WWE News: Cody & Matt Jackson On Why They May Not Go To WWE
With the highly anticipated All In event now just over a week away, taking place next Saturday, September 1st from the Sears Centre in Chicago, many fans wonder if the men producing the show, Cody and The Young Bucks, may be headed to the WWE not long after.
We know that Cody and The Young Bucks, plus IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega’s contracts are all expiring in early 2019 (check that out here) and it was reported that the WWE was ready to make them all some big offers to come into the company (or return in Cody’s case). Cody and Matt Jackson recently appeared on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho podcast and discussed the possibility of making the move, more specifically saying that it might not be the place for them:
Cody: “Somebody asked me the other day, ‘Would you go back?’ And the answer has pretty much definitely become, ‘I don’t think so’. Not because I don’t like WWE or WrestleMania or I don’t like money or I don’t like the big production. Because I am literally now incapable of taking direction. If you told me you’re gonna write something for me…no. If you told me you’re gonna produce something…no. If you have me a time and a finish…cool, but even that I’m literally…I don’t want to discourage because you’ve got Arn Anderson, you’ve got Mike Rotunda…you’ve got these guys…out of respect for sure. But, out of respect for myself, it’s my song that I go out there to play.”
Matt: “That would be so hard for me and Nick because we’re DIY. Like, from the ground up we’ve made every decision on our own. We’ve built ourselves up to this empire now on our own. So it would be like, ‘How can I hand over the keys to this car to someone at this point?’. Like I’d feel so afraid. But, you know the rules have changed now. I told Nick this the other day. I was like now everybody eventually wants to be where we’re at currently and we did it without having to go there. Because eventually, you want to get to a point where [Jericho] is at where you call your own shots, you do whatever you want, you have fun…that’s what we do already! We never had to go there. It’s like we’re fortunate and we’re lucky to be in the situation we are because it’s never happened before, like ever.”

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
