Fandango is nearing closer to getting cleared for a ring return!

It’s no secret that the WWE’s Monday Night RAW roster has been hit hard with injuries in recent months and even more so, the last handful of weeks with the likes of Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss and others all being shelved with varying issues.

While it looks like Braun Strowman and possibly Alexa Bliss could be back sooner rather than later (see the latest on Alexa here), another injured WWE Superstar has flown under the radar a little with regards to updates on his status. If you remember, Fandango was forced to undergo surgery for a torn labrum back in July (see the story here) with the expectation he would be out of action for approximately six months. While we’re now at roughly five months out, we have an indication that his return to the red brand could be just around the corner.

According to PWInsider, Fandango has been down at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando for the last few days working out. Of course, if you’ve followed along with the general path for Superstars returning from an injury, getting back into shape at the Performance Center is always among the last steps before gaining clearance. It should be noted that there is no definitive timetable for Fandango’s return to television or the road at this time.

EA’s Take: If you’re a proponent of getting RAW’s Tag Team Division back on track, this is good news. Of course, that’s assuming WWE puts Fandango back with Tyler Breeze, which I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t. It’s not like Breeze is doing much of anything other than showing up at NXT. Remember how hot Breezango got with the Fashion Files? It’s borderline mind boggling to me that we didn’t see any of that on RAW since they were moved during the Superstar Shakeup. Regardless, if WWE can go back to giving us some of that on Monday nights, I think Breezango could get enough momentum to at least be players in a Tag Team Division that seemingly has none right now.
