproves, but perhaps Mina is starting to warm up to Cassidy. Will 2026 still be as Freshly Squeezed as 2025?

Backstage interview with PAC.

Renee is with The Bastard and says while Pac is a Death Rider, he is also very much his own man. Darby has gotten at least one win on every Death Rider except for Pac, when and where will we see the rematch? Pac says he is not here to oblige Darby. He will be very clear: Pac has wrestled Darby twice, and he has beaten Darby twice. So that relationship is very well established: Pac is the winner, Darby is the loser, period. But then Darby storms in! Darby says he went through Hell for over a year because of The Death Riders, but he’s beaten every single one of them except Pac. Darby wants this rematch.

Pac tells Darby that he does not call the shots. Well, Darby is not taking no for an answer. Pac says believe it or not, Pac doesn’t exist to pander to the likes of Darby. Jog on, bonnie lad, Pac’s not interested. Darby seethes while Pac turns away, so Darby just grabs a fire extinguisher! Darby uses the smoke to BLAST Pac! Pac sputters and coughs, then Darby CLOBBERS him into the garage door! And then CLOBBERS him with his skateboard! And then drags him into the doorway! Darby threatens to break Pac’s ankle if Pac doesn’t give him the rematch! Darby SLAPS Pac, and Pac says okay! He’ll get what he wants!

Yuta & Garcia rush in, Darby slips away into the night! The Relentless One has the match he wants, but will he get the revenge he seeks? Or will Pac make sure the record is 3-0 in his favor?

Lights Out Tag Match: Hangman Page & Swerve Strickland VS “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs & Hook!

To think The Millennial Cowboy and The Realest would still be fighting on the same side. But it if means clearing out Samoa Joe’s pawns, they’ll gladly do it! This fight is unsanctioned and anything goes, who survives the first Dynamite of 2026?

Hangman makes his entrance from the crowd, and he even accepts a drink from a fan. Swerve also enters from the crowd, Prince Nana still vibing to the song. The lights go out, flicker back on, and that means it is on! The brawl begins in the ring, but Hobbs TOSSES Hangman while Swerve TOSSES Hook! Swerve goes out after Hook but Hook KNEES low! Hangman JAMS Hobbs up, then puts the chair around Hobbs’ head! Hangman POSTS Hobbs! Hobbs falls, and now Swerve has Hook alone in the corner! Hook tries to crawl away but Swerve drags him back in! Hangman is also there, and he goes up a corner! Swerve drags Hook around the way while Hangman takes aim.

ARIHARA MOONSAULT onto Hobbs! APRON DEATH VALLEY for Hook! The fans fire up for the Most Dangerous Men in AEW as they stand over The Opps, and the lights finally come back on in full. Hangman rolls into the ring, Swerve drags Hook around, and Swerve CHOPS Hook down! Hook sputters, but Swerve digs his boots into Hook! Hangman has the chains at the ready and Swerve brings Hook back around. Swerve puts Hook int he ring, but Hook freaks out! Hook runs away, Hangman chases him, but Hobbs CLOBBERS Hangman! Swerve PLANCHAS Hobbs down for it! The fans fire up, and Swerve goes back up to take aim again.

Swerve aims, but Hook ROCKS Swerve first! Swerve and Hook brawl on the edge, and Swerve just smirks. Swerve BOOTS Hook, then runs up, but into a clinch! T-BONE PLEX on the apron! The fans go nuts while all four men are down, and Dynamite goes picture in picture!

Nana coaches Swerve up but Hobbs & Hook have Hangman. Hobbs HEADBUTTS Hangman again and again, then ROCKS him with a forearm. Hobbs scoops Hangman to SLAM him on the apron! And SLAM him again! And again! Hobbs flips off the fans while he soaks up heat, but Hangman BOOTS him! And BOOTS him again! And BOOTS him into railing! The fans cheer while Hobbs slumps down. Hangman goes looking under the ring, and the fans cheer as he brings out a TABLE! Hangman gets the table in the ring, then steps in to grab at Hook. Hook scurries away, Hobbs hurries in, but Hangman gets Hook back in the ring.

They mug Hangman in a corner, and Hobbs HAMMERS away! Then Hook digs his boots in while Hobbs taunts the fans. Hobbs suplexes Swerve, but Swerve has the stapler! STAPLE after STAPLE to the chest! Hobbs lets Swerve down, but then suplexes through the pain! Swerve gives more staples but Hobbs’ meaty chest is tougher than that! Swerve slips free of the suplex, and Hangman has a piece of table! SMACK to Hobbs’ head! Then STAPLES TO THE NUTS!! No one is tough enough to take that! ROLLING ELBOW and down goes Hobbs!! The fans are thunderous, and Swerve coordinates with Hangman. The fans tell them they’re both sick, but Swerve & Hangman double down by bringing out… a PALETTE OF CINDER BLOCKS!!

The fans fire up as we get another reference to the shared and very violent past between these two! Hangman & Swerve get those blocks in the ring, though they get stuck on the skirt. Winners: Hangman Page & Swerve Strickland, by submission

The Opps tried to stack the deck, but you never play games with men as dangerous as Hangman & Swerve! Will nothing stop them from tearing down Samoa Joe on their road back to the AEW World Championship?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for Dynamite that wasn’t just a go-home episode to Maximum Carnage next week but a great episode on its own. They really pushed the overrun but I wonder if that’s because of MJF and Jon Cruz talking as much as they did. Bandido had an awesome match with Sammy, and then he stands tall over MJF & Cruz, so yeah, MJF is going to retain the title for Maximum Carnage. I really hope MJF doesn’t steal the diamond ring, him having that as a weapon is a really tired gimmick.

Great Continental Title Eliminator, and while I was expecting them to use up the time limit, pushing it as close as they did was great stuff. Eagle eyed fans pointed out that Shelton was already teary eyed when he made his entrance, hopefully all is well in the Benjamin family, but I could understand if this was after unfortunate news. Toni VS Marina was a great match, and with such a blatant disqualification finish, I feel like we are definitely getting one more Mixed Nuts something type of match to settle things. Everyone wants more Roddy and Marina, and you GOT to give the people what they want. Also, I like the interesting triangle being made of Toni, Mina & Cassidy.

Great “celebration” of Willow’s win, though the AEW production team still really needs to get their act together. Mone being sent into a cake and then SLAMMED onto the cake needed to be fully lit by the house lights. But good promo from Triangle of Madness, there’s the very Six Woman Tag I predicted, thereby leading to Thekla VS Kris and Julia & Skye VS Willow & Harley. The Don Callis Family brings in even more members, and interesting move to kayfabe hurt JetSpeed to give The Bucks their return moment. Awesome Six Man Tag for it, and with how Jake Something Doyle and Andrade El Idolo are getting in on this story, could we see a massive 6v6? Y’know what? Kenny, Bucks, Jack & JetSpeed VS Andrade, Mark Davis, Jake Something & The Demand, Stadium Stampede!

Darby threatening Pac to get his rematch was an interesting move, and certainly for it being all in one night. Why not have Death Riders back Darby off tonight, then Darby tries again on Collision or next week at Maximum Carnage? Or are they going to put Darby VS PAC on Maximum Carnage? Well, they could still have Darby chase Pac down for Collision and fill time on that show, but whatever. And then awesome Lights Out Tag, though they kinda took “lights out” literally for that first part. But naturally, a bunch of Opps randos attacked only to be dealt with, and that makes the win for Hangman & Swerve even better. Nice use of the stapler, the stunt cinder blocks, and the chain choking spot, but there have been wilder Lights Out matches.

My Score: 8.9/10

The Death Riders speak.

It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.

The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”

AEW World Trios Championship Eliminator: The Conglomeration VS Lee Moriarty & The Infantry w/ Shane Taylor Promotions!

Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?

The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. The fans boo, Bravo headlocks, but Briscoe powers up, out, and headlocks in return. Bravo powers up and out but Briscoe RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Briscoe runs. Bravo drops down, hurdles, but Briscoe hits a crane stance! Bravo says that’s stupid! But Briscoe ducks Bravo’s punch to UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Bravo reverses to ROCK Briscoe! The forearms go back and forth, Briscoe fires a flurry, but Bravo CLAWS Briscoe’s face!

Bravo runs, but Briscoe winds up to UPPERCUT! The fans cheer the Redneck Kung-Fu! Lee tags in and hits his tiger stance. But then Kyle calls to Briscoe, and Briscoe tags Kyle! The fans cheer as Kyle and Lee tie up, go around, and Kyle wrenches. Lee wrenches, slips through, and waistlocks. They go around, Lee switches but Kyle has the arm. Kyle arm-drags Lee down, double wristlock, but Lee fights around. Kyle body scissors, rolls to the cover, TWO! The fans fire up as the two go again, knuckle lock, and Lee headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, Lee goes up and around, but Kyle does the same to slide under.

Lee ducks a kick, then wheelbarrows to victory roll, then EURO CLUTCH! TWO! Kyle is up, Lee backs off, and the fans cheer the exchange. Lee points to Nigel McGuinness, wanting him to remember the Euro Clutch did him in the last time they faced off. Kyle storms up on Lee, Lee headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Lee RUNS Kyle, keeps moving, but Kyle drops down. Lee sunset flips but Kyle stays up! Kyle shakes his head, drops down into the ARMBAR, but here comes The Infantry! Briscoe & Cassidy intercept Dean & Bravo, fire off hands in corners, and Kyle shifts to an ANKLE LOCK! But Lee reels Kyle into a headlock.

Briscoe & Cassidy TOSS The Infantry, then go out after them. Lee waistlocks, Kyle fires elbows, and Kyle climbs up in the corner. The fans count along as Kyle goes all the way to TEN! Tag to Briscoe, he climbs up, and he rains down fists! Briscoe goes all the way to TEN, then he tags Cassidy! The fans fire up again as Cassidy winds up, climbs up, and rains down ONE! The fans cheer Cassidy while Lee stumbles. Lee tags Dean, and now The Captain steps to Cassidy. Dean says go ahead, put the hands in the pockets. Cassidy says okay, and he raises his hands, to then slowly, slowly, put them in his pockets!

The fans cheer as Cassidy then ducks ‘n’ dodges Dean, and still arm-drags Dean away! Dean runs up, Cassidy drops down to MONKEY FLIP! Then Cassidy kips up! The fans fire up, but Bravo storms in and whips him to a corner. Cassidy goes up, out, and ducks Bravo to bump him off buckles! Dean tries, but Cassidy bumps him off buckles! Bravo tries again, he just gets buckles! Dean tries again, he just gets buckles! The fans fire up as Cassidy climbs, but Lee trips him up! The fans boo while Cassidy falls to the mat, but the ref has to keep Kyle & Briscoe from going after Lee! The Infantry flanks Cassidy, but Cassidy bobs n’ weaves to dodge the shots!

Cassidy tries again, but the CARLIE CROSSOVER hits, then a feed to the SLINGSHOT SPEAR! Lee drags Cassidy to the apron, the ref is still distracted, Shane Taylor hits a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans boo but STP has taken control while Collision goes to picture in picture!

Lee drags Cassidy up, puts him in the ring, and Dean covers, TWO! Dean drags Cassidy up, whips him to ropes, then BODY BLOWS! Cassidy falls in a heap but Dean soaks up heat. Dean stomps Cassidy, drags him up, then bumps him off buckles. Dean tags Bravo to send him in for the SPLASH! Dean adds a SPLASH, then scoops while Bravo goes up, KNEE DROP SIDEWALK SLAM COMBO! Cover, Briscoe breaks it! Bravo is upset, but he CLUBS Cassidy. Cassidy fights the suplex, Bravo CLUBS him again and again, then suplexes through! Cover, TWO! Will Ospreay speaks.

It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.

“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?

“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Lexy Nair congratulates them on their win tonight, and brings up that Moxley has accepted Kyle’s challenge. Kyle says yes, Moxley is right, Kyle has his number. But facing Moxley has been the biggest test of Kyle’s career, so what’s one more test? This Wednesday, it’s a title eliminator, and after Kyle makes Moxley submit again, he is putting all his chips in and goes Double or Nothing! Briscoe says damn right, Kyle. And speaking of Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa, Briscoe put it plain and clear, but he hasn’t heard a word from Ciampa! If Ciampa’s scared, he should just say it! Cassidy says Willow needs to say something.

Willow says sure, okay. Great job, guys, really. But for her, Double or Nothing, it will be TRIPLE or nothing, because she has THIS bad boy, the TBS Championship! But she’s also coming for The Owen, and the World Championship! As for tonight, Red Velvet may have beaten Willow to qualify for The Owen, but that won’t happen tonight. Welcome back to AEW, time to meet the Comeback Killer. Lexy says by the way, that match is next. Willow fires up, hurries off to make her entrance, but will she be ready to cook with The Chef?

The fans rally as Velvet brings Willow up. Willow shoves Velvet, Velvet counter punches! And counter punches! Velvet fires a flurry, but Willow slips around to waistlock. Willow ducks the elbow but Velvet DDTS! Willow goes to ropes, Velvet runs up, DOUBLE KNEES! The fans fire up while Velvet yanks the ropes. Velvet wheelbarrows to BULLDOG! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up with Willow and she drags Velvet back up. Willow gut wrenches, BABE WITH THE POWER BOMB!! Cover, Willow wins!

Winner: Willow Nightingale, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)

Red Velvet brought the fire, but she couldn’t cook Willow! Willow is now rolling towards Double or Nothing and her match with Alex Windsor, but will she then head for her second Owen Hart Cup win?

Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.

Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.

“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”

Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?

Backstage interview with Darby Allin.

Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!

And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Or is this one Collision Darby will not walk away from?

Ciampa wants to recreate what put Briscoe on the shelf the past month! Ciampa JAMS Briscoe up with a chair first before putting it side-by-side with the other. Ciampa then climbs up, soaks up heat, and vows to end Briscoe once and for all! But then Kyle & Cassidy rush out here! Ciampa runs away from The Conglomeration, but he warns them all that he’ll get them for this! Briscoe grabs a mic to shout at Ciampa, “You ain’t nothin’ but a punk, son! You wanna do it like that? Sounds like to me Wednesday night, the only right thing to do is to make this ANYTHING GOES! NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!” The fans like the sound of that!

The Psycho Killer may have just stepped into it! Will there be nothing stopping Briscoe from doing anything he wants to Ciampa?

He is your hero! And to be honest, for everything that he does, he deserves a standing ovation! Joe certainly applauds, and the fans here in Salisbury join in!

Bowens says if you’re asking what this change of attitude is about… This man, Samoa Joe, has been teaching Bowens all he needs to know: choices have consequences; and if you don’t like the way the table is set, you flip that table over and you choose violence! The fans cheer, and now Joe speaks on the mic. “Oh, Ospreaaaay~…! Do you understand what I do for my friends? But unfortunately, decisions have consequences, and you chose a different road, Will. So allow me to say this: I am truly beyond honored that you consider facing me a dream match.” The fans cheer that, but Joe says it’s just unfortunate that when he gets Ospreay in the ring, “it’ll be nothing but a nightmare.”

Joe & Bowens have made it clear that no matter who, no matter where, and no matter what, The Opps will not show mercy. Will nothing stop The Opps from taking it all here in AEW?

Backstage interview with #Brodido.

Lexy Nair is with Brody King & Bandido, and wants to talk the Owen Hart Tournament. Brody is set to face Claudio while Bandido is up against Swerve Strickland. Now, if they both win their matches, that pits them against teach other in the semifinals. But what they also needs to talk about is last night, Supercard of Honor, Bandido retained the title, only for Swerve to attack. Brody tells Swerve that he warned him about what would happen if Swerve messed with the people Brody cared about! Next time Brody sees Swerve, he’ll- Bandido stops Brody there, and says no, no, hermano. Bandido loves you, but this is Bandido’s battle, and Brody needs to respect that.

So Bandido tells Swerve that this is a battle Swerve will not win! Swerve may be the Most Dangerous, but Bandido is the Most Wanted! And after Double or Nothing when Bandido beats Swerve, Swerve won’t be a danger to anyone anymore! Both sides of Brodido have spoken, but will either of them knock down Swerve’s House? Or will Swerve’s thirst for power be satiated with the Owen Hart Cup?

AEW hears from the four fighting for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Kris Statlander says, “At Double or Nothing, I face three women, one who I hate, one who I respect, and one who I’m still not sure about.” The hated one, Thekla, says there’s only one way this ends when she’s up against dumb b*tch after dumb b*tch after dumb b*tch. The respected one, Jamie Hayter, says she had the title stripped away from her and it’s eluded her ever since. And the uncertainty, Hikaru Shida, says even though it is every one for themselves, she knows she and Kris will be on the same page, just like always! Kris says y’know who really has her back? Kris herself! That’s all she needs! Jamie warns Thekla that she’s gonna find out, unfinished business is her favorite kind!

Thekla says Double or Nothing, the Toxic Spider destroys New York! A Fatal 4 Way of epic proportions await, will there be nothing left after the dust clears?

Backstage interview with Athena and Mina Shirakawa.

Lexy Nair is with the ROH Women’s World Champion and the Fighting Gravure Idol, and thanks them for accepting the No Physicality Agreement. They are on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Tournament, this has gotta be a tough one. Athena says maybe, maybe not, but the facts are this: Athena has been the ROH Women’s World Champion for over 1252 DAYS, and has left of dozens of bodies in her wake. Pretty sure Mina’s one of them. Mina says last year at All In, Athena broke Mina’s hand. Athena says so what! Last year at Death Before Dishonor, she kicked Mina’s ass all over the arena! Why does Mina think this match will be any different?

Mina laughs and says last night at Supercard, when she locked in the Figure Four on her opponent, she dreamt it was Athena. Athena says Mina is dreaming of her! So flattered! But she hopes Mina has the best dream tonight: Mina’s dead body in a ditch, next to her precious Toni Storm! Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. They argue, but Lexy keeps them from getting physical! Will the Fallen Goddess be unstoppable even in AEW? Or will The Owen will be about #MinaNow?

Backstage interview with Lio Rush.

Nigel McGuinness tracked down The Problem Child, and walks over. Lio says hey, Nigel! Good to see you! He saw Nigel put in that work last night, he did great. He did really good. Nigel appreciates that, that’s what he wants to talk about. Specifically, what happened between Lio and his former tag team partner, Action Andretti. Action cost Lio the ROH World TV Championship, what is Lio’s response? Lio says it’s all fine! It’s fine! These things happen, Nigel. Losses happen, friends get upset. It’s fine. It’s fine. Lio keeps saying that, and Nigel says that is the official response. Lio again says it’s good to see Nigel.

But then Lio takes off his sunglasses to show off those creepy eyes. He smiles, and that black goo drools out… Lio continues to say it’s fine, but is it anything but fine? Or should Action learn to sleep with one eye open?

Six Man Tag: Mark Davis & The Dogs VS The Rascalz!

Before they team up for Stadium Stampede, the AEW National Champion teams with David Finlay & Clark Connors to test their chemistry. Will Dunkzilla, The Rebel & 100 Proof sink their teeth into Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed? Or will The Rascalz light ’em up and smoke ’em in Salisbury?

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. Ace fires another forearm, Ospreay kicks, then Ace CHOPS! They go back and forth again, but Ace CHOPS and ROKCS, until Ospreay fires Kawada Kicks! CHOP! Ace HEEL KICKS! Ace shakes out the bad arm, runs up, but Ospreay dodges to then ROLLING ELBOW! And HOOK KICK! Then the underhooks for the STORM- NO, Ace pops free, then goes to a corner. Ospreay runs up but Ace goes sideways! Ospreay hits buckles, Ace hits the FLYING CHUCK!

The fans fire up as Ace shuffles the deck, and runs up for the0 NO, Ospreay BACKDROPS Ace, but Ace lands on his feet! HIDDEN BLADE!! Ospreay isn’t done with just one, he aims from the corner and… Ace flops over! The fans boo but Ospreay shows no mercy. He just runs up to PENALTY KICK the bad arm! Then a FLYING ARMBAR TAKEDOWN!! Ace TAPS, Ospreay wins!!

Winner: Will Ospreay, by submission

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

BREAKING NEWS for next week!

If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!

With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?

The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!

Windsor, Jamie & Shida all go to nine, then wind up for TEN! The fans cheer again while Thekla sputters. Jamie snap suplexes, but Skye ROCKS Shida! Jamie stomps Thekla, Windsor SLAMS Julia off barriers, and Jamie stomps a mudhole in the corner. The ref counts, Jamie lets off, but Skye and Windsor meet while tightrope walking the barriers! Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!

The fans fire up again and Thekla is feeling it while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!

Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!

Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.

Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!

Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!

Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!

Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification

The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!

The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?

AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!

They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?

The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!

Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.

Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.

Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!

The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.

Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!

The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!

The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!

The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!

Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10
