IMPACT News: Current Impact Wrestling Star Signs Long-Term Contract
It was just announced today that current IMPACT Wrestling Knockout Tessa Blanchard has signed a long-term deal with the company. You can check out the tweet below:

Tessa Blanchard is a third generation star, the granddaughter of wrestler and promoter Joe Blanchard, as well as the daughter of Tully Blanchard and step-daughter of Magnum TA. Tessa didn’t decide to become a wrestler until 2012 or early 2013. She made her IMPACT debut at the Redemption PPV back in April of this year during the Kiera Hogan vs. Taya Valkyrie match. During her time on the commentary table that night, she claimed that she was better than any Knockout on the roster and that she was undeniable. Following Redemption, Tessa would find herself in a feud with Kiera Hogan. The two Knockouts clashed on the May 17th episode of IMPACT on Pop which marked Tessa’s in-ring debut. She would win the match, but begin a post-match beat down which prompted the returning Madison Rayne to come off of commentary and make the save. Since her debut, Blanchard has two wins over Kiera Hogan and two losses to Madison Rayne.
Here is Scott D’Amore’s reponse to the breaking news:
Excited to have an elite athlete like @Tess_Blanchard part of @IMPACTWRESTLING for years to come https://t.co/oLBQ3WeVdJ

Tessa Blanchard has also made appearances for WWE as one of Adam Rose’s Rosebuds in 2014 and make her in-ring debut onn NXT in 2016 (losing to Alexa Bliss). She would then go on to lose two more matches that same year to both Nia Jax and Carmella. In 2017, Tessa returned to WWE to compete in the inaugural Mae Young Classic.
Tessa Blanchard’s Resume:
- 1 time PCW Ultra Women’s Champion
- 1 time and current Phoenix of RISE Champion
- 1 time Shimmer Tag Team Champion was with Vanessa Kraven
- 1 time EWA Heavyweight Champion
Ja’ Von’s Take: This is good news for not only fans of Tessa Blanchard or Impact Wrestling but the company itself. Tessa has continued to impress me with her in-ring ability with only a few years under her belt. I’m a fan of hers and agree that she is undeniable and will become Knockouts Champion one day soon. She is the perfect fit to the Impact roster and I look forward to see what she does next in Impact Wrestling.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
