EVOLVE News: Roderick Strong Officially Added To EVOLVE 117 Title Match & More
Roderick Strong has officially been added to EVOLVE 117 & 118!
At this point, the relationship between WWN’s EVOLVE and the WWE is well documented, as currently we have Fabian Aichner as the EVOLVE Champion, while The Street Profits are the holders of the EVOVLE Tag Team Titles.
Unfortunately, we won’t be getting the clash of companies as LAX is no longer set to face The Street Profits at the December 15th EVOLVE 117 in Queens, New York or EVOLVE 118 the next night in Deer Park, New York after IMPACT pulled them from both dates (see that news here). However, some banter on social media from another NXT Superstar led to fans drawing the obvious conclusion he will be appearing at the shows for EVOLVE.
Over the weekend, NXT Tag Team Champion and The Undisputed Era’s Roderick Strong took notice of what’s been going on in EVOLVE on Twitter, which then led to some reports his participation for EVOLVE was been confirmed:
Thought of the day- NXT Superstars holding #EVOLVE titles? Well there are no bigger Superstars than the #UndisputedERA and I’ve won just about every @WWNLive title but the #EVOLVE title. So Maybe Dec. 15th I come to La Boom and #ShocktheSystem? #OurERA

This caught the eye of Darby Allin then Fabian Aichner, who is scheduled to defend his EVOLVE Championship at EVOLVE 117 against Austin Theory, who also would chime in:
Before you go around throwing challenges…..TAKE a hard look at who's been fighting for that EVOLVE championship.
So before I learn my lesson let's see how bad things can get.
Come on down to EVOLVE and pay me a visit at EVOLVE 118 on Dec 16 in Deer Park, NY. https://t.co/rFJ1ppmHXz

Interesting thought Hot Rod! U can show up anytime you want. But just know this….If you push me, I will push you back! #ChallengeAccepted https://t.co/XrrNqRP2Tu

Hold up, Roddy. Yeah, it’s #undisputed you are great, but the EVOLVE Championship is mine. I’m getting the shot on Dec. 15th at EVOLVE 117 at La Boom. Just a heads up you will not #shockthesystem because I’m the #NeXT EVOLVE Champ. Dunna dun dun da dun da…😉 https://t.co/QnBk7BOPgt

Today, WWE has now announced that the match is official as Roderick Strong and Austin Theory will challenge Fabian Aichner for the EVOLVE Title in a Triple Threat at EVOLVE 117 on Saturday, December 15th in Queens. Additionally, he will go one-on-one with the aforementioned Darby Allin at EVOLVE 118 the following night in Deer Park.

Former WWE Star Reveals How Company Tests Wrestlers for an “Attitude Problem”
A former WWE star took to social media to explain, in brief, how WWE evaluates its talent to determine whether they have an “attitude problem.” The post offered a glimpse into the company’s behind-the-scenes vetting process, suggesting that behavior and professionalism are actively monitored during a wrestler’s time with the promotion.
While the explanation was limited, the revelation underscores WWE’s focus on maintaining locker-room culture and managing talent dynamics. Fans and industry observers may read the post as further evidence that character and conduct behind the curtain can be as consequential as in-ring performance.

WWE Backlash Match Sparks “Clone War” Debate in Wrestling Community
Wrestling fans and insiders are abuzz after a match at WWE Backlash was accused of “copycatting” a formula previously used by an independent wrestler, a situation some are calling a new “clone war” in the industry. The controversy highlights growing concerns about creative overlap between major promotions and the indie scene.
The debate raises questions about originality and recognition, with observers wondering whether mainstream companies should acknowledge or adapt indie ideas more transparently. As the story spreads, fans and performers alike are watching to see how promotions handle influence, credit, and creative borrowing moving forward.
