Willow Nightingale speaks.
The Double Champion Babe takes a moment before saying the deck is stacked against her tonight. She doesn’t even have to be pinned to lose her TBS Championship. But she knew that this comes with the territory of a double champion! So if it means being in Australia on Saturday and kicking ass with Harley Cameron, she’ll do it! Then she’ll fly all the way here to Sacramento and defend her title tonight! May the best woman win.
Megan Bayne speaks.
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: gold belongs with the All Elite Goddess.” The Megasus gives a wink, but will she make Mina, Wilow, and even Marina #BowDown to her?
Swerve Strickland speaks.
The Realest takes a moment before he says, “I need this. I need this.”
Kenny Omega speaks.
The Cleaner tells Swerve, “You’ve gotten in the way of what I want most: the Heavyweight Championship of the World. Which kinda means you’re in my way. And you’re gonna keep getting in my way until you’re not. That all changes tonight, Swerve, when I say goodbye, mwah goodnight, bang.” The Best Bout Machine battles the Most Dangerous Man in AEW, but who proves they’re next in line for the AEW World Championship?
Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy.
Renee Paquette is with Freshly Squeezed, bringing up how Roderick Strong betrayed him last week on Dynamite, then no-showed here tonight. Cassidy was supposed to have a match with Roddy tonight, is there a replacement for him? Cassidy says the good thing about The Conglomeration is that there’s a lot of them. So stepping in is Tomohiro Ishii! Okay, see ya. Cassidy and Stone Pitbull head out, will they get after the War Dogs for what they’ve been doing alongside the Death Riders?
AEW Continental Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley VS Mark Davis!
The Maniac survived The Alpha in Australia with that time limit draw, but now the Don Callis Family sends Dunkzilla! Will Davis make Moxley close his eyes and count to three? Or will no one get one over on Moxley?

Moxley staggers away, Davis hits the REBOUND- NO, Moxley wrenches through the lariat for the CUTTER! Both men are down and the fans fire back up! Moxley rises, he STOMPS Davis’ hand, then clamps on the SLEEPER! But Davis makes it a SAIDO! Both men go to corners, and both men rise to DOUBLE LARIAT!
Moxley runs to LARIAT Davis! Davis stays up so Moxley fires up. Davis BOOTS the lariat to run and LARIATS back! Davis roars, the fans boo, but he hauls Moxley up. AEW shares footage from after Grand Slam: Australia.
Hangman Page tells Andrade El Idolo, “I understand why they call you El Idolo. You are one of the best in the world. But tonight, it wasn’t good enough. And Max, I hope you were watching. Because I want you to understand will happen the next time that you try to kick me in the balls. I will ruin any idea that you have of a happy future, you understand me? Tonight, Max, you better pray to any God that you have that you don’t win. Because if you do, at Revolution, I am coming for you! I am coming for the World Championship, and I will END you to take it! Look into my eyes and know that I am telling the truth, Max. I will end you.”
The Millennial Cowboy put The Scumbag on notice, but we will see them meet face-to-face later tonight. The No Physicality Agreement is in effect, will they both respect it?
FTR & Stokely Hathaway are here!
Apparently Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood & #BigStoke aren’t scheduled for right now, but they don’t seem to care. What will the AEW World Tag Team Champions have to say for themselves? We’ll see, after the break.
Dynamite returns and FTR is in the ring. Dax has the mic to say that over the last week, he’s been wracking his brain why trying to understand why, in typical Young Bucks fashion, why Matt & Nick Jackson felt they had to come down to the ring, cheap shot Dax & Cash from behind, then scare Stokely. Then it dawned on Dax. In 2016, The Bucks were the best tag team in the world. The fans tell FTR to STFU but Dax says The Bucks were the best tag team in the world, and even coined the phrase “FTR.” Fast-forward ten years later, The Bucks are now sitting at second place to the ABSOLUTE BEST TEAM OF A GENERATION!
Stoke says the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again, and expecting a different result. That is where we are with Matt & Nick. Truth be told, it pisses Stoke off! But the other thing that pisses Stoke off that no one is talking about is how in that Triple Threat Tag, afterwards, The Bucks shook hands with The Rascalz and Private Party. Interesting, because wasn’t it a year ago when The Bucks tried to run Private Party outta this company!? But now, everything’s all good, because The Bucks are good. That is the fakeness that Stoke hates about AEW and all pro-wrestling!
If the people knew the amount of hatred FTR had for their coworkers, they’d be overwhelmed. At at the top of that list are Matt & Nick Jackson! And y’know who’s after them? Their mama, their father, and their little kiddies running around like domestic terrorists! The fans start cheering, but not for FTR & Stoke! It’s for The Bucks as they slip in from behind! FTR turns around into DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Stoke keeps ranting on saying that at the end of the day… Oh… The fans tell Stoke he done messed up. Stoke does his best to turn the chair around, and he tries to laugh it off. They were just kidding! They don’t have to do this.
The Bucks think about it, and they tell Stoke he’s right. But the fans want superkicks! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS and down goes Stoke! Nick & Matt pick up the belts and the mics, and Nick says they are indeed #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships! The fans cheer, and Nick says how about we have the match at REVOLUTION!? The fans like that! The Bucks have called their shot, will there be a Superkick Party in Los Angeles? Or can the Top Guys find a way to survive in the City of Angels?
AEW shares more footage from after Grand Slam: Australia.
Brody King & Bandido sit in the back. Brody’s knee is being iced while he says after all they’ve been through… Brody was that close. THAT CLOSE! But y’know what? Brody can taste it. Congrats, Max, you weaseled your way into another win. But Brody won’t sit around feeling sorry for himself. Bring the biggest, bring the baddest! February 25th, Brody gets back in the title hunt and he’s looking for a fight! The King of Death wants back in the game, but who will meet him on the road to Revolution?
AEW TBS Championship Fatal 4 Way: Willow Nightingale VS Megan Bayne VS Marina Shafir VS Mina Shirakawa!
The Babe with the Power said it herself that she’ll take on all comers in both divisions, but this might be excessive. She faces the Megasus, the Problem, and the Fighting Gravure Idol all at once, but can she survive the odds? Or will numbers spell disaster for Willow here in Sacramento?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is truly the Face of TBS!
The bell rings and the former #MEGAPROBLEMS look ready to work together. They feel out a grapple, then Marina and Megan DECK Mina and Willow! Megan whips Willow corner to corner, then Marina runs up to LARIAT! Marina fires body shots, then whips Willow into Megan’s LARIAT! The fans fire up as Willow then goes to the apron, and she CANNONBALLS Megan & Marina! The Mega Problems are down and the fans fire up! Willow gets them up, and Mina is up top! SUPER DUPER CROSSBODY! Mina wipes everyone out and the fans are loving it! Mina puts Marina in, then goes up the ropes to SLINGSHOT TORNILLOW! Cover, TWO! Mina stays focused as she brings Marina up. Marina CLUBS Mina, CHPOS and CHOPOS and CHOPS, then SHOVES her out. Willow is back in and she CLUBS Marina! But Megan CLUBS Willow! Megan stands Marina up, but Willow DOUBLE CHOPS, then DOUBLE CODE BREAKERS!
Megan and Marina go to corners, Willow BACK BODY BLOCKS Megan then LARIATS Marina! Willow sends Marina into Megan for a DOUBLE SPLASH! Then she sends Megan at Marina, but Marina sends Megan back at Willow! Marina fires body shots, then she puts Willow up. Willow SLAPS Marina, but Megan ROCKS Willow! Megan goes up, up, and SUPER STEINERS! The fans fire up for that one! Then Marina tiger feint SPIKES Willow on the apron! Megan has Mina in a fireman’s carry, then she turns it into a gorilla press THROW out onto Marina and Willow! The fans fire up while Megan brushes herself off, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Megan storms out and drags Mina up from the pile. Megan puts Mina in the ring, Marina stomps Willow, and Megan steps on Mina for a cocky cover. TWO, but Megan drags Mina up. Megan short arm LARIATS, then short arm LARIATS again! And again! Marina joins in as she stands Mina up for a SAYANAGI! Marina grinds Mina down for a cover, but Megan breaks it! Allies or not, this is every woman for herself. Megan SMACKS Mina off buckles, RAMS her in again and again, then lets Marina have a turn. Marina fires body shots, then SCRAPES Mina along the ropes! Marina sends Mina to Megan for the suplex and FALCON ARROW! Cover, but Willow breaks it!
Marina storms up on Willow to clinch and fire body shots. Marina KNEES low, then SAYANAGIS! Marina grabs the legs, ties them up, and drops an elbow into the deathlock! Willow endures, but she turns over. Marina cartwheels through the boot and PENALTY KICKS! Megan puts Willow on the ropes to bend her back! Marina joins in so they can CLUB and KICK away on Willow! And they don’t have to stop because no disqualifications! Willow still fights free, but Megan kicks low! Willow fights the suplex to suplex, but Megan fights that! Dynamite returns to single picture as they go back and forth, and Willow suplexes Megan up and over!
The fans fire up, but Marina kick sand whips Willow to a corner. Willow ELBOWS her away, then dodges, and Mina runs up! Marina dodges but then Mina dodges back! FLYING CHUCK! Megan runs up but into a SOBAT! Minta uses Megan to POMMEL SPLASH onto Marina! Cover, but Mina moves so that Megan’s SENTON hits Marina! Mina whips, Megan reverses, but Mina hits the SLINGBLADE! The fans fire up behind Mina as she covers, but Willow breaks it! The fans are torn, but Willow has to save her reign. Willow whips Marina to SPINEBUSTER her! But then Megan scoops Willow! Willow slips free, shoves, and SPINEBUSTERS!
The fans fire up again, and Willow gives Mina a SPINEBUSTER for good measure! The straps come down, Willow covers Mina, but Marina breaks it! Willow CHOPS Marina! Megan CLUBS Willow! Mina ROLLING ELBOWS Megan! Mina fires fast hands on Marina, then SOBATS! Marina says DO BETTER! Then she CHOPS! Mina URAKENS back! Megan and Willow LARIAT them down! The fans fire up as now Willow and Megan DOUBLE LARIAT! And DOUBLE LARIAT! Megan dodges, Willow dodges, but DOUBLE LARIATS take them down! The fans fire up again while all four women are down around ringside!
Willow drags Megan up, fires forearms, but Megan fires back! Willow fires back, then wrenches to fireman’s carry! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Marina is up, she catches Willow to an URENAGE! Mina gets Marina for a DDT! But Megan FLYING LARIATS Mina! Mina bails out while Megan roars! Megan builds speed and DIVES! Direct hit and everyone is down on the outside! Megan then puts Mina in the ring, but Marina CLUBS her! “This is Awesome!” as now the Mega Problems have it out with forearms! Marina KICKS away on Megan, but Megan gest under! POWERBOMB on the timekeeper’s table!
Megan goes back to the ring, she steps on Mina, and she goes up the corner! But Willow CLUBS Megan first! Willow climbs up behind Megan to SUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Megan flounders, but now Mina is up top! Mina aims at Willow, MISSILE DROPKICK! Mina hurries to get Willow up, ROLLING ELBOW! DREAM SMASHER ELBOW! BUZZSAW! And then the URAKEN!! Mina has the legs, she steps through, FIGURE- CRADLE COUNTER!! WILLOW WINS!
Winner: Willow Nightingale, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)
Even Willow surprises herself, but she pulls victory from the jaws of defeat! Mina is shocked, but she still shows Willow respect. Megan is furious, Marina is hurting, but will they come back for another chance at this title soon enough?
AEW mourns the loss of Kerwin Silfies.
A great man and amazing director in pro-wrestling, always calm under pressure, and very kind and patient. Even Bryan Danielson tears up, because Kerwin was so kind and helpful during Bryan’s time in the WWE. A great man who will be missed by all.
Hangman Page is here!
Sacramento cheers as the Millennial Cowboy goes to the ring for his No Physicality Allowed face-to-face with MJF. And without delay, the Scumbag AEW World Champion makes his entrance. The fans are torn as he goes to the ring, and the two stare down. They each get a mic, but the fans boo as MJF goes first. “I wanna make something real clear here. I’m not gonna cut some cutesy wrasslin’ promo to sell tickets. This ain’t no infomercial for Revolution. This is a fact: I hate your guts.” The fans boo, but MJF says he hates everything about Hangman! How he looks, how he walks, how he talks, how he wrestles, and how he has that white knight, holier than thou BS!
MJF hates the fact that these “dumb, ignorant, White trash hicks actually think that you are anywhere near my level in any category in this sport. I hate the fact that they have the gall to call YOU the main character, when clearly it’s ME!” The fans boo more, but MJF says he also hates the fact the fans feel the need to chant “Cowboy S*it” the second Hangman shows up. But most of all, MJF hates the fact that Hangman holds two wins over him, and that makes MJF wanna puke. Hangman is not better than MJF! Not even close! What Hangman is a lucky shot. But MJF sees something that the idiots can’t. He smells it on Hangman.
MJF steps closer to say he sees it in Hangman’s eyes. “Something’s off about you, Hangy!” MJF isn’t sure what it is. Maybe Hangman’s in his head cuz his two boyfriends, Kenny and Swerve, are fighting. Maybe Hangman is in his head cuz he has had the opportunity to be at the top of the mountain where everyone dreams to be, twice! He has had the opportunity to hold the title everyone dreams to have, twice! Hangman has had the opportunity to be “The Guy” in AEW, twice! And both times, Hangman crumbled under the pressure.
The fans boo, but MJF says maybe Hangman is wondering if he wins a third time and crumbles again, will everyone realize Hangman has always been nothing more than a fraud? Who’s to say? But what MJF knows is this: The man he is looking in the eye right now is NOT the man he faced last year at Revolution. But tell you what, Cowboy, you are a lucky shot, but MJF thinks you’re all outta bullets. And lucky MJF, because on his birthday, March 15th, he can’t think of a better gift in the world than finally ending the myth that is Hangman Adam Page and his Cowboy S*it! The fans boo, but then they chant for “COWBOY S*IT!”
MJF frowns as he paces, but now Hangman speaks. “Between the two of us, I am the lucky shot? Me? The man who was so undeniable that these people carried me to the world championship twice! The man who last year, not once but twice, beat the absolute dog s*it outta you! No, if there is a lucky shot in the ring tonight, it’s the man who had a guaranteed chance at the world championship, and who took it home, sat with it, waited for it until we were in front of one of the largest crowds we’ve ever seen, returned with a new head of hair thicker than Mark Davis, inserted himself into the match between three men who already hated each other…!
“Who waited on the floor, picking his ass, and waited until the last second, slid in the ring, kicked me in the balls, and collected the spoils of greater men.” The fans cheer that! Hangman knows Max hates him, but he hates Max so much worse! And it’s not because of any of that, of all the years of lying, cheating, the depravity of both his words and his actions. Despite all of that, Hangman hates MJF because Hangman has to admit that he has never met someone more like him. The fans and even MJF are confused by that. Hangman says MJF’s desperation for love and acceptance, Hangman is no better, and he hates that.
Hangman knows how much MJF wants to make his mark here, and how loyal he is to AEW. It feels just like Hangman! And as much as everyone, EVERYONE, wants the championship, MJF and Hangman have always needed it. Hangman says at Revolution, he wants to end this once and for all. And he thinks MJF knows, he can feel it, that this just can’t be a normal match, can it? MJF feels it, MJF knows it, so why not think up a stipulation? Think on it, pitch it, let Hangman hear it, because Hangman has always known what this should be. And once they decide, then let the fans decide what this should be!
MJF is now laughing. The fans?! Let them help decide?! The fans are chanting any number of things, and MJF says he hears “Texas Death.” The fans cheer, but he tells them to shut up! If Hangman thinks for one second they’re doing anything but a real, normal, professional wrestling match for MJF’s world title, then Hangman is out of his damn mind. The fans boo, but Hangman says he figured MJF would say that. MJF’s scared. MJF has always been a coward, and he knows what this could mean for him. So if Max agrees to this, Hangman will give MJF something. MJF is intrigued as Hangman says he will give MJF his word.
Hangman will give all of the fans his word. If Hangman does not win, then Hangman will NEVER challenge for the AEW World Championship for as long as he LIVES! The fans are going nuts, but MJF is heavily intrigued. MJF says, “You’ve got yourself a deal, Cowboy. But as far as my stipulation goes, unlike all these morons, I think things through.” The fans boo that, but MJF says he’ll need a week to think this over. Because unlike Hangman, MJF doesn’t shoot first and ask questions later. Hangman says fine, think it over, because he already knows his answer. Revolution, MJF VS Hangman Page, TEXAS DEATH!!
The fans cheer that while MJF looks afraid for his life already! What will MJF choose in hopes of countering that hot hand? Is there anything that can beat Texas Death?
The Death Riders regroup backstage.
Jon Moxley says, “The strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack. I don’t really like wolves. No, they’re too needy. We’re more like coyotes: resilient, adaptable, against all odds, against the worlds, survivors.” Pac tells the Don Callis Family that they are not like the Death Riders. They’re very different. So if they really continue to test this… Well, the Death Riders like to fight. So Saturday Night Collision, Oceanside, gather yourselves together. Pac guarantees, they will not be hard to find. Daniel Garcia adds that for Don Callis, “Family” is just a title, a means. It is not something they are willing to live for, and definitely not something they’re willing to die for.
Moxley steps back in and says he is not done with Takeshita. They ain’t done. Moxley won’t walk away from this. Revolution, LA, and this time… NO time limit! One way or another, either Takeshita gets Mox or Mox gets Takeshita. But there must be a winner, as long as it takes! Moxley heads back out, having thrown down the gauntlet! Will the Alpha be ready to go the distance with The Maniac one more time?
Orange Cassidy & Tomohiro Ishii VS Gabe Kidd & Clark Connors!
The Conglomeration tried to make Roderick Strong feel included, but he never ever tried to accept that, and it all came to a head last week. Now with the Stone Pitbull by his side, can Freshly Squeezed focus on getting even with these War Dogs? Or will the Mad Man & 100 Proof just add insult to injury?
The teams sort out, and Gabe starts against Cassidy. The fans rally up behind Cassidy, and he puts his hands up while Gabe gears up. Gabe runs up but Cassidy dodges! And goes Matrix to avoid a chop! The fans cheer while Cassidy leans against the ropes. Gabe eggs Cassidy on, but Cassidy tags Ishii! Ishii steps to Gabe, these two no strangers from battling in NJPW. They circle, but then Connors CLOBBERS Ishii! The fans boo but Connors bumps Ishii off buckles. Gabe CHOPS Ishii, the fans “WOO~,” and Connors tags in. Connors CHOPS again, then CHOPS again! Connors brings Ishii around to ROCK, UPPERCUT, then CHOP! Ishii just stands up tall!
The fans cheer Ishii as he stares Connors down. Connors winds up to CHOP again, and again, and again, but Ishii doesn’t budge! Ishii then CHOPS, and CHOPS, and CHOPS again! Connors stumbles to the corner, Ishii tags Cassidy, and the fans cheer as Ishii CHOPS and Cassidy “Chops!” CHOP! “Chop.” CHOP! Then DOUBLE DOUBLE CHOP! The fans cheer while Cassidy covers, TWO! Connors is in this, but Gabe distracts Cassidy. Connors RAMS Cassidy into the corner! Connors backs off but Cassidy elbows Gabe and BOOTS Connors! Cassidy ELBOWS Gabe again, dodges Connors, then comes back, only to be put on the apron!
Cassidy blocks a shot, SMACKS Connors off buckles, then goes up for the CROSSBODY! The fans fire up as things keep moving, Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges to DIVE on Gabe! But Gabe catches Cassidy, RAMS him into the apron, and CHOPS him down! Connors BLASTS Ishii down, slides out the side, and Gabe hits an EXPLODER to the floor! Cassidy staggers up, into the JEEP FLIPPER! Then Gabe keeps moving and he CLOBBERS Ishii! The fans boo the War Dogs while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Connors & Gabe soak up the heat while Cassidy sputters on the outside. Cassidy rolls in at 6 of 10, and Connors kicks him around. Connors goes to a corner, runs up, and CLOBBERS Cassidy! Connors soaks up more heat while Cassidy flounders around. Connors runs up and CLOBBERS Cassidy again! Cassidy tumbles to the corner but Connors brings him up. Connors whips Cassidy to the corner, tags Gabe, and Gabe CHOPS! Cassidy drops to his knees while Gabe flexes and taunts Ishii. Connors CHOKES Cassidy while the ref is busy with Gabe and Ishii! Gabe drags Cassidy up, suplexes, but Cassidy cradle counters! TWO, and Gabe CHOPS Cassidy down! Cover, TWO!
Gabe barks, then paces around before he tags Connors. Connors stalks Cassidy, and he mockingly puppets Cassidy’s arms to put them in the pockets. Connors then mocks the fans cheering Cassidy on while he lines up a shot. Dynamite returns to single picture as Connors runs up, but Cassidy SHOTGUNS him down! The fans fire up while both men are down! Cassidy teetertotters into the kip up! Hot tag to Ishii and Gabe! They RAM shoulders, then CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP! The fans fire up as the CHOPS keep going, and the fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Gabe BITES Ishii’s forehead!
The ref reprimands but Gabe CHOPS Ishii! Gabe runs, RAMS Ishii, but Ishii stays up! They both roar, and Ishii CHOPS! Gabe roars again, but Ishii dodges to run and CLOBBER Gabe! The fans fire up for Ishii as he storms back up on Gabe. Ishii suplexes, Gabe fights it, and Gabe wrenches to UPPERCUT! Ishii SLAPS, Gabe SLAPS, and it is a SLAP fight! The fans fire up as the SLAPS keep going! Gabe and Ishii both SLAP, then Ishii ROCKS Gabe! Gabe hits the COMEBACKER! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Gabe crawls, tags Connors, and Connors runs the ropes, only for Ishii to fall! The ref checks Ishii as Ishii clutches his leg.
Connors stands Ishii up, runs, and LARIATS him back down! Cover, TWO! Ishii toughs it out but that leg is still bothering him. Connors drags Ishii up, reels him in, and NO CHA- NO! Ishii wrenches out of that to SAIDO!! Connors sputters while Ishii rises! Ishii manages to run, but Gabe SWATS the lariat, then CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! Gabe runs, but into a LARIAT! Connors runs up, Ishii dodges, but he runs into the SNAP POWERSLAM! Cassidy is back, and he ducks ‘n’ dodges to then tilt-o-whirl DDT! Cassidy kips up to then DIVE onto Gabe! Ishii gets Connors up, but Connors fights free! Connors CLAWS the eyes!
Connors smothers Ishii while Gabe CHOPS Cassidy! And BOOTS him against railing! Gabe hops the railing, drags Cassidy over, but DARBY ALLIN IS HERE! He CRACKS Gabe with the skateboard! Now Darby abducts Gabe like he did Connors last week! Ishii ROCKS Connors, Cassidy ORANGE PUNCHES him! Ishii suplexes Connors for the BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, Conglomeration wins!
Winners: Orange Cassidy & Tomohiro Ishii, by pinfall
The Stone Pitbull didn’t get that nickname for nothing! He grit his teeth and powered through to win, but will it be a pyrrhic victory for The Conglomeration? As for Gabe, what will the Relentless One do to him as payback for being literally deserted?
The Don Callis Family is again beating down randos!
Josh Alexander looks into the camera as he says they’re back at it! Guess what! Moxley wants to try and call them out? The Death Riders wanna fight? Well guess what?! They accept! The Don Callis Family will see them all at Collision! Don himself steps in and stomps one of the randos before telling Moxley that he heard the challenge for Takeshita. And Takeshita isn’t here tonight, he’s celebrating with Kyle Fletcher back in Australia. So on behalf of Takeshita, Callis accepts! Kazuchika Okada steps in now and says HE is Kyle’s best friend. Okada could be celebrating with him. But instead, he showed up to do his job as a champion, unlike Takeshita.
But this man… Andrade El Idolo steps in! The uncrowned world champion! Andrade says, “Chicos y chicas. My eyes are on the AEW World Title.” Callis warns Claudio Castagnoli. He’s walking around here with that CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, and Callis just got to thinking. The CMLL World Championship would look incredible on the mantle of the Don Callis Family! What do they think? The family all cheers! Muy bueno! Rocky Romero says viva la Don Callis Familia! ARIBA~! But then, who will step up to the Swiss Cyborg in hopes of taking his gold?
Hook speaks.
“As you know, Samoa Joe is unfortunately injured, and decided to appoint me the new boss of The Opps. And my first order of business is to get our numbers up. The Opps are recruiting. You don’t see Shibata here with me. That’s because I sent him back to his home country of Japan to handle our international recruiting, I’ll be handling our domestic recruiting. Y’see, I know how to recruit. I was recruited by every top Division I program in this country, cuz I was great. And I still am great. I’m the greatest second generation wrestler of all time. I’m also the boss of the Opps.” The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil is looking, what diamonds in the rough will he find?

Backstage interview Kris Statlander and Thunder Rosa.
Renee Paquette is excited to be with two former AEW Women’s World Champions, especially the returning La Mera Mera. But they’ve both asked for this time, so let’s start with Kris. She is clearly not done with Thekla, but after that insane Strap match, she is not cleared to compete for at least another week. Kris admits to that, but that’s for being cleared to wrestle. She doesn’t wanna wrestle, she wants to FIGHT! Thekla needs to pay what she did to Kris! That is, if she’s not too busy hiding from her. And as for Rosa, she hasn’t been back since All In: Texas, but she just got cleared today! Rosa says yes, she was bad for a little while but she is finally 100%.
And with that, Rosa’s seen what these “children” have done to Kris and does not like it at all. While Kris isn’t cleared, Rosa is more than ready. Rosa warns Thekla that she’s gonna see her soon enough! Kris tells Rosa that Thekla’s dangerous, so Rosa should watch her back. Rosa says yeah, she knows, but she’s feeling the best she’s ever been. And plus, her heart is just as toxic! When and where will Thunder strike the Toxic Spider?

Mortos stops, and Knight gets up to throw hands! Dynamite returns to single picture as Knight fires more shots, but tries to scoop!?

Knight kips up and the fans fire up! Knight gets Mortos for the scoop! And then the SLAM! The fans fire up again as Knight hits the UFO SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Winner: Kevin Knight, by pinfall
The Jet proves he can fly high, and that clears the way for Hangman Page to focus on MJF. Will any team prove they can keep up with #JetSetRodeo?
The Demand speaks.
Ricochet says, “Hello to all my #FrequenFlyers out there, this is your captain speaking. And now that I have finally put Jack Perry into the dirt and have the AEW National Championship on lock, I can finally move on to more important issues that need to be addressed. Like The Demand and getting my guys more championship gold. And hey, hey, hey, hey. Just like we saw, Kevin Knight got lucky and he beat Beast Mortos.” Bishop Kaun says that is what pisses him off so much! Where do their priorities lie? Kevin’s having singles matches, Speedball, too. And Hangman is facing MJF for the AEW World Championship?
The champs haven’t even defended those titles since they won them! Toa Liona says allow The Demand to be the ones to take those titles. JetSpeed, every time you’ve faced The Demand in a trios match, the end result is Demand up! And since Kevin is so eager to defend the titles, The Demand will gladly accept. This Saturday, San Diego, you will be in deep waters, bleeding out with three SHARKS surrounding you! Liona can smell it, and he can TASTE it! Ricochet calms Liona down and tells Jet Set Rodeo not to worry, because they won’t have that stupid name for much longer. This Saturday, The Demand takes the titles. AHA~!
The One & Only leads the Gates back to their locker room, but there’s a knife stuck in the nametag! W-What the Hell? When did…? Jungle Jack has issued a warning, but The Demand doesn’t seem to take it seriously. Will Ricochet, Kaun & Liona grab even more gold on the road to Revolution?

The fans are torn while Omega rises up. Omega reels Swerve in for the SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! And the V-TRIGGER! Cover, TWO! Swerve survives that shot but Omega nods, this is Swerve Strickland we’re talking about here. Omega drags Swerve up, hushes the fans, then V-TRIGGERS Swerve point-blank! Swerve sputters but Omega reloads, V-TRIGGER POINT-BLANK! Omega asks Swerve if he wants that again, and Swerve says bring it! V- NO!! Swerve blocks it, then slips around, BACKBREAKER! And DROPKICK! Omega tumbles out to the apron, and Swerve snarls as he steps out to join him.
Swerve brings Omega up, bumps him off buckles, then does it again! And again! And again, and again, and again! Fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Swerve dribbles Omega off more buckles, but he stops as the ref counts. Swerve brings Omega up again, and he has the Inverted Gory Especial! But Omega slips free! Omega SMACKS Swerve off buckles, then full nelsons! Nana panics but Swerve holds onto ropes! Omega CLUBS away on Swerve’s neck, then APRON SNAP DRAGON SUPLEXES!! Swerve says he needed this! Swerve NEEDED this! He needed to destroy Kenny Omega?! What does the relapse into this Swerve Strickland mean for all of AEW?
My Thoughts:
This was an awesome Dynamite, but even then they still had a lot more talking than needed, and they really leaned into the overrun. I still don’t like them doing cold open promos, but at least they hyped up tonight’s main event and the last minute TBS title match they gave us. That was still a great match, but I had a feeling Willow would find a way to win. I feel like Marina and/or Megan will come back around to face Willow at Revolution, because otherwise, this seemed like a waste of great contenders for the TBS title. Very good promo from Kris and Rosa, especially to show Rosa has returned. Rosa will have great matches with the various Triangle of Madness members, and she might even earn herself a title match with Thekla before Kris gets her rematch.
While Hook may not be a Dominik Mysterio in terms of mic work, I really appreciate that he’s making the move I wanted them to in recruiting new members to The Opps. Samoa Joe is hurt, Will Hobbs is now in WWE as Royce Keys, and I think Shibata returning to Japan is because of visas, but hey, maybe he brings a NJPW Young Lion or two so that their excursion coincides with this story. As for the “domestic” side of the recruiting, I still say it should be some ROH stars moving up to AEW to get some TV time. Not sure who that’d be, because I kinda skip a lot of the matches where those rising stars are getting time on Honor Club…
MJF and Hangman had a great promo themselves, but in typical MJF promo fashion, it maybe went a couple minutes longer than it needed to, which is why the show needed the overrun (again). But hey, between Hangman teasing we’ll get Texas Death at Revolution and even invoking the spirit of AEW Cody Rhodes and his “all or nothing” stipulation, we’re going to have an amazing match at the PPV. At the same time, I would think Hangman wins, right? There’s no way AEW pulls the same move twice after how Cody kinda ruined his own run by blocking himself from the world title.
Great opening match from Moxley VS Davis, especially with how Davis busted his hand open on the post. Moxley of course won that, but then great promo from Death Riders and a great response promo from Don Callis Family. Granted, Don Callis Family beating up more randos is getting a little old. But hey, we’re getting a Moxley VS Takeshita Continental title rematch, we’re probably getting Claudio VS Alexander for the CMLL title, and we could even get a Six Man Tag of Pac, Garcia, and Bald Yuta VS any three leftover members from DCF on the side. While Claudio likely retains against Alexander, Takeshita might finally get that Continental title at Revolution.
Great tag match from Cassidy & Ishii VS Connors & Gabe, with the kayfabe behind it being Roddy stayed home. Hopefully Ishii didn’t legit injure his leg, but that was still a good win for Ishii & Cassidy. Also, Darby of course went after Gabe in a rehash from last week’s moment with Connors. A little surprised we didn’t get more from that tonight, but maybe Collision shows new on-location footage of Darby leaving Gabe somewhere. Darby still needs a teammate if he’s gonna fight Connors & Gabe like this, I’m just not sure who that’ll be. Like, who else in AEW has beef with Gabe & Connors? Who outside of AEW does that also has time to come over here from like NJPW?
The FTR promo with The Bucks getting the drop on them again was a little redundant but also really fun with how it was filmed. But duh, we’re getting their match at Revolution. Why not just have announced the match last time and then tonight could’ve been something new? Knight VS Mortos was good stuff, but with LFI still not even three strong (Rush and Dralistico are each still recovering from injuries), Mortos wasn’t going to win them a trios title match. Good promo from The Demand to call JetSetRodeo out, but do we really need more Jack Perry stalking Ricochet? Jack should’ve just won the title last time so that he could be going to NJPW and CMLL.
Great TV debut for The Brawling Birds as a team, though apparently they got their first match in on Sunday for House Rules: Australia. Viva Van & B3CCA got a lot better showing than expected, but I suppose that just helps Jamie & Alex look even better. Depending on when Heels take the tag titles off Willow & Harley, I would think the Birds get the next shot. And then, we got just an amazing main event from Omega VS Swerve. That bordered on PPV level, and kudos to both Aubrey and Turner for taking those bumps. Swerve winning was great, but the surprise was his vicious Heel turn. I wonder if this foreshadows Hangman winning at Revolution so that he and Swerve can run it back at Dynasty in April.

The Death Riders speak.
It was after AEW Dynamite on Wednesday that Jon Moxley said, “Every time I step into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, I can’t find a way to win. It’s been failure after failure after failure. Kyle O’Reilly has tapped me out, twice. Ipso facto, Kyle O’Reilly will be the new Continental Champion. You might think. But the Jon Moxley of six months ago is not the same as Jon Moxley of today. Who I will be tomorrow is better than who I am today. Logic and strategy would dictate that I should stay as far away from Kyle O’Reilly as I can. Because there’s no doubt about it, Kyle, you have my number.
The thing about this Continental Championship, it’s good bait. All the dragons I wanna slay come right to my door. I will do what I’ve done for 22 years surviving in this business, Kyle: I’m gonna find a way.” The Maniac heads out, and Claudio Castagnoli steps forward to tell Brody King that Brody always brings the bark. But if he steps in the ring with Claudio in the Owen Hart Tournament, he better bring the bite. Pac then says, “Nobody gets special treatment. It doesn’t matter who you are, Death Riders against the world.” Daniel Garcia says yeah, let’s get it! Yuta repeats, “Against the world.” Marina Shafir tells the world, “Bring it, you p*ssies!”
AEW World Trios Championship Eliminator: The Conglomeration VS Lee Moriarty & The Infantry w/ Shane Taylor Promotions!
Well speaking of Kyle O’Reilly, he, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Mark Briscoe are going to put STP to the test! #TAIGASTYLE is still ROH Pure Champion, but Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo are upset after losing the ROH World Six Man Tag titles. Will STP take out their frustrations as they rumble, bad man, rumble? Or will the Violent Artist, Freshly Squeezed & Sussex County Chicken simply send #THEM home emptyhanded?
The trios sort out and Briscoe steps up against #BadNews&Tattoos. The fans are behind Briscoe as he and Bravo circle. They approach, Bravo kicks low, and he flips everyone off. The fans boo, Bravo headlocks, but Briscoe powers up, out, and headlocks in return. Bravo powers up and out but Briscoe RUNS him over! The fans cheer, and Briscoe runs. Bravo drops down, hurdles, but Briscoe hits a crane stance! Bravo says that’s stupid! But Briscoe ducks Bravo’s punch to UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Bravo reverses to ROCK Briscoe! The forearms go back and forth, Briscoe fires a flurry, but Bravo CLAWS Briscoe’s face!
Bravo runs, but Briscoe winds up to UPPERCUT! The fans cheer the Redneck Kung-Fu! Lee tags in and hits his tiger stance. But then Kyle calls to Briscoe, and Briscoe tags Kyle! The fans cheer as Kyle and Lee tie up, go around, and Kyle wrenches. Lee wrenches, slips through, and waistlocks. They go around, Lee switches but Kyle has the arm. Kyle arm-drags Lee down, double wristlock, but Lee fights around. Kyle body scissors, rolls to the cover, TWO! The fans fire up as the two go again, knuckle lock, and Lee headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, Lee goes up and around, but Kyle does the same to slide under.
Lee ducks a kick, then wheelbarrows to victory roll, then EURO CLUTCH! TWO! Kyle is up, Lee backs off, and the fans cheer the exchange. Lee points to Nigel McGuinness, wanting him to remember the Euro Clutch did him in the last time they faced off. Kyle storms up on Lee, Lee headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. Lee RUNS Kyle, keeps moving, but Kyle drops down. Lee sunset flips but Kyle stays up! Kyle shakes his head, drops down into the ARMBAR, but here comes The Infantry! Briscoe & Cassidy intercept Dean & Bravo, fire off hands in corners, and Kyle shifts to an ANKLE LOCK! But Lee reels Kyle into a headlock.
Briscoe & Cassidy TOSS The Infantry, then go out after them. Lee waistlocks, Kyle fires elbows, and Kyle climbs up in the corner. The fans count along as Kyle goes all the way to TEN! Tag to Briscoe, he climbs up, and he rains down fists! Briscoe goes all the way to TEN, then he tags Cassidy! The fans fire up again as Cassidy winds up, climbs up, and rains down ONE! Will Ospreay speaks.
It was also after Dynamite that The Aerial Assassin told Samoa Joe, “My apologies for not getting back to any of your messages, been a little bit busy training and getting myself ready for The Owen. Surprised to see you there in the opening round, mate. It’s gonna be a tough one. But if you can just bear with me for a hot second while I explain to you… Six months of my life got taken away from me, mate. Six months, I’ve been sitting in front of a TV screen, watching AEW, looking at it, trying to get my strength back in my arms, rushing to get back. That’s six months of frustration, six months of anger. And then I finally had my kill shot on Dynasty, and I lost.
“And ever since then, man, I’ve been struggling with my matches. Doc even stopped one for my own safety. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get revenge on Jon. But I’m more upset at the idea that I can’t be the guy that AEW put their trust in once upon a time. Regardless of how I feel about Jon, regardless of how I feel about The Death Riders, there’s nothing that I can say that’ll make people ever understand. But Jon Moxley is the Ace, he’s a soldier for this place. And while his methods might be sick, there are people who stand up to see him get elevated. So what could it happen with him in my corner?
“Joe, I’ve got nothing but respect for ya. Everything that you’ve done in this industry. Mate, you were in the match that made me want to become a pro-wrestler. But no one, no one, is stopping me from winning The Owen. And I find it very poetic that the man takt took away my old life has given me a second chance of capturing the world championship.” The Billy Goat is ready to become something more, but will Samoa Joe make sure Ospreay goes Double or Nothing and loses?

Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.
Lexy Nair is with The Spanish God and brings up how he called out Darby Allin just last night at Supercard of Honor for the AEW World Championship. But just like last night, Sammy hushes “Chica” Lexy, and says, “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk, so zip it and listen. Darby, I don’t need to call my shot against you because I looked through the history books, and history’s on my side. I’ve beaten you not once, not twice, not three times, I’ve beaten you four times. When I look at the history books, I’m a three-time TNT Champion while you, you’ve only held that belt twice.
“So I’m gonna beat you tonight like I’ve beaten you before. I’m gonna stamp my ticket to Double or Nothing, and MJF, I know you’re watching, you sociopath. I’m gonna beat you next week and I’m gonna shave you BALD! But don’t worry, I’ll give you a nice little fade. Because I am the best! I am the best wrestler, I am the best talker, I am the best this planet has! I’m the Spanish God, dammit! I’m number one, I’ve been here since day one, and there’s only one way this is gonna go: With me as the NEW AEW World Champion! Darby, your time is up, and my time is now. Because I am Numero Uno. That means ‘number one.'”
Sammy heads out, but is his big head only going to get in the way tonight?
Backstage interview with Darby Allin.
Collision returns and Lexy is now with said AEW World Champion. She brings up the five title defenses in 21 days, an AEW record! But tonight is number six against someone Darby’s known for a long time in Sammy Guevara. Darby says when he showed up today, he asked if anyone had seen MJF yet. Then he thought, “What a stupid question. Of course he’s not gonna be at Collision.” MJF is not a company man, he only cares about himself. And those same people asked back, why is Darby back? Why is Darby defending his title again? Double or Nothing is next Sunday, why is Darby risking losing this? Because Darby loves this!
And if there’s anyone in this company as crazy as Darby, it is Sammy Guevara. Darby loves it! Darby realizes this could all end tonight, and Speedball wants his match on Wednesday? Well, if Darby walks out here tonight, then on Dynamite, it’s Showtime! Darby thanks Lexy then heads back out. Will the Relentless Reign be an unstoppable one? Lexy Nair is with the ROH Women’s World Champion and the Fighting Gravure Idol, and thanks them for accepting the No Physicality Agreement. Mina tells Athena that Mina has dreamt of winning The Owen and the AEW Women’s World title, while ending Athena! She can’t dream anymore, because now she will live it! Athena says sure, sure. Lio keeps saying that, and Nigel says that is the official response. Lio again says it’s good to see Nigel.
But then Lio takes off his sunglasses to show off those creepy eyes. He smiles, and that black goo drools out… Lio continues to say it’s fine, but is it anything but fine? Or should Action learn to sleep with one eye open?

Before they team up for Stadium Stampede, the AEW National Champion teams with David Finlay & Clark Connors to test their chemistry. Will Dunkzilla, The Rebel & 100 Proof sink their teeth into Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed? Or will The Rascalz light ’em up and smoke ’em in Salisbury?

MJF arrives backstage.
Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?
10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!
While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?
Ricochet & The Demand respond.
They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!
JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. You see, you’re built like an Australia grizzly bear, yet you still needed somebody to hit me in the back with a golf club for you to beat me. At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. And in the Owen Hart Tournament, I will prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m a better wrestler than you. I am the FUTURE world champion!
“And if you don’t like that, F YOU!” Jungle Jack is sharpening his knife, but will his edge be razor sharp when it comes time to cut down Dunkzilla?

Then he LARIATS again and again! Ace hoists Ospreay up top, then slips outside to ENZIGIRI! Ospreay wobbles, Ace gets space, and Ace runs up! FLIPPING RANA! The fans fire up as Ace is ready to deal the winning hand! But then Ospreay pops Ace up, and gets him in position! STYLES- NO, Ace pops free!

Ace TAPS, Ospreay wins!!
Winner: Will Ospreay, by submission
That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?
BREAKING NEWS for next week!
If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!
Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.
Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?
AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!
Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.
Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.
But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?
Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!
With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?
The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!
Windsor, Jamie & Shida all go to nine, then wind up for TEN! The fans cheer again while Thekla sputters. Jamie snap suplexes, but Skye ROCKS Shida! Jamie stomps Thekla, Windsor SLAMS Julia off barriers, and Jamie stomps a mudhole in the corner. The ref counts, Jamie lets off, but Skye and Windsor meet while tightrope walking the barriers! Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!
The fans fire up again and Thekla is feeling it while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!
Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!
Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.
Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!
Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!
Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!
Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification
The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!
The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.
Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!
The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
My Score: 9/10
